How did you start your career as a singer, actress and dancer? My first job “in the business” was as a model at the age of 4, and then I was in my first movie at the age of 6. Music was always my biggest passion however and I transitioned to music as my primary focus around the age of 15.

Where do you draw your inspiration from when writing your music?

The weather, my mood, interpersonal relationships, twitter, movies, the zeitgeist, sex, heartbreak.

From a creativity standpoint, what would you say is most important as an artist?

Trust in yourself and your own instincts.

Who would you say was your role model growing up?

Janet Jackson and Britney Spears.

What message would you like to say to your fans?

Thank you for having such great taste and for not relying on chart position or mainstream approval to validate your support of me.

What's something your followers may not know about you?

I can be pretty guarded with my emotions— I find it much easier to express my feelings through art than by talking.

How would you describe your personal style?

I love to use my style to play into different parts of my personality. I think of it as another dimension of my storytelling or my performance. Because of that, my style changes a lot depending on what I am trying to express that day.

What's the most over-worn item in your wardrobe?

Definitely my hoodies!

What would you consider to be your uniform?

A sweatsuit with a big leather trench, some Nike dunks, white socks, silver jewelry and black shades.

What would you say is your beauty philosophy?

When you feel the most comfortable, you will look your best.

What is a beauty product that you don't go a day without wearing?

Moisturizer

Favorite lip color? A soft brown

Go-to beauty look at this very moment?

Clean skin. I want to look like I just got out of a facial and I smell like lavender at all times.

What would you tell other performers navigating fame?

Don’t get caught up in the numbers game. Art is not meant to be created like a product. Continue to take risks and follow your gut.

How would you describe the overall concept of IBE?

Invisible Bead Extensions was created to solve issues in the hair extension industry to provide safe and healthy installs for clients with advanced education and mentoring for the stylists confidence. What started as an education program has turned into a worldwide network of like minded stylists all with one thing in common: safe and luxurious hair extensions for their clients.

What makes the line so unique in the industry?

ONE was created for the stylist AND client in mind. While many micro wefts have been created for stylist ease, we found through research that these wefts were causing issues for clients due to weight. ONE was created for the ease of the client to be able to air dry and not worry about the long term havoc that moisture can ensue on handtied wefts. And it was created for the stylist to have unlimited options for color placement, weight distribution and ease of customization without any sacrifices to the health of the install. We also have a beautiful texture option which includes a wave that is natural by origin and will allow all clients to air dry their natural wave with this texture for the most effortless looks.

Can you tell us about how and why you created the line?

ONE by IBE® was created out of a need for a sustainable solution for clients who live in humid climates and have active lifestyles. The IBE® method is safe for all hair types, but what we found is that the hand tied wefts were not always the best option for all clients and lifestyles. Therein birthed the concept to create a line that is both durable and lightweight for the client and stylist alike.

Where did you draw your inspiration from when creating this new and innovative line of extensions?

Our community of stylists is unparalleled. We have an internal communication platform for all certified stylists in our Boost program to be able to communicate any and everything related to installs with IBE®. In this community we found stylists desperate for another solution to customizing placement as well as giving their clients a weft option that would be durable for all lifestyles and activities. Not only did we need to create a solution, but we wanted it to be as easy as possible for our stylists to mix and match our hand tied and micro weft options, so we made all of our weft collections alike in length, width and weight so there is no more guesswork needed creating customized looks.

What are the benefits of IBE extensions compared to other extensions?

The benefits of IBE® versus other methods, well the list is long! But to keep it simple, we pride ourselves on the integrity of our methodology, never cutting important corners for the sake of time, and maintaining excellence at what we teach with our education. The method was and is designed to offer the safest installations possible. What starts with our method however, does not end there. Our community of stylists support each other in various ways and have found deep long lasting relationships in the name of IBE®.

What goes into the extensive training your stylists receive?

Stylists in our education program have access to 20 video modules that go deep into training every aspect of a healthy install. Included with your certification videos is a manual to guide you along as well as one of our most important assets: a mentor. You will have access to our highly trained mentors with vast experience on our method and educating you so you feel proficient in our methodology. Stylists also receive a state of the art tool kit with everything they need to start installing the method. We include color rings for our hair lines and provide the stylists with the best of best in extension kits.

