The purpose of this magazine is to provide you with specialized information from a unique community; dedicated to and built upon the Love and Light of Michael Jackson. We bring you this material by way of the countless groups and projects created because of Michael Jackson. This magazine will be dedicated to those projects with undertakings that build up the community; and actually possess the healing and light properties needed to help change a world filled with darkness and a community that has become infested with it. We wish to provide the Community Trunk, the new body of Michael Jackson, with information about new and delightful support projects. There has been too much “Junk” attached to his trunk and it is time we start anew by peeling away the old and rotted garbage from his amazing trunk, his community. We hope you will be a part of the solution and not the rubbish. There should be no room for old junk in a new trunk. Michael is a new creature in Christ Jesus. All the old has passed away and behold, all things have become new. We wish to be an avenue to the beautiful things going forward; and share those things in this magazine once a month. We want to appeal to the rooted fans as well as the innovative. Don’t put JUNK in your new TRUNK. It devalues your new found treasure.

NOTES FROM THE EDITOR Continuing Our Quest to
should be no competition in a community that represents Michael Jackson. It looks and smells bad. Old wine will not last in a new wine skin. This magazine is not about Michael Jackson but because of him. It is to recognize his fans who are making a beautiful difference in this world; and especially those who are giving back to it. Those fans whose love can be felt without having to see them; but through their art, videos, blogs, vindication/advocacy efforts, humanitarian efforts, music, etc. we can smell the sweet odor of love.
“Remove the Junk from the Community Trunk” Well, we were not let down with the expected negative feedback. The first issue of the magazine had not been published twenty-four hours before we were accused of stealing a tag line from a magazine called “Iconic Magazine”. A gentleman we do not know has taken the task of posting in French fan groups that we stole his tag line “In a Word Filled With HATE - We Can Still DARE to LOVE”. Actually, the tag line was taken from a quote by Michael Jackson. Therefore, we added the word “Still” and “Love” and it belongs to God who loaned it out to me for a greater purpose.
The "trunk" is the main stem of a tree, as distinct from the branches and roots. In the case of the Michael Jackson Fan Community, Michael is the main stem or the trunk of that tree. The branches, which are the fans, rely upon the source from the main stem. If we are relying upon Michael everything we do will come from a place of love and not hate, because Michael is the supplier of what we need to function properly in the community.
“In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe.”― Michael Jackson Quote
Again, our goal for this magazine is to bring the community together in a state of love and respect. This magazine is being birth to connect with those who still believe in Michael Jackson’s message of LOVE; and hopefully to bring those back who were ran off because of the “Junk”. Does this tag line sound better? In fact, I think this tag line is much closer to the truth.
The accusation and actual post: King OfShop Again Shame the tag line was stolen fro Michael Jackson 'Iconic Magazine' released since 2010! King of Shop - give us positive feedback and you will have done a great thing. Other than that continue to hone the talent(s) you were given to share and make that your life’s work. We must not waste time that does not belong to us on trivial matters. After all we can not take a tag line with us when we die. In the end it will be of no importance. Michael Jackson left a wellspring of information here for all of us to use and enjoy. Enjoy it without having to force others to compete for it.
~In A World Filled With Hate - Hate Seems To Be Reigning Victoriously~ MJ Brookins Though the above tag line has an air of unrest it is true, but I thank my Lord and Savior that love still covers a multitude of sins and we will change it for the sake of “Peace”. We shall overlook the negative comments from our fellow MJ Fanmily member and continue to love them. After all we are all the same and capable of making the same mistakes.

The Michael Jackson community is filled with a well-spring of talent. However, it should not be a talent show but a place where we can share out gifts of love. It is evident that it will take some time for many to remove the “Old Junk” from the “Community Trunk”. There 4
FEATURED FAN ART and events before the world... but seeing him in this light was something I had never experienced. Not only did I get to peek into the mind of a genius-level artist at work, but even more incredible, I was given the opportunity to witness a human being with a quality of character like no one I could have ever imagined. The beauty of his soul was palpable, and it literally changed me from the inside out.
Siren’s Quest to Rediscover Michael Jackson
I
n that moment, I began a quest to discover all that I had missed. I spent countless hours researching Michael’s life in an effort to understand him better... I wanted to know everything. And while what I was learning about him was far beyond anything I had expected, even more surprising was what I was learning about myself. Finding out about the kind of person Michael was.. his generosity, selflessness, strength, dedication, and capacity for Love made me examine myself from a whole new perspective. I couldn’t help it. To see a life lived in a way that denied not even a seed of its potential... the refusal (or complete inability) of someone to be anything less than the absolute entirety of who they are... no matter the consequence... well, how could I recover from that? I just knew there was no way of ever going back.
O
ne of the first things I learned from Michael was the importance of artistic expression... the realization that creativity is the voice of the soul, and imperative to our spiritual survival. I started to revisit my own. I remembered as a child the very moment I became aware of my gift for drawing. I would spend hours bringing things to life before my eyes... it was like magic to me. My family and teachers encouraged me to pursue my talent further, but as I got older life’s distractions led me elsewhere and my passion for drawing eventually disappeared. It would be nearly twenty years before I would discover it again.
T
o say that I am inspired by Michael Jackson would be an understatement. It’s difficult to find the words to describe what Michael has done for me... how my life has changed and who I have become because of him. How does a single person inspire the hearts of millions without ever having met them? How does the mere existence of someone encourage people to become more? To care about the planet and humanity? To explore themselves spiritually? How does one man’s authenticity offer to free the minds and change the hearts of everyone who takes the time to seek the truth? It seems to defy any kind of logic, except to say that simply, it must be L.O.V.E.
A
bout four months after Michael passed, I felt an urgency to pick up my pencil again. I wanted so much to recreate his lines in hope that it would connect me to him in some kind of tangible way. I had never been a portrait artist... my skills seemed to be limited to sketching animals mostly, especially horses. The attempts I had made at drawing people in the past had not been overly successful, but this time I was determined. Over a period of a couple of weeks, I made three attempts to draw Michael, but no matter my desire and the sheer desperation I had to bring him to life on the paper, the results were very disappointing, and I was broken hearted.
I
have admired Michael through his music almost all my life. Like everyone, I was in shock when I heard the news on June 25, 2009, but it wasn’t until the release of the documentary film, This Is It, that I would be profoundly altered. I had seen all of Michael’s short films, watched live performances on television and video, heard him speak at award shows

