REMOVING THE JUNK FROM THE COMMUNITY TRUNK ~In A World Filled With Hate - We must Emulate L.O.V.E.~ The purpose of this magazine is to provide you with specialized information from a unique community; dedicated to and built upon the Love and Light of Michael Jackson.
There should be no room for old junk in a new trunk. Michael is a new creature in Christ Jesus. The old MJ has passed away and behold, all things concerning him have become new.
We bring you this material by way of the countless groups and projects created because of Michael Jackson.
We wish to be an avenue to the beautiful things going forward; and share those things in this magazine once a month. We want to appeal to the rooted fans as well as the innovative.
This magazine will be dedicated to those projects with undertakings that build up the community; and actually possess the healing and light properties needed to help change a world filled with darkness and a community that has become infested with it.
Don’t put JUNK in your new TRUNK. It devalues your new found treasure.
Editors All rights reserved © 2014 What’s REALLY Going ON Magazine
We wish to provide the Community Trunk, the new body of Michael Jackson, with information about new and delightful support projects. There has been too much “Junk” attached to his trunk and it is time we start anew by peeling away the old and rotted garbage from his amazing trunk, his community. We hope you will be a part of the solution and not the rubbish.
“What’s REALLY Going ON” a magazine to promote MJ and Non-MJ related Groups/Projects/Events.

XÅ}tç _táwÉvx Visual Artist Since I was a child I always love to draw everything I love. Trees, flowers, butterflies and other beautiful things. But other than that I use to love Michael Jackson too as an 8 yrs. old child. I first saw him on TV when I was 8 but didn't got the good chance to draw his face because I’m still a child and I draw basic things or I'm more wild in using my imagination in making an art. But years pass by and I still love MJ, I was 13 when first draw MJ. It was his thriller era face, he is so beautiful. His face is a very interesting face to draw. And I draw him everyday sign of my love and respect to him. Years came by and a very sad news came and that's stops me to draw anything. I was so broken I felt like a piece of me had gone with him. I really love him and cried my heart out for his death. I stop for almost 2 years. But not until one of my friend told me to be part of their art club and I agreed to join them and start to draw MJ again... I felt happy when I draw him and all my friends loved it so I continue until now. I draw, paint and imagine things about MJ and tried to make magic on my simple paper. I am happy that people loved my drawings. I am still learning till this day, and I'm always ready to learn more about art and soon create my own master piece MJ painting. I really love Michael Jackson and I'm expressing my love for him through my art. ~Emjay Lasdoce~ Philippines h ps://www.facebook.com/emjay.lasdoce 8

In 2009, three months after the passing of Michael Jackson, a series of unexplainable and unequivocal events compelled the author, Donna Massa-Chappee, to create “The Michael Jackson Series.” This is a narrative of a true story of Donna’s own personal experiences that led her to reveal the Untold Stories of Michael Jackson through illustration. The book also includes twelve hand-drawn illustrations using the Art Mediums: Prismacolor Pencils, soft pencil, pen & ink, and Chinese white watercolor. These Fine Art illustrations are accompanied by individual descriptions that explain in detail the man, the artist, his vision, and the importance of his legacy. In writing this book the Author/Illustrator Donna Massa-Chappee’s intentions are to inform, inspire, and explain the mysteries of what was to come if Michael had lived, what he wanted us to know, and most importantly, to share the true meaning of his legacy with the world and the many generations to come. New Release by: Ledisi “Intimate Truth” You can tell when a woman has finally come into her own. It's in the swivel of her hips, the growl in her voice and the joy that brightens her face when she smiles. A woman filled with confidence is a force to be reckoned with. For singer songwriter Ledisi, that exuberance rings through on every track of her new album The Truth. "I changed my life!" Ledisi says with a laugh. "With every album I grow, and with The Truth I am really starting to accept myself fully. I mean, I've always felt great about myself, but this time I've gone to a new level." READ MORE HERE

UNCHARTERED WATERS - NICOLE & SCOTTY
Happy New Year to everyone! Scotty and I have been having a very eventful month so far. With future radio appearances scheduled, performances and shows, and of course always writing songs and juggling home studies and fun, it's been a great year so far. I figured I would write the article for this month as a bit of an update for everyone on what we've been up to lately, as we've been doing so much.
25
In November of 2014, Scotty and I had our first ever in-station radio appearance, which was amazingly exciting and was such a huge milestone on our journey. We've been interviewed live on air before, and our music is played in regular rotation on several stations in the US and in parts of Europe as well. Our interviews had only been over the phone, so this was set aside as a major event for us. Our interview and live performance for KHTS 1220 AM was a huge success through and through, and if you'd care to see all 3 parts of our segment you may click on the 3 links: PART 1: H T T P :// G O O . G L /O L U UT P PART 2:

Part 3: (our live performance)
Mom, Nicole and Scotty standing in front of Michael Jackson’s Neverland front gate.
Back in December of 2014, Scotty and I began a project that we've been longing to start for some time. We have set out on a mission to perform in schools all across Southern California. Our aim is to raise awareness for and promote anti-bullying methods by performing our original songs and speaking to the children from our own experience overcoming bullying. The essence of our 3 songs released on our debut album ( which you may purchase here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/the-rise-of-the -storm/id907356791?i=907358098&ignmpt=uo%3D4 ) are all reflective stories of overcoming difficulties, the main message being to rise above doubt and pain to become who you truly are and were born to be.
lieve in and fight for. It's the kind of thing you wait all your life to do as an artist. Go back to where they treated you so wrong and not only prove your worth, but verify your message and set out to change and heal lives. After we had performed our original song, "Barefoot Traveler", we met an amazing applause and several little ones running up to us for hugs. That we were able to reach out to such young kids and that they received what our songs are about and what we stand for is a huge deal to us. It shows us that we're absolutely on the right track when we get messages telling us that someone's 4 year old listens to our CD in the car every day, or that someone's 3 year old watches all of our YouTube videos, dancing on his bed and singing along. Or when we get messages thanking us for bringing "Barefoot Traveler" into existence because it has helped them get through a difficult day at work, or when we receive tweets such as "OMG I'm in LOVE with "The Rise Of The Storm!" and "I blasted "Stricken" as I did a truckload of homework today." That's the reason we do what we do.
We played our first school on the 16th of December, at the elementary school Scotty and I attended when we were younger. It was an amazing, surreal feeling, going back to the stage where we tried out for talent shows or had participated in plays; standing in front of teachers who had known us as small, outspoken (and a bit rebellious) children who had struggled with being bullied on a regular basis, standing onstage giving their school a concert, performing our songs, and delivering a message we so be26
We set out on this path to deliver peace and healing through cleansing, soul-nourishing music. Our sole purpose is to help people. Music is what saved my life and got us through so many rough, rough times. We want to be able to bring the same healing to people in need. In today's music a common factor missing from popular songs is substance. We're bringing that back. If you'd care to check out our performance at the first school on our list, click here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdXjZrVgeZQ
Happy New Year once again ya'll, and please stay tuned as big things are happening for us! In celebration of the New Year, Scotty and I edited our most memorable moments throughout 2014 into a compilation video for our dear fans, and after several days of working with complicated software and technology (as this is not at all our forte), we successfully completed our end of the year video. On the 8th it was what would have been music legend Elvis Presley's 80th birthday, a huge celebration for Elvis fans everywhere and for his family as well. As we've had the honor of meeting the Presley family and have spent time onstage and off with his daughter, my singing inspiration Lisa Presley, it was really important to us to do something special to commemorate the day. Scotty and I paid tribute to the king of rock and roll and created our own rendition of one of his biggest hits, “Can’t Help Falling In Love".

