But now it’s time to look forward, and we have dedicated a large part of this issue to exciting new talent, starting with our cover star Maye Musk. She might have the advantage of being the mother of Entrepreneur Elon Musk– but she has managed to stake her own claim on fame as a model and a world renowned writer and dietitian. Her photographs in the issue, taken at the luxurious Hôtel Plaza Athénée during Paris Fashion Week delightfully capture her youthful playfulness, natural beauty and regal glamour. We wanted her pages to reflect her own taste and style, and in her interview she is open and authentic, sharing her personal life, her struggles as a single mother, and the path she paved for herself and her 3 children. It’s a true story of bravery and empowerment. So welcome to Maye's world!

You truly are living your best life at the moment, having graced the most coveted Cover spot of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Edition, our Modeliste Cover and so many other exciting endeavors. Tell us about this. Does life really get better with age?

It really does feel like life gets better with age. You learn to avoid negative situations that you cannot change, and you also take time for yourself, your family and your dog.

What tips would you give for aging gracefully?

Do not smoke. Eat well. Be polite, considerate, interesting, positive and do things you enjoy. Stay stylish. Cut your hair. Don’t complain.

Where are you from and how has it influenced who you are today?

I was born in Canada, grew up in South Africa, moved back to Canada, and now live in the United States. I had very adventurous parents, who “lived dangerously, carefully.” This made me brave enough to start my careers as a single mother in nine cities and three countries.

If you could give your 20 year self one piece of advice, what would it be? Get out of bad situations quickly, in personal and business situations. I thought I could change people who are evil, but I couldn’t.

Tell us about your role as mother to 3 children and how it has evolved for you from when they were young to where they are at today?

I had three children in three years and three weeks. Like all mothers, this is exhausting. Fortunately, they were really lovely children and were considerate and helpful when I was working from home. They would sit in the front row, doing their homework, when I was modeling in fashion shows. They saw me helping people become healthy and happy, and have chosen to help people too.

Do you think you will ever go to Space? If all my children and grandchildren go to space, I guess I will go too.

What’s one health fact everyone should know?

Plan your meals and snacks. Read my book so that you aren’t fooled by fad diets. Eat food you enjoy.

Tell us about your latest book. Why is writing so important to you?

I didn’t know writing was important to me, or that I had a story of interest. I just dictated my life’s struggles, and how I survived. Many women, and men, relate to my experiences.

How would you describe yourself in three words?

Kind. Energetic. Curious.

As you have shared your many successes as an author, model, and nutritionist on your social media platforms, how do you hope to influence people through your platform today?

I continue to give talks worldwide as my book is published in 100 countries and 30 languages. The feedback I get is that my talks are inspiring. We need more inspiration.

What’s a typical day-to-day routine for you?

I don’t have a typical day, as so many exciting things come up. When home, my dog wakes me up for a walk. I have a cup of coffee and give him treats. Then I have breakfast and check emails, Twitter and Instagram.

How did you begin your career as a dietitian?

As I mentioned in my book, I wanted to study sciences like microbiology and biochemistry. My father said I should have an occupation at the end of my studies, so I chose dietetics. The best decision ever!

What’s a fun fact people would be surprised to know about you?

I don’t know if it’s fun, but I am not naturally lean. I plan my meals and snacks every day to maintain a healthy weight. I have been obese twice in my life, developing a high cholesterol, and pain in my back and knees. It is worth it to eat carefully.

A highlight in your modeling career?

Every day I think I have a highlight in my modeling career, then a new project comes along. Stay tuned…

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I watch French, German or Dutch movies to keep my languages going.

Do you have a favorite book from your collection as an author?

My favorite book is The Code Breaker by Walter Isaacson, about gene editing. As I have two Master of Science degrees, I just love stories about research work, especially by a woman.

Can you tell our readers about Oleada? Where do you gain inspiration for your designs?

I did a bag campaign for Oleada last year. They were so professional and delightful, and I just loved their bags. They then asked me to design my own bags. I worked with the founder of Oleada, Tiffany Zhou, to produce three bags that I needed in my closet. A tote bag, a work bag and an evening bag. I wanted the bags to be practical yet beautiful. If you look at them carefully, you will see many different sections, and zips in the right places. So excited the bags are selling out and they are making more.

Any upcoming projects you can share with our Modeliste Readers?

