Click ‘Next’ to copy the data. 7. Your Excel file may have multiple files. But, you need to choose only the correct sheets that you wish to move to SQL. Make the correct selection and press ‘Next’. 8. Select ‘Run Immediately’ from the given options and click on ‘Next’. 9. It completes the process and data from Excel to SQL server can be effectively imported through this process. 10. Finally, you need to make sure whether the data has been correctly imported into SQL Server. To ensure this Run ‘Select*from XYZ File’. XYZ here is the relevant filename associated with the data imported to SQL. 11. SQL will now give a default file name to the Excel sheet. But, you can always rename it according to your preference. To rename the file, go to SQL Management Studio and go to the table and right-click on the table name. The ‘Rename’ option will appear and you can easily change the file name by clicking
on it. To recheck the data, run the ‘Select Query’ once again, just like you did earlier, with the updated table name.
