his year’s Pride issue is a celebration of diversity. We’re celebrating Pride by honoring and spotlighting important voices in the LGBTQIA+ community. Our Cover Star, Law Roach, has been influential in changing the way the world views fashion and beauty, and continually shows the power of LGBTQIA+ representation on the red carpet and on screen. Having had his breakthrough moment as Zendaya’s Stylist, Law has manifested his fashion dreams while rising to the ranks of celebrity status himself and is now a Judge on Hbo Max’s hit show LEGENDARY. Known for breaking through numerous barriers, being influential and impactful in the LGBTQIA+ community and always striving to persevere and pursue his passions, Law has created some of the most iconic, innovative and imaginative looks for stars like Ariana Grande, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Kerry Washington, Meghan Thee Stallion, Celine Dion, and Demi Lovato- each alluring and a piece of his fascinating story. Being entertained by new and emerging talent. How did you develop your career as a stylist and the platform you have today? Hard work. What's your favorite collaboration you've done to this date? Law X Zendaya. You continue to leave a footprint on the world of fashion and seasonal trends, Where do you find your inspiration? Women, all women. Every woman. What advice do you have for someone that aspires to have a career like your own? Learn as much about the industry that you possibly can. Absorb what is going on around you and use that information to make you better.

What was your favorite part of traveling to El Dorado Seaside Suites? El Dorado was beautiful! But my favorite part was catching up with old friends and making new ones!
with Ashley Marie Dickerson What's something you're looking forward to most this summer? My birthday trip to Costa Rica! What inspires you and why? Friends inspire me. Other creators/models inspire me. I even inspire myself by looking back at how far I’ve come. What is a typical work day like for you? I have several different types of work days! 1. Working from home on the computer emailing brands, scheduling, editing. 2. Content days - where I create content for different brands. 3. Shoot days - Jobs booked through my agency where I’m usually shooting on location or in a studio for a brand. What do you enjoy doing in your free time? I’ve always had a passion for horses, so I love to ride as often as I can. Just being at home with my cat and watching a good movie is perfection. Are there any other careers you'd like to explore in the future? I could definitely see myself getting into interior design. Before I ever thought about modeling, I always loved anything to do with design. What was the most challenging aspect of developing the platform you have today? The most challenging aspect is definitely being consistent. That’s true for anything in life. Consistency is often the hardest part, but something good often comes of it. What advice would you give to someone who aspires to have a career like your own? Go for it! Take inspiration from other creators and make it your own. I believe the first step is deciding what your style is, then start creating! What are your favorite websites / stores to shop for your summer style? What's one fact people would be surprised to know about you? One thing people wouldn’t know about me is on a normal day I actually despise taking photos. Unless I’m working, you cannot get me in front of a camera. Are you working on any projects you can share with our Modeliste readers? Currently creating my own brand! It’s in the works - stay tuned. What are three items in your closet you cannot live without? My Nike sneakers, Levi’s jeans, and Talentless sweatsuit. One thing you cannot travel without? My face oil! I’m completely obsessed with the Organic Face Oil by Fachie. I put it on in the morning and at night, so I can never leave home without it. Take us behind the scenes of your everyday beauty routine for the perfect glowy skin for summer: I always start out with a good cleanser - my favorite is the OBAJI Daily Acne Treatment. Other people's journeys inspire me! I love to hear about other people's journeys, individuals that I admire that have followed their dreams and achieved what they wanted. That inspires me to go for what I want in life and to believe that anything is possible. What is a typical work day like for you? Wake up, coffee, and workout. Everyday is different sometimes I have to drive around the city to visit clients, go to the studio to shoot content or be at home on zoom calls. What do you enjoy doing in your free time? I enjoy going to the beach, relaxing and getting a tan! I also love just hanging out with my friends, having a nice dinner & wine! Are there any other careers you'd like to explore in the future? I love what I'm doing right now, apart from being a content creator I have a creative studio where we help brands with their social media strategy, image and content. I also have my own jewelry brand. What was the most challenging aspect of developing the platform you have today? Just staying up to day with everything! Social media changes and keeping up with it can be overwhelming. What advice would you give to someone who aspires to have a career like your own? To be patient. Everything takes time, but if you are consistent and passionate about it you will get there! with Jennifer Lee What's something you're looking forward to most this summer? This summer I really