There are many exciting projects coming up, including my Italian book launch in Milan in January. Most projects I cannot mention until the job is done. With social media, you don’t want to share the secrets until ready.

What’re you looking forward to most this holiday? Any holiday recipes you can share?

I always look forward to seeing my children and grandchildren. As you will read in my book, I’m not a great cook. Fortunately Kimbal and Tosca love preparing holiday meals and Elon and I love to eat their dishes.

If you could "tweet" anything to your fans right now, what would it be?

Well, I will certainly tweet this photoshoot as I’m sure it’s fabulous. Also models around the world will know there is no age limit to our profession.

What was your defining moment as a content creator/social media influencer?

Anytime that I meet someone from my online community in real life is so surreal and a pinch-me moment, EVERY TIME. It is so cool to see our little corner of the Internet translate in person and I am so lucky to have met so many kind and amazing people through it!

How do you hope to influence people through your social media platform?

What can people expect to see when visiting your social media page(s)?

I just want everyone to be entertained and to find a bit of an escape any time that they come to watch one of my YouTube videos. Real life + a bit of material fun + a good laugh is what I hope people get when they find my page!

What do you predict will be the biggest trends of fall/winter?

I’m currently devouring my way through The Watcher on Netflix and am absolutely enamored by the closet of Naomi Watts in it! I’ve decided that it is the only look for me and will be switching up my closet to embody that wardrobe. As for trends, I’m loving the tall boots paired with skirts, big knits and cardigans, blazers, waistcoats, trench coats, an oversized leather jacket, all of it!

Next travel plans?

Listen, the BC weather can be a lot, and the rainy season is upon us and will be here for the next 6 months. Fingers crossed for a sunny break and some vitamin D very soon!

Favorite brands / places to shop?

There are so many brands that I love that it’s so hard to choose! I’m into any brand that does fabulous tailoring and who makes a great piece of knitwear. Some of my current faves are Frankie Shop, Toteme, Nili Lotan, H&M (their premium knits are A+), and I love the buyers at Matches Fashion - they always have the best designer picks!

What's your go-to airport look?

Essentials to pack in a carry on?

I am guilty of wearing a sweatsuit and opting for maximum comfort on planes. However, if I have somewhere to be right off the plane, then I always go for a version of: a relaxed trouser, a white shirt & crewneck over top (because it’s ALWAYS cold on a plane), a pair of white sneakers, and a trench. You can never go wrong with that combo! Carry-on essentials are everything hydrating and travel sized: face cream, hand cream, lip balm, face mist, and a brow gel too! No sloppy brows for this gal!

What was the highlight of your stay with Modeliste at AMATTE?

Amatte was such a FABULOUS and gorgeous hotel and I feel so lucky to have gone there with the Modeliste team! I left feeling so inspired after witnessing such a fun group of talented & creative people doing their thing.

What's a typical work day like for you? The best part of being in the content creation space is that it’s very atypical and no two days are the same! I never know what each day is going to bring and that keeps it so exciting.

What's your everyday make-up routine? Any products you'd recommend for our Modeliste readers?

I love simple & quick everyday makeup. Lately, I’ve been opting for a tinted sunscreen with concealer for the base, a bit of cream bronzer and a cream blush - always a fresh pink to make me look alive - a touch of powder, always a good slicked brow (the elf brow lift is a must for this), and a liner + gloss on the lip. I don’t always wear mascara everyday and it makes washing my makeup off at night SO much easier!

What's something your fans would be surprised to know about you?

It’s been over 9 years online and at this point it feels like my followers know me better than I know myself! But one thing that seems to always surprise people when they meet me in person is that I am *exactly* the same in person as I am online. I’ve always thought that this was funny because I think, well of course, I’m not an actor, but I’ll take it!

Where do you gain inspiration for content? Any tips & tricks you'd like to share for those aspiring to have a career like your own?

This tip is redundant but I can’t stress it enough: if you are sharing & creating content online, BE YOURSELF and BE CONSISTENT! I love finding new creators who are posting amazing content, but always get sad when they stop posting! Keep going and stick with it & show me what’s in your fridge, lol!

What makes you different from other content creators?

I think that that’s a tough question to ask yourself! There are so many people who I love to follow along with online, and there are so many amazing fellow creators in the space who each have a unique perspective, voice, or style. I try to provide entertainment alongside relatable and fun advice for my community, and I hope that they would say the same!

