NEW MOUNT MORGAN BUSINESS USES SOUND FOR HEALING

Mount Morgan’s newest business is that of a sound healer located in Morgan Street at Shop 2, 83 Morgan Street, nestling between Bidgerdii Community Health and the Historical Museum.

Owner Tammy Wildheart trained with the Academy of Integral Sound Healing, a UK accredited school.

“They ran workshops out of Byron Bay, but the majority was done online.

“For the past two years I have spent many hours completing the theory and practical training needed to achieve my diploma,” she said. Her studies included the history of sound healing and the science of healing with natural resonance and its effects on the body.

She also had to learn many instruments including the Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, tinctures, bells, chimes, crystal singing bowls, crystal harp, kalimba, tuning forks, rain sticks, ocean drums, thunder tubes, shakers, tapping sticks, Native American flute, Shruti box, many varieties of drums including medicine drum and her voice. There are many more instruments to learn and acquire, this will be a life long journey in experimenting with sound.

So what is sound healing?

“Each of us has our own energy field, I help people tune their bio energy fields with the help of specific instruments that resonate natural harmonic sound frequencies that directly attune to your body’s vibratory state of being,” Tammy explains.

“Eighty percent of the population suffer from stress related illness, sound healing puts the body into a deep state of relaxation, which becomes the perfect environment to induce self healing,” Tammy said.

“I describe sound healing as having a massage with sound.”

Tammy arrived in Mount Morgan over four months ago, with a dream of renovating a beautiful old Queenslander and introducing the local community to the wonders of sound healing.

“I’m happy to report not only have I started renovating a grand old Queenslander but I am honoured to have just opened Mount Morgans first sound healing studio, Wild Healing,” she said.

“To start off I will be holding three sound bath sessions a week, every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 5pm.

“A sound bath is a sound immersive experience set in a group atmosphere. While you lay back and relax. I will fill the space with natural tones and vibrations that your body will take in, truely an hour of bliss.

“I specialise in one on one sound healings and these sessions are catered to each individual and their specific areas of need.

“These sessions go from 1-2 hrs and allow me to pinpoint and address what it is you are wanting to heal or bring change to.

“I look forward to meeting and immersing myself in the local community of Mount Morgan, so far its been a wonderful experience,” she said.
