EDITOR'S LETTER
As we ring in the New Year, we are filled with new hopes, dreams, creative vision, inspiration, and perspective. As we leave behind such a tumultuous year, we have had to reevaluate much of what we believe in while reinventing our holiday traditions, reimagining and rethinking every aspect of our lives. We can only look to a brighter future as we embark upon the journey of what will be 2021.

From the start, Modeliste was defined by its choice to champion who and what it believed in; offering inspiration and encouragement to our readers. This sense of community is the heart of everything we do at Modeliste today, as we hope to shine a light into the future and celebrate the women and men we admire most – such as this month's cover stars Nicole Willliams-English and Larry English. It has always been our pledge to give a platform to diversity as is apparent in our choice of cover models, Influencers, photographers, writers and creative designers. It is our goal to continue to celebrate diversity and bring forward a new lens of perspectives, open and honest dialogue, sharing our individual stories and unique experiences and making bold choices to reinvent ourselves collectively in order to create a brighter future for us all. We hold the power and light within to initiate change – and with that is the ability to create an inspiring and empowering voice and cultural reckoning for all generations to come.

Devotees of star studded romance have watched with delight the romantic journey of Nicole Williams-English and Larry English as their careers crossed paths with rendezvous from Canada to Tampa Bay, through their much anticipated engagement in 2016 and dazzling wedding in 2017. Social media loves a love story, especially when a beautiful and talented model and a talented former NFL player and entrepreneur are the real life stars. Together this much admired power couple has captured a loyal fan base of over 2 million Instagram followers. Nicole, best known for her immensely successful modeling career, designer of Nia Lynn fashions, her engaging life on social media, and starring role as a TV personality for the E! show, Wags; and Larry, a great success as an entrepreneur, and star as a TV personality for Wags as well, which was based on the wives and/or girlfriends of sports stars. Today the couple resides in Los Angeles with their two Frenchies, Jasmine and Ace. Their appreciative fan base of followers engage in their cute family photos, fur babies, and insights into their relationship and life together. Modeliste Magazine hosted this fun loving couple at Hodges Bay Resort and Spa in Antigua,West Indies, for their very first cover shoot together. In this beautiful Caribbean setting, Modeliste had a unique chance to get to know Nicole and Larry in a special up close and personal way and had them create their own questions and ask one another for their exclusive interview.

The Interview
with
NICOLE WILLIAMS -ENGLISH & LARRY ENGLISH Nicole: As we had a wonderful stay at beautiful Hodges Bay Resort and Spa with Modeliste Magazine, we now thought it would be really fun to actually interview each other. So I'm going to ask Larry some personal questions about me. We'll see how good he knows me. And then I'll ask him some personal questions about himself. Are you ready? So, first question, where do you see yourself in 10 years? Larry: Man, that’s a heavy question. Thought they would be light questions. But, in 10 years, I see myself blissed out. Nicole: You're what? Larry: Blissed out. Nicole: Blissed out? Larry: Blissed out. Happy, peaceful, joyful. And 10 years from now, hopefully, by that time, I'll figure out how to fully live this life and be happy. Nicole: Okay. You're not happy now? Larry: I'm happy now. Nicole: I told you to be careful with these questions. Larry: Up and down though. Number one, I think you started out with a good one. So where do you see yourself 10 years from now? Nicole: Ten years from now, I see myself obviously being an even stronger, smarter, wiser business woman. I envision us having about three kids. Living, maybe in Florida, by the water, and my company, Nia Lynn, being one of the most amazing and successful companies. And of course being on the cover of Forbes. Nicole: At what point in your life and where was it that you just had something so unreal happen to you, and it's probably the biggest wow of your whole life so far? Larry: The one that sticks out in my mind is the day that I got the phone call to be drafted into the NFL, because that was a lifelong dream that I had. And it all kind of culminated from receiving that one phone call.