What would you like to say to your fans? I love you all and thank you for sticking with me & continuing to give me this space to create after so many years! XO

What was your defining moment as a content creator/social media influencer?

I have had a few defining moments as a Social Media Influencer. One that stands out is probably when I was able to find an avenue of creativity that was able to help me earn enough income to help support my family.

How do you hope to influence people through your social media platform?

What can people expect to see when visiting your social media page(s)?

I hope to influence others to be their most "Authentic Self". When they view my pages, they are truly seeing my "Authentic" self and my artistry.

What do you predict will be the biggest trends of fall/winter?

I predict the biggest trends will be lots of layering with variations of different periods in time, fairy tales, corsets, & distressed materials, with a touch of grunge.

Next travel plans?

This winter I plan on spending a few weeks in Europe with one of my Best Friends.

Favorite brands / places to shop?

Some favorite brands are Jean Paul Gaultier, Mugler, Vivenne Westwood. I Love Vintage designers, Chanel, Fendi & Calvin Klein denim. I thrift and shop Vintage mostly.

A holiday movie you can watch on repeat?

My Favorite Holiday movies are Bridget Jones Diary and Love Actually, actually!!

What's your go-to airport look? Essentials to pack in a carry on? When I travel, I wear very baggy and comfortable clothing, no makeup, and Birkenstocks. My essentials in my carry on are my Air pod maxes, disinfectant wipes, protein bars, and my Playstation backbone.

What was the highlight of your stay with Modeliste at AMATTE?

My Highlight at the "Amatte" resort In San Miguel De Allende was definitely the most incredible staff, they were so accommodating & sweet, the beauty of the resort, & the Bathtub! I would love to return again and take my Mom! She would love it so much.

What's a typical work day like for you?

My typical day would be running around getting my ADD in check so I can then focus on getting one or two things done and playing with "Bunz", my puppy!

What's your everyday make-up routine?

Any products you'd recommend for our Modeliste readers?

My everyday makeup routine is "Less is More ", even with pricing, I am all about using drugstore makeup.

What's something your fans would be surprised to know about you?

My fans would be surprised to know that I have never had a boyfriend. I dated some nice guys, but no boyfriend. I have lots of guy friends though.

Are you working on any projects you'd like to share?

I'm always working on some things. I have some great projects in the pot stirring, but nothing I can share yet.

Where do you gain inspiration for content? Any tips & tricks you'd like to share for those aspiring to have a career like your own?

My content creation ideas come mainly from whatever movie reference comes to mind for the day. My advice to new creators is to stay consistent, prioritize your mental health first, and keep going, don't stop!

What makes you different from other content creators?

I think we all have unique qualities & gifts we bring to the table. Always Be Yourself!

What would you like to say to your fans?

I would like to let my fans know that I love and appreciate them so much and can't believe they exist!

What was your defining moment as a content creator/social media influencer?

My defining moment for me happened when I dropped my life in the states and decided to travel from country to country for 6 years.

I've lived in 7 countries with two purposes in mind. Work and create relationships with brands all over the world and work nonstop while simultaneously seeing the world in the process! That changed the whole game for me, mentally and career wise.

How do you hope to influence people through your social media platform? What can people expect to see when visiting your social media page(s)?

I believe the feeling i want people to get while visiting my page is that film/romance is not dead. Being sentimental and wildly nostalgic is lovely and a dying breed. I want people to feel transported to an old soul of art and creation.

What do you predict will be the biggest trends of fall/winter?

I'm horrible with trends but if I had a guess. I'd say oversized chunky knits with large scarfs.

Fall travel plans?

Heading back to París and London right before it starts getting to cold and all I want to do is hibernate.

Where do I begin, First off, everyone on the trip was a dream to hang with and meet. The highlight was going to the winery and having such amazing food with everyone while it poured down rain! It was such a memorable and beautiful place, the rain was stunning and it was just beautiful. Definitely a highlight!

What's a typical work day like for you?

All things not glorious, haha, steaming, prepping, destroying my space with makeup and accessories, haha! Finally, shooting and then putting on my biggest sweatshirt after and editing in a dark room.

What's your everyday make-up routine? Any products you'd recommend for our Modeliste readers?