I
n the meantime, I remained dedicated to expanding my education about Michael, and in return, he became more and more a part of my everyday life. I found myself considering him in the way I chose to interact with people, and in how I viewed my responsibility toward the planet and humanity. I wanted to do more... to BE more. Knowing Michael made me want to participate in a world beyond myself. I just could not imagine a more beautiful example of the human spirit, and the more I learned about him, the deeper in Love with him I fell.
ity. By simply living his life, Michael has taught me that I can accomplish anything I set my mind to, and that there is Divine Perfection at the heart of all things... even tragedy. I am profoundly grateful for all that I continue to learn from Michael, and for the amazing people that have come into my life through him. Having the opportunity to witness others Loving him, and the impact he continues to have on the lives of so many has been a joy like no other. I know with all certainty, that beyond even the enormity of Michael’s personal achievements and level of artistry with which he chose to secure his legacy... what he leaves behind inside my heart and the hearts of the millions who Love him is where the full force of his accomplishment will endure, and where its relevance will finally be realized.
F
inally, almost two years after my first attempt, the seemingly hopeless urge to pick up my pencil came over me once more. I just could not deny the physical need I had to connect with Michael in some way. This time I decided to take a different approach. I remembered something Michael had said about “getting out of the way of the music”. In other words... don’t think too much, but rather, connect with the energy of what you are creating and let it come through naturally. I wasn’t even sure I knew how to do that, but I wanted to try. I took a deep breath and began to draw.
Thank You, Michael, for all that You are. The world is a better place because of You. Today, Tomorrow, and For All Time.

T
he process of experiencing Michael energetically became such a Bliss that I found myself not caring whether it looked like him or not... and yet, by some seemingly miraculous occurrence, it did. I started sketching pictures of him almost daily until I could virtually close my eyes and create him solely from the impression he left on my heart. After about a year, I was ready to explore new avenues, and I began to expand into watercolor and open acrylics. Suddenly a whole new world opened itself to me. I felt like I had been set free. Still Michael inspires me to push the boundaries of my expression as I grow as an artist. Currently my work is undergoing yet another shift that will allow me to illustrate deeper and more significant spiritual aspects of my relationship with him. Everyday has become an adventure as I wait with anticipation to see where he will lead me next.

This is a fantastic book. The author presents a totally different view of Michael. She presents Michael the man. Most books out there concerning Michael are written about the icon. It is a wonderful view of a wonderful person. I think every Michael Jackson fan should read this book & I thank the author for writing it! Review Published on September 11, 2011 by Mary Singer Amazon

An Angel Among Us: We called Him Michael Jackson... a spiritual journey by Elizabeth Michelle Billeaudeaux I wrote this book to show my love, honor, and respect for Michael. I believe we are all ethereal creatures in material bodies, biologically electrical in nature. Michael used the term "divine union" and I love it. I use many sources such as: the Bible, Egyptian lore, Biblical and Traditional Numerology, Astrology, evolution of spirit in our society, writings on Archangel Michael, and Michael's life, to outline and prove His true divine nature. Michael was open, unique, curious, fearless, and loving, as children are. He wore His heart on His sleeve, as children do. He was just as easily hurt and mistreated as children can be. He had the ancient soul of an angel with the heart of a child. In order to live a spiritually enlightened, fully enriched life, a person must find meaning, love, and peace. I have always had these in my life because I have always had Michael in my life. What I outline in this book are no coincidences. They all form a pattern; a beat; a rhythm. That rhythm is the music of the spheres, of Heaven, of the universe. Michael knew this and He tried to bring everyone together to sway as one..... one family under love. With His songs and dances He captured the world's attention. We let Him into our hearts where He planted the seeds of love. We watched Him channel the white, hot, energy of God's love. This incredible energy is what we were all driven to love and admire. Michael was God's chosen messenger for our modern times and He wanted us to understand we were all sisters and brothers, all children of God. His strong, shining, spirit will live forever within the heart of each of us. He said, "We were never separate, you and I." If you
read this book with an open heart and open mind, not presuming to know God's will, I am sure you will feel immense love and brilliant surprise! It's all for love....... L~O~V~E

This is a Amazon review from: An Angel Among Us: We called Him Michael Jackson... a spiritual journey (Paperback) First let me say that I think it took courage to write this book. I have never really called myself a fan of Michael Jackson's music, although I did enjoy a few of his songs. However, after reading the book, I sought out more of his music and found so very many beautiful songs. I also bought a copy of Michael's book, "Dancing The Dream," that was mentioned in this book, and see what awesome insight he had about Life, God, Love, Family, Friendship... I now appreciate and understand how amazing a humanitarian he was...what a huge heart he had! I too believe that there are no coincidences, only signs from God...and the things highlighted in this book are certainly not coincidences. Michael Jackson was obviously a special messenger from God. He was a gentle and loving soul. Thank-you goes to Elizabeth for helping us make these connections through her book. Whether you are a fan or not, everyone should read this book. am writing this letter as a thank you for all you have given me, for all you have given the world. I have been inspired at a level I have never before experienced. I say, without reservation, I am a better person because of you. I am a happier person because of you. I am actively involved in social justice because of you. I am a writer because of you. My creative spirit is thriving because of you. I have wonderful new and amazingly talented friends because of you. I am a voice for change because of you. I play more because of you. Because of you, I begin my day in love and, at the end of the day, feel intense gratitude.
DEAR MICHAEL
F
rom the moment I first heard your voice, I was captivated by your talent. From the moment I watched you move, I couldn’t take my eyes off you. As the camera came in for a close up of your face, I was lost in your eyes and seduced by your smile. You captured my heart. It was the 80′s decade. I would come home from a day at school and quickly turn on MTV, hoping to see you as your short films were premiered and repeated. Singing at the top of my lungs, dancing with every beat, and having so much fun, you gave me the lift I needed in my day. Somehow, I lost track of MTV, and music in general, in the 90′s. Life got complicated and challenging, taking up all my energies. Fast forward to June 25, 2009. Your untimely and unjust death hurled me back into your world. Around the globe, hundreds of millions of people wept along with your three beautiful children and your family.
M
ichael, you are needed here now more than ever. With all the love I have in my heart, to the depths of my soul, I am committed to PAYING YOU FORWARD…that is because your message, your unconditional love, is necessary for a world suffering without it.
A
t first, we all just chose not to believe it could be true. After that, we sat glued to our television sets, trying to see everything we could that kept us in touch with you. When the Memorial Service was completed and Dear Paris spoke of her Daddy, I searched for anything I could find on television that would keep me connected. That was when I realized what the media had become. I was sickened and angry at their side-show. Knowing I needed more of you, I turned to the internet for help. I soon realized the avalanche of written and visual material available. I dove in. Truly, I must say, it has been the time of my life. My emotions have gone from euphoria, to despair and indignation on your behalf, and finally, to unconditional love. I have studied and listened and danced and sang and shared…and, ultimately, found my OWN voice.
T
hank you for being my teacher, my role model, my joy, my inspiration, my passion, my fun, and, for the MAGIC. I love you with all my heart.
W
hen I close my eyes, I can see you dancing with the moon, singing with the angels, creating beyond even your wildest imaginings, and giggling in God’s grace. You have earned your freedom ten times over living in a place of complete understanding and love. But, every now and then, take a moment to shine your light back here on earth, for there is no one to take your place. You have my love and heart, http://michaeljacksonchosenvoices.com/