Haley Haxton is a bicoastal stylist working in Sarasota, FL and Los Angeles, California specializing in Invisible Bead Extensions. Realizing that Invisible Bead Extensions truly was the shift of the industry back in 2019, she went full throttle and is now a Platform Artist, Color Educator and Social Media lead where she coaches on the latest hair trends. You may have seen her extension and color work featured in music videos, magazines and at the Grammys. She prides herself in the transformation of the women in her chair all while maintaining their hair health.

With their certification, we also include a full day of hands-on training at our Education Center in St George UT. After a stylist receives their virtual certification, they are invited to schedule a hands-on training where they can continue their training and get the corrections and critiques they may need in person. We understand the need for both in person training and mentoring when it comes to truly learning the art of extensions.

How are IBE extensions installed? That’s proprietary and you’ll have to apply to know how! Haha!

How long do the extensions last?

The answer to that question is entirely dependent on how the client will take care of them at home! The average lifespan of wefts are 6-12 months.

What is the best way to care for the extensions?

The best way to care for our extensions is to listen to your service provider! They will guide you on all the proper at home care guidelines. To set you up for success would be to use all Goldie Locks® Hair care and supplements to ensure a healthy and happy scalp. We would also suggest to make sure you are washing and brushing thoroughly to make sure there are no tangles or matting. Lastly, make sure your extensions are hydrated to ensure the longevity of your hair care.

How would you describe the line in 3 words?

Timeless (organic design), Heirloom (quality), One-of-a-kind (noble, natural, and sustainably sourced materials)

What inspired you to create the line?

The cultural and technical richness of the Andean culture and a drive to connect two complementary worlds.

We are inspired by people and time. Bringing forth luxurious yet stunningly simple products paying great attention to detail while utilizing crisp natural fabrics. Our style resides at the intersection of ancient tradition, technique, and design.

What makes your products so unique and innovative?

That’s a great question. Generally, we think of innovation as moving forward and pushing new, unknown frontiers.

In the case of ETNICO, innovation is looking back to search for cultural and artistic value that may have been lost or forgotten along the way in modern life.

ETNICO is a social enterprise focused on collaborating with highly skilled artisans following ancient techniques in the Andean region of South America, to promote and preserve artistic traditions. Connecting talented local artists and their culture with the global community.

At ETNICO, we believe that utilizing sustainable and socially responsible practices is great innovation. Treating everyone involved with respect, always improving standards of living while preserving grassroot traditions.

Can you tell us more about how ETNICO is a social enterprise collaborating with ancient weavers in the South Andes mountains?

We trade directly with the artisans, (without any middleman) so the profits go directly to them, their families, and their small communities.

In addition to supporting our artisans with the artistic work, ETNICO addresses community needs through a simple model of reinvesting profits into community-based projects and social initiatives that are self-identified and determined by the communities we work with.

These projects address a wide range of environmental, health, social and economic issues. Including gender equality/parity, trade and craftsmanship workshops, and language and critical literacy programs while celebrating and promoting local tradition.

Currently we work with 23 artisans at full time capacity across the entire South Central Andean Region covering all product lines. Most importantly, in 2022 we fulfilled our goal to help preserve this ancient art by reallocating more than $35,000 directly into artisans' communities in all 3 countries.

How did this collaboration originate?

ETNICO came about in 2021 during the COVID 19 pandemic as a way to help artisans get back to some kind of normalcy. Most countries in Latin America had a long quarantine. In the case of Argentina there was a very strict quarantine for 18 months forcing people to stay home and therefore not able to earn their living.

With this context Juan Martin, who is my partner (and brother in-law) and has been trading ancient textiles for more than two decades, called me in May 2021 to see if I could help with a small purchase to get some artisans working. My obvious answer was Yes BUT, also got me thinking: what’s going to happen next month and the one after that? I thought this could be just the beginning.

I have always been involved in the technology industry. Starting as a technician apprentice in my college student days, to my most recent position as Sr. Vice President at a multinational company. At the time of the call in May, with a pandemic that didn’t seem to slow down ETNICO not only seemed impossible but also, after a 25-year career, it was a most needed change for me personally. With this challenging context and the will to provide a helping hand we started with the local design community in 2021, finally making our launch to market in February of last year.

Why is this of such great importance?