We received a n abundance of positive feedback on our version of the timeless ballad, and we were so thrilled that it was received as such. Here is the link to the video if you all would like to check it out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZrEvX6Vnqs And of course, in addition to all these fun happenings, Scotty and I have been spending a great amount of time doing what we love most, which is writing songs. We are preparing to release a single off our debut album later next month, so please stay tuned! And also to check out videos from our live performances, home recordings, interviews and so much more. PLAYING FOR CHANGE MUSIC AND MUSICIANS HELP TO SPREAD P L I T W
Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On” Song Around the world
-winning documentary, “A Cinematic Discovery of Street Musicians.”
Playing for Change is a multimedia music project born in 2002 as a shared vision between cofounders, Mark Johnson and Whitney Kroenke to inspire, connect, and bring peace to the world through music. The idea for this project arose from a common belief that music has the power to break down boundaries and overcome distances between people. Producers started to hit the streets of America with a mobile recording studio and cameras in search of inspiration and the heartbeat of the people. Then traveled around the world to places including Barcelona, South Africa, India, Nepal, the Middle East and Ireland. Using mobile recording equipment, the duo recorded local musicians performing the same song, interpreted in their own style. Among the artists participating or openly involved in the project are Vusi Mahlasela, Louis Mhlanga, Clarence Bekker, Tal Ben Ari (Tula), Bono, Keb' Mo', David Broza, Manu Chao, Grandpa Elliott, Keith Richards, Toots Hibbert from Toots & the Maytals, Taj Mahal, Stephen Marley. This musical journey resulted in the award

Donors can either make a one-time gift to fund a student, or set up monthly contributions. Click here to make a donation and support music education for children worldwide. One of the last effort to support students in underserved urban areas, Playing For Change will be hosting “Playing For Change Day” played September 19th in Los Angeles in a event created together with Celerity Schools at the Celerity Troika School in Highland Park, CA.
The project's "Stand by Me" video is widely popular online, with over 65 million hits on YouTube as of August 2014.
Numerous studies have proven that sustained learning in music and the performing arts improves skills in math and reading and promotes creativity, social development, personality adjustment, and selfworth.
The Playing For Change Foundation create and supporting music schools, principally in developing countries. Five music schools and a total of nine music programs have been created since 2008:
Ntonga Music School, Gugulethu, South Africa
Bizung music and dance school, Tamale, Ghana
Udayapur Nepal Music Program, [(Udayapur district, Nepal)]
Ecole de musique de Kirina, Kirina, Mali
Tintale Village Mother's Society, Nepal
Star School Music Program, [(Kigali, Rwanda)}
Mitrata Nepal village Music Program, Kathmandu Nepal
The Hari Kul Music School, Kathmandu, Nepal
Khlong Toey Music Program, [(Bangkok, Thailand)]
Playing for Change school curriculum accomplishes all that and more. Based on the United Nations’ Millennium Goals and the soon to be adopted Sustainability Goals, the curriculum promotes creative exploration of what it means to be a positive steward of the planet. What’s more, Playing for Change’s innovative mobile techniques and the universal power of music itself invites children the world over to collaborate in that exploration. Playing for Change Foundation currently provides free classes in dance, musical instruments, and music theory to more than 700 students at nine music schools and programs it has established in Africa, Nepal and Thailand. Playing for Change, the PFC Foundation and Celerity Global Development have now partnered to further support those existing programs and to expand the curriculum to schools within the United States and globally, beginning with Celerity Schools in California, Louisiana, Florida, and Ohio. The new International Music Program will be headquartered in Los Angeles.
In 2011, the Playing For Change Foundation joined forces with the 1Love Foundation in order to establish an annual Playing For Change Day. The goal of the annual Playing For Change Day is to “unite a global community through the power of music to affect positive social change”. In 2012, the PFC Day consisted of over 330 events across 52 countries and helped raise over $150,000 for the Playing For Change and1Love Foundations, and in 2013, 1Love PFC Day saw over 300 events in 56 countries. In 2013, the Foundation introduced the Stand by Me Scholarship program, allowing people to sponsor a child to learn music for an entire year. Scholarships are need-based and are given to children who could not participate otherwise.

The Effect “Over the course of this project, we decided it was not enough for our crew just to record and share this music with the world; we wanted to create a way to give back to the musicians and their communities that had shared so much with us. Motown fans had another chance to groove along to The Jacksons as they performed their classic hits “ABC” and Blame it on the Boogie as well as their late brother Michael’s hits “Rock With You” and “Beat It” — which critics didn’t seem to like very much and commented as follows: ...on the one hand, it’s utterly captivating that four of Michael’s brothers, all well into their sixties, are still rocking The Jackson 5 songbook. On the other, it’s surprising that they think nothing of plundering the King of Pop’s legacy for their own gain. It was a party, and everybody wanted to hear ABC and Blame it on the Boogie – both dispensed early in a medley. But covering MJ’s tunes such as Rock With You and Beat It, and beaming photo montages of the late singer’s life and times on a big screen backdrop, just felt tasteless. Still, this was a memorable bill, the kind you’d beg and borrow for – and easily my best NYE on record”. (The national.ae)

Why Are Children Homeless in America? The Boys and Girls Club of Anaheim "Motel Kids Outreach Program" h ps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvYoMN4ujNs
Video Credit: Jamie Koh The goal of the Motel Kids Outreach Program is to provide atrisk, homeless children sheltered in motels, as well as children residing in low-income housing, with access to services and youth development programs at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Anaheim, as a means of intervention, keeping children safe, and offering the hope of a positive future outside the cycle of poverty. Through this Outreach Program, motel children are offered annual membership scholarships to attend the Club and are provided with complimentary transportation to and from their motel (or low-income residence) and club facilities, six days per week.

WHAT’S THE REAL PROBLEM IN THIS STORY? Western NY 4th graders planned to kill teacher with hand sanitizer because she was 'mean' Three elementary school students in Elba, N.Y., planned to kill their fourth grade teacher using hand sanitizer, according to multiple reports. The teacher had informed students that she was highly allergic to hand sanitizer and banned it in the classroom. According to the Daily News, the alleged plan unraveled just before winter break, when a student who had heard about it told parents, who then brought it to the attention of the school board. The plot allegedly stemmed from bullying issues in the particular fourth grade class, which had "problems working together," according to the police report. READ FULL STORY HERE.
and unspoken things. Hence, all people should be somewhat educated about children and how to behave when around them. If we want peace on this planet ever, this would be one of the main things to work on.... KV: The second most important thing people should work on regarding children if we want peace on this planet is to teach them from the youngest age that all sentient beings deserve respect; and have a right to live and be free. not just people, but animals too. If we teach them that it is ok to kill some and not ok to kill others, as whatever we feel is right, how do we expect then to grow up and not come up with an idea like that? Wen as we see, they are capable of such ideas very early. It's ok to kill, if my reasons are good enough for me. That is what they learn when we teach them that it is ok to imprison, mutilate and kill animals, just because we have some reasons for our own use (none of which are necessary in today’s age any more). Indeed, as Pythagoras once said “As long as Man continues to be the ruthless destroyer of other living beings, he will never know health or peace. For as long as men massacre animals, they will kill each other. Indeed, he who sows the seed of murder and pain cannot reap joy and love.” PLEASE, just think about what I've just said. There is a brilliant book that can help you understand what I mean, written by equally brilliant psychologist, Melanie Joy called, Why We Love Dogs, Eat Pigs, and Wear Cows: An Introduction to Carnism: The Belief System That Enables Us to Eat Some Animals and Not Others
I posted the link to this story along with the following comment and question on a social internet site: This is sad. These are babies. Why would they even be thinking about doing something like this? We don't need to just say we will pray. WE REALLY NEED TO PRAY FOR OUR CHILDREN. What happened to them? LM: From violence in video games JR: Michael said it so eloquently that our children need affection and attention. They wanna be kissed, held, told and shown that they're loved. Families don't sit down at the dinner table and eat together anymore. Parents need to reconnect with their children. It starts at home. CS: This is a well to do Suburban town near me. Some parents knew about this "plan" and told no one. This happened in December but wasn't known until January. With the lawyer's Involved, there's no way they would have been charged with attempted murder.
Social psychologist Melanie Joy explores the many ways we numb ourselves and disconnect from our natural empathy for farmed animals. She coins the term "Carnism" to describe the belief system that has conditioned us to eat certain animals and not others.
KV: "If you can’t feed your baby, then don’t have a baby." Same goes for "If you don’t know how to raise a baby properly, or don’t have a genuine interest, then don’t have a baby." It all comes from what they experience at home as young children. There lies the main culprit. Then of course, the media and what else they get exposed to. Even people who don’t have children have a responsibility to behave properly when in the company or presence of a child. They absorb everything like sponges, even moods
JR: KV, Michael even said that if we're going to heal this world we must start with our children. My father is a sick man. He's in prison for the rest of his life for doing to my niece what he did to me for the first 17 years of his life, but my mother was my light. She taught me about God, forgiveness, love, and selflessness. I learned poise from my mother and how to represent myself to my child and to the world. I spent 14 years drinking myself away. By the grace of God I've been sober now over 5 years. It is be52
cause of my mother's example and what she instilled in me. People ask me if I blame her for my father's abuse. Without hesitation I say no. My mother was groomed and manipulated and controlled by my father so he could keep her there knowing if she left she'd take me with her. I've never known any parent who've loved their children more than my mother loved us. Thank God I had her because He saved me through her.
13 years before my father came into her life and she had 4 children to raise. Me and my two brothers came after she got with my father. There are many precursors to why things turned out like they did. My father doesn't see what he did and think that he did anything wrong. He was raised in an incestuous home. My mother was emotionally, physically and psychologically battered and broken when my father came along. She had three daughters, one son, and she was an easy target for a man like my father. I understand all of the logistics of it now as an adult.
KV: Important thing is you got a good outcome in the end. But you see, it’s a domino effect. Bad parenting is taken from generation to generation, it is not very common for people to understand that what their parents were doing was wrong. Your father was doing horrible things, yes, but I wonder what his childhood was like? Your mom was manipulated and controlled, begs the same question, what were her parents like to her? Why didn’t she learn how not to be manipulated and controlled? All these things demand education. It is not easy to raise children. There are many many things that can go wrong , if parents don't know how the development and psyche of the child works and they can learn just by simply reading a book or two. It's not that hard. But many people should not have children at all, cos they are simply not fit for it....
Today, I cherish and protect my son's innocence, rights, and freedom with a vengeance. I teach him to question everything, be kind, considerate, and respectful of others and he's well mannered. He's sensitive to how other people feel. He's 7 and I guard him literally with my life. If the chain was to be broken it's up to me and I will not ever allow my son to hurt like I have. LV: JR I love youuuuu! Because you.....#AnExVictumOfSexaulAbuse

