Although there are a few similarities between Classic European Facials and Medical Facials, not all facials are created equal. Medical Facials are performed in a physician’s office, customized to your particular skin needs utilizing medical grade products and devices.
WEIGH YOUR OPTIONS Aestheticians or Skin Care Specialists are well equipped to handle superficial skin exfoliation and classic facials. In California aestheticians are licensed and regulated by the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. According to the BBC aestheticians can practice Esthetics which is defined as “Esthetics is the practice of giving facials, applying makeup, applying eyelashes, removing hair (by waxing or tweezing), and providing skin care, which includes microdermabrasion services. It includes beautifying the face, neck, arms, or upper body (from the shoulders up) by the use of cosmetic preparations, antiseptics, tonics, lotions, or creams.” Medi-spas require a consulting physician medical director. Unlike medi-spas, dermatology offices provide medical guidance, effective tools and techniques for ultimate results. “If your goal is to obtain a treatment that is truly corrective, makes a long-term difference, and is performed in a clean professional environment then seek a reputable
dermatology office” explains board certified dermatologist Dr. William Schweitzer. “An effective facial removes dead skin cells so that healthier skin can be exposed and medical grade skin care products can penetrate. We have a comprehensive individualized approach to achieve that.” Your skin will obtain the most benefit from a facial performed by a medical aesthetician in a medical setting as medical aestheticians are less likely to be persuaded by trendy ingredients and methods that bring zero to minimal benefit to your skin and may actually cause damage.

Q & A should be available and not rushed. A competent and experienced aesthetician should be able to provide you with direct answers. Don’t hesitate to ask about your aesthetician’s experience and qualifications. Cleanliness is a must! Take a few minutes to look around and survey the room. Pay attention to detail, your surroundings and especially the instruments which will be utilized should be exceptionally clean. If the instruments are not disposable they should be sterilized and individually wrapped after sterilization is complete.
There is only ONE like you. Your skin should be thoroughly evaluated so that your treatment can be tailored to your specific needs. How did you originally get into blogging/being an Influencer? I am originally Spanish and I moved to England as a teenager. It wasn’t until I was on my first summer internship at Harrods at age of 17 when I realised I wanted to pursue my career in fashion. However for my parents wasn’t that easy to understand so I got kind of forced to follow the family tradition and I ended up studying marketing management at Cambridge university. I didn’t like the city I wanted to be back in London, I managed to apply by myself and to enter in Central Saint Martins the most prestigious fashion school in the world where artists like Alexander McQueen, Jimmy Choo and Stella McCartney studied. I opened my blog at age of 19 it was back then at the website of Elle magazine Spain. Soon it got shut down and I therefore made my Instagram became private. Stayed in the fashion world as low key and behind the scenes. Interned for Prada group, suite 341 (Sándro and Maje) and I got my first PR job in London. I got offered to move to the New York offices that same year and I met who I thought could have been the love of my life. I lost my job and the boy I was unsure if I should return to London so I gave myself a 2 chance and reopened my blog started to talk about my whole experience soon girls started to follow me and follow my story, I didn’t know what was happening I had 20k followers back then and I was invited to all the best fashion shows and was sat on front rows. It was a blow up I soon started to get paid jobs and booked to travel around the world I didn’t take it seriously until I signed off my first big contract and hit 100k followers. I will forever be thankful to my family who despite never believed in this industry as they are very conservative they always believed in me and my passion and enthusiasm for the world of fashion. Today I have 300K followers and I am travelling the world and getting to work with prestigious brands and Magazines like Bioderma, Derma E and Modeliste. Life is beautiful.

