Program Highlights

T

his fall, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Epsilon Rho Zeta Chapter of Wilmington, Delaware is excited to announce the 2n bi-annual R.O.Y.A.L. Miss Blue Revue Mentoring and Debutante program. The goal of this program is to inspire young women age 14 -18 through educational forums designed to support educational endeavors. Aimed at minority young women, The R.O.Y.A.L. Miss Blue Revue Mentoring and Debutante Program provides opportunities to; socialize and develop lifelong friendships, engage in activities that promote community involvement, and acquire learning experiences that encourage personal growth and development. Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc has prepared young ladies for leadership since 1920. Resource materials have been developed for the young women and the Miss Blue Revue mentors. There will be a five part workshop series to include:      

College Readiness Workshop–a seminar that explores ways to afford college, and how to design a college readiness timeline for freshman through senior years. College Tour: Five college visits- University of Delaware, University of Delaware State, and Wilmington University. Essay Writing Workshop - a seminar in which the debutante learns learn about the true purpose of the college essay, and what it is that admissions offices are looking for in the essay. Debutantes will be prepared with the tools necessary to write a draft of their essay Social Media Workshop- a seminar designed with major elements of: respect, trust, mutual intimacy, caring and empathy, communication, self-awareness/self-worth and social media Healthy Relationships &Self Esteem Workshop- a seminar that focuses on positive body image and self esteem Etiquette and Professional Attire Workshop- a seminar that is designed to give adolescents the social skills necessary to help them mature into confident and self-assured adults. .