Larry: Since we're in the Christmas season, what is your favorite activity to do during Christmas? Nicole: My favorite activity is watching Christmas movies. That is my absolute favorite thing. Light the fireplace, put on Home Alone and I get right into the Christmas spirit. Nothing makes me happier than waking up and watching Christmas movies over the holidays.
Nicole: The day you got drafted? Larry: Yeah, it was good.
Larry: What's the most annoying characteristic about me? Nicole: Your OCD drives me mental. He literally just washed his hands. Larry: I just wash my hands a lot. Nicole: Like a thousand times a day, I don't know. It's just the weirdest thing. He hates dirt. Larry: It's a pandemic.
Larry: So we just went on a trip with Modeliste Magazine and had so much fun. What was the best thing about that trip and your favorite moment? Nicole: Oh my God, it's so tough, because I had so many amazing moments! I would say that I hardly ever really face my fears when it comes to things I'm super, fearful of. I just usually X them out of my life and don't approach them at all. So, I think one of my best experiences was when I walked down a ladder from a dock into the ocean which was full of stingrays. I felt so recharged when I got out, because I walked in that water thinking holy shit, I'm going to die. And then when I got out of the water, I felt so enlightened. I really just overcame a huge fear of mine, and I had so much fun while I was in the water. I was terrified when the stingrays were bumping into my legs and swimming around me. I was literally petrified, but I had so much energy filling my body, I was so excited and so happy I could explode. Nicole: Next question, Ok, what is your most favorite trait about me? Just one. Larry: Your genuine loyalty. I feel you are a completely genuine person and a loyal person. Larry: For you, what was the low, the most challenging moment of our trip to Antigua? Nicole: I would say the most challenging moment and the lowest of that trip was having to spend two days without bags. I had no clothing and not even a toothbrush or deodorant. And we had to push our shoot date back. So I would say that was the worst. Who wants to have lost bags? Everything else was amazing though! Nicole: Next question. Do you know my sign? Larry: I'm bad with signs, but yeah. Scorpio. Nicole: It's tattooed on me.
Nicole: Would you consider yourself a mama's boy? Larry: I feel like I am close to my mom. Yes. Nicole: Which I love about him, he's so close to his mother. Larry: What's the best characteristic about me? Nicole: I love how nurturing you are. He is literally the best. When I'm sick, when I have a headache, if I get a little sliver in my finger, if I stub my toe, he's literally, "Oh no baby, what do you need?� I guess that could be bad too, because I take advantage. Like if I stub my toe, I call, "Oh, babe," and he comes running. So I think I overreact. And I've probably cried wolf a few times now because of you, because you're so nurturing, Nicole: What date did we get married? Larry: May 19th. Larry: What is your favorite holiday? Nicole: Halloween. No-brainer. I love Halloween. I love, love, love anything scary, dressing up, any horror movies. I'm a horror movie freak. I'm a Halloween baby. So Halloween's definitely my favorite. Nicole: What is my favorite food? Larry: Pizza. Larry: What are your top three horror film suggestions? Nicole: The Exorcism of Emily Rose freaked me the hell out. Hereditary- that was scary. And I'm going to say another movie that's not necessarily a horror, but it really freaked me out because I'm really crazy about extraterrestrial stuff, like aliens, so the Fourth Kind was amazing, and freaky as hell. Nicole: If you were to have one meal every single day for the rest of your life, what would it be? Larry: Cheeseburgers.
