BE CLEAN EVERYWHERE

Zero is a band aimed at tackling Infection. Primarily intended for hospital staff, it allows users to always have sanitizer gel with them. Zero works on a cartridge system. Once you run out of gel, simply pick up another cartridge, clip in and go. Annual number of deaths due to hospital infection are falling. last year 1,646 deaths were linked to infection in the UK. However this figure is too high. This figure should be zero, the answer should be ‘Zero’.

Clip in ‘Gel pod’ to the main band.

Rub hands together for a cleaner experience. Different colour bands represent different members of staff within the hospital. This is to aid communication with patients.

Press button to release sanitizer gel.

Close the band, until mechanism clicks.

Push down main button, to release sanitizer gel.

Gel, released from the underside of the band, straight into the users palm.

VOKE

Range Rover branding project

Our brief, was to design an automotive oil bottle in the theme of an assigned brand. My concept, functions as an oil bottle and also embodies the luxurious and robust aspects of the Range Rover brand.

Common tones and colours found within the Range rover brand.

‘Do it’ is an application aimed at helping O2 customers to get more involved in volunteering locally. Users can opt to do volunteering projects or create their own to get done. Key features include the ability to swipe side to side to access all screens and location sensative information.

Wire framing and user testing was put into practice to develop an appropriate screen flow.

10

Upon entering the home screen, choose ‘Do’ a project or ‘Get done’ to create your own.

Bluu is a mens hairdryer, designed in the theme of Braun. It is aimed at increasing usability in public for young/ middle aged men. The upright stature of the product enables a different aesthetic and approach.

12

Discovered a clearer way to display the power and intensity of the hairdryer, after disassembling it.

The hair drying proccess becomes more accessible by holding from the back. Heat and power controls are used on the sides of the product, this is displayed by the L.E.D’s above the main grip.

Point of sale, designed using products from braun.

Finger grips, allow the dryer to be pulled into the palm easily. They also incorporate power controls.

MITCHELL LEIGH Some friends and I cycled from London to Paris to help raise over ÂŁ140,000 for charity.

Personal When not designing or accumulating inspiration, I like to keep myself active. I am passionate about rugby, basketball and athletics. I have also been training Muay Thai kickboxing for three years. documenting my travels from behind a camera is important to me, as photography plays a big part of my life. I have been lucky enough to go on multiple snowboarding trips with friends and family.

To consistently move forward and achieve is fundamental to me. Equally to learn new skills and become the best designer I can.

Attention to detail

Being a perfectionist is imperative as a young designer. Unless my work is finished to a high standard, I won’t consider putting my name to it.

Teamwork and leadership

Having the inter-personal skills to work in a unit as a team member. But also the confidence to present work and be critiqued.