Tell us about the Red Frog Beach Resort. What was your experience there like and what did you love most about the property? It was absolutely paradise. No words to describe how I felt when I was there it was one of the biggest connections I’ve ever experienced with nature. Definitely want to come back. My favourite moment was our last night when we all said something we were grateful for and compliment the person on our right hand side we also sang moana and it was just magic. ow did you originally get into blogging/being an Influencer? I started in 2010 with my blog called Mes Voyages à Paris (www.mesvoyagesaparis.com). I chose that name because that platform was just a hobby at the moment where I wanted to only post pictures taken during Paris Fashion Week. Later, I introduced my daily outfits, travels and lifestyle. It was one of the first blogs that appeared in Spain and I’m still publishing on it 2 - 3 times per week. I consider myself fashion blogger more than “Influencer” because my origins were with my blog, although, nowadays my job is impossible to be defined in a single word. What 3 words describe your Instagram feed? My feminine followers are like me. They are fashionable, positive minded and luxury focused, or they aspire to be like that and they get inspiration from my account. So these are the 3 words I have in mind when it’s time to create content. Where do you get inspiration for your pictures? I get the inspiration from Fashion Weeks, Instagram accounts, blogs, magazines and TV shows, so basically, everything inspires me. I use to say that my eyes are like my camera and I see life through that lens, trying to capture everything in my mind and in our pictures. What is your #1 skincare tip for while traveling? Hydrate your skin a lot. Every morning, every night and during flights. What was your favorite Bioderma product and why? Before the trip I was already a huge fan of Sébium Mat Control. It kept my skin mate and smooth even with the humidity in Panama. What was your favorite Derma E product and why? Sun Protection Mineral Powder SPF30 is amazing. How would you describe your personal style? Casual chic most of the time, but that can evolve into more classy or more boho depending on the situation. Most recent splurge. It may sound strange because of my profession but I don’t like to splurge. Actually I hate it. I have always been the girl who knows how to make the most of a little budget. And now, brands gift me most of the clothes and accessories I have. But of course, I love shopping by myself and my secret to being happy spending my money is to be really sure of what I’m going to buy. Especially on expensive pieces, I dedicate my time to be sure that I’ll love that piece and use it a lot. My last splurge was a Chloé bag that I love and I have really been wearing a lot. Last TV Show you binge-watched. Riverdale. I loved the photography, the colors, it inspired me. At the beginning I started wearing ponytails like Betty all the time. Your life’s theme song at the moment? One Track Mind - Thirty Seconds To Mars. What do you love most about Summer? I feel real freedom in Summer. I’m traveling all the year and visiting all those dream paradises, but in Summer the days are so special. What I love the most is that I can spend lot of time with my husband. In my Summer days I wake up late, we prepare breakfast at home or go to our favorite places, we read, we go to the beach, ride our bicycles, we go for an aperitif, we spend hours on our terrace, we have a long dinner and a gin tonic. We have so much fun spending days together and I miss that so much during the year. We travel a lot together, but is for my collaborations with brands so it’s not the same, even though I’m so grateful to be able to travel with him. Most frequently used emoji? Hearts. I’m the most romantic person. I’m always sending hearts and kisses. And in real life I’m the same. Sometimes I try to be less romantic but… that’s who I am!

Tell us about the Red Frog Beach Resort. What was your experience there like and what did you love most about the property? Usually before traveling anywhere me or my team prepares a document, we research all of the places I’ll be visiting so I know exactly where I’ll be going. This time, we had no time for that so I arrived with only a few Google pictures on my mind, and that was great! Because of that, everything surprised me much more and when I found myself surrounded by savage nature, driving a golf cart through unpaved roads and walking by the pristine beach at sunset. I really disconnected from everything and I truly felt that magical freedom even though we were “working”, you know. I definitely want to go back there in the future.

Red Frog Beach resort is an enchanting island that delights your senses in ways you didn't know were possible. As soon as you step onto the dock, memorizing canopies of bright green and chartreuse create blissful rainforest. Sloths roam freely from tree to tree, seemingly very active! Chirps from the miniature Red Frogs are heard everywhere. And this is just the entrance! Your own private golf cart is used to travel from the the concierge to your villa, to the beach and restaurants! Exploring an island has never been more of an adventure. That is until you take the zipline through the sprawling canopies and even come face to face with a sloth! What was your favorite part about our Modeliste Mode Around the Globe Getaway to Panama? The beaches were white sand, the ocean was as if I were in a bath. The getaway felt like we were all part of this private community that looked out for each other. It was intimate and special. ow did you originally get into blogging/being an influencer? It was back in 2011, I lost my dad the end of 2010 and was really in a bad place in life. I needed a reason to get out of bed. The only thing I did back then was go to university. I was studying to be a stylist and a designer at Italian Academia del Lusso. I saw a few fashion blogs online and I decided that is going to be my project. I then had a reason to get up and dress nicely. I was taking photos every day and I really started enjoying it. It really kicked off a year or so later. Describe your Instagram feed in 3 words. Casual, pink and daily. Where do you get inspiration for your pictures? I guess all over Instagram. I am not the type to copy someone though. I have my poses, I usually wear sunglasses in my photos, and it’s not provocative but I try to edit my photos really nicely. What are your three must-have clothing pieces for summer? Denim shorts, ripped and good ones, denim jacket for chilly nights and cute dresses. For shoes I would say mules. How would you describe your personal style? It is very casual. Before I liked to play way more, but I take photos for my blog daily. Now I don’t think with Instagram you need to be dressed like that, so I buy pieces I know I will wear in my regular life as well. I live in black jeans. But my style is deff edgy, I love to call myself a rock princess because I really love both types of styles. What is your favorite movie? That is a hard question. When I was younger I always said it was Now and Then but now I am more of a tv show kind of girl. I love Suits, Scandal and The Royals. Last TV Show you binge-watched. Suits!