Larry: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Nicole: I would go to Egypt. I really want to see the pyramids. I find it super interesting, the history behind those pyramids, how they got there, and the writing on the walls and some of the really ancient ones. So I think I would like to go there. Nicole: If we are able to one day soon travel to the moon, would you take a trip to the moon with me? Larry: Yes. Larry: If there would be one thing that you want to change or improve about your health? Nicole: Worrying less about things that I cannot change. I can't predict the future, so I need to stop worrying about it. And I can't change things that have already happened. So I need to stop worrying about that too. So live in the present, and less worrying. Nicole: Movies- horror, or comedy? Larry: Comedy. Larry: What is your favorite pastime, thing to do? Nicole: Honestly, I would like to be able to fit in more days that I can spend with animals. I know that’s one thing that makes me super happy. I don't think about any stress when I'm around animals. So I feel like if I could volunteer or go to shelters and just take the dogs for a walk, play with them, that would be amazing. I'm my happiest when I'm around animals, and of course with you, babe. Nicole: What book have you read recently that you have taken something important from and implied it into your life? Larry: Guruji. The book is about this practice of yoga and the yogic postures that I do on a daily basis now. It's been something very beneficial for me and I would pick that book because that book has in essence a lot of tips on how to approach this modality. Larry: What is the thing that you do in your work that you find the most value and satisfaction in doing? Nicole: The instant picture that flashes in my mind is how I've touched so many other people, like my followers. I have two million followers on Instagram who, in a lot of ways, a lot of those young girls look up to me, whether that is about relationship advice, or styling, or beauty products. I find it really cool that I'm able to share all of the things that I feel I'm an expert on. I'm not an expert, but I like to share it with my followers.
It all comes in a full circle, like with Nia Lynn. When I design, and the customers buy my clothing or my swimsuits, and when they love them, and they make them feel confident and feel good, and I get feedback, "Oh my God, I bought this suit and I'm going to come back and buy more because they fit so well. Thank you so much." Or, "Hey, I tried that beauty product, I tried that skin cream that you said worked really good on dark spots and it changed my life. Thank you so much." I just feel when you ask what is my favorite part of my job, it’s definitely the connection I have with my followers and fans and everybody who takes time out of their day to come and look at what I'm doing. I feel like the connection I have with them, that's my favorite part. Nicole: What is the most annoying part about being married to me? Larry: You know already. Nicole: What? Larry: My wife, I don't know if you call it a lack of being able to multitask, I think it's probably debatable. She has her phone in her hand, and I'm speaking, and she's nodding, I just know she's sending me off. She's not hearing, she's not listening. She's not consuming any of the words that are coming out of my mouth. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. Nicole: I get it. Larry: Far off look. Larry: In your opinion, what is the one best activity that LA or surrounding areas have to offer for somebody that doesn't know the city? Nicole: The one thing... the beaches, I think that we have really cool boardwalks and beautiful beaches. I mean, we have so many beaches, when we go to the beach, we always go to a new place every time, We keep finding new beaches to go to. It is so cool that you can come to California, and we're not one of those island places, but we still have really cool sandy beaches. Also, Runyon Canyon. People come here to hike up Runyon who are not even workout people or hikers. You just go up there for the scene, for the view. Going to Abbott Kinney and Venice is really cool as is Malibu. Nicole: Do you think I'm a good cook? Larry: You are a good cook. Larry: What is your favorite restaurant in town? Nicole: My favorite restaurant absolutely hands down is Giorgio Baldi. Nicole: What is your favorite dish that I make? Larry: The soup she makes is killer- it’s a vegetable soup. Nicole: I wanted to give everybody the recipe, but he told me that there is no recipe to my madness.