Many years ago, it was his personality, music and amazing talent that caught my attention and first gave me inklings into my desire to make a career out of talking with people in the entertainment industry and telling their stories. I had always wished to one day, be able to talk with and interview Michael. MJ FAN TRIBUTE Reflections on the Dance— Continued
T
I
he name for this website was chosen because the "dance" stands for so many things, especially when it comes to Michael Jackson. First, he was an amazing dancer. One of the most amazing we have seen in our lifetime. Even Fred Astaire himself concurred. Michael also explains in "Dancing the Dream" his feeling that "the world we live in is the dance of the creator and that dancers come and go in the twinkling of an eye, but the dance lives on." We see a reflection of ourselves in a mirror, which reminds us of Michael's "Man in the Mirror." Michael was a reflection of all of us and we all need to look in the mirror to make this world a better place.
approached the project with a desire for truth, with a hunger for wanting to know more about this man who seemed to be painted by the media as sub-human and strange. I knew in my heart that there was something amiss about who the media said Michael Jackson was, and, who he really was. As I went about the research, I was amazed to find out just how much different he was than what we have been spoon fed by sensationalism for so many years. So different in fact, that if all you've known about Michael Jackson is what you've read and heard in the media, then you are going to have your socks blown off!
I
really wanted to bring to light as much as possible, who he was a person, to recognize all of the good he did with his life and in this world. To help others really search out the truth about him and in doing so, learn to search out the truth in all things. I believe that by arming yourself with knowledge and truth, that the dark places are lit up and things become clearer. Knowledge and truth overcome rumors, speculation and lies.
T
his site was born out of a desire, first and foremost, to honor Michael's memory. This is a celebration of Michael, of his life, of the love he left, the example he set. It's a celebration of who he was and is, his accomplishments, and his humanity. This site is a look at the often-times overwhelming, challenging and beautiful, and sometimes painful journey that was the life of Michael Jackson.
The truth needs to be told! Who was Michael, really?
N
o doubt, Michael Jackson's music and dance has been a major part of many of our lives, a virtual soundtrack going back to the Jackson 5 songs when those in my generation were young kids, all the way up to his more current music. His music has been a part of our entire lives. You hear his music playing, you see his dance moves, and there is something so familiar about it all. His music and talent, touched a generation, and, touched the whole world. But there was more to this story. Beyond the music, beyond the dance, beyond the talent and beyond the tabloid headlines, there was a man, a human being, who hungered to be known and who many of us never really got a closer look at. That is what this site is all about.

He wanted to give the children in the City of Chicago and across the globe a place where they can come and express themselves through dance. This show was especially important to Chicago due to underprivileged areas coming off the back lash of slained black panther Fred Hampton Sr. on the west side of Chicago. To simply put it Soul Train got those kids off the street and into a TV studio dancing. George Ellis Johnson, an African-American entrepreneur and the founder of Johnson Products Company, an international cosmetics empire headquartered in Chicago, Illinois was Soul Train’s first sponsor. Don was the first African- American male to own a dance television program which has been syndicated around the world in many countries and various markets. CHILDREN PROJECTS
M
ichael’s Dream Foundation is a grass-roots initiative started by people from all over the world who want to make a real difference in the lives of children by helping them to recover from illness and injury in as short a time as possible. Poor emotional health can weaken a body’s immune system, which not only increases the chance of becoming ill, but can also lengthen an existing period of illness. This is true for adults and children alike, but can be more extreme in children because of their naturally fragile emotional state
T
he Michaels' Children's Hospital Project was founded in 2011 with Michael's Dream Foundation coming into being in 2012 with the primary purpose of raising the capital and support required to build a new children's hospital from the ground up. This is still our ultimate goal but we felt that while we are building a solid foundation and gaining the knowledge we will need to make this Dream come true, we could also be helping children in other ways. That is when the Dream Box Program was born.

During our trips to these cities, we were able to deliver a total of 75 boxes full of toys, games, books and more, all because of the incredible love and support of many people. he Dream is to carry on the legacy of one of the greatest humanitarians the world has ever known, and we intend on doing that by helping "a million children" - just as he intended.

