How to find the perfect shade of Nude lipstick for your skintone. By Niki Metz
As we all saw during Spring fashion week, models were adorned in dewy skin, strong liner and that perfect shade of nude lipstick we all wish we could wear. But little did you know that most models were wearing different shades of nude most likely customized by a makeup artist holding a palette of 6 to 8 nudes backstage. Finding that perfect nude lipcolor is like finding that perfect pair of black pants. It will never go out of season and it will balance out any smokey eye.
HERE ARE 2 SIMPLE STEPS IN FINDING YOUR PERFECT SHADE OF NUDE. 1. PREP THE CANVAS
Yes, even your lips should be prepped especially before wearing a nude lipcolor. If your lips are dry and chapped you will end up looking as if you have not had a drink of water in 3 days. I love ex-foliating my lips with Sara Happ The Lip Scrub in Brown Sugar. To finish off always apply a lip moisturizer. My go to is Jouer Essential Lip Enhancer, I literally have one on my night stand, one in my purse and one in my car!

2. FIGURE OUT YOUR SKIN TONE
The best way to explain it is like this. No matter your shade(fair, light, medium, tan), if you have pink undertones you will want to find a nude lipstick that has shades of pink, and pinkybeige (also called a neutral). If you have olive undertones you want to find a nude lipstick that has shades of either pink, peach or beige. Never wear a nude lipstick that is lighter than you skin tone as this will wash you out. It’s that easy! So go out there ladies and be prepared to try on lots of different shades. Just remember this: If it looks pasty then it's too light, if it's orange it's too dark, and if it disappears it's the right color.

Spring is about the rebirth and renewal of life, where everything around is fresh, flirty, and new. The 2015 spring hair trend reflects these fundamental elements of spring. At New York fashion week, designers paired their Spring trends with effortless, Romantic, “un-done” hair, allowing the natural beauty of the hair to effortlessly compliment these soft and feminine fashion trendsmarking this new season. One thing was very clear, start growing out your bobs because long hair is in.
HERE ARE SOME OF OUR FAVORITE LOOKS FROM THE SPRING 2015 FASHION SHOWS. 1. BARELY THERE WAVES AND BRAIDS Long Flirty hair compliments the Delicate floral prints that we saw in Marchesa, Sonia Rykiel, and Valentino (pictured).
2. HAIR ACCESSORIES Designers showed off their collection by also designing accessories for the hair. We saw headbands as ornate and sparkling as necklaces in the Botega Vaneta collection (pictured) and bracelet style accessories for a bun or ponytail in the Lavin, Celine and Dolce and Gabbana Fashions Shows.

As a celebrity hair stylist, the question that I hear the most is how can I get my hair to look like a professional blow out at home? It seems impossible after the hairstylists magic touch but the truth is ladies, you can with the right product, tools, and patience. Of course it may take you a little longer than your "mane stylist" but with these few steps your hair will be on its way to bouncy voluminous utopia.

After you have cleansed your hair, you will want to towel dry the excess moisture out of the hair. Brush through the hair to relieve any tangles. Apply heat protectant to the damp hair. My favorite is Oribe Supershine Light creme. It is light weight and also very moisturizing. Work this through the mid to ends of hair. Next use a volume spray at the roots, this will help give a nice lift that will last throughout the day. After product is applied, start to rough dry the hair using the blowdryer with nozzle and your hand. You want to remove about 80 percent of the moisture from the hair and use your hand to lift up at the root as you rough dry for extra body. once 80 percent of moisture has been removed, clip your hair up leaving a 2 x 2 inch section down on the side. Round brush this section starting underneath the hair till the top is dry then flip the round brush to top of the section to ensure that the whole section is 100 percent dry. Insider Tip: Always keep the nozzle pointing down the hair shaft towards the end of hair. Continue this till both sides of the head are dry. For added volume, in each individual section, Leave the hair around the round brush for 20-30 seconds to cool before moving on to next section.

Part your hair down the back to split into two sections. Then split these into smaller subsections, directing the hair to the side - round brushing each subsection.
Once the hair is completely dry, take a horse shoe section in the crown and over direct to the front round brushing back to the crown. Let the round brush cool for 20 seconds and remove.
Give your hair a good toss and Spray with Oribe Superfine Hairspray to complete your bouncy voluminous hair. Insider Tip: To take this look into nighttime mode, give your crown a good backcombing and smooth out with a Mason Pearson brush. You'll be on your way from day diva to night goddess in no time.