Simply put we are helping people – on one end helping the artisans expose their beautiful hidden, and in many cases dangerously forgotten art and on the other a complex, fast paced and fascinating modern world in search for hidden treasures with a story.

The communities of artisans are so remote and “untouched” by modern life that they are completely off the grid (hundreds of kilometers from the closest highway). With no electric power (or cellular reception) the artisans work the yarn and loom outside of their homes taking advantage of daylight hours.

On the other hand, we have a community of people that truly appreciate art and are always in search of new products with a powerful and meaningful story.

ETNICO is the bridge connecting these two complementary worlds.

Where do you draw your inspiration from when designing the pieces?

From everything I can get my hands on (utilizing every available sense in my body). Life is a beautiful thing, exploring it with mindfulness is how I try to do my work, not only with ETNICO but also in my personal life - with my family, friends and the environment in general.

Using nature as the basis for design while also being rooted in function – that is with a purpose. Everything in nature has a purpose and its shape is established by function, as a result bringing forth its beauty and complexity. To me a harmonious design brings balance between the natural and manmade worlds.

And finally, always must have a natural throw handy for the spring evenings. Our collection of throws is made of organic virgin llama wool, utilizing long, super-fine gauge fibers woven into an extremely soft finished product. Perfect for wrapping around the body or layering under a coat.

Any upcoming product launches you can tell us about?

As we dive deeper into the Andean culture, we are constantly uncovering wonderful new designs and products used by these communities for thousands of years.

We are working on three new lines of pillows; new area rugs and bedding lines redefining the concept of organic design.

Expecting to complete pre-production and launch them by April.

Tell us about the overall concept of the line.

Our product offering has evolved significantly throughout our 20-year history - we started out in 2003 selling a unique, lightweight hammock with a mission to help people relax more, to spread happiness, and to give back by planting trees for every sale. In the U.S. especially, almost everything we buy these days is machine-made and mass-produced, so it’s really meaningful for us to be able to support those traditions of weaving, creativity, and small batch production - all while getting to make really cool, heirloom products that bring you happiness every time you use them.

Where do you draw your inspiration from when designing the pieces?

We get our inspiration from all the things we love - our time spent traveling, exploring nature, late nights with friends, and even from the music we listen to. We’re based in Colorado, which means we’re lucky to be constantly surrounded by beauty and epic landscapes that keep us inspired. We’re also passionate about travel and visiting new places to find fresh ideas. Seeing live music is also one of our favorite pastimes and has directly or indirectly inspired so many of our designs and product ideas.

What are your ultimate Spring season

Must-Haves from the line?

Spring is a perfect time to take our handwoven throw blankets out for a picnic in the park, or for getting cozy around the backyard firepit. Our line of towels are also perfect for a spring refresh in your bathroom, and also for travel, yoga, beach days, and more. And our handwoven robes are a great way to welcome in those sunny spring days sipping coffee by the window, or bringing along on an upcoming trip to use as a beach wrap or for lounging around your AirBnB or hotel.

Any upcoming product launches you can tell us about?

2023 is our 20th year in business and it’s already shaping up to be our biggest year of product launches ever. In addition to towels and robes, we just launched our new line of Everyday Fanny Packs (which convert to a crossbody shoulder sling) and expanded our cozy sock collection with some fun new designs. We’ve also got a growing number of new styles and colorways in the works to expand our current lines - new blankets, towels, robes, mugs, hats, and more are all making their way from dream to reality soon. And we’ve also got a few more surprises lined up that we can’t share yet!

I mostly try to design the pieces I would like to wear right now! I’m very much of a ‘buy now wear now girl’. But I also get inspired by women I admire for their style: actresses, singers, socialites, influencers.

We’re also all about riding boots and maryjane shoes, chasseur jackets, fancy silk or sequins tops.

What are your top must-haves from your latest collections ?

Our boyfriend blazers like Le Bonaparte and Le Richelieu are still so stylish and easy to match with everything. We typically reissue them in limited editions, made from luxury upcycled fabrics that we source from couture houses here in Paris.

Our Le Claude blouse is also so versatile and unique, we totally cherish this pattern.

How would you describe « French Girl Fashion?

It’s the art of wearing clothes as timeless as ultra trendy. From the perfectly tailored black blazer to the marinière top, the pieces of the Parisian girl are chic and elegant. They are perfectly cut, in high-end materials and with details that make all the difference.