It was at this point in the conversation that I knew these ladies had discovered what the real problem was in this story. There is something terribly wrong in the lives of these children who thought they wanted to take this teacher’s life. The conversation continues.
CS: I agree with you some, KV. But if we as adults won't be held accountable... Yes, our children are watching. And this is a classic example. And yet the parents still show no accountability.
KV: Every young adult should be educated about chilCT: I believe it all begins at home... My mother always dren. It should be a mandatory subject in high schools. said to me.. And I say it every day "wars begin at home"... Everyone at some point in life encounters a child, let And how true that is to me. We must have love and haralone has one. And there are so many wonderful authors out there who have studied children in great http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/18/17527/auto/FlamesofWar‐ BloodyOmahaDesembarcoenNormandiaPlayaOmaha6dejuniode1944.jpg depths and know stuff. Stuff that work. I know, cos I've PHOTO CREDIT tried many of them and I see them as true in everyday life.... CS: Please forgive me. I get emotional on this subject. I have grandchildren this age. And I can't accept them doing something like this! You'd probably read about me beating the hell out of them! Don't get me wrong, I normally don't hit my grands. But something like this...yes I would! Up here in Western New York, this has been a BIG debate. JR: KV, my father's parents were horrible. They degraded him all the time. All he had were sisters and his parents let him learn how to kiss with his sisters. My mother never was good enough for family and her mother. She was seen as a disappointment, honestly. She was also married to a very abusive alcoholic for

mony in our families. It all begins with us. If we cant get along with our own siblings or parents what is left for us?
abused It very very hard to trust aman and see the Innocence within them! People have to educate themselves!
Wow, "Wars Begin At Home". I never thought of it like that and it’s absolutely true. My God. If that is truly how we go so wrong there are a lot of people at fault and we try to blame everyone but US. CT used the word "War" and that’s exactly what it is when we really look at it further. The war starts in the home and the children carry the battles outside of the home. For instance to school and many become bullies because they need a place to where they feel they can release their anger.
JR: MJ Michael helped me through my abuse as well. I was a teenager when I heard Childhood. I don't remember most of the first 12 years of my life from the trauma of the abuse and when I heard that song for the first time I couldn't move. Finally, someone understood my pain and my longing and even though the world didn't know it was my story. just knowing that that lost childhood was a common bond between him and I and to know that by telling his story he was telling mine as well meant everything to me. I wasn't alone with it anymore and through his own pain and artistic expression he gave mine a voice. Will You Be There was another one because I felt so isolated in my own private hell and it was like I was in a room full of people screaming at the top of my lungs and no one could hear me. Stranger In Moscow, "when you're alone and you're cold inside.... Like a stranger in Moscow. Lord have mercy!!" Right there. Wow. The first song of Michael's that had a profound impact on me I was 5. It's one of my few vague memories and it involves my Aunt Barbara, a big bowl of popcorn, and Pepsi with her stacks of VHS tapes of his concerts. We'd just sit and watch him and when he sang Man in the Mirror I asked her what it meant and she told me. I've used that song for inspiration, strength, and as a reminder when I need to remind myself of what matters most of my life. I'm so grateful for him and his love and his music
LV: But Also the character of a child plays a role. I was shy and Innocent; always in the background a lot keeping the harmony in the family by keeping my siblings from harm If something happened. I always created my own little world of Peace and LOVE! Now there is the internet so children can watch horror more easily. Yes, my parents also had fights. In the night I heard It all. My mother was crying and shouting after a night out! And one night she was fed up and ran away. She left us, her children, behind and our father took us to a children’s home. Afterwards my mother remarried another man and with that man she forgot to take us home. I was 10 years old then. A few months later the sexual abuse started. I’ve literally been through hell and back. Whenever I was alone he did it. I begged my mother to stay home but she did not listen; even crying and begging my siblings to stay home but they went out anyhow! Nobody heard my cries and seen my suffering until my little sister found a friend and got to meet her parents. I told them everything and these people took me Into their home!
This has been a very interesting, enlightening experience and conversation. Thank you to all those participated. Through this conversation a lot of light has been shed on the true nature of this unfortunate incident concerning the 4th graders in Elba, New York.
I thought I was safe, but no way, they also had fights and I was placed in the middle every time! That was not the only thing. At that time I was still a shy and innocent girl at age 13. I have helped victims of child abuse because I felt them. I also felt the guilty ones even before anyone else found it out. In 1993 MJ was the first Innocent one that I felt! I still believe in his Innocence, though I always will! I’ve learned so much from MJ over the years. If LOVE IS WITHIN YOU AFTHER ALL HELL HAPPENED TO YOU IT WONT LEAVE YOU AGAIN!
~MJ Brookins, Editor~
At this point of the conversation I asked “LV” how Michael Jackson had helped her get through the pain. I’ve read so many accounts or testimonies published by people who have given Michael credit for seeing them through bad times via his music and connecting with him on a spiritual level. I have to admit that he has helped me too, so these accounts are not foreign to me. LV: Because of his pure and Innocence. This was the main reason, that childlike character and his LOVE! I have seen God within him! But I know he’s not perfect and he don’t have to be perfect. After being sexually

h p://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2014/09/22/home‐free In 2005, Utah set out to fix a problem that’s often thought of as unfixable: chronic homelessness. The state had almost two thousand chronically homeless people. Most of them had mental-health or substance-abuse issues, or both. At the time, the standard approach was to try to make homeless people “housing ready”: first, you got people into shelters or halfway houses and put them into treatment; only when they made progress could they get a chance at permanent housing. Utah, though, embraced a different strategy, called Housing First: it started by just giving the homeless homes. Over time, Housing First has saved the government money. Homeless people are not cheap to take care of. The cost of shelters, emergency-room visits, ambulances, police, and so on quickly piles up. The average chronically homeless person used to cost Salt Lake City more than twenty thousand dollars a year. Putting someone into permanent housing costs the state just eight thousand dollars, and that’s after you include the cost of the case managers who work with the formerly homeless to help them adjust.