I'm very natural most of the day. My favorite brand is Saie for skin and face tint. I seriously live by it. Gucci bronzer and gloss are my go-tos. I like to be tan and I like to be glossy and fresh.

What's something your fans would be surprised to know about you?

I'm not really materialistic. I like shopping but I don't shop very often. It stresses me out to have too many things actually, so I constantly clean out my closets because the less the better!

Are you working on any projects you'd like to share?

I am working on another sunglass line coming out in summer that I'm truly excited about.

Where do you gain inspiration for content? Any tips & tricks you'd like to share for those aspiring to have a career like your own?

Music has always been my biggest influence and old films. I adore watching old French, New Wave, and old films on TCM.

What makes you different from other content creators?

I'd like to say I'm not really a "trending" influencer. I also just do what I like, and "my brand" is just who I am, so I pretty much stay in my pocket of things I love.

What would you like to say to your fans? I close my eyes and smile as I think about this answer. I want to say thank you for all your support throughout all these years. Over 10 years I have been public online, and the support and love I've felt from people doesn't have a price tag. They give me the spirit to continue doing what I love and, having them enjoy that, is beyond thank yous and words.

I was studying to be a school teacher and I started on the networks. I loved what I was doing and I found my passion, my voice. Since then I work every day and I'm happy with my work! It was an incredible feeling, and I was finally satisfied with my life… especially when I didn't even have time for anything anymore, haha! I knew it was work!

What are the biggest challenges you face as a content creator and how do you overcome them?

I have to satisfy the people who follow us and also the brands!! I also have to be very creative. It's a constant challenge and it's very important because we have to constantly renew ourselves.

What's something people would be surprised to know about you?

To know that I am very sensitive!!! And boring, hahaha!

This fall I am waiting for the apartment of my dreams in Paris, haha, or in the United States.

What's an item you cannot travel without? What advice do you have for getting prepared for a long travel day?

I can't travel without my sleep mask, haha! At least everywhere I go, I can sleep in the dark! My advice is: to be in a comfortable outfit above all, headphones, and positivity!

Favorite place you've traveled and why? It's Mauritius because it was my mom's dream trip and I took her there! And, sharing that with your mom, there is nothing more beautiful!

What's at the top of your bucket list? Live for a while in the USA, and why not?!

Thank you very much! Ahah, it's an intense day but I face it with positivity because I love what I do, I get inspired by everything I can see through the networks, TV, magazines!

But I always try to bring a touch of "Jade" to show my personality.

The trench of course! It finishes an outfit and it goes with everything! haha

I just hope to be myself and that people follow me for my personality. I also only offer what looks like me, so I hope to influence them in a sincere and genuine way.

You must express what you are, and try to be yourself and it will come! Also, take the time to do things, to think in order to create content that is not like everyone else.

I actually started focusing more on influencing/content creation during quarantine. I had a lot of free time and found a new love for producing my own content.

One of the biggest challenges would have to be meeting each brand’s requirements and capturing each of the aesthetics, while also creating unique and authentic content that’s true to myself.

Other creators/models inspire me! Even some of my friends inspire me.

What's an item you cannot travel without? What advice do you have for getting prepared for a long travel day? Headphones! Traveling can be chaotic so being able to throw your headphones on and block out all the noise makes any travel experience more enjoyable.

Favorite place you've traveled and why? Cape Town, South Africa will always have a special place in my heart. It was my first major trip traveling alone for work and I lived there for five months. One of the most beautiful places in the world!

What's at the top of your bucket list? Italy! Would love to tour the whole country. Has always been a dream of mine.

What was your defining moment as a social media influencer?

The moment that defined my career in social networking was the pandemic. I started uploading content to TikTok for fun and I had a fairly rapid growth in a short time. That motivated me to keep uploading content to all my social media channels on a daily basis.

What can people expect to see when visiting your social media page(s)? My goal as an influencer is to inspire my followers to always be themselves and to know how far they can go by doing what they like. My followers will always see the real me. I love to show my funny side and laugh at myself in situations that happen day to day. Today, we see many pretty faces on social media but that is not real; that will have to change because no one has the perfect life. I also like to show many things from my personal life including my friends, and my travels.

I try to support local brands a lot and I love to buy from small brands.

Essentials to pack in a carry on? Very basic. The most important thing for me is to be comfortable and that I don't get cold on the plane. I usually travel with sneakers, comfortable pants, and a large hoodie. In my carry-on I always put my valuables such as jewelry or luxury purses.