If Rosaé Paris had a theme song, what would it be ?

As there are several Rosaé girls, there would be several Rosaé songs, all sang by Vanessa Paradis: La Seine, Sunday Mondays, Divinydille, and Dis Lui toi que je t’aime.

And it didn’t take long for others to follow in their footsteps in weekend 2. Our bet is that it’ll carry over strongly into this year as well. The return of 90s grunge has brought with it a newfound love for oversized everything – not that loose, comfortable clothing is anything new. The key to nailing this trend is in the details. Opt for high-end basics like graphic tees in neutral colors and layer classic-fitted leather or denim jackets over top. Always seeking fresh collections, dashing to the dazzling new vanguard of the catwalks for fashion month across New York, London, Milan, and Paris, dressing the models walking the runways in buzzed-about shows, styling splashy billboard campaigns and creating iconic looks for award season’s red carpets- this is only part of celebrity stylist Yasi Guilani’s day-to-day job. Ahead, get to know one of fashion’s brightest stars– one of the most celebrated stylists in the industry and the stylist of this month’s cover shoot with Tinashe.

Tell us about your journey to become such a renowned Stylist?

From a very young age I knew the fashion industry was for me and have always made it my goal to make my own mark in it. For the longest time I thought I wanted to be a fashion designer. I learned how to sew when I was 7 and even went to college for Fashion Design but quickly learned that putting outfits together brought me more joy than creating the actual garments. After graduating, I started to assist stylist, Marjan Malakpour, which made me fall even more in love with the industry and made me realize that this is what I was meant to do. Quickly after assisting, I connected with my now client Tinashe and we've been able to collaborate together and push the boundaries of fashion.

Did you always love fashion?

For as long as I could remember, I've always loved fashion. From a young age, my parents have supported my creativity and would let me pick out my own outfits despite how unpredictable they were. Since then, I have consistently expressed myself through my wardrobe.

How would you describe your styling aesthetic?

I would describe my styling aesthetic as edgy yet chic. I like to bring in male silhouettes while still embodying the sexiness of the female body. Accessories are also a huge part of my aesthetic. To me, adding an assortment of stacked necklaces, rings, etc. just completes the look.

What are the most important aspects of your career?

The most important aspect of my career is that I am given the opportunity to empower my clients through their wardrobe. I get to work hand in hand with them to bring their visions to life while still having my own creative freedom.

Where do you draw your inspiration from when pulling for Cover shoots?

When pulling for cover shoots, I draw inspiration from runways and editorials from the early 90's. To me, everything done in that era was effortless and chic with the focus on embracing natural beauty despite the ever changing trends.

Can you tell us about some of your favorite looks from our shoot with Tinashe?

This question is kind of a difficult one because I sincerely loved every look from the shoot with Tinashe but, if I had to pick one I'd say my favorite look was the Maison Met sheer cape. Honestly, everything looks good on her but this specific look really stood out to me. My vision for this look was to fully embody her natural beauty as well as her feminine energy and I feel like we were able to do exactly that. I added a clear statement earring and a few statement rings but nothing more.

What are the biggest trends of Spring 2023?

The biggest trends that we'll be seeing in Spring of 2023 are denim on denim, bold colors, statement earrings, low rise bottoms, and maxi skirts. Think boho chic.

What are the 5 staple pieces every girl should have in her closet?

Every girl should have an oversized blazer, a clean black sweatsuit, a pair of their favorite denim jeans, a classic pump, and a white cut off tank top in their closet.

If you could raid anyone's closet, who would it be?

If I could raid anyone's closet it would 100% be Rihanna's.

My all time style icon is Cher.

When did you begin your career as an influencer/model?

I actually started to grow my Instagram a lot earlier than most people would probably think. I started in high school, nearly a decade ago and I used to get dressed up and take photos in my backyard. I didn’t start monetizing my social media until years later after I went on Love Island USA in 2020. I was fortunate that the show gave me a platform to pursue lifestyle content creation more full time.

Where was your favorite place you visited in Belize?

