ABOUT MOBFW THIS EVENT IS PART OF AN EVEN BIGGER DEVELOPMENT ALONG OUR GULF COAST, A MOVEMENT OF FASHION FORWARD THINKING AND CREATIVE OUTREACH. MOBILE FASHION WEEK WAS BORN FORM THE IDEA OF “FASHION WITH A CAUSE”.

THE CONCEPT WAS SIMPLE: BRING EVERY FACET OF THE FASHION INDUSTRY TOGETHER TO SUPPORT A LOCAL CHARITY. FROM MODELS TO DESIGNERS, MAKEUP ARTISTS TO HAIRSTYLISTS, AND EVERYONE ELSE IMAGINABLE IN BETWEEN. LET’S BRING THEM ALL TOGETHER TO SUPPORT CAMP RAP-AHOPE. A PERCENTAGE OF TICKET SALES AND SPONSORSHIP DONATIONS ARE DONATED EACH YEAR TO THE WELL KNOWN CAMP FOR KIDS WITH CANCER. ALONG THE WAY WE HAVE BUILT A HUGE COMMUNITY OF SUPPORTERS FOR OUR CAMPAIGN WHO IN NO SMALL WAY HAVE HELPED US IN BRINGING A FUN AND EXCITING WEEK OF FASHION TO THE GULF COAST. THIS IS A WEEK NOT EASILY FORGOTTEN. THERE IS SO MUCH TO SHARE ABOUT THE EVENT, SO PLEASE VISIT THE REST OF OUR SITE. NOTHING IN THE SITE THOUGH WILL TRULY COMPARE WITH THE FEELING YOU’LL GET BEING IN THE FRONT ROW! Brookley has a long history as a world recognized center for the aerospace industry. As a result, the Mobile Airport Authority realized the need to craft the master plan for future growth and competitive positioning. The master plan includes upgrades to the entire infrastructure to attract future growth opportunities. In addition, Brookley adapted a new brand and logo and was renamed, Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley, in 2011. The upgrades have garnered the attention of world industries. In 2012, Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley was selected to become home of Airbus’s first U.S. final assembly line manufacturing the A320 family aircraft.

For 115 years, Brookley has seen some of the greatest developments in aviation. From a rubber-band powered “flying machine” to the newest and most sophisticated military aircraft, the aerospace industry has found Brookley Field on Mobile Bay the perfect place to be.
