Jill: What are your 5 Spring Must-Haves? Olivia: -Pastels and flower prints

Jill: What do you like to do when you’re not filming and on set? Olivia: I’m either go to the extreme and take a quick getaway for the weekend- maybe go hiking, or go snowboarding, or I’m at home literally not moving and turn on the tv and catch up on my favorite shows.

OLIVIA HOLT, is one of those girls that seemingly unknowingly, lights up the whole room. Her smile radiates her beauty and her playful energy is a magnet to all those around her. She giggles at her honesty at her obsession of using ketchup on absolutely everything and her shows off her uncanny ability to change accents to a real Southern drawl...she grew up in Tennessee afterall! Olivia is more than just a Disney girl. Her incendiary talent has propelled her from acting to a new singing career having just signed with a major record label. She optimizes the girl who has remained unaffected by her celebrity status, has stayed true to her roots, adores her family and friends and is excited about just about everything. Modeliste's Jill Winkler caught up with the starlette, and here’s what she learned.

Jill: How did you originally get into acting? Olivia: It all really did happen by accident. I grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and I did some theater but I never thought in a million years that I would end up doing it as a job. I heard about an opportunity out in LA and we made a family vacation out of it and it was all really overwhelming and interesting and intriguing and I ended up filing with an agency. Jill: What’s it like to be a Disney Channel Star? Olivia: It’s kind of surreal because growing up, the first thing I would do after school I would get my hour of watching TV and it would be Disney Channel. And I looked up to those people so much and suddenly I was following in the footsteps and it’s such a blessing. I fall more in love with my job every day. Jill: You also have a record deal with Hollywood Records which is super exciting. Who are some of your favorite artists to listen to at the moment? Olivia: Oh I’m all over the place. My dad’s was into 80s rock band and my sister listened to theater. But right now I’m really into Jess Glynne and so I’m trying to incorporate some elements of her music into mine. 30

Jill: Are you currently working on any musical projects? Olivia: Yeah, I’m finishing up my first record with Hollywood Records right now and I’m enjoying every step of the journey. Jill: Who is your biggest source of fashion inspiration? Olivia: There are so many women who kill it every time. I feel like Jessica Alba is one of those girls that I really like and I think Lily Collins is another one. Jill: You also are quite a style icon attending events like New York Fashion week and other events. How would you describe your style? Olivia: I think over the years it has changed so much but I think I’ve really found that I have a feminine style and it’s very glam and girly and glam but I also have a tomboy style that kind of reminds me of a kid running around.

Jill: What’s your favorite type of accessory? Olivia: I like earrings a lot, I like playing around with cuffs, especially rose gold colored stuff.

I’ve been wanting this bag for so long and I begged my parents for it, it was all I wanted and I take it absolutely everywhere and I’m obsessed it. That was actually two years ago and I actually just got a matching wallet for it as well this past year.

Jill: Do you have any hidden talents most people don’t know about? Olivia: I can literally pop every bone in my body Jill: Where in the world would you like to travel to that you haven’t been yet? Olivia: I feel like I want to go to Bali and I was looking at photos and it looks so beautiful and tropical but I want to go somewhere that is a lot of green, a lot of water, a lot of sun. Jill: What profession other than yours would you like to attempt? Olivia: Photography. I’m super into pictures and I have a camera, I don’t really know how to work it but I would love to take a photography class and really learn how to work a camera. Jill: You are clearly a role model for young girls everywhere. What advice would you give to those who look up to you? Olivia: Growing up, I really looked up to people who were really positive and had a really good outlook on life so I feel like as long you are surrounding yourself with people who are special to you and are making you be a better version of yourself, that’s important. Jill: You’re so young and talented and you’ve accomplished so much. What’s next for you? Olivia: Just trying to continue to do this insane job that I love so much every single day!

Modeliste: What to you is Creation? Christopher Chong: There is no definitive process. Creativity is all about freedom of the mind and heart, spontaneity and translating the intangible into something tangible. Modeliste: Tell us about Amouage? What defines the line and makes it so unique in the industry? Christopher Chong: As a brand, we will always uphold the highest standards of quality and maintain our creative integrity to make beautiful and unique perfumes that sing and tell a very different story. We pride ourselves on using raw ingredients of exceptional quality and do not sacrifice our standards to produce

a mass consumer product. Consumers nowadays are looking for a difference and want to stand out, which is why they are drawn to Amouage. We are making our own trends rather than following them to cater to customers who appreciate true artistry in perfume creation. Modeliste: What key elements go into creating your fragrances. Christopher Chong: Honesty, Integrity and Creativity Modeliste: What was the inspiration behind your latest collection? Christopher Chong: Opus X is inspired by the internationally acclaimed film The Red Violin, which tells the story of a perfect red-colored violin that travels from owner to owner over four centuries and five countries, inspiring passion and depicting the fate of each of its many possessors. In Opus X the key ingredient is the many and different facets of the Rose to create a transient rose, which represents the stories the violin has experienced during its travels. These stories become the soul of the violin. Modeliste: Your latest collection Opus X. Describe what it smells like? Christopher Chong: Opus X is a woody, floral fragrance that’s all about contrasts: radiance and darkness, innocence and seduction.