Larry: Disneyland, or Disney World? Nicole: Disney World, of course. Do you foresee us raising a family here in LA, or would you like to raise a family somewhere else? Larry: For the time being, I think it would be in LA. Larry: What is your favorite show on TV right now? Nicole: Handmaid's Tale is my absolute favorite show. It's so good. If you haven't seen it, you have to watch it. Nicole: Do you want children? Larry: Yes. Larry: If you had one thing that you would want to implement, add to your daily life and do it every single day, what would that one activity be? Nicole: I would say exercise, because I feel like I work out when I have something coming up and when I feel like I'm falling off and I need that extra push, but I don't implement that in my life on a daily basis. I think that I could be healthier, I could be a healthier human being if I worked out and exercised on a weekly basis, or daily basis throughout the week, and made it a habit. And so that would be a part of my lifestyle. But right now I just work out when I feel like I need to, versus knowing that it will be beneficial to my life if it's a part of my lifestyle. Nicole: When we first met, did you instantly think that she's going to be my wife? You can be honest. I won't get mad at you, I promise. Larry: No, but I'll give you the background. What I did think though, was I started to envision what it would be like to be in a relationship with you. So that I did think about, but me at age 25, I wasn't thinking about, let me find my wife. Nicole: He was a baby when we met. Larry: A 25-year-old. Nicole: And I was a grown woman. Larry: She lied about her age. I did envision what it would be like to be with somebody like you, to be in a real relationship. Nicole: That's so sweet. That's really sweet. Well, that concludes our interview. Larry: We enjoyed this hour that we spent with you guys. Can't wait until next time. Nicole: Yes. We can't wait to share our Modeliste cover with you!

Anna-Maria Sommer (@annstaaa) is the Founder and Creative Director of namesake label, Sommer Swim. A luxury swimwear brand inspired by a chic European summer lifestyle. In 2014 Anna started making swimwear samples for herself, designing pieces that were reflective of her personal style and perfect for a sun-soaked vacation or lounging at home by the pool. What started as a hobby has since grown into an internationally recognized brand with a cult following of celebrities, social media influencers, and loyal customers. Originally from Germany, Anna now splits her time between Bali and Europe chasing the sun year-round. Read our exclusive interview with Sommer Swim where we discuss inspiration from their newest collection Île Mustique and the creation of the beautiful and versatile swimwear brand. Where did Sommer Swim gain inspiration for the 2021 collection 'Île Mustique’? This season we were inspired by the escapism captured in the Slim Aarons era of photography. Particularly the scenes from his ’89 island vacation in the Grenadines. Vibrant pastels hues reminiscent of the Caribbean’s sun and sea paved the way for our new season colour palette and print. This collection is sexy and playful at the same time and we love the ease of mixing and matching our new cuts with our classic pieces. What is different about this collection than any created before? I think this collection was different to any before and feels like more of an accomplishment because it came about in the craziest year of all and I’m sure so many fashion labels can appreciate that statement. Our team had to collaborate and pull together like never before and ultimately what we were able to create we’ve so thrilled with and proud of. Describe the perfect Sommer Swim girl. The perfect Sommer Swim girl is perfect in her imperfections, she’s not afraid of being herself and wearing that daring suit. We create silhouettes which really accentuate the feminine form and we just want the women wearing them to feel their most confident selves whether they’re baking from their balcony as we saw this summer, or sauntering along the beach during a weekend getaway.

Will Sommer Swim ever explore into other categories of clothing? Yes we did Ready to Wear for the first time in our last season with the The Cruise Collection. We had a really great response from our customers so we will look at exploring more opportunities soon. Easy to wear accessories are such a great addition too - we loved dressing our girls from head to toe in Sommer. Sommer Swim always has the most beautiful prints, where are the designs mainly sourced and created? We get inspiration from iconic vintage prints and then give them a modern twist. All of our prints, such as the highly coveted Baroque print worn by Kendall Jenner, was created by our in house designer.
Can you share when and where Sommer Swim originated from? Sommer Swim was born from a love of fashion, a desire to see some more risqué styles, and a little bit of luck. I was living in Bali at the time and really wasn’t seeing my dream bikinis on the market so I decided to start sampling and Sommer was born from that. I found my groove more in the second season which is why I really stuck to my own aesthetic. That was really flattering, that people responded so well to my designs. What is a message Sommer Swim hopes to portray in every design created? Body confidence is someone we want every girl wearing our designs to feel. We want women to feel well womanly! We’ve had some many amazing messages over the years of customers who have purchased not sure if they will be OK with a skimpier style but after trying it say they felt like the cuts really flattered their figures and they won’t be going back to fuller coverage suits. What is something Sommer Swim would like to say to their loyal customers and fans? Gosh - just a huge thank you and so much appreciation! We have customers who have been with us the entire ride since the beginning and honestly seeing ladies out there just owning their bodies and feeling comfortable in their swimwear - that's an inspiration for us.

