Latoya Moore (niece) 1 Corinthians 15:50-58 (KJV), 50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. 51
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53
For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55
O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Remembering Sister Wade”
A woman who lived a life of service and caring for others, Barbara Elaine Wade Remekie entered eternal life on Saturday, October 19, 2019. A God fearing Christian, and scholar, she was a champion of hope for those who needed support. Barbara was born on May 31, 1934 to Gladys and Jacob in Hamwalk, St. Catherine, Jamaica. Known affectionately as Sister Wade to many and Cutie to her peers and elders, she was an outstanding scholar in her community of Hamwalk. Passing her first, second and third year exams early, she was accepted to the prestigious Mico Teacher’s College, now Mico University in Kingston. There she excelled, and graduated with honors making her the first in her family and community to graduate from college. Barbara was loved and revered by both family and friends. She made everyone proud by her accomplishments and the dignity which she lived her life. Furthermore, she held a special place in everyone’s heart due to her kindness and devotion to her family and friends. Most importantly, she loved the Lord and had a powerful, healthy and longstanding relationship with him. Barbara served as a member of the choir in all churches she attended. In addition, she was an outstanding educator in St. Mary, St. Thomas and St. Catherine where she was instrumental in the lives of hundreds of children. Barbara migrated to the US in 1973 where she worked for years as a domestic helper to get her permanent visa. As soon as she was successful, she filed for her mother, daughters, two sisters and their children. Later, she worked for many years as librarian at Fiduciary Trust in the World Trade Center, New York City. She retired after she was caught in the first bombing of the World Trade Center where she suffered smoke inhalation and was later diagnosed with sarcoidosis, a lung disease. Sister Wade was happy being grandmother to her grand children but later found true love with a childhood friend Leon Remekie. They married in 1999 and moved to Florida where they lived a comfortable lifestyle. Leon was a deacon in church and she was instrumental on the choir. They held frequent gatherings at home where Leon played the piano and she sang. They made a great team and enjoyed their lives together. When Barbara was diagnosed with early onset of Alzheimer’s, they moved to New Jersey where they lived with daughter, Patricia. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and infectious laughter but most of all her family will remember her as being a true pioneer, moving forward but always looking back to help others. A true matriarch and a Queen. “The legacy of a queen is a pure heart of gold.” Hillary Drummond Simpson “The greatness of a woman is not how much wealth she acquires

but in her integrity and ability to affect those around her.” Bob Marley

Dear Grandmother It’s been so long since I felt your touch But somehow I’m still missing you so much That terrible disease started to take you away. I still remember the day you couldn’t recognize my face. How could the closest one to me just forget who I was? I prayed every day that your condition would change. Distant memories but your spirit is still near. I know you’re with the Lord, so no longer will I fear. It’s been so long since I felt your touch But when I close my eyes I still see that beautiful smile Hear that infectious laughter and feel your tender touch. I’d give the world just to hear you sing. You were always so cheerful and gave God all the praise. How could I be so selfish to beg you to stay? Your time on earth was not in vein You are a Queen and that will never change. It’s been so long since I felt your touch But God knew you were suffering, he knew you were in pain He knew you would never get well on earth again He saw the road getting rough and the hills were hard to climb So he closed your eyes and whispered, “Peace be Thine”. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn’t go alone For part of us went with you the day God called you home.

At The Graveside In The Garden Verse 1: I come to the garden alone, While the dew is still on the roses, And the voice I hear, falling on my ear, The Son of God discloses. Refrain: And He walks with me and He talks with me And He tells me I am his own And the joy we share as we tarry there, None other has ever known Verse 2: He speaks and the sound of his voice, Is so sweet the birds hush their singing, And the melody that he gave to me, Within my heart is ringing. Verse 3: I’d stay in the garden with him Tho’ the night around me be falling, But he bids me go, thro the voice of woe His voice to me is calling.