Experiencing Belize for the first time was so incredible. It’s difficult to choose just one place, but I think that our time in Hopkins was my favorite. I like to make it a priority when I travel to immerse myself in the culture and learn more about the history of where I’m visiting, and on the final two days of the trip in Hopkins we did just that. Our local photographer/tour guide/comedian/ bird enthusiast Dirk, drove us all throughout the town of Hopkins, sharing stories and anecdotes only a local would know. We laughed and learned so much about Belize through our time in Hopkins thanks to Dirk and the Belize Tourism Bureau.

City getaway or tropical getaway?

That is a tough decision…with the magazine I’ve only traveled to tropical destinations but I LOVE experiencing a new city. Honestly I’ll take any opportunity to see somewhere new. Call me and I’m there!

Do you have any exciting upcoming projects that you can share with our readers?

In January 2022 I launched my first collection of merchandise for my brand, “Out Of His League,” and after lots of trial and error and hundreds of orders worldwide, we’ve decided to make some big changes! Stay tuned. Spring 2023!

What is your favorite thing about your career?

The opportunity to meet so many different types of people! I realize how lucky I am to

have had the experiences that I’ve had and through those meet these people that I never would have met before.

What is something about yourself most people would be surprised by?

That I am camera shy… seriously! I get so nervous when I have my photo taken.

Which products are you loving this season to stay hydrated?

Lip balm and lotion are the most important parts of my skincare routine year round. How do you balance your work life and your personal life?

I’m still trying to figure that out! I think sometimes I tend to lean towards one extreme or another. Some days I can’t put down work, and other days I can’t pick up my phone. The thing about influencing is that unless you’re under contract with a brand, your schedule is almost entirely up to you. It sounds ideal, and in a lot of ways it is, but it also means that you have to hold yourself accountable for getting your work done. Lately I’ve been focused on creating more structure to my days and carving out time for both work and play.

Where is your dream destination to visit? Australia is definitely on my bucket list!

What is your favorite makeup trend right now?

Natural lashes! Eyelash extensions were so damaging (and painful) for my eyes and applying strip lashes has always been difficult for me, so embracing my natural lashes has been a blessing.

Are you an introvert or an extrovert?

I would consider myself an extroverted introvert. When I’m at an event or hosting I am mingling and talking to everyone, but the rest of the time I tend to keep to myself. That’s why I am so thankful for my friends and family, because they understand how I operate and they know that just because I value my “me time” doesn’t mean I love them any less!

What makes you feel confident? When I stay on top of my self care routine, including fresh nails, fresh hair, and a fresh tan.

The best advice you can give someone who wants to pursue a modeling/ content creator career? Remember your reasons for getting into this business. It’s never going to be easy, and at times you’re going to feel like giving up, so you have to be able to remind yourself why you got started in the first place.

What would you like to say to your fans/followers?

Words cannot express how much my fans and followers mean to me. Their unconditional support has given me strength during some of my toughest times. I truly appreciate how they have my back, because I always have theirs!

When did you begin your career as an influencer/model?

I began my career as a model right before Covid-19 hit so it was a very strange introduction to the industry as most castings were self tape or on zoom! I started out visiting agencies in LA & London. Now I am living in NYC modeling full time.

Where was your favorite place you visited in Belize?

The Maya King Waterfall was breathtaking. It was as if the water itself had a life of its own. I genuinely felt like a new human being after swimming in the water.

Meeting new people, traveling the world and being surrounded by creative minds!

I am amazed at the intricate nature of our world and love to learn about ancient structures, neurology, biology, and astronomy.

I love pretty much every vegetable, but I hate 99.9% of fruit.

How do you balance your work life and your personal life?

It can be difficult finding a balance since a lot of work that I do is either on my phone or at home. However, I like to unwind by shutting off of my phone and doing yoga or journaling.

Where is your dream destination to visit? Italy or Spain. Hopefully I’ll get to visit there this year!

What is your favorite makeup trend right now?

Liquid blush! Specifically the one from Rare Beauty.

Are you an introvert or an extrovert?

Definitely a mixture of both. I can pretty much get along and talk with anyone but, by the end of the day, my social battery runs out and I just want to be alone in bed.

What makes you feel confident? Going to the gym, eating healthy and surrounding myself with positive people boosts my confidence.

The best advice you can give someone who wants to pursue a modeling/content creator career?

If you truly want something and work towards it everyday, you will achieve what you set your mind to. Rejection is inevitable, but don’t let it discourage you. Be persistent and never go against your morals and values.