EVERLAND HAITI PRESCHOOL Everland Preschool is a desperately needed learning facility for children living in the Haitian village of Nod Dorcillien. Many such children are without any means of day care or educational provision. This preschool will provide much needed day time education to 75-100 children between the ages of 3-5 inclusive, at any given time. Older children will depart for the regular primary school, also in the locality. Staff salaries (teacher, maid, cook, overseers Mr. and Mrs. Pastor Paul), building maintenance and school fees all have to be figured into ongoing needs. Parents and guardians that can afford to pay a sum towards the children's day time education at the preschool will do so. For poorer families, the money made from the resident bakery together with sponsorship monies - should a child be sponsored - will make up any difference. Everland Preschool will not only facilitate in educating the children in the village, but it will be committed to educating as many children as possible, regardless of means or ability. All children using the centre will also receive breakfast. http://www.michaeljacksonslegacy.org/index.php/projects/mjl-children-s-world-haiti https://www.facebook.com/michaeljacksonslegacy/timeline https://www.facebook.com/events/1575424522669144/?ref_notif_type=plan_user_joined&source=1
#TeamKJ Support for Everland - Haiti Preschool http://www.michaeljacksonslegacy.org/index.php/projects/sponsor-a-child
SPONSOR A CHILD: EVERLAND HAITI SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM There are so many children in desperate need in Haiti that it would be virtually impossible to provide for them all. However, MJL Children's World is committed to helping as many children as is humanely possible. Sponsorship aims to offer the opportunity of education, to give hope to the next generations, and to break the cycle of poverty by providing the basic needs for survival. All of the children being offered for sponsorship are in desperate need. They come from backgrounds of neglect and poverty. Many are given to the community by the local hospital, where they have been abandoned by a parent that is too young or too poor to care for them. Others have been tragically disposed of and subsequently rescued from rubble and wasteland. These babies are much too young to have a big story. They are children who are dependent on carers for everything: uniform, school materials, food, clothes, shoes. Without help, they will just remain in village, begging for food and surviving in whatever way they can. Some will make it, some will not. READ MORE HERE. 57

WHAT IS MJ THINKING ON THIS PICTURE ? “HMM WHAT AM I GOING TO DO WITH ALL THIS CUSHION”. WELL HE SAID HE WAS ALL ABOUT LOVE WITH ALL THIS LOVE AND CUSION HE IS TRULY RESTING COMFORTABLY IN PEACE. One of the most precious attributes Michael Jackson expressed was LOVE FOR ALL. However one of the most interesting discoveries about Michael Jackson was his fascination attraction and love for full figured women. Now we all know MJ often teased his baby sister Janet about her full derrière nick naming her DONK. Women with huge bottoms are often referred to as Donkey Booty or BADONKADONK. Based on our research in speaking with various individuals who knew and worked with Michael Jackson, we found several stories about his love for plus size beauties. Let’s now explore the history of Full Figured Women. Although we see pictures of Adam and Eve portrayed thin. How can this be when they were giants in the land according to bible scrip‐ tures. Eve was most likely a full figured woman. Cleopatra was full figured and so was Queen Anne and Queen Elizabeth of England. The standard of beau ful women for several centuries have always been Rubenesque. 62
This painting is done by Peter Paul Ruben (hence the term Rubenesque which describes curvy more full figured women) he painted during the early 1600's.
MICHAEL JACKSON AND THE LARGER LOVELY ONES Although there was a beautiful thin woman as MJ love interest in “THE WAY YOU MAKE ME FEEL” MUSIC VIDEO MJ appears to describe a woman more voluptuous. In the video MJ takes his hands and makes the shape of a Full Figured Woman it is very subliminal. MJ has done this in several concerts and it is always during “The Way You Make Me Feel”. Because full figured women are extremely soft and cushiony. “THE WAY YOU MAKE ME FEEL VIDEO” 2:09 MJ TAKES HIS HANDS AS HE IS DANCING AND MAKES THE COKE BOTTLE SHAPE OF AN INVISIBLE FULL FIGURED WOMEN. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzZ_urpj4As MJ REPEATS THIS SAME DESCRIPTION HERE DURING THE LIVE PERFORMANCE OF “THE WAY YOU MAKE ME FEEL” LIVE IN CONCERT WARSAW POLAND IN 1996 45 SECONDS INTO THE VIDEO. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdrXndmETpE MJ’s “Moon Walker” film featured A Full Figured Claymation girl dressed very sexy. She could have been dressed very homely but she had on a sexy purple dress which you can barely see before she screams and faints when MJ disguised as a rabbit rides past her and the other ladies on a bike. The only thing I don’t like about the scene is she is the only one that fainted the other girls just screamed, which gives the viewer the impression that the big girl stood out and was very dramatic and made the scene more humorous. If you view the scene carefully it wouldn’t have the same effect without the full-figured claymation girl. In my opinion this was very honest to even have a full figured women represented as a sexy woman in this film. That was very rare to see back in the 80’s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GOLXN2jB1-k FULL FIGURED CLAYMATION GIRL 4:20 INTO VIDEO MJ ENJOYED SLEEPING IN A CALIFORNIA QUEEN SIZE BED https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cBkOrXObO0 at 1:49 reporter shows MJ’s bedroom and made a point to say “Michael didn’t enjoy sleeping in a King this is a CALIFORNIA QUEEN”. His bed in his private bedroom where no one was allowed had a Queen Size bed, of course a King would enjoy sleeping in a Queen. Of course MJ would get tons of rest with a QUEEN SIZED BEAUTY RIP MICHAEL. In this same video clip at 2:48 IN MIRROR YOU CAN SEE THE REFLECTION OF THE PORTRAIT OF A FULL FIGURED WOMAN ON THE WALL IN HIS PRIVATE BEDROOM. Although MJ was influenced by Jackie Wilson, Charlie Chaplin, and identified with the trial and tribulations of Fatty Arbuckle, no one influenced him more than James Brown who also was partial to full figured women. James Brown was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia where southern men have a reputation for being sweet on voluptuous women. 63

The media used sound bites and distorted the sermon just to use something to come against Obama. Due to media pressure during the campaign Obama discontinued his affiliation with Reverend Wright and rescinded his membership from Trinity Church fearing Wright’s teachings and beliefs portrayed in the media may cause damage to the campaign. VINCENT HARDING MEMORIAL WEEKEND h p://www.veteranso ope.org/blog/memorial‐weekend‐planned‐for‐dr‐vincent‐gordon‐harding‐ The memorial celebration was a 2 day weekend event July 25-26, 2014, a few days after what would have been Vincent’s 83rd birthday. Vincent and his first wife, Rosemarie Freeney Harding (who died in 2004), were organizers in the southern freedom movement where they were friends and colleagues of Rev. Dr. Martin and Coretta King. Vincent directed and/or co-founded several institutions, including Mennonite House in Atlanta, Georgia; the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change; the Institute of the Black World; and the National Council of Elders. At his death, Vincent was professor emeritus at the Iliff School of Theology where he and Rosemarie founded and co-chaired the Veterans of Hope Project, a 501c3 interdisciplinary initiative on religion, culture and social justice history, directed by their niece, Gloria, and daughter, Rachel, for the past 12 years.

