ALL THE GLORY BELONGS TO YOU... “This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.” Psalm 24:6-8 (KJV) I am profoundly grateful to celebrate my 10th Pastoral Anniversary and deeply appreciative of your presence here tonight. I’m excited about the journey that has been Whosoever Will Ministries. As it says in Romans 8:31, “ What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” Some of you here tonight have been with me and praying for me since the beginning, and others I have met along the journey. I just want to say Thank You, Thank You!! I would not have gotten through the challenges or appreciated the triumphant moments without you. I reflect on the days of starting out as a Pastor for the first time only knowing I wanted to bring people to Christ, fight for those who couldn’t fight for themselves and be a light to someone in this dark world. I am continuously amazed by the power of God. Whoso, together we’ve faced many challenges, but we’ve overcome them with boldness. It was always in my heart and mind to never allow our size to dictate what we set forth to accomplish in ministry. My goal has always been to help as many people as I could, while I could. This was not the road that I chose, but I know it was the road God chose for me. “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” Proverbs 16:9 To every Pastor who has helped me in these 10 years, I am grateful for your encouragement every step of the way. With that said, I would be remised if I didn’t thank Rev. Robert G. Lane, the late Pastor of New Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church where I received my license. He saw in me what I did not see. Thanks to Rev. Dr. Fletcher C. Crawford, former Pastor of Union Grove Baptist Church, where I was ordained. Pastor Crawford told me very early in my preaching and serving to keep doing what you’re doing and the Lord will see. To Rev. E. D. Porter, former Pastor of First Corinthians Baptist Church who allowed me to experience working fulltime in ministry; thank you. To all of the churches that share in this celebration, THANK YOU! I so appreciate your fellowship throughout the years.
To my Whoso family, you make me proud to be your Pastor! I still turn my head with some disbelief when one of you calls me Pastor. When others didn’t think we could do it, you did. I have always said with confidence, “Whoso is my ride or die crew” which still remains true today. With the help of the Lord, we have done things nobody thought this small church in the Bronx could do. “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26 I want you to know I still get excited about preaching to you Sunday after Sunday. Whether I hit it out of the park or just manage to get on base, you always cheer me on. I know that your Love has sustained me through the bad, good and yes the crazy. I want you all to know that I don’t take lightly your unconditional support. As for me personally, I pray that God is pleased with my efforts, and I hope I did what the Lord wanted. I pray that I have done something to make Whosoever Will stronger and better for years to come. I always tried my best to give my best. I will never be able to names all of the people who have helped me, so let me thank 3 of them. THANK YOU Spiritual Mom, Rev. Dr. Betty A. Spencer, for letting me talk crazy when I needed to; THANK YOU Spiritual Dad, Rev. Dr. Carl L. Washington, Jr., for not letting me act crazy when I wanted to; THANK YOU Spiritual Mentor, Dr. R. A. Vernon, for showing me I wasn’t crazy when everyone (including me) thought I was. To my mother, Betty Lou Quarles, who gave me the “gift of God”; and my father, Francis Davis Quarles, who gave me the “gift of laughter”, both of these gifts have made me into the man and the Pastor that I am today. I am forever grateful for how you raised me, which gave me a solid foundation. To the rest of the Quarles clan, thank you for your support. For all of you who know me, you know it’s all about the people and I’m just the instrument the Lord is using. So stop reading this and enjoy the Word, food and music. Celebrate Good Times… Come On! Giving God The Glory For You Always

And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking saith the Lord. (Jeremiah 23:4 NIV)
“Oh How I Love Jesus” 1. There is a name I love to hear, I love to sing its worth; it sounds like music in my ear, the sweetest name on earth. Refrain: O how I love Jesus, O how I love Jesus, O how I love Jesus, because he first loved me! 2. It tells me of a Savior’s love, who died to set me free; it tells me of his precious blood, the sinner’s perfect plea. (Refrain) 3. It tells of one whose loving heart can feel my deepest woe; who in each sorrow bears a part that none can bear below. (Refrain)
