Art Workshops for Adults

Youth Art Workshops PRE-SCHOOL PLAYTIME

Tuesdays, January 17 - February 21, 10:30 - 11:30 am In this hour-long session, little ones get a variety of fun exposure to art activities each week. This includes but is not limited to: sensory bins, finger painting, necklace making, music circles, and dancing. Open to ages 2-4 with guardian. Younger siblings allowed at no extra charge.

CLAY CLUB (ADULTS)

Tuesdays, January 10 - March 28, 12 - 3 pm Artists who have taken at least one CTAC Pottery class and have proven safe use of the studio are eligible for this weekly facilitated studio session. Includes open studio access.

CLAY CLASS (ADULT BEGINNER)

Fridays, January 13 - February 17, 12:00 - 3:00 pm This course is designed for beginner clay and pottery artists.

HIGH SCHOOL PORTFOLIO

PORTFOLIO REVIEW

Tuesday, January 10, 3:30 - 6:30 pm Sign up for a one-on-one portfolio review with Ms. Egan. In this session, you will get constructive feedback on your creative work. Portfolio reviews are required if you wish to be considered for need and merit-based scholarships for HS Portfolio.

CLAY CLASS (ADULT INTERMEDIATE)

Tuesdays, January 10 - February 14, 4:00 - 7:00 pm This six-week class meets during the day on Tuesdays evenings (4:00 - 7:00 pm). This course is designed for experienced clay and pottery artists.

Fridays, January 20 - February 24, 3:30 - 5:00 pm Open to grades K-3, Art Explorers is an afterschool art experience that serves as an outlet for the creative kiddo.

THE ART OF KEEPING A PERSONAL JOURNAL

Tuesdays, January 17 - February 21, 3:30 - 5:00 pm This six-week class explores different techniques for writing—and keeping—a personal journal. Through a series of demonstrations, guided discussions, and various writing prompts, participants will develop a journal that will help deepen their creativity and self-awareness. The only supplies needed are a journal or notebook and yourself!

NARRATIVE ART (MIDDLE GRADE)

Wednesdays, March 1 - 22, 3:30 - 5:00 pm Like to draw? Interested in comics, graphic novels, or anime? This class will teach some basic illustration techniques that will allow you to create your own unique visual stories.

ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES

Wednesdays, January 18 - February 22, 10:00 - 12:00 pm In a partnership with Challenge Mountain, Adults with Disabilities is a weekly program at Crooked Tree Arts Center focused around holding an artistic space for adults living with physical, cognitive, and developmental disabilities.