What inspires you and your career? I am surrounded by so many incredible people and I find inspiration from all of them. Starting with my family… each one of them oozes such an insane amount of talent and in such a unique way, it’s impossible not to be inspired by it on a daily basis. I also have countless friends that are so hardworking and such go-getters and many of them are also creatives doing incredible things. Strangers are inspiring too! Especially those who have become friends, like the other girls in this issue of Modeliste Magazine — Nicole, Luana, and Cenit. We had such a wonderful time in Antigua, and I was very inspired by each one of them for their hard work and dedication to their craft, and also for being such cool, nice girls who are fun to be around. I can’t say that about everyone that I meet, so when I do meet awesome people in this industry, it makes an impression!

Tell Modeliste readers a bit about yourself. I live in Nashville, TN which happens to be my hometown. I’ve landed there for now after a six year stint in Los Angeles and a short year living in Denver, CO. I live on a minifarm and take care of 18 animals, mostly rescues and retirees. Right now my day-job is tending to the animals and working with my competition horse. I’ve ridden and competed horses my whole life, it’s my other passion outside of music - but by night, I’m a DJ and a podcast host. But it was quite the winding road to get here! It’s no secret that I’m one of the five Cyrus kids, and I’ve spent a lifetime both in the background and the foreground of the entertainment industry. From working on the set of Hannah Montana, to signing a record deal of my own at 21, and now performing as a DJ at clubs and festivals all around the U.S… it’s been a wild ride of an adult life so far, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world! What are three goals you hope to accomplish in the new year? 2020 was set up to be a big year for my career. I was slated to go on a four month tour as an opener for Sam Hunt, and all of that came to a screeching halt because of the Coronavirus. I haven’t played a live show since March, so my career goal is to hopefully get back to performing! A personal goal for me is to practice more mindfulness in my daily routines. Lastly, my equestrian goals are to be competing consistently well in the Adult Amateur Jumper division with my new young horse, Starpower. What is a valuable lesson you learned in the year of 2020? I think 2020 has been very revealing about what is truly most important in life. We live in a world where work and career goals take the front seat and that’s where the majority of our time is spent. The thing this year has given me is TIME - time to spend with people and investing in those relationships and also time to do things that make your heart happy and feed your soul. Going forward, I’d like to find more balance for all of those things in my life!

How did you develop your career as an influencer? To be honest I just sort of fell into this whole influencer world. I was living in L.A. and my band Frank & Derol had just called it quits - due to both issues with our record label and creative difference within the band. I was only 26 and I was so burned out on music that I wanted to try something else. I signed a contract with Next Models and they encouraged me to start a fashion blog. I’ve always loved clothes and styling and I had taken photography classes in college so I had an interest in that too. So I started my blog, ‘Style Native’, shooting street style with friends in LA and simultaneously growing my Instagram account. Over the next few years, between my blog & socials, attending brand events, and working as an on-air host for Fuse TV, I noticed that I had started to become labeled as an “influencer” - and here we are! I still have ‘Style Native’, and have grown that to include beauty, travel, and lifestyle. I also co-host two podcasts, which has become a huge part of my brand as well. The first is ‘Your Favorite Thing’ with my friend Wells Adams, and the second is ‘Sorry We’re Stoned’ with my mom Tish. Where do you gain inspiration for your content? One of the reasons I love to travel so much is because of the inspiration that it brings. When it comes to style and aesthetic, I draw a lot of that inspo from where I am and/or where I’ve been. There’s something about exploring a new place and learning from different cultures that just puts a new spin on your perspective and there’s nothing else quite like it! What factors go into the content you share on your social media? Definitely the most important thing to me is authenticity. When someone looks at my Instagram page, I want it to be a true reflection of the person that I am. Of course I want the HQ photos, and the pretty presents (I am a creative, after all), but I believe that people connect with what they can relate to. So I share a little bit of everything that I love: fashion, beauty, horses, my dog Astra, photos with my family and boyfriend - and maybe my favorite thing to share which are my travel photos! What can Modeliste readers expect to see from you in the year of 2021? I really hope you find me back in the DJ booth at a club or festival near you! I’ll also be continuing weekly podcast episodes and have some exciting stuff in the works to expand on those and bring something new to the listeners!