What would you like to say to your fans/ followers?

I’m not sure that I have fans, but to the people who support me, thank you so much. I am forever grateful for your positivity and support!

When did you begin your career as an influencer/model?

I started my career when I was 17. I was scouted in Georgia coming from dual island Jamaica.

Where was your favorite place you visited in Belize?

San Pedro took my breath away figuratively and literally. There was a moment I forgot how to swim while I was taking in the beauty and wildlife of the island.

City getaway or tropical getaway?

I mean seeing as though I was conceived on an island, I’d say tropical getaway for sure, but I never close myself off to new locations.

Do you have any exciting upcoming projects that you can share with our readers?

Yes, I’m getting ready to collaborate with a swim brand and film a commercial which I can’t talk about yet.

What is your favorite thing about your career?

I love that it changed and I love adapting to new concepts and being a model allows that. My career has put me in a place where I can shoot different facets of myself through movement on camera. It’s like silent acting in a way.

What is something about yourself most people would be surprised by?

That I can cut a coconut haha! And probably that I could survive on any island alone thanks to my parents.

I try to limit my screen time and be present by giving myself an allotted time slot to complete things.

Don’t take rejection personally and have a strong sense of self-worth going in. Don’t lower yourself for anything or anyone.

What would you like to say to your fans/ followers?

My supporters are mostly female so I feel really seen for me and who I truly am rather than being objectified.

When did you begin your career as an influencer/model?

My career as an influencer started when I was in 9th grade. I posted a selfie that was reposted by another page with a large amount of followers, and I gained a lot of followers from that. So from that point I stayed consistent in posting everyday and my Instagram slowly grew. I had my first modeling job when I was 16. Modeling has always been something I have done on the side of social media, but I love it. It is something that I would love to do more of.

What was the highlight of your trip with Modeliste?

The trip to Tulum was amazing! It was my very first time in Mexico and that was first of all an amazing experience. I’m so glad I got to go on a trip and to meet so many new, sweet and inspiring people. It’s so hard to pick a highlight of the trip because the whole thing was incredible! Exploring the cenotes, tequila tasting and of course the amazing food! I enjoyed every second of all of it!

City getaway or tropical getaway?

It’s a very tough question because I love both so much. I would probably choose tropical trips because I live in a very busy city at the moment. I love warm tropical places and it's always amazing to get some sunshine and chill time at the beach.

Do you have any exciting upcoming projects that you can share with our readers?

I have a few upcoming projects that I’m working on but I can’t share the details yet, unfortunately!

3 items you cannot leave your house without?

Lip balm, a digital camera and my lucky ring (which I made myself. I never leave without it as I think it brings me luck!)

What is something about yourself most people would be surprised by?

I used to write songs, sing and play the drums when I was little. My dream was to be a singer. I was also obsessed with Michael

Jackson and I would wear a hat that looked just like his to school everyday for a whole year in Middle-school.

When did you begin your career as an influencer/model?

I started my career as a model pretty young. I was scouted at a Target when I was in middle school. I was modeling on and off throughout high school and then was bitten by a nurse shark my freshman year of college. The shark bite went viral resulting in thousands of followers. I was thrown into the influencing world and have never looked back.

What was the highlight of your trip with Modeliste?

My favorite part of the trip was definitely all the new lifelong friends I made. I loved being able to connect with people who all have similar passions, are so creative and talented, and I loved learning from them. I am so happy and grateful I was invited on the getaway, thank you so much Modeliste!

City getaway or tropical getaway?

For sure a tropical getaway. Being born in Southern California, my happy place is the ocean/beach. I feel most at peace and relaxed when I am near the water.

Do you have any exciting upcoming projects that you can share with our readers?

I am currently working on a few new projects in the fashion/lifestyle space which will be launching in the next few months and a big project that will be released by the end of the year. Stay tuned :)

3 items you cannot leave your house without?

1. Elta MD UV Clear SPF 46 Tinted Face Sunscreen - living in Miami, sunscreen is a must. I love this face sunscreen. It has a super smooth texture and there is a tinted version that adds a little coverage. I have bottles of this everywhere!