want to focus on travels and explore new places I've never been! I do want to go back to Europe though, because Europe in the summer time is an absolute dream- especially Italy. I'll never forget eating lemon pasta on the coast of Positano. I've never been to Croatia so I definitely want to go there. I’d also love to go cage diving with great white sharks and on a safari in South Africa so that’s definitely on my list! What inspires you and why? Honestly, I'm the most inspired when I'm traveling to beautiful locations. I think experiencing a new culture really makes you think of things differently than you would in your everyday life and is quite refreshing. From style of clothes, to inspo of how and where you want your photo taken. The feeling of being somewhere new is also very inspiring to create something different with a new perspective. What is a typical work day like for you? Since I'm both a model and influencer it really depends on what I'm doing/booked for that day. If I'm booked on a modeling job, I like to wake up early and leisurely have my morning coffee and use my face roller to depuff. I like to be relaxed before I head to set. If I'm creating content, my work day consists of prepping my outfits and styling them with different accessories and shoes. I usually steam and prep everything the night before and map out what needs to be shot, locations, and mood board for different outfits. Without the prep the night before, it gets super hectic and unorganized during a content shoot day so prepping is a must! What do you enjoy doing in your free time? In my free time I love to be outside! Whether it's a hike with my dog Bronson, kayaking, or running on the beach, anything outdoors really is something I enjoy! Are there any other careers you'd like to explore in the future? In the future I'd really love to create my own swimsuit line with my own designs! I used to have a small online swim boutique where I had a private label. It really taught me how to run a business since I did everything myself and built the company from the ground up! Now that I'm experienced and know how to run a business, I want to focus on creating my vision of designs! What was the most challenging aspect of developing the platform you have today? I think the most challenging aspect of developing my platform that I have today is staying current with the trends while being yourself. Although social media is a very
creative place, I've noticed that trends of types of images and TikToks create the most buzz and engagement. Some of those trends aren't really who I am or how I want to be depicted so staying true to myself yet having my own flare on these trends is something I've learned to intermix. What advice would you give to someone who aspires to have a career like your own? The best advice I'd give to someone who aspires to have a career like mine is that consistency is key! Also, I think creating your own signature brand and having a niche is very important! What are your favorite websites / stores to shop for your summer style? My favorite websites and stores to shop for my summer style are Runaway the Label, Meshki, Whitefox Boutique, and Revolve. What was your favorite part of traveling to El Dorado Seaside Suites? My favorite part of traveling to El Dorado Seaside Suites was the view from the plane. As we got closer to Cancun, the color of the ocean was absolutely breathtaking- the perfect tropical paradise. What's one fact people would be surprised to know about you? A fun fact about me is that I'm actually a dual US and Australian citizen. I was born in Sydney, Australia but moved to Los Angeles when I was young. My parents moved back a couple years ago so I go back and visit the homeland at least once a year. What are three items in your closet you cannot live without? I can't live without my high waisted ripped black jeans, black crop tank, and black block heeled booties. This is my go to signature outfit and it's literally perfect for any and every occasion! One thing you cannot travel without? My external power chargers! I freak out when my phone is at even 60% battery so having a charger nearby is an absolute must! Especially since almost all my work is done on my phone! Take us behind the scenes of your everyday beauty routine for the perfect glowy skin for summer: For my glowly summer skin, I always start with some sort of serum under my moisturizer. I like to change it up between Drunk Elephants A-Passioni Retinol cream and Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum with Hyaluronic Acid. Then I finish off Belif's True Cream Moisturing Bomb. At night before bed, do either the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair or Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate Face Oil. The life we have on earth is so complex and magical it’s hard not to be inspired by it. What is a typical work day like for you? Castings, emails, zoom meetings! It's a process but I love it all! What do you enjoy doing in your free time? I’m definitely a beach bum, I love hiking and eating a good meal with friends/family! Are there any other careers you'd like to explore in the future? I would love to explore acting, I feel like our daily lives are so theatrical. A good film is powerful, as It conveys a story that can change people’s perspective. What was the most challenging aspect of developing the platform you have today? Consistency. Our attention spans are so short that a steady stream of content is required.