BLACK, WHITE, RED AND GREY How Forcible Are Right Words! Call for Love Devotion for Jan. 11, 2015 How forcible are right words! (Job 6:25 KJV) This week in France, the editor and several staff members of a magazine were killed by terrorists, ostensibly because the latter objected to the publication of some cartoons. I was not familiar with the magazine, or the cartoons. But I am familiar with the concept of “freedom of expression.” It is essential to the freedom of a people, because it is through that very mechanism that divergent views can be expressed. We are free to disagree with the ideas of another, or even to find them distasteful, but formulating our own ideas is best accomplished by hearing many sides of an argument. I purposely read editorials that I suspect I may disagree with, simply because they actually help me clarify my own thoughts on a subject. Sometimes, in considering many sides of an issue, a new idea or position may emerge that can improve the world. It is for this reason that art and literature are so very important to free societies. They provide new ways of considering our world. When the “Black or White” video was released, parts of the public were outraged by the segment that has come to be known as the “panther dance.” Susan Fast, in her book Dangerous, puts it another way: “It was this (the panther dance) that made all hell break loose.” (p. 91). In it, Michael expresses his outrage at many racial stereotypes, and for that he was criticized. His artistic expression of senseless violence and black male sexuality upset those who wished to maintain the “status quo.” In fact, if we are paying attention, the entire video and song are telling us, among many other things, to stop seeing our world as a dichotomy, as either/or, as black/ white. The world is full of shades of grey. Our artists and journalists help us to see those shades, and perhaps in doing so, widen our own scope of vision. (Consider, for a moment, the scene in which Michael is standing on the torch of the Statue of Liberty, and as the camera pulls back, in the background we see images of many important buildings from around the world. He’s practically screaming at us to “widen our scope of vision!” This is an example of exquisite artistic work.) Perhaps, it will widen enough to include all of those we may see as the “other,” and come instead to understand that we share this planet and we are one.

IT'S TIME FOR A FUNERAL TGIF Today God Is First Volume 2, by Os Hillman I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me 2:20). “There's nothing wrong with you that a good funeral won't solve," I said to the "I'll even send you flowers!" She smiled in response. I was speaking to the woman who was stressing out about an issue in her life. Her problem was the same problem most of us have too much of "us" and enough of Jesus and the cross. Many of the daily problems in life can be by coming to an end of ourselves so Jesus can take over. I believe is what the psalmist meant when he said: "Precious in the sight of the is the death of his saints" (Ps 116:15). The apostle Paul recognized the need for a funeral too when he penned these "What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the of the Father, we too may live a new life" (Rom 6:1-4). Whenever we stress over a matter, get angry over a daily circumstance, or seek to have our own way - it is a sign there is still life in the grave. We need to fill it with dirt and smother the life of our flesh so that Christ may live freely, unhindered by the "old" man. Send yourself some flowers today. Have a good funeral.

church and began to notice that attendance was suffering. This continued until he finally asked some members of his congregation one Sunday morning why they thought attendance was down. A member volunteered, "It is because of this new church down the road. The young preacher has everyone talking and many are going to hear him speak." His name was Charles Spurgeon. Meyer, rather than seeking to discourage this, exhorted the entire congregation to join him and go participate in seeing this "move of God" as he described it to his congregation. "If this be happening, then God must be at work." Meyer, even though he was an accomplished preacher and teacher, recognized where God was at work and joined Him in it. [The author heard this on a radio show from Key Life Ministries with Steve Brown, based in Orlando, Florida.] Can you imagine this story taking place in our competitive world today? Competition has penetrated the Church so much that many churches and Christian organizations approach ministry like a sports event. They view their mission as a business that seeks to gain market share among Christians - donors, members, influence - all under the name of God. I am sure God looks down at us and asks, "Whatever happened to John 17:23?" Sometimes we must remind our fellow servants that we are all on the same team! We should be seeking to impact the Kingdom of God, not increase our own market share. When Jesus made this statement about unity in John 17:23, it represented the key to bringing salvation to many. He was saying that when His Body is unified, the non-Christian would be able to see who Jesus really is the Son of God. Are you contributing to unity in the Body of Christ? Or are you contributing to a spirit of competition? Ask God where you can be an instrument of unity in His Body.