2. Aquaphor Lip Repair - I am not a huge makeup girl but always have to have my lips moisturized.

3. BKR Water bottle - always being on the go, I rarely get a chance to chill and always forget to drink water. I absolutely love this water bottle. It's so aesthetically pleasing and the glass bottle makes drinking water way more enjoyable.

What is something about yourself most people would be surprised by? Although my social media doesn’t really show it, people who know me say I am really funny and I am super easy to make fun of because I'm so extra sometimes it’s comical. Likewise, I’m very energetic, and very easy to talk to. I have super open ears and I am always open to listen!

Which products are you loving this season to stay hydrated?

For this season, I have been obsessed with Laneige Lip Mask to keep my lips smooth. For my face I'm loving the Drunk Elephant Marula Facial Oil and La Mer Creme De La Mer as a moisturizer.

How do you balance your work life and your personal life?

I am still figuring out the perfect work life balance. Being your own boss is a challenge. You have to be extremely disciplined and always keep your goals in sight. It is extremely easy to get distracted when you work for yourself. I have an amazing assistant who keeps me on track and helps me tremendously with all of my tasks. I am currently building a team and support system which enables me to delegate tasks, especially working on larger projects. I have picked a few things that are non negotiable in my personal life and ensure that I do not let work get in the way of those people and things.

Girls night in or Girls night out?

Ahhh such a hard question. Really depends on the night. I love going out with my girl friends but also have become such a homebody recently. Living in Miami, the perfect girls day is taking the boat out and spending the day drinking rose, swimming, and dancing on the boat.

What is your favorite makeup trend right now?

My favorite makeup trend right now is the super natural look. I am loving the more blush + sun kissed cheeks and highlighter. I also have been doing the no mascara trend and love how natural and fresh faced it makes me look. So effortless!

Who is someone that inspires you?

My family and friends inspire me constantly. I’m very fortunate that I have many people in my life who are always reminding me what dedication, commitment, and a great work ethic looks like. I am endlessly inspired by

nature, travel, music, adventure, and good vibes which fuels my creativity and the content I create!

What makes you feel confident?

Fashion has always been a way for me to express myself, my creativity, and definitely makes me feel confident. There is no better feeling than wearing a super cute outfit and slaying. On the other hand, confidence definitely comes from within and is something I am still working on. It is extremely hard to be confident in this industry where you are always comparing yourself to others. I have learned that in order to succeed, you have to stop caring what others think and know that you are unique and deserve the opportunities. Fitness also plays a big role in my confidence. I love Pilates as it truly has transformed my body.

The best advice you can give someone who wants to pursue a modeling/content creator career?

The best advice I can give is be yourself. No one is you and that truly is your biggest strength. Embrace your quirks and uniqueness. Additionally, this industry is harsh and you will hear a lot of no’s. Don’t let rejection stop you from pursuing your passion and living your dreams.

When did you begin your career as an influencer/model?

I started in the world of modeling at about the age of 13, before all the platforms today existed with as much visibility as TikTok, Instagram, among others. I began to realize the importance of having your own platform. What I liked the most is that you can use social media to have a voice and post what really matters to you. It's something magical, I started using TikTok at first and then Instagram as my main sharing platforms and I loved having creative control showing myself as I am. Now content creation is my main full-time job and I am passionate about it. I'm TikTok obsessed. I started posting on TikTok long before the pandemic and when we were all locked up I was posting full varied content on my other platforms like Instagram (Makeup tutorials, sports routine, sharing healthy food recipes, videos of looks for different occasions without neglecting My Communications and Marketing career. I also started preparing a project for my virtual course (for content generators) and continue with the development of my personal brand Between US.

What was the highlight of your trip with Modeliste?

Actually there are many things, it is the sixth time I have traveled with them and I think this shows how happy I feel to always collaborate with them. The team is incredible.

City getaway or tropical getaway?

I consider myself to be a girl who loves both. I could live on the beach during the day and spend the night in a city.

Do you have any exciting upcoming projects that you can share with our readers?

I am one of those people who is always thinking about new projects and setting new goals. I consider that both success and failure add up and fill us with life experiences. For now, I am shooting a movie that has me very excited. I’m also looking forward to the launch of VOL II of my online course for content creators, since the first one was a success. I am super grateful for all the trust of my community for the acceptance I received. On the other hand, and no less important, is to continue expanding

personal brand Between US. I love knowing that they love each collection as much as I do and it's nice to know that I can reach many people with my pieces in different countries.