What advice would you give to someone who aspires to have a career like your own? Follow your gut and your passion. Believe in yourself from the start! with Robbi Jan What's something you're looking forward to most this summer? Summer is my favorite time of year! The days are longer, and the world just seems a little brighter. I’m actually about to move to New York next month, so I’m looking forward to having my first summer thereand seeing what experiences the city brings! We also have a lot of trips coming up including Europe, and I’m potentially going back home to Australia as well. What inspires you and why? Traveling! There’s nothing more humbling than being reminded how big the world is and how much there is still to learn. The more I travel, the more I realize and am reminded how little I really know. It really changes your perspective on the world, and opens your mind. One of my favorite parts of exploring a new place is looking at the fashion, and feeling inspired. What is a typical work day like for you? Everyday is different when you work for yourself! My most productive days are the days where I DON’T snooze my alarm, and instead of picking up my phone and mindlessly scrolling on Instagram or checking my emails for half an hour, I open the curtains. I let the sun in, I put on music and make the bed. I sit down with my devotion, and that fills my spirit with encouragement. I then open notes on my phone and write a list of goals/tasks I want to get done that day. I typically work out as soon as I wake up, I love workout classes, especially when I need a motivation boost. Then it’s protein shake and breakfast time before I shower and get ready for the day. I typically have calls, catch up on emails, create content and edit videos. There’s always something to be done! What do you enjoy doing in your free time? I'm honestly such a beach baby - I grew up in a beach town in Australia, so I love nothing more than sitting in the sun with a nice book and just relaxing. Are there any other careers you'd like to explore in the future? I love my job, and I wouldn’t change it right now, I find it fulfilling and exciting. In the future I may move back into cosmetic dentistry. My passion as an Oral Health Therapist, is dental aesthetics. 5 years at university, and even though I’m not currently
Currently, I would love to dive deeper into the self help/motivational realm... I really enjoy motivational speaking and encouraging others, and try to implement that within my content on a day-to-day basis by using affirmations and positive quotes alongside my content. My podcast, Miracle Mindset focuses on asking experts in their fields (doctors, journalists, influencers, makeup artists, etc) how they've gotten to where they are and what advice they have to give, and it's so refreshing to hear different viewpoints on how others can succeed, so I'd love to continue with that and go even deeper in that area. What was the most challenging aspect of developing the platform you have today? The most challenging part for me is that unlike when I did dentistry, there’s no set hours, social media is not a 9-5. Like any entrepreneur, when it’s your business, you often end up working long hours because there's always something to do. So much goes into the behind the scenes that most people don't see and I'm lucky enough to have a really awesome team around me. What advice would you give to someone who aspires to have a career like your own? I would say, know your niche. The internet is so saturated and there’s so much noisefind something you’re passionate about, something unique that’s entertaining or educational. Everyone has a voice, but you have to actually be saying something. Like any career, you have to work extremely hard and it's a huge investment of time - make sure to dedicate your free time to it, shoot all your outfits/makeup looks or whatever your niche may be, and tag the brands, create high quality content and you will eventually be noticed. Be patient and keep working at it. What are your favorite websites / stores to shop for your summer style? A few of my favorites are Showpo, Revolve, Nordstrom, and I also love Zara for cute basics. For shows, I love DSW, Tony Bianco, Bloomingdale's and Macy's. What was your favorite part of traveling to El Dorado Seaside Suites? The whole resort was honestly a dream, and I felt so lucky to be a part of this trip. Waking up to a beautiful view of the ocean and falling asleep with the door open- feeling the breeze and listening to the waves was heaven. What's one fact people would be surprised to know about you? This was actually a career that happened organically for me! I kind of fell into it.
My university degrees are actually in the health space. I worked full time in Cosmetic Dentistry as an OHT and it was my passion. I loved seeing my patients, changing people's perception of going to the dentist, and boosting people’s confidence by improving their smiles. I started taking a lot of before and after photos of fillings that I had done on my patients. When I started sharing these pictures to the social media accounts of the practice, the business skyrocketed. It was at that point I realised the power in harnessing social media. It’s the future. I genuinely love sharing my life, and I hope that sharing the highs and lows of my life, can empower other women. Are you working on any projects you can share with our Modeliste readers? I’m currently designing a clothing collection with Showpo, an Australian fashion label, and one of my favorite brands. The collection will be out early next year and will be full of staples, and beautiful pieces that you will wear and re-wear for years to come- I can NOT wait to share it with you guys. What are three items in your closet you cannot live without? My favorite, most worn piece would probably have to be this cream colored light coat that I have from Revolve, I'm obsessed with layering it over an outfit like a crop top, jeans and heels to give it that effortless styled look. My second would probably be my Air Force 1s, I wear them almost every day and they go with so many looks (I'm a shoe girl at heart). My third would probably be my jewelry, I absolutely love jewelry and can't leave home without wearing it. One thing you cannot travel without? I never leave home without my airpods no matter where I'm going. I love listening to podcasts and self help videos to further expand my mind and well-being. Highly recommend that everyone has a pair - they're a game changer for long flights and traveling. Take us behind the scenes of your everyday beauty routine for the perfect glowy skin for summer: Before I EVER do makeup, I always start with sunscreen- the Glow Recipe watermelon glow niacinamide sunscreen is my favorite. I also love a good glowy base with a winged liner, pink or a nude lip and mascara. If I want to go a little more glam, occasionally I'll add a little more highlighter and some false lashes to the ends of my lashes.