For eyes, I love a cream or liquid shadow, applied to the entire lid and blending up and out. Keep it sheer and build for intensity to taste. One of my favorite colors for spring is light green. Cosmetic companies are doing various shades from mint to sea foam to bright tourquiose and jade.

I love Giorgio Armani Eye Tint in Jade ($38 www. giorgioarmanibeauty-usa. com) - it’s a sheer, yet buildable, liquid, easy to apply and provides a beautiful pop of color on almost all complexions. Keep the rest of the face simple and neutral to avoid the look going clownish.
A simple way to experiment with pops of color is with a cheek and lip tints. I love these with a little tinted moisturizer or cc cream with a little mascara. They can be used as the perfect make up bridge on those days when you don't want to go through the whole make up routine but want to look fresh and polished. My new favorite is Dior Cheek and Lip Glow ($37 www.sephora.com) It comes in one universally flattering shade. And while we're talking cheeks, trade in your old blush for something bright and fresh like Yves Saint Laurent Blush Volupte in Baby Doll. ($47 www. yslbeautyus.com) Start with a sheer application concentrated on the apple of your cheek but be careful to blend the color up - this is not a contour color. Avoid the underside of the cheekbone.

As a make up artist, I always look forward to fall and spring, each brings about a new feeling in beauty, colors and textures deepen or lighten and with the onset of spring cosmetic companies are practically blooming with gorgeous color and luminous texture. Of course this can be scary as we move forward out our somber fall and winter neutrals and smokiness so I’d like to show you easy, “toe-dips” into spring beauty’s new brights and how to wear them in a way that gentle enough even for the most trepidatious.
Another fun way to introduce color is with swipe of colored liner across the lash line. It’s a fun and flirty treatment that really draws attention to the eye and because there’s so little product actually on the eye, don’t be afraid to go bolder in shade intensity. Another great (easy) way to add a color pop is with nail color. If the pale greens I mentioned earlier just seem too extreme to try on the face, Chanel Le Vernis in Paradisio ($27 www.chanel. com) on nails is fun way to wear a pale green.

Modeliste celebrates this beautiful style icon and was privileged to chat with her on what is oh so chic and vibrant for Spring hair color styles.
M: WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR INSPIRATION FROM? There is so much inspiration in magazines, fashion and everyday life. In terms of inspiration advice for my clients, one thing I always recommend to my clients is that they tear out page in magazines or pictures they are drawn and come in with that as a point of reference for their desired look.
M: WHAT ARE YOU MOST EXCITED FOR WITH COLOR TRENDS IN 2015? With redheads, it’s so important to incorporate dimension into the hair. We’ll see this idea enhanced in a big way in 2015 with tones like Emma Stone’s vivacious red. To
maintain the vibrancy, ask your colorist for Redken’s new Carmin'R, which launched in salons in January. One type of flower in a beautiful vase, or a bowl of all one fruit, conveys a feeling of sophisticated ease, as well as keeping it easy to do! Have fun and pump up the color in the Spring. It’s a time of new beginnings, and a great time to bring something fresh into your home. Sometimes a simple tuck of your shirt or cuff in your jeans will enhance your look for your body type. Take the extra time to smooth out your tucks as well as pulling your tuck to the back to slim out your midsection. A cuff to your sleeve will enhance your arms and a tuck to your favorite denim will sometime help lengthen you to make you look taller.

Something I always enjoy is layering my clothing. I always love to throw on a jacket or sweater to enhance a look. You can even layer several rings or necklaces to give the look a different vibe.

Basics always win, Don't be afraid to keep a look strong and clean with The Minimalist approach. I always love a plain tee with jeans, simple is always effective.
Invest in shoes that can go with several looks. People always tend to stare at your feet, make sure you have some shoes that can show off your #SHOEGAME. My favorites are sleek black boot, a pair of Nike's, or detailed dress shoe. Some things that can amp your shoe game is shoe accessory, find some chains, straps, and cool laces to pick up a look.