The highlight for me was the amazing attention to detail by the hotel staff. I loved sharing this special time with the other girls who are also working on the same thing as me and exchanging ideas on how to create content.

Every day is different, but my mornings are almost always the same. I wake up at 7:30, have breakfast and go to the gym and then I organize my day.

More than a make-up routine I have a skincare routine. I don't wear much makeup but my skincare routine is a must.

What's something your fans would be surprised to know about you?

I have told my followers that I suffer a lot of anxiety but I think they would be surprised if they saw me in a public place. I find it very difficult to be in places with a lot of people and suffer from social anxiety. I feel very uncomfortable quickly and always end up going home earlier than planned.

Where do you gain inspiration for content? Any tips & tricks you'd like to share for those aspiring to have a career like your own?

The tip I always give is to be authentic. Never pretend to be someone you are not, don’t try to be perfect. Followers can feel when someone is not real. You do not create an organic engagement with your followers, and it affects your personal side too much. It's depressing to show a life that is not actually yours.

What would you like to say to your fans?

Facing your fears and leaving your comfort zone is the only way to see big changes in your life. You'll have great internal as well as external rewards.

My defining moment as an influencer was when I realized that there is a true art behind creating a photo. When people see or follow me, I want them to feel as though they know me through each photo. Once I realized and practiced how to do just that, I knew this was made for me. Ever since that moment, I’ve gradually been able to accomplish dreams and goals I never thought would be possible like being featured in Modeliste magazine.

How do you hope to influence people through your social media platform? What can people expect to see when visiting your social media page(s)? I hope to influence people to be themselves and to lead with love and any and all situations. To accomplish your goals no matter what! When something is for you just do it, if you feel the need to not do it then don’t. It's not for you! I just want to be a positive, inspirational person online that people can follow and I can share my energy with them even if it's just through photos.

What do you predict will be the biggest trends of fall/winter?

The biggest trend of fall is going to be style, streetwear. I am dropping my new streetwear line too!

The highlight of my stay with Modeliste at Guaycura Boutique Hotel Beach Club & Spa was the beautiful tub in my room as well as the beach club they had. The tub provided the most relaxing and luxurious time during my stay. It was such a beautiful way to start and end my days. The beach club was just an offsite paradise that I couldn’t get enough of. The food was absolutely insane in every way which made everything that much more amazing.

What's a typical work day like for you?

A typical work day is all day for me. I love my job as a model and influencer. I normally start my day at 6am with breakfast before I go to training at the gym at 7am. After a workout meal, I shower and get ready to make content for about 4-5 hours, stacking enough content for that day and some for the next day because posting starts at 8am everyday for me! After I feel I’ve done enough content, I move over to promos/ emails and other projects. I'm constantly trying to grow my business, brainstorm on future ideas that will get me to the next level. Normally, I schedule with photographers or friends to shoot, book studios and get outfit selections from different companies so I have looks to shoot in. I could go on and on, but it just never stops because I can easily be having fun and working at the same time with my type of job. Everyday is different but that’s normally how my workdays go.

What's your everyday make-up routine? Any products you'd recommend for our Modeliste readers?

My everyday makeup routine is starting off with my skincare and eyepatches. Then I use the Milk tinted moisturizer and concealer with th epizie blush and a cute small wing to insinuate my cat eyes. I highly recommend Milk’s new tinted sunscreen. It blends into the face perfectly. Pixi has one of the best rub on blush glow sticks I’ve ever used and NYX brown lip liner is top 5 for lining the lips! Pixi also has some of the best eye patches. I use the green ones overnight along with Tula eye brighting stick (the pink one).

What's something your fans would be surprised to know about you?

Something my fans would be surprised to know about me is that I was denied to be a model at 8yrs old. It had always been what I knew I wanted to do, and even after taking a whole 2 minute meeting to be told it’s never going to happen because I'm too short, it did not phase me. From that moment on I practiced my poses.

I am working on my clothing line right now hoping to release it in time for my birthday!

A typical week is modeling a few days, sometimes some castings, then the rest getting content & filming collabs. As well as social things & some time for myself! My personal best way to stay productive is to always give myself time in the morning to do the things I enjoy, like taking a walk, doing my skincare, having my coffee, and the rest of the day always feels so much easier and put together!