Riding in AIDS/LifeCycle with Team Goodisness
F
rom June 1-7, 2014, I'm bicycling in AIDS/LifeCycle. It's a 7-day, 545mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS.
H H
elp me support AIDS/LifeCycle by giving what you can. We'll keep riding until AIDS and HIV are a thing of the past.
ello, my name is Dana Brenklin and as I have not been affected by AIDS directly, I have been blessed to come out on top of some horrible medical trials and tribulations and felt this was a wonderful way to thank God for giving me life and good health.
I
am a singer/songwriter, radio host, poet, actress and a survivor of many struggles. In 1997 I almost lost my right leg in a car accident and this was not the beginning of medical struggles, as I had already been hospitalized three times as a child. So, I underwent a skin graph surgery after the accident, as there was a gaping whole in the front of my right leg. The bone had broken and come out on impact. This was also the same day and time as Princess Diana's deadly crash. I was saved and the princess died. Who knows why. I lay hospitalized for a month. I endured 4 surgeries in all, the last one lasting 9 hours. Part of my stomach muscle was placed in my leg and a patch of skin from my thigh was placed on my leg. I used crutches for a month, I had a medal rod with pins for 4 months and I walked with a limp for over 2 years.
W
hile suffering with this I also suffered from fibroids. Although I didn't realize how much I was really missing for years, I was never very physical and I always wanted to be. I craved running, cycling and more. It wasn't until I was 32 years old when my mother spoke to the board of directors at USC Medical Center about my constant monthly illness and loss of weight that the doctors found 9 fibroids and removed them without removing anything vital and for the first time at about 33 years old, I went running on the beach and actually cried. Yes running. My right leg is fine and I am fibroid free. I am migraine free also, my mother is breast cancer free for 20 years this May. So, although we have not been affected directly by AIDS/HIV, we have been affected by a lot of health issues and are free of them and want the same for other families. I want others to be able to look up one day just as I did and be able to run, jump and play with tears of joy streaming down their faces because this disease isn't a death sentence anymore, but something you can live and thrive with everyday. That is why I am riding. 25

Carissimo Michael,
earest Michael,
Today we started the 5th year without you and we want to renew our promise with even greater determination: WE WON'T GIVE UP and we will live every day to give you back the Truth
Nella tua Arte straordinaria e nel tuo cuore immenso troviamo la forza di sopravvivere al dolore per la tua assenza e di NON dimenticare.
about your life full of Love and compassion, but also of anger and grief for all the INJUSTICE you had to endure. In your amazing Art and in your huge heart we find the strength to survive the pain of losing you and NOT to forget.
Tu ci hai insegnato a combattere senza odio ed è questa lotta che continueremo a servire, seguendo il tuo esempio di Guerriero e prestando ascolto ai tuoi figli più che a chiunque altro.
You taught us to fight without hatred and it's this struggle that we will continue to support following your example as a Warrior and listening to your children more than anyone else.
Il 2014 inizia con una nuova sfida: rimediare all'immane torto che una giuria superficiale e pregiudizievole ti ha fatto sollevando da ogni responsabilità chi ha contribuito alla tua morte.
2014 begins with a new challenge: to remedy the great injustice that a shallow and prejudicial jury did to you relieving those who contributed to your death of any responsibility.
We are there Michael, from all around the world, once again stepping forward united without hesitation to support your mother and your children in their search for TRUTH and JUSTICE, we who remember your urging not only to pray for a better world, but also to take action to make it happen.
E ci saremo sempre, con lealtà e dedizione, quelle che tu ci hai mostrato fino alla fine e che noi ci impegniamo a ridarti indietro, affinché il tuo spirito viva per sempre, più forte di tutti quelli che ti hanno tradito.
And we will always be there with loyalty and dedication that you showed us till the end and that we'll do our best to give you back so that your spirit lives forever stronger than all those who have betrayed you. With endless love, beyond any limit.
Con amore infinito, oltre ogni limite.

H
ow it all began...
with me throughout my entire life, even if only from the radio, because I did not have a single CD of Michael until then. Do you know that feeling? You know so many of his songs, you’ve seen him on TV so often, but you don’t actually know the person. Who was Michael? What moved him? What made him laugh and what made him cry? Why has he been treated so unfairly by the media and why did all of this happen? Primarily HOW could something like this happen? All those questions bothered me day and night, I didn’t get them out of my head. Michael did not get out of my head and so I started to read. I bought oodles of books, watched hundreds of YouTube videos, browsed the fan bulletin boards, in order only to get to know him better.
Because I brought the petition for the preservation of the memorial into being on December 30th in 2009 and because since then, I’ve been in close touch with some of the monument-fairies in Munich, I have been asked if I was willing to write something about the genesis and history of the memorial. I want to thank Martina Kainz (1st book: “Wings for an angel”/ 2nd book: “King of Hope”) for her trust and I’d like to tell you the story of the monument and also my personal Michael-story, so you can get to know me a little better and so that you will understand what encouraged me to advocate this memorial in Munich.
I
t all started with a poster and candles on the evening of June 25th 2009. That’s what I know from the reports of the monument-fairies and from forums, because I am not from Munich and got to know about the memorial there several months later.
Th
e more I was learning about Michael, the more I fell in love with this wonderful, warm-hearted person, who was over all yearning for an upright and honest love in his life and for a childhood, that he was never given to live. However, along with this love also came an endless sorrow, disappointment and a frantic anger. Disappointment because they did not want to listen to Michael’s message and that a person was put away because of the money. I am angry because of a society formed by egoism, cynicism, cold-heartedness, greed for money and the striving for might, so much that it is on its best way to loose its humanity. Is this the society our children are supposed to be raised in? All of this made me become deeply desperate.
I
will never forget June 25th 2009. This day will for all time be burnt into my memory. The news about Michael’s passing came from the radio and was so surreal to me. I turned the tv on immediately, in order to investigate what the absurd news were really about. What happened to me next has changed my life in large part forever. It’s been the day when the world stopped turning for me. It’s been like someone pulled the rug out from under my feet. There was only one thought inside of my head: “This cannot be true. This person is not dying, Michael Jackson is not dying, he’s still there always…” I never thought this incident could knock me off my socks.
M
ichael was always there, he’s been a part of my youth, I grew up with him. His music went along 28

