Join a naturalist to learn about the animals who live in and around Wheaton Regional Park. Summer temperatures are soaring! Where's the coolest place to be? Head down out shady woodland trails! Use soil thermometers, laser thermometers and your keen sense of touch to find the hot spots, warm breezes or the best spot to cool off with your family or small group. This self-guided activity is for families with children 8+ and meets at Brookside Nature Center. Starting time slots are available on the half hour. Registration closes the Friday before each weekend event. No drop-ins. Natural surface trails are not stroller accessible. Severe weather cancels the program. Please register all attending adults and children over the age of 2. Face coverings are required and physical distancing rules apply.