I always go for a glowy base and black winged eyeliner, I love the refy topaz liquid highlighter for the best glow.

What was your defining moment as a content creator/social media influencer?

My defining moment as a content creator was probably when one of my TikTok videos really took off and hit 9.8 million views. This TikTok was one of my beauty videos, and I created my version of the ‘clean look’. This then ended up becoming a trend on TikTok which was super cool to see and was one of the first times I felt my content had a large reaction and response.

How do you hope to influence people through your social media platform?

What can people expect to see when visiting your social media page(s)?

I hope to give people an escape and a way to switch off. I like to think my content is really calming, as someone commented recently “your videos always make my day, you’re so calming and it’s helping my anxiety, so thank you”. This made me really happy and is exactly what I want to achieve with my content. I also hope that I am helping people with makeup and skincare hacks. This is how I learned how to do makeup growing up, by watching my favorite creators.

What do you predict will be the biggest trends of winter season?

Ooo this is a tough one!! Mainly because I think the idea of specific trends has kind of changed now, mainly I think due to TikTok. As the app is so vast and has so much content and so many creators, there are endless, daily trends. However, in terms of beauty trends/what I think we will see a lot of this winter, is the idea of ‘cold girl makeup’. This comes from the cute look we get when you’ve been out in the cold/ snow. So I think we will be seeing a lot of fresh dewy makeup with lots of blush on the nose.

Any upcoming travel plans you’re looking forward to?

Yes! I’m hoping to head over to Los Angeles very soon which I cannot wait for. I absolutely love America and especially Los Angeles. Looking forward to maybe a bit better weather than London also.

Favorite brands and places to shop this holiday season?

A few of my fave brands at the moment for the colder weather have been Adanola for cosy good quality essentials, Sisters and Seekers for winter outfits that still look more elevated and stylish, and Alo Yoga which have the cutest gym pieces which really help me stay motivated and feel put together in the colder months. Oh and thrift shops!

What’s your favorite holiday dish and tradition?

For sure, Christmas dinner! Nothing beats it. I absolutely love my parents' Christmas dinner that they make and the vibe of the whole meal too. It’s more than just a meal

as my whole family comes together and it’s really special all just coming together to enjoy an amazing meal. We will be sitting at that table for hours!

What's your go-to airport look?

Essentials to pack in a carry on? Comfort, comfort, comfort! I always have to be comfortable at an airport. For me a go-to would always be a matching tracksuit with some sort of tank top and my Uggs! You can’t go wrong with a nice matching tracksuit. I’ll always add a cap and my gold hoops to bring the outfit together a bit. Essentials I always bring with me are headphones, lip-balm, my teddy, and snacks!! Lots of snacks. I also always carry some eyelash curlers with me as curled lashes always wake me up after a flight.

What was the highlight of your stay with Modeliste in Paris?

The highlight of my stay in Paris with Modeliste was probably the dinner we had all together at La Pérouse Paris. We had the most amazing truffle pasta and it was just such a lovely evening. Amazing food and amazing people. A night I will always remember!

What's a typical work week like for you? Any advice you have for staying productive throughout the week?

I don’t really have a typical work week! That’s kind of what I love about it all, I guess. My weeks are never the same and I never really know 100% what I’m doing. The fashion industry is super last minute and all over the place but I just roll with it. I’d say my weeks are mostly 50/50 though 50% socials and 50% modeling. Some weeks or months I can be non stop all over the place, traveling everywhere; and some weeks can be super quiet so I just do filming for my socials! I wouldn’t change it.

What's your go to makeup routine for a holiday dinner party? Any products you'd recommend for our Modeliste readers?

My go to makeup routine for a holiday dinner party would be a super glowy natural, bronze base. And then I’d usually go for something light on the eyes and of course a red lip. You cannot be more festive than a red lip. My favourite red lip is definitely MAC Ruby Woo. Some products I swear by and recommend to you guys are, Iconic London Radiance Booster for the most gorgeous glowy base. Eyelash curlers, always. Laneige lip mask for gorgeous hydrated lips!!! That’s just a few of many!

What's something your fans would be surprised to know about you?

Probably that I absolutely LOVE to sing! I am always singing. I have hundreds of drafts on TikTok of me singing that I never post! It’s always just been for fun, but lately I’ve been thinking about posting some and seeing where singing could go! So keep your eyes peeled for that!