I
’d have never believed that you can so endlessly grieve for a person you never really got to know, you have never really been face to face with. Why have I been grieving so, what has it been? Was it the bad conscience that I have not been there fort his person earlier? Anyway, it threw me off my course. But it also made me reconsider my life completely. Because of Michael my anger transformed into confidence and hope. He taught me so many things. Meanwhile I’m fine again. We have adopted the sponsorship of a little boy in Mali, because we wanted to do something to make this world a little bit better. Heal the world – Make that change! Start with the person in the mirror. It can be so simple if you’re just willing and have an open heart.
Mi
chael taught me “Only when you love yourself, you can give love in return.” He taught me to love myself, to fight for my goals and for my fortune. In the meantime, I’ve got a new job in which I feel at ease with. All the love that I get from Michael, I pass on to my family, to my husband and my son and receive infinitely in return. I’m full of thanks forever. I don’t think that I could have made it without him, without his energy. All my life, I’ve been searching for my “angel”, in Michael I’ve finally found him. He managed to turn down the walls I built up all those years around myself. “Michael had got the key to my heart and therefore I’m going to love him forever.”
I
n an effort not to be alone and to understand my mourning, to cope with it I went out to seek for people, who felt the
same and ended up in a Michael Jackson bulletin board. There I felt understood, what you cannot affirm about a lot of my fellow men. Inside of the forum you were not being laughed at for your tears or declared crazy. There, you could let your feelings flow free, which has been healing for me. I suppose, many of you’ve made similar experiences and can relate to it.
I
t was in August 2009, when I came across the memorialthread for the first time. I was blown away. There was a monument in Munich and this place is so beautiful and so full of love for Michael. How much comfort it brought to me in all these months, even if only on a virtual level. It was a hideaway that helped me to cope with my mourning. There was so much love at this place. Little by little the wish inside of be became stronger, to have a part of myself there, as a proof of my love for him. So I wrote to one of the “memorial-fairies” via the bulletin board. Her name was “Apfelfee”. She’s been very kind and told me, that she would really like to receive on behalf of Michael. But, there were already so many fans sending her things that she asked me to turn to Gabi. She was one of the fairies, too. Promptly I wrote to her, whereon she replied kindly. So on the next day my fondly packed parcel was on its way to Munich. I was blown away by so much commitment and love. Who does such a thing still in these days, out of pure love and without getting a cent for it? This must be real angels.
D
aily, I checked on the memorial thread. I watched 29
this place grow more and more beautiful each day, and my entire heart was there. My regards appertained to the fairies (we baptized them so), who cleaned up there every day, lit the candles, disposed the flowers and brought fresh ones for our angel. In November 2009 it got public on the bulletin board, that a monument preservation would have to be done and the memorial has to be cleared. That we took the monument of Orlando di Lasso and turned it into a Michael Jackson memorial has been tolerated by the monuments administration without protest. In the beginning, posters and candles had often been disposed by the public cleansing service, but thanks to the persistence of the fans and the goodwill of the responsible office the memorial could grow. It’s been endured, which we are very grateful for and which has also been expressed in various e-mails. Now, the big trembling began. What if our beloved memorial place would have to lose ground? Out of this thought an idea was born. We were wishing for our own, permanent monument for Michael in Munich. Preferably of course at the “Promenadenplatz”, where there current memorial is at too. During his stays, Michael ha always lived in the hotel “Bayrischer Hof”. His fans have been cheering at him at the Promenadenplatz. Various videos can be found on YouTube. There, his spirit and magic are still tangible. That is also why the fans have been gathering there during the night of June 25th 2009, in order to honor and remember him.

H
ow to make this idea come true? I posted my idea at the bulletin board and found some combatants immediately. We constructed a homepage at http:// www.michael-jackson-memorialmunich.com/ , and have been setting up a petition in order to collect signatures. We wanted to convince the mayor of Munich, and therefore we needed people to strengthen our backs. The memorial was meant to be sponsored by donations from the fans. Munich would only have to provide the property in order to build it. The monument would then be a gift from the city, so to speak.
I
n order to exchange my ideas with the fairies, I travelled to Munich in November 2009, for the first time. I remember, how nervous I’ve been when I saw the monument from a distance. My heart raced up to my neck. I had fresh flowers for Michael, a lantern and a small angel. I was so overwhelmed by this place. It was even more beautiful than on the pictures and so full of love. All these wonderful letters, flowers, pictures, angels…and all that was because of Michael. It was in November, it was – 20° C cold, but I didn’t feel the cold, I also did not feel time…all I felt was unending LOVE and gratefulness. This feeling can be hardly put into words.
W
hat the fairies achieved there was insane. They can be so proud of themselves for what they have been creating there. This place has only been created through the love of the fans, what makes it so special in my eyes. It’s sheer magic. Especially in the evening, when all those wonderful candles illuminate the memorial. Meanwhile, it pulls me to
Munich almost every 3 months, in order to be able to be close to Michael and the goodbye never passes without tears.
A
moving event was LaToya’s memorial visit in November 2009. She was staying at the hotel “Bayrischer Hof” at that time and visited the city due to the recording of “People 2009”. She was talking to some of the fans, who’ve been at the memorial by chance, and she told them that she did not know about this wonderful place. She was completely overwhelmed and very moved by so much love for her brother. I went to Munich for the 2nd time in March 2010. A fan meeting had been planned via a bulletin board. It was beautiful. You got to know a lot of incredibly kind people, who have all been there for one reason: Michael.
O
ut of some encounters wonderful friendships developed, which I don’t want to miss for anything in this world. You all grew so close to my heart, girls. We laughed and cried together, and Michael has always been right in our circle. Michael connects people; it has always been and will always be that way. He was an angel on earth. I miss him endlessly. The fan meeting was wonderful, I will never forget that day, sadly it passed by too quickly. We let the day fade with the setting and lighting of a beautiful red candles-heart for Michael.
T
hen, one morning in April, when Gabi went to clean up Michael’s memorial place, her heart almost stopped. The planned monument maintenance started. Workers began to scaffold the monuments at 30
the Promenadenplatz. Was everything all over now? Gabi called me right away and was very agitated. We thought about what to do. Wait or ask? We decided to be offensive. Gabi faced the workers, who were scaffolding the close-by monuments. With a pounding heart and weak knees she asked them, if also our “Michael memorial” was to be covered and if yes, when and where. One of the guys replied: “No, no… don’t worry. Due to the administration only the memorials close-by the “Di Lasso” have to be done. This one’s going to be delayed for one year.” Oh my God, we wanted to kiss him. We were so happy. Finally, no more shivering and we could keep our monument for now. When Gabi called me again to tell me the liberating message, I wanted to embrace the entire world, this happy was I. Sadly, there’ve not only been positive events. There were also struggles the girls had to face there from time to time. A persistent taxi driver made it his hobby, to destroy the memorial at regular intervals. He ripped off posters, knocked over pictures and candles. In an effort to end this, 2 fairies held vigils, in which they luckily succeeded. In advance, the girls inquired information at the police office. They told them that they could file charges against him, if the monument gets destroyed. Thanks to our fairies they caught him in the act, received an oral admonishment by an officer and has not been spotted again, since then. Others, bothered by the memorial, fed the doves in order to make them leave their “legacy” behind, in hoping the mayor or administration would put an end to a messy looking place. But, they did not anticipate our diligent fairies.

