What’s a top highlight in your career? Walking the Victoria's Secret runway. What’s your favorite time of day? When the sun sets and the sky is a dark blue and all the trees are silhouettes. What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to do but have been scared to try? Skydiving!
What’s something you learned about yourself in COVID-19 quarantine? Taking time for yourself and stopping everything around you for a period of time can be refreshing and can ignite new creative flows. What’s your spirit animal? Sometimes a tiger, sometimes a sloth. How did you start your career as a model? I was a “Brandy Melville Girl” when they first blew up on Instagram and it was a domino effect from there. What are you most excited about at this time in your life? My mental strength and how much I’ve grown. I’ve finally fallen in love with myself. What's your biggest vice and how do you overcome it? My biggest vice has to be my issues with being alone and being a bit of a “serial dater”. I’ve overcome it by fighting that urge to need someone other than myself. I’ve learned to love being alone and focusing completely on my career rather than a love life.
As a model and an Influencer, how do you hope to influence people through your platform? I hope to give people a sense of relatability and authenticity. I’m a very transparent and honest person, so letting people know they aren’t alone in what they go through, whether it be family trauma or insecurities, we all go through it, even the “perfect” models on Instagram. What would you like to say to your fans? You guys truly bring me so much light when I feel low about myself. I’m so grateful for the support and understanding you have for me. For those who really know me and my story, you guys are my family. You guys are a part of me and we’re best friends.

Upon the launch of Gemma Crowe’s stunning swimwear label, Infamous Swim, the fresh creations, modern unique, and colorful styles soon caught the eye of fashion lovers from all across the globe. The designer is clearly set for great things ahead as the line has grown in popularity with its celebrity sightings and as a poolside staple. Drawing inspiration from Instagram, where Gemma followed accounts where mommy’s and their adorable mini’s would coordinate swimwear, she speaks to Modeliste about her journey so far and the inspiration behind this must-have label the Summer. What is the story behind the creation of Infamous Swim? My passion for the Infamous & Mini Swim collection came about through Instagram. I am Instagram mad and adore the supportive communities of women built through the platform, not only for the divine imagery but the day-to-day conversations about kids, breastfeeding, husbands, working with kids - you name it, we discuss it! I have such a love for beautiful Instagram accounts where Mumma’s would match with their minis! It’s such a hit and I realised there was nothing in the market for complementary and highquality swimwear for mums to match with their kids. And so, my concept for Infamous & Mini Swim was born. What makes it so unique in the swimwear industry? Well, further to the above, I think what makes us really unique for a swimwear label is that we are major on body confidence/ positivity. Swimwear is typically a category that makes us feel insecure about our flaws, but at Infamous Swim we truly believe that women should be spiritually and emotionally nourished and feel good from the inside out no matter what stage of life they are in. As women, I believe our bodies are simply incredible and should be celebrated, and we promote that empowerment through my swimwear for ladies of all shapes and sizes. Our swim is for everybody. How would you describe it in 3 words? Fun, Positivity, Family. What are some of the top swimwear trends for 2021? The colour trends for the next Summer are an electrifying pink, a mango-like orange, a calming blue and a plant based, olive-like green. In styles we’re seeing more vintage shapes, think the full coverage or sculpted bikini top and high waisted bottoms (which we’ve been a huge fan of for years!).

What are the best selling styles? Our best selling print is definitely the Safari Leopard, for our wonderful customers leopard print is a basic, and the Gia and Ginger bikini sets are hands down the favourites. We’re sure it’s because most women feel supported, tucked in and, most importantly, fabulous. The Miranda and the Candice one pieces have also been a hit! How does Infamous Swim come up with new collections? My initial consideration is thinking through summer trends, colours and patterns for the coming year. This gets me ‘in the zone’ pretty quickly and from there I’ll sketch or play around with creative ideas. I’m a perfectionist, and the first range took around 8 months to bring to life. Each of our prints are hand-drawn designs. This part is a carefully curated process that includes sketching, colouring in with pencil, and scanning into a computerised program to make final edits and ensure our prints are picture perfect. As for inspiration, well, that comes from everything around me. Our beautiful Paradise print is a mix of the stunning Australian sunsets, my favorite color mint and a Monstera plant I see every day. What can people expect to see from Infamous Swim in 2021? We are constantly asked when are we going to bring out a tankini!.. so I’m working on this at the moment and will hopefully launch this year. We also have some more new prints, colours and textured fabrics in the works, they’re coming for this Summer, and a few more styles. Where does Infamous Swim get inspiration for their designs? We’re always listening to what customers are looking for, what they struggle with when looking for swimsuits, as well as our own design ideas looking through vintage archives, modern trends, and developing the styles that will suit our goal to suit every body. What would you like to say to your Infamous Swim fans? Thanks for the love! We wouldn’t be here without our amazing customers who have supported and encouraged us from the beginning, we can’t thank them enough for being such awesome people and really embracing our vibe. What will we love most about your latest collection? Our latest collection is our collaboration with Marcia Leone, @notsomumsy, …it’s a gorgeous take on animal print blended with the hibiscus flower. It’s somehow soft and subtle yet stunning, we’ve had so many amazing comments on it already, only a few weeks in.