Are you working on any projects you'd like to share?

Yes! I have my move to America coming up, and I am starting a series on my YouTube Channel, ‘Eva Rose Rankin’, where I will be sharing my journey of my move from the UK to the US, and will be taking you guys along with me the whole way! So definitely stay tuned as hopefully exciting things to come with my YouTube!

Where do you gain inspiration for content? Any tips & tricks you'd like to share for those inspiring to have a career like your own?

For me I try to keep my inspiration to things that I really love or believe in, as I think when I don’t love or believe in the content, it really doesn’t show well within the videos. So definitely make sure that you’re filming stuff that you like and would watch yourself. I think from just being a huge TikTok user myself, and always scrolling through so much content, I’m always subconsciously opening myself up to new ideas and inspiration from other creators. I think my biggest tip would just be to make sure you’re posting stuff you love and believe in, and the rest will follow. And don’t give up! Consistency is key, so don’t be disheartened if things don’t work out straight away.

What makes you different from other content creators?

I think one thing that makes me different from other creators on TikTok / in social media, is that originally my main job was modeling. So the TikTok / social media presence was never really planned, it just kind of happened organically. During lockdown, as I wasn’t able to shoot at all, I started posting on socials for fun. So in that sense, I may be different from some beauty creators as my beauty tips and hacks have all been learnt through being a model and being on set constantly. I’ve had hundreds of different people do my makeup and I feel like I’ve just been a sponge absorbing everyone’s different methods and I’ve learnt how your face really is a canvas and can be transformed depending on who does your makeup or what you choose to do!

What would you like to say to your fans?

Just a huge thank you for always supporting me and making me able to live my dream! I seriously couldn’t do it without you!!! Also, always follow your own wants and dreams from life too. Remember that it is your life and it should be up to you what you do with it. No idea is too crazy if you put your mind to it, and never let anyone else stop you from doing what you love. Forget what anyone thinks and go for it!

A lot of dancing, writing music with my Girl band, and mostly creating content & planning something new and fresh. Never rush or feel guilty about not doing enough. You end up stressing more about that than having free space in your brain for creativity.

My inspiration comes ALL from my family - my parents and siblings. My mum is a low-key ICON - her fashion and music taste / knowledge - same with my dad. They have had a massive influence on my taste in fashion and music.

My parents come from two different backgrounds and the blend of doing my main thing - performing & makeup in one.

What was your defining moment as a content creator/social media influencer?

I think the most rewarding thing I have ever gotten out of my career is reaching 100k subscribers on YouTube, because there was a point where I didn’t even think 1,000 was possible. It was such a different world for me.

How do you hope to influence people through your social media platform? What can people expect to see when visiting your social media page(s)? My platform began with me posting my everyday life, unfiltered, not thinking much of it. I have tried to keep that same authenticity throughout the years in the areas I love. With skincare, for example, I make sure to document my journey even when I don't necessarily want to.

What do you predict will be the biggest trends of winter season?

I think we’re all prioritizing comfort and warmth this Winter. Oversized accessories like bags and scarves are really practical but also quite the statement.

Any upcoming travel plans you’re looking forward to?

Nothing concrete at the moment, but I am hoping to explore more of Asia in the new year.

Clothing wise, stores like COS, Weekday, Uniqlo, Na-kd and Anthropologie are perfect for good quality, timeless basics. Home shopping is also my favorite, you can never go wrong with H&M Home. Nest does the best seasonal fragrances; Sicilian Tangerine is the best scent.

What’s your favorite holiday dish and tradition?

I love a good roast, Soho House for a Sunday roast. Overall family time and gift giving I love around the holidays. I’m that person that can’t keep your presents a secret.

What's your go-to airport look? Essentials to pack in a carry on?

If you’ve seen me at an airport, it’s not me. I just want to be comfortable, no matter the flight duration. Uggs are an essential (so happy they’re back), an oversized hoodie and thick eye mask. In my liquids, I always have a Caudalie Beauty Elixir, hand sanitizer, wipes, Laneige lip mask and cocoa butter.

What was the highlight of your stay with Modeliste in Paris?

I loved the blend of people. Some of us were from the other side of the world, and it was nice to explore the city with so many personalities. Paris makes for a great girls weekend away.

What's a typical work week like for you? Any advice you have for staying productive throughout the week?