F
or the first obit, on June 25th 2010, hundreds of fans met at the memorial to remember Michael. I was in Munich on this weekend too. I took the day off, because I would not have been able to work, I would have been to emotional on that day and in my thoughts only with Michael. I was happy to be in Munich. This was the place where I wanted to be on that day. Here, I could feel Mike, here I could be close to him. My heart was filled with love for him. It was a beautiful day, if you can put it this way due to the circumstances of our meeting. Wonderful conversations took place, we cried and we laughed and Michael was always in our hearts. The girls experienced the biggest backlash in September 2010. It was at the Bavarian Oktoberfest. You cannot tell if it’s been vandalism or just drunk people. Anyway, somebody posted a picture on the morning of September 29th and cried for help at the bulletin board. It was a horrible picture of destruction and tears filled my eyes right away. How could people just do something like that? The entire monument lay waste. Not only one of its sides, or two…no, the entire memorial. Posters had been ripped off on all sides; everything has been swept down wilful from the stairs. As if had been stepped on. It’s been a nightmare for everyone. I immediately wanted to get into the car, in order to help the girls with the reconstruction. But 5 hours of driving is much too far. So all I could do was to sit and wait for the relieving call of Gabi. The helplessness made me go almost insane. Then at some point, Gabi finally called and everything was fine again. The girls tried to save what could be
saved. Many of the angels and pictures broke unfortunately. But, we wouldn’t be the fans of Michael Jackson, if we’d given up then. Just one appeal at the bulletin boards – and many of us sent new pictures, posters, lanterns etc. … So, after a short time, the memorial shone resplendent in its old brilliance. As long as the city does not keep us from preserving, our will to do so is unbroken.
B
ecause of the homepage, the petition and the associated Facebook page, the “Memorial in honor of Michael Jackson in Munich/Germany” became known very quickly. For the first obit, a picture of it has even been published in the Washington Post. In many newscasts and TV reports the memorial of Munich has been mentioned and pictures have been shown. There have also been interview request by radio and TVstations. Many have been asking, why I’m doing all of this or why the fairies keep doing it. They tell us that we don’t even get something in return and that we are not even from Munich. Why do I step up for a memorial in Munich? I can tell everybody, we receive so much more therefore. Michael has enriched our lives with so many things. That’s why we want to give back something in return. He has deserved it so much to be honored. It often makes me so sick and sad, when you see the documentaries on TV, where Michael is being displayed as an unworldly, abnormal, eccentric artist. Who’s looking at Michael with their hearts, who has tried to see the person beyond the artist ( what admittedly isn’t always that 31
easy) knows, that Michael is much more normal than many of our fellow men, who surround us daily.
M
unich as a city is dear to my heart, because Michael loved this city and also I associate Michael with Munich. He visited Munich 13 times all together, among them a two-week holiday with his family. It is not important to me to live right next to the memorial, important is only the feeling in our hearts, which we all share for Michael. ♥

e could also set up our own little monument for Michael at our homes, but in my eyes, this monument, this memorial place is a “statement”. A statement that shall finally open people’s eyes, that shall encourage contemplation. It is a statement FOR LOVE… and AGAINST all those lies that Michael had to endure his entire life. There will never again be anyone like him and no one will ever close the gap he left behind. There’s so much love here for him and I hope so much, Michael, wherever you might be at now, that you can feel all of our love and that this love will warm your heart forever. ♥
O
n June 25th 2010, we’ve been handing in an inquiry for the construction of a private memorial on civic property to the mayor of Munich. Until then, we could collect about 1500 signatures. On January 21st 2011 we finally received a reply by the mayor of Munich. Sadly, the news have not been positive. The motion was defeated by the monument administration and by the council of elders of the city.

Let’s hope that the endured memorial for Michael Jackson in Munich can be sustained for a long time. ♥ So that the “light of love” will never vanish. ♥ Only those, who have moved hearts also move the world. ♥ The most beautiful monument that a person can receive, is placed inside of the hearts of the people who loved him. Thank you for everything Michael Joseph Jackson, we will never forget you. ♥

John Gills Commentary: can there any good thing come out of Nazareth?
M
ichael Jackson was a resilient humanitarian and cared about the well-being and happiness of children all over the world. Education was a strong part of his message to youth around the world. Since his death there has been many beautiful tributes in his honor; books written about him; money donated by thousands of fans and given in his name.
The whole country of Galilee was had in contempt with the Jews; but Nazareth was so mean a place, that it seems it was even despised by its neighbours, by the Galilaeans themselves; for Nathanael was a Galilean, that said these words. It was so miserable a place that he could hardly think that any sort of good thing, even any worldly good thing, could come from thence; and it was so wicked, as appears from their murderous designs upon our Lord, that he thought no good man could arise from hence; and still less, any prophet, any person of great note; and still least of all, that that good thing, or person, the Messiah, should spring from it: so that his objection, and prejudice, proceeded not only upon the oracle in ( Micah 5:2 ) , which points out Bethlehem as the birthplace of the Messiah; but upon the wickedness, and meanness, and obscurity of Nazareth.
A
fter almost three years Vanessa Little, CADeflaw Research Director, whispered what many of us were thinking but afraid to speak aloud. Why is Gary, Indiana
being left out? What about the students and what are we doing for them? There are many things required to sustain acceptable education in these schools and we asked ourselves what could we do as a community, made up of thousands, to show the children of Gary they were not forgotten and that they too were loved?
W
e must reinvest in our schools and focus on the future. Only then will we be able to leave behind a positive legacy, one that Michael Jackson struggled so hard to strive toward and one that we can all be proud of. We must be champions for our children all over the world, but we must not ignore the children right here in our backyard.