How do you hope to influence people through your digital platforms? Any time I post something on social media, I want it to bring something positive. Maybe that’s a smile from a dog photo, a laugh through a podcast episode, inspiration to wear something new, or travel somewhere you’ve never been. My goal is always to spread light to people around me. What would you like to say to your fans? I love you guys!! Thank you for all of the love and support and a special shoutout to anyone that’s a YFTer or a Stoner - our podcast communities are so wonderful and I am so thankful for you all! What is at the top of your bucket list? When I think of my bucket list I immediately think TRAVEL, so I’ll give you my top 5 travel destination bucket list: Patagonia, Finland, Israel, Alaska, and Hawaii. What is the easiest and hardest part of being an influencer? The easiest part is definitely being able to work from anywhere and completely control your own schedule. The hardest part though for me is feeling like everything you do is being judged. Granted, the majority of my followers are so lovely and send the kindest messages of love and support, but there are always a few haters that slip through with ugly things to say. I just try to focus on the large community of awesome people that make up my social media world! If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? Recently I watched the show Virgin River on Netflix and said on my podcast, “I wanna live THERE!” It’s soooo beautiful. A small mountain town along a beautiful glacial river… and it’s a real place! A quick Google search says that it’s filmed just outside of Vancouver. Sign me up!! I’m a mountain girl at heart. How did you enjoy your stay with Modeliste at The Hodges Bay Resort & Spa? I brought my boyfriend along on this trip to Antigua - after 7 months apart this year, I just couldn’t leave him behind - and we had the absolute best time! The Hodges Bay Resort was a dream. Our suite had a stunning ocean view, and we spent a lot of our time on the small private island just off the coast of the bay, which was probably my favorite part of staying at the hotel. We’re definitely looking forward to coming back again some day.

CENIT NADIR Tell Modeliste readers a bit about yourself. I’m from a small town in San Juan, Puerto Rico and I’ve been modeling and traveling the world for almost 10 years now. Other than my passion for the fashion industry, I’m also involved in photography and other arts including dance. I would love to keep learning and continue to work on and off camera. What are three goals you hope to accomplish in the new year? I would love to go back to traveling again, it’s something that I really miss. My second goal would be to work with my dream brands and to keep growing in the fashion industry and eventually start my own brand. What is a valuable lesson you learned in the year of 2020? I learned to ground myself and to take care of my body and mind. To understand that it’s okay to rest and to unwind for a bit. I’ve also learned to be more creative and to think outside the box. How did you develop your career as an influencer? I developed my career as an Influencer thanks to my modeling career, it has really opened up many doors for me. I’ve met amazing creatives and designers that have trusted me with their vision to create different types of imagery and it slowly grew from there. I love fashion and I love creating so it goes hand in hand. I don’t have an exact plan yet, but I’m very open to whatever opportunities come my way. Where do you gain inspiration for your content? Mostly from different photographers, classic movies, movie characters or paintings. Nature and traveling also play a big part. It also depends on how I’m feeling at the moment. What factors go into the content you share on your social media? I guess I can be a bit picky when it comes to the way I share. I don’t like my content to be vain nor just about me. I love to mix it with nature and film photography of the different countries I visit.