20 Questions with ANNE WINTERS @annewinters Where are you from? I am originally from Dallas, Texas. What are three words you would use to describe yourself? Three words to describe myself: fun, adventurous, and talented. What’s your favorite movie? My favorite movie, Legally Blonde. That's what I'm trying to recreate right now. I don't know if you could tell. Favorite holiday? My favorite holiday is Christmas because I ... Hold on, I was chewing on a seed. Don't edit that out because that's funny. My favorite holiday is Christmas because I love Christmas lights and sparkly things, and Christmas is that. Dream place to travel? I want to go to Bali so badly. That's my next place I want to go. What’s your favorite memory? My favorite memory is winning my Emmy, which actually happened this day last year. So my mom just sent me a throwback photo of me winning my Emmy last year, today. Best memory ever! What’s your biggest weakness? My biggest weakness is I'm just such a hard worker. I feel like that's what everyone says in a job interview. No, I'm just kidding. I would say my biggest weakness for myself would be self-doubt or overthinking something, when realistically, I think I actually should think I'm really good at something and I'm really criticizing myself. So basically, I'm just awesome and I need to realize that. What’s your biggest strength? My biggest strength is once I start something or when I have my mind set to something, I go for it and I am great at it, no matter what it is. I know that no matter what I have my mind set to, I will do it well. When are you most inspired? I'm most inspired when I hang out with certain people that really motivate me. When I hang around a group of people or people that I admire work-wise or whatever, and hear their story or see some sort of success that I'm trying to achieve at that time, that's when I'm most inspired. Watching the Oscars and seeing a really great speech really inspires me.
What makes you smile the most? The first thing that came to my mind was my dog, because every time I see her, she's smiling already. I wake up and she's already smiling next to me. I don't know what it is, but she knows when I'm going to wake up and she's just sitting there. So she makes me smile probably the most during the day. But a lot of things make me smile. I'm a very happy person, so I just smile at a lot of things.
Any projects you're currently working on? Right now I'm working on The Orville. It's on Hulu. It's on its third season. I come in as a new character, her name is Charly Burke. She's really smart and bad-ass and she is the navigator on the ship and she has really cool storylines. I'm so excited!
Sweet or savory? I definitely like savory better, savory food over sweet. But at the same time, once I have enough savory things, I like sweet things.
So I don't know. That was the biggest thing I discovered, is what do I really want to do? And that's why I ended up optioning the book of Unraveling of Cassidy Holmes, which I'm producing, and it's going to be an MTV show which I'm really excited about. And without COVID, I probably wouldn't have had time to sit down, read a book, and think about where I wanted my career to go. So I'm really grateful for that. Obviously, it was a really hard time for everybody.
What is something you learned about yourself this past year during COVID-19 quarantine? During COVID I feel like it was just a learning experience for everybody. What’s a song you can listen to on repeat? Blow Your Mind by Eve. It's like a really old pop 90s, 2000s song. And it's so freaking good. Any pop fun song that you heard in the early 2000s is my jam. What’s a top highlight in your career? A top highlight in my career would be winning the Emmy. But I would say, I don't know, anytime I find out I'm booking something. It's really just crazy. When I found out I booked “13 Reasons Why”, that was crazy. I jumped up and down for a good 20 minutes! It was fun. What’s your favorite time of day? My favorite time of day would be around 4:00 PM. I don't know why, but the morning's done, I get all of my errands done. I'm such a morning person so I wake up at 6:30, get everything done, and 4:00 PM is my winding down time. And then I go to bed really early. So 4:00 PM is my, if you want to hang out with me 5:00 maybe, let's go out. Let's have a drink. And then I'm probably going to go to bed. What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to do but have been scared to try? One thing I've always wanted to do is skydive, but I'm really nervous to skydive. Everyone's done that though, so I don't know. I'm next, I know I am. I will skydive eventually, but yeah, not today.

19 Questions with JORDAN OZUNA @ jirdyn Where are you from? So I am originally from Maryland, but I've really lived all over the place: in Europe, Guam, Hawaii, a bunch of different states. Kind of a nomad. I'm a nomad so the hardest question is, "where are you from?" What are three words you would use to describe yourself? Three words that I would use to describe myself are sarcastic and funny, at least I think I'm funny, and caring about people. What’s your favorite movie? My favorite movie is Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Favorite holiday? My favorite holiday is Christmas. Dream place to travel? My dream place to travel would have to be Cambodia. When no one else is awake and you can just have a second to yourself. That's my favorite time. What’s one thing you’ve always wanted to do but have been scared to try? I really would love to scoop it out, but I'm way too scared to actually try to do it. I feel like it would be cool. Any projects you're currently working on? Tell us about the concept behind the Table Service. Ideally we are a luxury picnic service. We create customized full table setups for all occasions. We also offer setups for kids birthdays and dining heights table Service for the more elegant occasion. What is the inspiration behind the company’s creation? Our biggest inspiration is being able to explore our creative side and bringing people together. We just love the expressions our client gives when they arrive and see their set up. The moment is truly priceless. What makes it so unique? What makes us unique is the freedom we give our clients on customizing their events. They give us their vision and we make it come to life. We are also unique from other picnic companies because we make the tables ourselves. We never say no to big parties. If we don’t have enough tables, we just make more as needed. What are your favorite locations which you arrange the events at? Our most popular locations are beaches and parks. However, we do love a backyard setting as it is more intimate and private. What is typically included in your specialized event services? We include a full table setting along with table decorations, rugs, pillows, and some props to compliment the settings. You can also add on fun jumbo games to make your event extra fun. What essentials do you need to make your set up so chic? Fresh flower arrangements and dried florals are highly requested. Fresh florals for a more elegant look and dried florals for that boho feel. What are your tips to creating a successful summer event? Definitely incorporating fun colorful colors for that summer vibe. It is also fun to include other vendors such as balloons and marquee letters to make that event extra grand. Favorite picnic essentials? A teepee is a must. It definitely compliments the table setup quite nicely. Hence, our logo :) How would you describe your company in 3 words?