H
ow cautiously should we guard against popular prejudices? Our integrity should always prevail over foolish bias, and lead us to a place of discovery for ourselves, which an honest inquirer will always be glad to admit, even when it brings the most unexpected discoveries. In our research we discovered that many Michael Jackson fans refused to support anything connected to Gary, Indiana because they assumed that Michael didn’t support the people of Gary, Indiana. Many have supposed that he never gave anything back to Gary. How can we be so sure of that and should we assume that he would not want us to support the children or the community of Gary, Indiana? To take this viewpoint we would also have to assume that he never cared about children at all; and I think we would be absolutely wrong to believe that. Where there was love Michael Jackson was also there.
W
e’ve read comments from fans in the Michael Jackson community and also heard some say “there’s nothing in Gary”. It made me think of the Nazarene, Jesus, who came from Nazareth. The scripture reads: Can anything good come out of Nazareth? John 1:45-46…. Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see. 33

ecause Vanessa was brave enough to confront the issue we decided to extend our support to the children in Gary, Indiana. We sent letters to the principals of six schools but received a response from only one. We have been blessed in being able to support what we call the “Butterfly Project”, Frankie Woods McCullough Girls’ Academy, since March of 2012. They have also relocated to a newly renovated building for the school term 2011 – 2012. The students have maintained excellent academic goals throughout the years and can you imagine how excited they were to become recipients’ of donations from the Michael Jackson Fan Community; to assist them in the purchase of new laptops, projectors and an interactive white board. We have been able to send them three large monetary donations since the inception of this humanitarian project.

ichael's Soldiers of Love was founded August 2013. Since I was 11 years old, I have been proactive and causing awareness in my hometown. I started my humanitarian contributions first by going door to door and collecting donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. At twelve years of age, I would assist my oldest sister in taking care of her mentally disabled son, Mario. I've been an active member of my hometown Catholic Church and offered my help whenever possible. I believe these experiences became the basis of my interest in continuing to pay it forward. In June 2013, my dream to visit Michael's Neverland home became a reality. It was one of the best days of my life.

Many positive experiences have come out of our group. We are known as a humanitarian group. We dedicate our daily lives causing awareness on how we can make the world a better place. We share ideas and personal contributions. Many of us are involved in feeding the homeless. Whether it's hitting the streets or donating our time to soup kitchens.

This Month’s issue dedicated to Shirley Temple Black
"I used to think that I was unique in feeling that I was without a childhood. I believed that indeed there were only a handful with whom I could share those feelings. When I recently met with Shirley Temple Black, the great child star of the 1930s and 40s, we said nothing to each other at first, we simply cried together, for she could share a pain with me that only others like my close friends Elizabeth Taylor and Macaulay Culkin know. I do not tell you this to gain your sympathy but to impress upon you my first important point : it is not just Hollywood child stars that have suffered from a non-existent childhood. Today, it's a universal calamity, a global catastrophe." - Michael Jackson

AdLLaw Initiative What’s So Special About The AdLLaw Initiative and Petition?
A
dLLaw is the Anti-Defamation Legacy Law Initiative for the United States of America. The proposed initiative was conceived early 2010 after a group of people grew tired of witnessing the day to day defamation of Michael Jackson beginning the night of his death. The group began to see it was not only famous decedents who were being defamed and their legacies damaged. Originally it was known as CadeFlaw and was meant just for the State of California. In the summer of 2013 the California Initiative was expanded to include all of the USA. The proposed law was drafted by the California Judicial Counsel, but it is written so it could fit in with each State’s slander laws for the living.
T
he Initiative is meant for the family, successors or estate administrators of defamed decedents, whether they are known the world over or their world is their home town. The wording of the Initiative is tailored so it offers family, successors or estate administrators of defamed decedents the same opportunities to bring about a defamation civil suit as if the defamed was available to do so themselves.
L
ike any law AdLLaw must fit in without violating existing laws. This is why the current draft is so important, because the lawyers understood the greatest challenge in presenting an anti-defamation initiative to a State Senate was protecting the 1st Amendment.
T
he intent of this proposed law is to be a deterrent to defamation of the deceased and when necessary a tool used for the worst of offenders. There are people who drive recklessly without regard to the safety of others. If there was a law which said they would go to prison if their driving causes an accident which harms someone a mile away that will be enough for some to stop. This makes the law a deterrent. Then there are those who must be held responsible for their actions when they knowingly cause harm and will not stop. Although, there is generally no criminal charges associated with slander, for many the financial penalties can be what it takes for them to stop or recant their defamation. This is when the law can be a tool.
39
AdLaw Initiative
A
s stated earlier, AdLLaw will not fix or stop every piece of slander or libel done to the deceased as more than it does for the living, but something is better than nothing. Giving people a chance to use this as a deterrent is better than depending upon the ethics and moral conscious of slanderers. It is better than hoping people who do not have a vested interest in the personal legacy of the decedent will take care of the problem.
T
his is not the first time there was an attempt to get an anti-defamation for the deceased law passed. In 1987 an Initiative made it up to the New York State Senate. Due to lobbying by media agencies such as People magazine it was allowed to sit around and finally die. This Initiative will face lobbying groups by the Media. It is up to us to insure it neither dies nor is it ignored.
I
f you have not already signed the AdLLaw Global Petition please do so, but only once. If you previously signed the CadeFlaw Petition please sign the below Global Petition. It can only be counted if you use your real information. After signing the Petition US persons please send a letter or email to the two Senators who represent your State in Washington DC and send an email or letter to the President. Tell them you support this Imitative and would like for them to do the same. Pass this on to family and friends urging them to do the same.

he life and legacy of the decease lies in the memory of the living.