Sunscreen, lip moisturizer and my cell phone.

What is something about yourself most people would be surprised by?

The many times that I fell and got back up. We are used to living from what we see on the networks, but not from behind and in reality. We are human beings with feelings, we laugh, we cry and we have emotions just like anyone else.

Which products are you loving this season to stay hydrated? A good body moisturizer and facial oil.

How do you balance your work life and your personal life?

At first it was difficult, between the university, my entrepreneurship, my recordings, my life as an influencer, I ended up super exhausted. But after the pandemic I learned to enjoy every moment and value the simple things that can make us happy. I try to enjoy myself to the fullest and I always try to organize myself. I am also convinced that when you do what you are passionate about you do not really work.

What is your favorite makeup trend right now?

Lip liner to define your lips and eyebrow gel and a mascara.

Who is someone that inspires you? There is a long list, but I cannot start this list without my mother. She is the definition of resilience and is behind all the creativity and the content I create!

What makes you feel confident? Trusting myself.

The best advice you can give someone who wants to pursue a modeling/content creator career?

Trust yourself. If you don't trust yourself, it's hard for people to trust you. Be authentic, show yourself as you are and share what you really like.

What would you like to say to your fans/ followers?

Self love, fight for their dreams, only you have the power to build your future. A phrase that my mother always said to me is: “We are architects of our own destiny and that the sky's the limit.”

When did you begin your career as an influencer/model?

I began my modeling career in 2013 when I moved to NYC from Georgia and signed with my first modeling agency. It was a bold move because my mother expected me back home for college in a few weeks, but I had other plans.

What was the highlight of your trip with Modeliste?

The highlight of this Modeliste trip was rappelling into the underground cenote! I'm still surprised that I was brave enough to do it considering my fear of heights. Dangling from a rope in the middle of an underwater freshwater cavern is an experience I'll never forget. It was stunning!

Do you have any exciting upcoming projects that you can share with our readers?

I am releasing my first single called Flowers next month (bday month) and am so excited to start this new chapter in my life and career. I hope you all listen, follow and love my art and if you feel compelled to share it with your friends as a birthday gift to me I thank you in advance.

While on our Modeliste trip I realized how important these 3 things are to me. I never packed my bag for the day without my water, Bluetooth speaker to create incredible vibes and handy dandy tripod to make sure I didn't miss a moment to capture a quick TikTok.

What is something about yourself most people would be surprised by?

I am a pretty good roller skater. I have been skating since I was 8 years old and it's one of my favorite hobbies. The skating rink allows me to forget all my worries and just glide.

Which products are you loving this season to stay hydrated?

The Image skincare lip enhancement is currently in my pocket because I literally cannot leave the house without it. It keeps my lips hydrated and supple all day! I always keep a tube of Weleda Skin food by my bedside to rehydrate my hands overnight and it works wonders.

How do you balance your work life and your personal life?

I wear a few different work hats as a model, artist, entrepreneur, and influencer so work and personal life are forced to become one. I live across the country from my family so I do my best to schedule facetimes with them to stay close. Luckily many of my friends are creatives as well so we plan content days where we can catch up, grab a bite, and even workout together.

Girls night in or Girls night out?

Girls night in! I love an adult slumber party where we can laugh, eat junk food and gossip all night like teenagers. Secretly, I am an introvert so any opportunity to stay home in my cozy pjs and pop in a movie I'm in!

What is your favorite makeup trend right now?

Makeup for the body! I love using body glitters and bronzers to add a beautiful ethereal aesthetic to my overall look.

Who is someone that inspires you?

My older sister Nzinga. We often joke that I'm the older sister because I'm generally the more serious and reserved between the two of us but she is fearless and I have always admired that about her. She lights up any room with her infectious personality and beautiful smile and I'm so proud of all she has accomplished unapologetically going after her dreams of being an actress.

What makes you feel confident? Knowing the feeling of being insecure, and realizing nothing positive can come from it. Shrinking serves no one but letting your light shine will subconsciously give permission for others to do the same.

The best advice you can give someone who wants to pursue a modeling/content creator career?

There is only one you! Strongly believe that and play to your strengths while always learning and becoming the best version of yourself everyday. The journey never ends and that's what makes life exciting.