“SHOUT IT OUT”
THE TRUTH ABOUT THE Accusation Of PLAGIARISM AGAINST MICHAEL JACKSON BY ALBANO CARRISI 87
We do not know many things about Michael Jackson, and much of what we know is incorrect...
ter of fact, reliable and convincing proof
that Michael had been even aware of Albano’s music. A few months later, the Court of Milan ruled that there was not a real plagiarism as both songs were devoid of originality being inspired by old American blues pieces by then “copyright free”.
He was too often flanked by teams of lawyers known for extortion and fraud, allegations, not to mention the bunch of so-called public relations officers who seemed to make their best to help the press to bring out negative or fake news all over the world. Another hoax they failed to dab is the one I’m going to explain in here:
MU at the court in Rome. (Photo)
It was 1992 when Michael Jackson was accused of plagiarism by an Italian singer named Albano Carrisi. The strange affair seems to have happened after the son of this singer listened to the song "Will you be there" and found a strong resemblance with a song his father composed in 1987 called "I cigni di Balaka (The Balaka swans) sang together with Romina Power. Michael ‘s song was published on November 26, 1991 on the "Dangerous" album and sold 32 million copies worldwide.
On that occasion, Albano was sentenced to pay all court expenses but then in May 1999, the Criminal Judge in Rome, Mr. Mario Frigenti, sided with Albano after the experts compared the songs and noticed the presence of as many as 37 consecutive identical notes in the choruses. For these reason the plagiarism was established and Michael was sentenced to pay a fine of four million lire (about $4000 US dollars).
Following Albano charges in 1994, the Civil District Court of Rome ordered the withdrawal of Michael’s album from the Italian market and Sony, which owned the rights to it had to reissue a new album version without the faulty song. (You have to be aware that in Italy plagiarism is a criminal offence, so automatically we had the procedures on MJ, civil and criminal.)
It was not granted the request of five billion of Italian liras (about 5 million US dollars) requested by Albano for the damages suffered.
However in 1997 the Court of Rome, following MJ’s deposition which had taken place at the District Court of Rome, revoked the 1994 seizure order because it was missing, as a mat-
(suffering damage??? Come on!!!) 88
Following the trial, Albano said he never believed that Jackson was inspired by his song but that some other people, close to him, gave him the track telling him it was unpublished.
Meanwhile and again in November 1999, the Milan Court of Appeal confirmed the 1999 sentence which proclaimed the songs in question devoid of originality so no plagiarism was made by MJ.
Probably, the judgment given in court, is very close to the real course of the events as it appears difficult to think that Michael was aware of the existence of Albano and even less of his music, never been published in the United States.
The story, therefore, clarified that the artists, both without knowing, had composed their songs based on their personal musical knowledge. Albano was sentenced to pay all court expenses since he was the one who initi-
The idea of both songs was taken from an old African American song of the group “The Ink Spots” devoid of copyright; “Bless You For Being An Angel” dated 1939. Listen to the below links and you will catch immediately the similarities: Bless You For Being An Angel Will you be there I cigni di Balaka Furthermore, the similarities are more between the original song and Michael’s “Will you be there”. How could Michael Jackson know Al Bano ?? Only because they shared the same label? And how many artists does Sony have under contract in the world ?
ated the lawsuit. It seems Michael helped with it. The legal issue, however, could have ended up in the Supreme Court, but the two artists made a confidential agreement that led to the final closure of the matter.
The fact is that it is a great mystery and what is disgusting is Al Bano’s attitude, because still to this day he has the nerve to continue the lie on this story he completely fabricated.
Later Albano told the media about an agreement reached between them for a concert in favor of the abused children in the world, which has never happened and I do not believe because MJ have NEVER mentioned such a possibility'.
During a television program he made "clever", not transparent and equivocal statements clearly with the only purpose to make the audience believe that an '"agreement" was made outside the court and that it could not be disclosed due to a confidentiality clause, was intended to stop the lawsuit. Which is absolutely false!
Finally in 2001, ended also the criminal prosecution in Rome with the overturn of the 1999 judgment and the final acquittal of MJ for the accusation of a plagiarism crime. A strange story in which, probably, Albano tried, since there was a real similarity between the two songs, to get a bit of free advertising in the world.
The Italian fans not only did not believe this story but sent an informal warning to the singer because of the false and unclear statements. 89
He was also the subject of funny gigs by a wellknown Italian entertainer, Riccardo Rossi, who started the gig telling to the audience: Riccardo Rossi on the absurd result of plagiarism and brought PERSA from Albano against Michael Jackson
songs, decided to steal a song from Albano in order to save $400 LOL ???? Nevertheless this piece of work of an Italian singer had the guts to post on his Facebook page some pictures taken before Michael Jackson’s Memorial in Munich …..very sad .. it is?
"It ‘s something crazy and absurd… you remember very well this strange thing that one day Albano thought MJ had copied one of his songs ...a crazy thing..so it came out in the news, there was a legal issue and everything else. For this reason I would like to remind all of you WHO Michael Jackson IS: MJ is someone that has among his collaborators Paul Mc Cartney who gave to him a song as a gift ... then he has Stevie Wonder who got to play harmonica for him even if for just a few notes. He ‘s got Quincy Jones, the largest producer of black music of all times who produced for him his first three albums one of which, I remind you, is Thriller which is the best-selling album in the history of the world of music, so I wonder ...How Michael Jackson even know that Albano exist ???? He keep on his sketch imagining Quincy Jones, who must be informed of all tendencies in music because of his work, that for some strange reason listens and decides to bring this piece of crap of Albano song to Michael Jackson. When finally the two decide how to arrange the song and everything's organized MJ refuses to pay royalties to Albano and says "I do not care, I want to copy", Quincy Jones screaming at him: "Michael it will cost $400, the rights for this song for God sake ! And MJ "NO I want to copy if not I do not do it". The gig ends with the actor saying: "MJ, the man who bought the rights to all the Beatles 90
'WE ARE THE WORLD' 30TH ANNIVERSARY
h p://www.usatoday.com/story/life/music/2015/01/27/we‐are‐the‐world‐30th‐anniversary/22395455/ 91
'WE ARE THE WORLD' AT 30: 12 tales you might not know The all‐star recording session for We Are the World, the biggest charity single of all me, took place 30 years ago Wednesday.
wri ng sessions by listening to na onal anthems from several countries, including the USA, England, Germany and Russia. "We put all that into a pot in our heads and came up with a rhythm that sounded familiar, like a world anthem. We want‐ ed people to feel like it was a familiar song. Once we got that — show business, man."
On Jan. 28, 1985, at A&M Recording Studios in Hollywood, following the American Music Awards, more than 40 ar sts gathered to record a song Lionel Richie and Michael Jackson had wri en to raise awareness of widespread, life‐threatening poverty in Africa. Most of that show's winners — including Cyndi Lauper, Hall & Oates, Bruce Springsteen, Huey Lewis, Willie Nelson, Tina Turner, the Pointer Sisters, Kenny Rogers and the Jacksons — par cipated.
The We Are the World recording session caused Richie to forget the American Music Awards. Maybe it was just sleep depriva on — a er all, the session began at 9 p.m. and lasted 12 hours — but Richie claims to have no memory of hos ng that night's American Music Awards ceremony and winning five awards, including favorite pop/rock male ar st. "I walked through that door, and I forgot I had done that," he says. "The group of people in that room was so mind‐changing. There's Bob Dylan, Billy Joel — give me a freaking break. I had never in my life experienced anything like that."
Inspired by the U.K. all‐star charity single Do They Know it's Christmas?, released a few months earlier, We Are the World was released March 7, 1985, and went on to sell more than 20 million copies. The more than $75 million raised by non‐profit organiza on USA for Africa helped to fight poverty on the con‐ nent. The song also won three Grammy Awards in 1986, in‐ cluding song and record of the year.
It may have been a massive gathering of celebri es, but few other people knew the session was taking place. Many of the singers arrived in limousines, having just come from the awards show, but not everybody showed up in style. "I think Bruce Springsteen parked his truck in the parking lot of the Rite‐Aid or a grocery store that used to be across the street," Richie says. "He parked over there and walked in. He didn't know you could come through the gate." The logis cs of such a session would be exponen ally more difficult in the era of cellphone cameras and social media. "Today, you couldn't keep that a secret," Richie says. "You'd have to have a full‐on runway, and everybody would have to check their phones."
"A great song lasts for eternity," says Quincy Jones, who pro‐ duced the track. "I guarantee you that if you travel anywhere on the planet today and start humming the first few bars of that tune, people will immediately know that song." Here are 12 things you might not know about the song and the recording session: Stevie Wonder, not Michael Jackson, originally was supposed to be Richie's co‐writer. "I was really trying to get in touch with Stevie and couldn't do it," Richie says. "Stevie was touring a lot. He was doing a lot of stuff." A phone call with Jones got him and Jackson involved. "I got Michael before I could get Stevie," Richie says. "We said, 'If Stevie calls me back, we'll get him in. In the mean me, I think we can get it done with Michael.' "
Most of the singers had never heard the song before walking into the studio. "We did not have MP3s," Richie says. "We had casse es back then. We had to send it to you, so most of them had not heard the song." A er all, Richie and Jackson had just barely finished the song in me for the ini al tracking session held a week previous at Kenny Rogers' studio. Even Rogers hadn't heard it: "We didn't know what we were going to sing un l that night," he says. Hall & Oates' John Oates, who sang in the backing choir, says, "It had the anthemic quality and the simplicity of melody that made pulling off a giant ensemble like that very easy to do. And it was a room full of amazing singers, so that
Richie and Jackson listened to na onal anthems to get in the proper frame of mind to write. "We didn't want a normal‐sounding song," Richie says. "We wanted bombas c, the biggest thing you got." Knowing they needed to create something that immediately sounded im‐ portant and had global appeal, they prepped for their song‐ 92
wasn't exactly a problem."
recalls. "We were all kind of doing it, and we wanted to make sure we didn't insult anybody." Oates, who stood directly be‐ hind Dylan while the chorus was recording, remembers him being anxious about singing his solo. "He's not a melodic guy, and it was a very specific melody," Oates says. "I think he felt uncomfortable singing that par cular melody, and he worked around it in his own way."
The choir roster had its roots in Donna Summer's State of Independence. The choir for Summer's 1982 hit (h ps://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=cPlNrP9B2Zs), which Jones produced, included Jack‐ son, Richie, Wonder, James Ingram, Kenny Loggins and Dionne Warwick, all of whom also appeared on We Are the World. "I was on familiar ground," Jones says. "If I hadn't worked individ‐ ually with over half of these singers before, there was no way I would've signed on."
Kenny Rogers wanted to get everybody's autograph. "Once we sang it all the way through and realized how well‐thought‐out it was, we realized it was something special," Rogers says. "So I took a sheet of music from the session and started ge ng people to sign it. Once I started, Diana Ross started, then everybody was running around trying to get everybody. It's framed on the wall of my house in Atlanta." The participants Oates, who also got an autographed autographed the first page chart, echoes Rogers almost word for of the sheet music for the song 'We Are the World,' word: "I have it framed in my studio written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie. The song in Colorado. When people come in was designed to raise awareness and funds for a and see it, they freak. I made sure I worldwide hunger relief got everybody. I even got Ray program, and its Charles and Stevie Wonder to sign it. international success led the way for the Live Aid For once, I had the presence of mind concerts later that year. to do something like that, and it's (Photo: Hulton Archive, Getty Images) one of my most treasured posses‐ sions." Jones' signed sheet music hangs in his den: "It always makes me smile when I look at it and start reading those names."
As one of the song's writers, Richie got dibs on his solo line. "Quincy said, 'Now, Lionel, where would you like to come in?' " Richie recalls. "I said, 'Are you kidding me? I'm coming in first, so I can get out of the way!' " According to Richie, the session's secret hero was Jones' vocal arranger, Tom Bähler. Before the session, he had listened to the recorded output of each of the soloists, determined their vocal ranges, then iden fied which melodic phrases best suited their registers. "The parts they as‐ signed fit the vocalists really well," Rogers says. "I couldn't have done the stuff that was done at the end that Steve Perry did. They were incredibly well‐laid‐out." When Ray Charles spoke, everybody listened. "Ray Charles, being who he was, commanded a certain defer‐ ence and respect from everyone, even though he didn't assert himself in any weird way," Oates says. "He was just standing in the middle, doing his part. Lionel, Michael and Quincy were running the show. It was their song, their produc on, and eve‐ ryone was very respec ul, trying to make it happen. There were moments when people — and I will not name names because it's not worth it — in the chorus started to put their producers' hats on. They started to say, 'What if we did this?' and 'What if we did that?' Coming up with ideas. It was obvious it was a complicated thing to pull off in general, and having too many cooks in the stew would be a giant catastrophe. Ray, every once in a while, would just pipe up: 'C'mon. Hey. Let's go. Listen to Michael. Let's get this thing done.' He was there to sing, and he sensed that it could go south very quickly. He commanded a lot of respect, and I thought that was very cool."