My work weeks are always different. Some weeks there’s little going on, other weeks everything is happening. I try to wake up at a similar time everyday regardless of what I am doing, so my body doesn’t slow down. I have a really high screen time so something I do is set app lockers on certain apps, but someone else knows the password so I can't get into it. In the spare time I've had, I've started reading and I’m really enjoying it. Book recommendations are welcome!

What's your go to makeup routine for a holiday dinner party? Any products you'd recommend for our Modeliste readers?

Red lip or smokey eye always. If you’re not usually a red lip person like me, try a lipgloss or lip oil like the Tower28 one by Clarins. For a subtle smokey eye, I like brown eyeliner, the Charlotte Tilbury one is really easy to blend.

What's something your fans would be surprised to know about you?

I am a Harry Potter and The Office superfan. I have watched all of them many times and know what happens in every single one. Going to The Harry Potter world is on my bucket list, so if anyone is reading this and wants to go, I’m down. Oh, and also to go to Scranton.

Are you working on any projects you'd like to share?

I have been working on something really cool for a few weeks now that I hope to share before the new year. It’s something that has helped me with my skin and I hope it will help others too.

Where do you gain inspiration for content? Any tips & tricks you'd like to share for those aspiring to have a career like your own?

I try not to follow trends and if I do, it’s only if it makes sense to my style. Definitely try different things out to find your style and do what makes you feel most comfortable. With the Internet now, anyone can do anything and it’s easier now than ever.

I don’t like to quality control too much of what I post because it removes the life out of everything. For my own sanity, I can't overthink it.

Anything my mom cooks for the holidays is my favorite. She’s an amazing cook and our holiday spreads are lavish- she goes all out. Specifically, i love her sweet potatoes with marshmallows- my mouth is watering talking about it.

Definitely a cute pair of sneaks, cute sweats or leggings, and then a comfy oversized sweater with layers underneath. In my carry on I always have a good book, hair clip, headphones, gum, and skincare! I love to bring face masks and lip treatments for in flight.

What was the highlight of your stay with Modeliste in Paris?

The highlight of my trip was meeting all the girls and just being so inspired by the way they do everything and their creativity. It was seriously the best!

What's a typical work week like for you? Any advice you have for staying productive throughout the week?

My weeks and days change a lot, but I always make sure that I start my morning with some type of movement, filtered water with lemon first thing, make my bed, and then I start my work day. Some days I'm filming and in the studio, some days I’m with clients, and almost all of my days consist of setting aside time to plan a strategy, respond to emails, and stay organized with what seems to be my endless to-do list. With that being said, I stay productive by making achievable lists and making sure I do everything I intend to do that morning or afternoon. I also love multi-tasking- if I need to do a phone call with a brand I will grab my headphones and go on a walk to also get some steps in. I also feel like movement helps with inspiration for content ideas!

What's your go to makeup routine for a holiday dinner party? Any products you'd recommend for our Modeliste readers?

Go to makeup for a holiday party- a fun lip to pop and then also LOVE to pair something glowy or shimmering on the eyes. Last year I used a lot of Charlotte Tilbury products to create these looks, and they were perfect! The lips and eye products are so pigmented and long lasting- highly recommended.

What's something your fans would be surprised to know about you?

I have my degree in child development psychology and, before content creating, my goal was to be a therapist for children!

Yes!!! I’m working on SO much - with other brands and individually. I can’t say too much but if you follow along my journey, you’ll soon get a hint!

What makes you different from other content creators?

I get a lot of inspiration from the internet with artists I look up to, but also music! Sometimes when I’m getting ready, depending on what songs I’m listening to, it affects how my makeup looks. Even when I’m creatively filming, I will throw all of my makeup on the floor, turn on a playlist and just have fun with applying the products, pairing different things, and see what I come up with!

What makes you different from other content creators?

I think what makes me different from other content creators is how I use products and think outside the box. I remember a few years ago I shared that I love putting my blush on my eyes and it shocked so many people. I feel like, with makeup, people tend to just follow what they’re told- for example you NEED to do this on your eyes and you HAVE to put this on your lips. But when you go against the rules you can create something really fun.

What would you like to say to your fans?

Honestly, my best advice for my beauty lovers is to have fun with makeup and skincare. There are no rules, don’t stress over perfection, and if it makes you feel confident, do it!
