The NEW Josiah Henson Museum & Park in North

The museum’s exhibits and programs Bethesda, Maryland, commemorates the life of celebrate the challenging and inspiring life of Reverend Josiah Henson (1789–1883). He was renowed Reverend Henson, educates visitors about as an Underground Railroad hero, abolitionist and enslavement in Maryland, and promotes an author. Reverend Henson’s autobiography helped appreciation of the African American inspire the fictional anti-slavery novel, Uncle Tom’s experience of Montgomery County. Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe.