IN THE LIGHT OF LOVE I regret that I was unable to be present for a special memorial to enlighten the spirit of a dear lady and truly dedicated fan of Michael. Sadly Linda "Dee" Durogene passed away from a sudden unforeseen health condition in mid-December. [8/18/1955 – 12/19/2014] A special memorial was held on January 3rd at a special place which is a dream that came true for Linda. It is a bench dedicated to Michael Jackson, with a plaque of his message, which sits across from exquisitely beautiful cherry trees in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden of NYC. VIRTUAL TOUR OF CHERRY ESPLANADE AND CHERRY WALK Michael would surely appreciate this bench as it is simply a bench among benches. This reminds us that Michael cared so much to be regarded as a fellow human; person among people.

I first met-up with Linda Dee (as she was commonly known) on a CNN blog dedicated to Michael very soon following his passing. As many of you know, there was an explosion of countless people coming together over Michael with much innocence advocacy work to do for his legacy. Many came to know Linda as a very dedicated fan. She was more than a fan to share photos & videos. She went above and beyond for his legacy in the spirit of his love and utmost respect for him. This message to Michael gives us a little insight of her love for Michael and the J5. Michael: I will always be grateful to you and your brothers for helping me deal with one of the most difficult periods of my life. I came to this country from Haiti when I was 10 years old; and I spoke no English and I looked and dressed differently than the rest of the children in school. I was teased and made fun of every single day. It got so bad that I use to go in one door and out the other in the morning to avoid the abuse. The music of the Jackson Five helped me deal with a lot the pain that I was going through at that point in my life. The music made me happy and transported me to another time and place. I always looked forward to the next record from the Jackson Five with the greatest anticipation knowing that it would be great. Later in my life, you brought me a lot of joy Michael even though we never met, your songs were always able to touch something very deep in my soul as it did for millions of fans. I always looked forward to your appearances on television as rare as they were …You will always be the greatest entertainer that the world has ever known and I am really glad that I lived in the world that got to experience your extraordinary talents. You will always be in my heart Michael.
Photo Linda chose as her Facebook banner notice and feel her loving way. It was uplifting to converse with her. Her love was enthusiastic. It was infectious. She posted more than just updates on her Facebook wall. She expressed words of gratitude, praise and well-wishes for others. She was able to reach people and effect people so much because her love was genuine. I know of someone, a dear friend actually, who was able to heal because of Linda. Linda would just not give up on helping my friend. So, my friend didn’t give up. This was Linda. When she set her mind on something, she pursued it. She worked tirelessly to formally propose the bench she envisioned, recruit fans and raise funds to make it a reality. This beautiful bench is testament to her unrelenting passion knowing love matters more than anything. To her dearest friends and family I can only say I am sorry for your loss and yet, what a blessing. A blessing to have had Linda in your lives on this Earth. May her spirit always be an empowering source of love to us. I regret that I didn’t ever meet her in person so we could hug. And may we all learn from Linda, like Michael, to stand up for what we believe, not ever give up on ourselves, others and what we set out to do for others. And I know she’d agree with me as I suggest that we continue to always reach out to one-another in the name of love.
Linda Durogene, NYC ROTD - Love For Michael From His Fans Linda showed up at fund-raisers, tributes, record releases, supported MJ innocence campaigns and persevered to make this bench a reality. For those that have known her even longer you know that she also became a fan of life.
With love and light in Michael's light of love, Elizabeth Olney Special video tribute to LindaDespite blustery weather, devoted friends gathered for her memorial.

PAYING MICHAEL FORWARD Michael Jackson Chosen Voices
WHAT DO YOU NEED AND HOW CAN I HELP?
Michael Jackson ~ Evil triumphs when good men do nothing ~ He’s not afraid to look into the worst suffering and find the smallest part that’s positive and beautiful Several years later, he did. Michael surprised me on a trip to New York City. We drove out to the airport hangar. I witnessed boxes of food and goods and emergency supplies being loaded onto several planes lining the tarmac. I was proud to know that my son followed through on his words. He was sending aid to Africa. His generosity didn’t stop there. Donations to charities and years working with disabled children from all walks of life ensued. Michael would sometimes go outat night and randomly give hundreds of dollars to the homeless people he encountered. He valued money far less than he did his goal of making a difference in people’s lives and inspiring the world to change for the better.
Frank Dileo on Michael Jackson “I tried to teach Michael about the world through documentaries. One day Michael and I watched a film about the less fortunate children in Africa. The state of their lives brought us both to tears. Michael, sympathetic at the age of 14, turned to me and said, ‘One day, Mother, I’m going to do something about this
NEVER CAN SAY GOODBYE
The Katherine Jackson Story
100
Elizabeth Taylor described Michael as having a heart that gave, expecting nothing in return. His generosity spanned the width and breadth of this planet and revealed itself in his catalog of artistry, his inexhaustible humanitarian efforts, and the legacy he left behind, which inspires masses of people over half a decade after his passing…all joining a choir which sings in unison and harmonies…PAYING MICHAEL FORWARD to future generations. “Just when you think you know him, he gives you more.” Elizabeth Taylor Believing that his artistry was given to him with the central purpose of bringing healing to a world desperately in need, Michael chose to spend time with the wounded, suffering, marginalized and voiceless. Understanding that children needed their innocent childhood, he also chose to give his own three children opportunities to reach out to those in need…for, we learn what we live. And, of course, young children represent the purest love there is…giving and unconditional.
This plea for compassion amid the insanity of poverty, violence and prejudice is the central focus of the HEAL THE WORLD FOUNDATION…an organization devoted to improving conditions for children throughout the world. Founded by Michael Jackson, Heal the World seeks to assist children through the provisions and coordination of efforts to address the most basic needs: health care, food, education and more. HEAL THE WORLD began in September 1992, sponsoring a medical relief mission to Romania. The team included a dozen physicians from the U.S. who provided pediatric care to indigent children. Prior to HTW’s involvement, these youngsters had receive little, if any, quality medical attention. A new playground at Bucharest’ orphanage was dedicated by Michael Jackson on September 30, 1992. Now, more than 500 abandoned children are able to play at the facility, reclaimed from wasteland. More recently, HTW and AmeriCare joined together to airlift a winter gift to the children of Sarajevo, that included blankets, medical supplies, clothing and shoes.
Michael’s Heal the World Foundation STOP THE HURTING…START THE HEALING
When day dawn’s, each of us has an opportunity to allow our innocent children a chance to do what comes naturally to them…LOVE. Their love sees no boundaries, no borders, and no color. It is pure and unconditional. They know the way…and, we need to get out of their 101
way by creating spaces for them to thrive.
WHAT DOES THE WORLD NEED AND HOW CAN WE HELP?
A dear friend of mine gave me the most beautiful Christmas gift this year. She told me of a tradition her
daughter-in-law had begun with her two little girls…both toddlers. Mom would pack individual bags of foods and treats whenever the family was taking a trip in the car. As they drove through their town, the girls would see homeless people, sometimes families. Mom would stop the car and the girls would get out and hand the packages to those in need.”
Let us help our children: “…dream of a tomorrow where we can truly love from the soul and know love as the ultimate truth at the heart of all creation.” Michael Jackson The lessons learned from Michael Jackson offer us opportunities to be better human beings. As we learn them, we comprehend the innocent hearts of children…and, in doing that, we rediscover the child hiding in us all. Giving the best of us to our children comes from reinventing the magic, wonder and mystery of our inner child. We are then chosen to offer our children a better world with opportunities to LOVE ONE ANOTHER.
WHEN ALL LIFE IS SEEN AS DIVINE… EVERYONE GROWS WINGS.
With tears of joy, I began to comprehend the layers of love…not only were the little girls allowed to give of their innocent and generous heart, but, there was a communion of spirit in the physical act of handing over the packages…a human bond, fearless…revealing a connection between all human beings. “Prejudice is ignorance.” Michael Jackson And, prejudice and fear are learned behaviors. In their innocence, children are allowed to be free, and, with that freedom, they take flight into respectful adults who harbor no judgments.
Thank you, Michael…for showing us how to love. WHAT DO YOUR CHILDREN NEED…AND, HOW CAN WE HELP THEM? 102