How do you hope to influence people through your digital platforms? I hope they are inspired by the content I share, simple things like getting into film photography or to appreciate nature and traveling. What would you like to say to your fans? To always be yourself, to not copy others just because, and to work hard in what you love to do. What is at the top of your bucket list? Top of my bucket list is to travel to Asia for a month. What is the easiest and hardest part of being an influencer? Easiest would definitely have to be getting gifts, but the hardest would have to be creating and planning content in a small amount of time due to deadlines. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? I would definitely live between Italy and Puerto Rico. I think they’d be the best of both worlds. I would feel so inspired creatively in Italy, every corner is art. And I just can’t live without Puerto Rico’s beaches and warm weather. If your life were a movie, what would it be? “La Dolce Vita" by Federico Fellini. How did you enjoy your stay at The Hodges Bay Resort & Spa? I loved my stay in The Hodges Bay Resort, had the most amazing time with the Modeliste Magazine team. It was definitely the best trip I had this year and I can’t wait to travel with the team again.

What inspires you and your career? My family inspires me, my mother, a fighter, a strong woman. For me, mother is synonymous with perseverance. In my professional career, I always try to give my best. I like to share good and bad experiences, because even from bad you learn.

I am currently a student in Communications and Marketing, managing a clothing brand with very versatile and trendy styles that define me, and I am the image of some beauty and sports brands. I use my social networks to make women aware today that we are unique and empowered. What are three goals you hope to accomplish in the new year? Continue traveling the world, enriching myself with different cultures, to internationalize my brand, form a social aid NGO, and form shelters for abandoned pets What is a valuable lesson you learned in the year of 2020? That we must value and learn to be happy with the simplest things in life. How did you develop your career as an influencer and where do you plan to take your career from here? My career as an influencer was born as a hobby. Discovering that I could be an influence on many teenagers at the age of 17 made me use my platform to help and encourage changes to come from within, learn to value ourselves in order to value others and everything that surrounds us. Self-love is fundamental, only then can you give love. Where do you gain inspiration for your content? My inspiration comes from situations that I have had to live and from people that I appreciate a lot while pursuing my studies, fighting for my dreams. As for fashion, I love seeing trends and even creating my own in personal care, lifestyles, and travel, among others. What factors go into the content you share on your social media? The important factors for me are to convey authenticity, honesty, strength, and love, and be willing to fight for yourself as a woman. What can Modeliste readers expect to see from you in the year of 2021? How do you hope to influence people through your digital platforms? Basically to transmit security. I think that if you trust yourself, you can encourage and motivate others to believe in themselves, in their dreams, set them as goals, and see that there are no limits. What would you like to say to your fans? First of all, thank you for all the unconditional support. We are such a large community and I always have two phrases that accompany me: ‘The limits are set by you, there is nothing impossible’ and ‘Your dreams - trace them as a goal.’ What is at the top of your bucket list? In reality, I live in the moment a lot, but I always motivate myself by thinking about my wishes, my dreams and how to turn them into short, medium and long term goals, depending on the priorities. If I think about a maximum wish right now, it is that my family and I have full health so that we can continue to enjoy every moment. What is the easiest and hardest part of being an influencer? The nice part is that I can interact and help others. The part that probably doesn't convince me yet is being aware of how the phone takes away time, and how being a bit disconnected is something that we all always need. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? I would definitely live between Italy and Puerto Rico. I think they’d be the best of both worlds. I would feel so inspired creatively in Italy, every corner is art. And I just can’t live without Puerto Rico’s beaches and warm weather. If your life were a movie, what would it be? Tell Modeliste readers a bit about yourself. Hi I’m Mackinley Hill, I’m 23 years old. I’m from Colorado, i moved to New York City when I was 18 and have lived there ever since. I attend college as well as model on the side. What’re three goals you hope to accomplish in the new year? Three goals of mine are: to make new friends at college, get good grades of course, and maybe read for pleasure more. What is a valuable lesson you learned in the year of 2020? Patience, this year was hard and not what anyone expected. I did the best i could with the situation, I’ve definitely learned patience this year.