Michael Jackson Fans The REAL Heroes Responsible For Shutting Down the Discovery Channel Documentary
O
nce again, as a mighty dynamism, the Michael Jackson fan community can be credited for and deserves it for the halting of the Discovery Channel documentary in December of 2010. The Mock Autopsy was scheduled to air three times in January of 2011. At another crucial time they continue to reign as the true defenders of Michael Jackson’s legacy.
be considered a game to Michael Jackson supporters. Discovery’s Michael Jackson Autopsy Documentary ‘Postponed Indefinitely’ deadline.com journalist got it wrong. Why do they tend to create or add special effects to stories instead of searching for the truth? The truth isn’t sensational enough. Straight across the board information doesn’t sell as much. The petition was created and published by fans, on December 5, 2010, weeks before the estate manager’s sent a letter to David Zaslay, president of Discovery Communications. This is what the journalist had to say:

any email messages were sent and telephone calls were made to the Discovery Chanel UK network officials, by Michael Jackson fans, strongly requesting they withdraw the airing of the mock autopsy. Stop Mock Autopsy
The letter to Discovery Communications president and CEO David Zaslav triggered a petition by fans against the special, which was slated to air across Europe in January.
AGAINST MJ AUTOPSY DISCOVERY CHANNEL DOCUMENTARY An online petition posted on December 5, 2010 by Michael Jackson fans yielded 12,000+ signatures. Vindicating Michael WordPress administrator, Helena, called the documentary a “Modern Day Golgotha” http://vindicatemj.wordpress.com/2010/12/21/stop-mjautopsy-on-discovery/
In their letter, the Michael Jackson estate co-executors John Branca and John McClain called the network’s decision to air the documentary “shockingly bad taste, insensitive to Michael’s family and appears motivated solely by your blind desire to exploit Michael’s death, while cynically attempting to dupe the public into believing this show will have serious medical value.” They also objected to a print ad for the special (picture on right), which they called “debased, sick and insensitive.”
Slumz.boxden.com had this to say about MJ Fans: Though Discovery Channel is probably expecting high ratings, Michael Jackson fans can be pretty extreme, so this beef is still anyone's game. Shutting Down the Discovery Channel - Continued
Michael Jackson Estate Demands Discovery Channel Cancel Autopsy Show
T
he Michael Jackson Estate Manager’s sent a formal letter to the Discovery Channel demanding they cancel the show. Personally, I cannot give them credit for this effort because the fan community was way ahead of them, as is the norm. Michael Jackson fans do not sit around waiting on the Estate Managers or anyone else to protect Michael’s legacy. Then again there may be a teaspoon full still dependent upon the estate managers, but if you care to take a poll you’d surely be able to count that teaspoon on your fingers. Michael Jackson fans will always defend him against those who continue to unjustly attack and defame him.

Michael Jackson autopsy show cancelled In a statement issued through their rep, Branca and McClain told TMZ, "The co-executors of the Estate of Michael Jackson are pleased that Discovery Channel made the correct decision in choosing to cancel this exploitative program." Furthermore, the Estate applauded efforts by fans of the "King of Pop" by saying, "While Discovery cited legal proceedings and our request as the reasons for its decision, none of this would have happened had it not been for the incredible passion displayed by countless Michael Jackson fans worldwide who knew they stood as one and that their voices could 44
Divided we “Fall”
“Did Michael Jackson hate being a Black Man? “ "I love being Black. I am proud of my race. I have pride and dignity" Michael Jackson, Do actions speak louder than words? Not necessarily because it is with words that we interpret action and give that action meaning after the fact. We can let the racist press interpret Michael's actions or we can let the man speak for himself. Ebony: Did your travels have any influence on the way you think about races of people?
“I don’t understand racism. We are all the same and I have the perfect hypothesis to prove it. I play to all those countries and they cry in all the same places in my show. They laugh in the same places. They become hysterical in the same places. They faint in the same places and that’s the perfect hypothesis. There is a commonality that we are all the same.”Michael Jackson
Michael: The main thing that I hate most is ignorance, like the prejudice problems of America. I know it is worse in some other countries. But I wish I could borrow, like from Venezuela or Trinidad, the real love of color-blind people and bring it to America. Ebony: You are making some observations with intense feelings. Please continue.
"(Racism:) It is cruelty, it´s ugly and I hate it. You are my brother (points out to the children). They are my brothers. If you are black, white, Arab....we are all the same. I love all races equally.... I love all people of the world." Michael Jackson, TV Interview with children in Tunisia, 1996
Michael: I’m prejudiced against ignorance. That's what I’m mainly prejudiced against. It’s only ignorance and it’s taught because it’s not genetic at all. The little children in those [countries] aren’t prejudiced. I would like for you to put this in quotes, too. I’m really not a prejudiced person at all. I believe that people should think about God more and creation …. Look at the many wonders inside the human body – the different colors of organs, colors of blood – and all these different colors do a different thing in the human body. It’s the most incredible system in the world; it makes an incredible building, the human being. And if this can happen with the human body, why can’t we do it as people? And that’s how I feel. And that’s why I wish the world could do more. That’s the only thing I hate. I really do.
This one especially caught my eye………. “I´m proud of my heritage. I´m proud of it. I´m proud to be black. I´m honored to be black, and I just hope one day they will be fair in portraying me the way I really, really am….just a loving, peaceful guy wanting to make wonderful, unprecedented entertainment and songs and music and film for the world. That´s all I want to do. I´m no threat. I just want to do that. That´s what I want to do. To bring joy to the world.” Michael Jackson in a Steve Harvey radio interview in
Ebony: What you have just said is not only compassionate but compelling. How do you communicate such feelings since you don’t make public appearances to express your views in public forums?
"It doesn't matter which blood or race or creed or color. Love is love and it breaks all boundaries and you just see it right away." Michael Jackson
Michael: I try to write, put it in song. Put it in dance. Put it in my art to teach the world. If politicians can’t do it, I want to do it. We have to do it. Artists, put it in paintings. Poets, put it in poems, novels. That’s what we have to do. And I think it’s so important to save the world.
Why would we not believe the words from the man himself?