Advocacy/Vindication

More and more the public is calling for the reigning in of intrusive police practices and tabloid news that constantly abuses the right to a free press and infringes on people’s privacy rights. During his lifetime, Michael Jackson endured extraordinary invasions of his privacy as a public figure, as well as slander and defamation of his character, to which he protested vigorously. Nor was it not long after his death on June 25, 2009, that the media started in on his family, especially his underage children. And while there is at least the possibility of legal remedy for the living, heretofore there has been none to protect the rights of the surviving family of the deceased. That is why CADELAW is a bill whose time has come.
to Hard Copy tabloid reporter Diane Dimond from the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services, the ensuing media persecution began its relentless quest for ratings by using rumor and scandal. Already marginalized for his eccentricities, Michael was objectified, dehumanized, and finally demonized as the press cashed in. For example, Barnes cites Los Angeles criminal defense attorney, Tom Mesereau’s comments that tabloid huckster Nancy Grace's coverage of the trial held in 2005 “was sub-moronic . . . [and that] she tried to spin a verdict through a lot of emotional innuendo that was just buffoonery.” Barnes asserts that while trying to prove there was an “actual conspiracy to imprison Jackson” was elusive, the case could be made for Jackson being a convenient scapegoat to deflect heat off the Catholic Church because of the concurrent sexual abuse allegations against clergy of the Archdiocese of Boston. The massive investigation of the Catholic Church went on for several years before Jackson was again falsely accused and his Neverland ranch raided by 70 County Sheriff's and members of Tom Sneddon's District Attorney's Office. All this to control Michael’s rising political influence.
In her 2010 book, Outrageous Invasions: Celebrities’ Private Lives, Media, and the Law, UConn law professor Robin D. Barnes devotes Chapter 10, “John Lennon and Michael Jackson: The Influence of the Superstar,” to discussing how because of the popularity bestowed by the media and fans on John Lennon and Michael Jackson, the two men became targets of deliberate attempts by governments to neutralize their cultural and political impact. Lennon's youngest son, Sean, told the New Yorker magazine in 1998 that his father was considered a threat because of his influence: “If he had ever said bomb the White House tomorrow, there would've been 10,000 people who would have done it. Pacifists revolutionaries are historically killed by the government.” Barnes reports that "government impotency in relation to the potentially unbounded influence of the superstar," means clandestine methods and tactics are to shape the "tone and tenor of public discourse.”
From 1994 until he died, Michael endured relentless persecution from the media. Barnes asserts that while the U.S. Constitution grants free speech and freedom of the press, the Supreme Court fails to enforce the laws that require prerequisites to the proper exercise of those freedoms and the protection of constitutional rights. She notes that the media defends slander and defamation by asserting that the statements they make are true for the most part. False statements also get a pass as simply being reported or quoted, most often from anonymous, so-called inside sources.
The case of Lennon, according to Barnes, leads to understanding how an “equally powerful superstar,” Michael Jackson was also considered a monumental threat to disrupting the status quo. Michael's 1998, “Man in the Mirror” (written by Siedah Garrett with Glen Ballard), along with the revolutionary social and political message in the lyrics and in the images used in the short film that went along with it “put the world on notice,” according to Barnes.
Still, Michael is gone now and supposedly what the media writes or broadcasts can no longer hurt him. Obviously not, but it can and does hurt his young children, as well as other family members who share his name. For that reason, our representatives should be introduced to CADELAW and asked to vote to pass it to protect the rights of the family of the deceased.
But in the summer of 1994, when a confidential report of accusations of child molestation was leaked 104

We are asking for a bill that would make it unlawful to defame a person who is deceased. Slander and libel are not protected under the First Amendment while a person is living. The same protection should be extended to a person after they are deceased. The loved ones of someone who has passed on should not have to live with the continued defamatory stories and false accusations that can so easily be paraded as fact.

WATCHMAN ON THE WALL What Have You Sacrificed for Michael Jackson?
107
Jackson’s death. From large sums of money to their very lives, many have laid priceless things at Michael’s feet, only to find that those feet were made of clay.
The last time I attended a concert, the artist took the stage, performed and when it was over, the audience clapped as the artist left the stage. The Master of Ceremonies then came back to the stage and said, “Give it up for (insert name here)!” At which point, the audience is expected to clap again. And we do. Even though we’ve already acknowledged the artistry, we were made to feel discourteous if we did not go above and beyond.
The sword of sacrifice cuts both ways. After all, Michael sacrificed much more for his fans, so was the trade-off of a few dollars really that different? Yes. Michael Jackson knew that, by assuming the title of King of Pop, he was signing over all rights to his privacy and, to a certain extent, his humanity. Being Michael Jackson was a full time job and he embraced it fully. If anyone in his life didn’t approve of that, he could cut them off without a second look back. We fans don’t have the luxury.
My first realization when allowed access to the inner sanctum of the fan hive was that the “casual” Michael Jackson fan is a rare animal. Theirs is a fan-eat-fan world and you’d better be ready to prove your loyalty at the drop of a sequined gauntlet. How many times have you seen him in concert? Sixteen, you say? Okay, well were they all stateside or did you travel to Budapest?
Personally, I’ve never been to a concert, but I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on Michael Jackson’s music and merchandise. I’m also proud to say that these days, I’m no longer sacrificing. I haven’t purchased one note of the posthumous music and, although it hurt when he died, my days no longer feel like a cycle of perpetual mourning.
Michael Jackson wasn’t divinity, but the worship by some of his fans echo an Old Testamenttype cycle of penance and sacrifice. Back in the day, people brought things like crops or animals to the altar as a sacrifice to their gods. As for the modern-day Michael Jackson super fan, I’ve heard of folks taking out a second mortgage on a home to afford to travel to see concerts. Some gave their time to stand vigil outside a California courtroom. Some offered up their own children. Without debating innocence or guilt, answer this question: would YOU let your child have a sleepover with a single, 40something year old man?
If you’re still dragging your sacrifices to the altar, stop it. Michael Jackson isn’t God and he didn’t ask for your money, your job, or your family. Stop sacrificing your life to the dead. And next time when that little Master of Ceremonies in your head urges you to “give up” just a little bit more for the Greatest Entertainer that Ever Lived, hopefully the fan community can muster the collective courage to sit quietly in the knowledge that we’ve given enough already.
Far more serious than monetary outlay, some have even given their freedom. In 2012, a group of fans in St. Petersburg, Russia were arrested for staging a Michael Jackson memorial rally.
~ The Watchman ~
As if forfeiting freedom weren’t enough, according to MJJCommunity.com, in 2009 up to 12 fans committed suicide in the wake of Michael 108