Christopher Chong: Not necessarily. Perfume is a very personal preference and people look for a fragrance that works with their skin chemistry. I believe that a beautiful fragrance is one that speaks to you on an intimate level, it should touch your heart and stir emotions that are personal to you. My advice would be to choose a fragrance that speaks to you. Modeliste: Any fragrance tips? Christopher Chong: Never go shopping for fragrance with anyone and never get too manipulated by other people’s opinions of the fragrance. No one can tell you what works best for you. Only you know what you like and don’t like. Shopping for fragrances is a very personal experience, which is also a time for you to get to know yourself better. Modeliste: What’s your favorite scent? Christopher Chong: Each one of my perfumes represents a part of who I am so, it is not possible to say which one is most like me because I impart a bit of myself in each one of my work. But I hold special affinity to some of my creations that challenge the norms and conventional tastes. FLORIANA LIMA Sophisticated, sexy and one of the hottest stars this year, actress Floriana Lima from ABCâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s The Family, shares with Modeliste what she loves most about Spring fashion, what she turns to for her ultimate beauty boost, guilty shopping pleasures and why she thinks having superhuman powers would be super cool.

Floriana: I am one of those people that asks a lot of questions in the makeup chair. On The Family, Patricia Regan is my makeup artist, and she is phenomenal. She is really great at making a little makeup look flawless. One thing I’ve learned from her is to always use a primer if you want the foundation to stay still, especially for a long shoot day. She uses Giorgio Armani fluid master primer on me, along with Armani’s luminous silk foundation, which is by far the best foundation I have used. It’s light and has such concentrated pigment, and you don’t need a ton for good coverage. I don’t use foundation every day when I’m not working, but when I go out or there is a special occasion, I use that. Something I do wear every day is concealer. I have really dark circles that are hereditary, and they just do not go away so I need a good product. I have bluish circles, so I use one with an orange or salmon undertone and it really cancels that blue tint out. The trick is to mix products and not use just one thing. Like with concealer, I haven’t found one that does the trick by itself, so I will mix my favorite products to get the coverage I need. Think Isabel Marant meets every awesome vintage shop on Saint Marks Place in the East Village, NYC. She’s got rad style. I wish I could steal everything in her wardrobe.

Modeliste: Is there any role or character that you would love to play? Floriana: I am really into action lately and want a part where my character can kick ass, and hold her own in situation, like a female James Bond. If I get the chance to play a superhero with super human strength or a ridiculously cool power, I will be a very happy woman. Modeliste: Being on set and having worked alongside so many different makeup artists, are there any tips you have taken away and use daily? 56

Floriana: This year I love the whole cropped flare pant style that is happening. I also like shoulder-baring tops with a 90’s era choker, super cute. Slip dresses and lingerie tops, cutouts and colorful stripes and prints. I’m loving all of that. And now this is making me want to shop! Modeliste: Go-to piece of clothing. Floriana: My go-to is always a pair of comfy jeans, either my boyfriend or cropped. Modeliste: Upcoming projects? Floriana: There are a couple things that are in the works and can’t mention yet, but stay tuned :)

THE NAME GAME.

Robb & Lulu was born out of a desire to express art in fashion and accompanied with a 20 year love of lycra, sun and fun, swimwear seemed like the ultimate platform for self expression. Robb & Lulu in three words: Fun, colourful and unconventional. On the surface, you will be bowled over with an extreme pop of colour. Taking a deeper look, you will see attention to detail in both the unique, hand illustrated prints and the innovative design concepts. We believe that to truly feel good, one must be comfortable too! Our pieces are made to serve a practical purpose but also to reflect a point of difference in contrast to the mainstream. We are luxe but not boho or minimalist chic. We occupy a space where the wearer can define her own sense of style, through colour and print choice, despite social or fashion expectations.

The name is probably the least creative part of the brand. The eponymous name is simply titled after its founders, Rob and myself. Rob, my husband is an extremely talented designer but was swept up into the family business at a young age, despite fashion as his passion. I created this brand as a means for us to both express ourselves and to do what we truly love doing together. Robb & Lulu is so much like wearable art, what inspired your latest collection? We love the sound of ‘Wearable art’. The latest collection is very much inspired by the need to get back in touch with the art. The signature fabric prints are what set the Robb & Lulu brand aside from the rest of the market. The whirlwind of life can sometimes take you off your path and before you know it, you can be going in a different direction that you intended, so our ‘Resort’ and ‘High Summer’ collections are a clearly defined shift from our previous season, back to the art. There is very strong focus on unique textile prints, particularly in the placement print kaftans and dresses.

THE ULTIMATE ROBB & LULU GIRL.

The Robb and Lulu girl is fun, colourful in both heart and personality and slightly unconventional. She is unconventional in the sense that she doesn’t follow trends in order to feel accepted. She wears what she feels and does as she pleases. She is the type of girl who sets trends by default rather than follows them and lives life with passion. How do you continually evolve the brand? The brand continually evolves itself actually. Of course human intervention is required but in more of an intuitive way. It’s hard to explain but when something develops its own sense of identity, like a brand, you’ll find that it’s the energy of the brand itself that is quite transformative. The people behind it direct it but it is the bigger audience that shapes it. The key is to pay attention and keep open mind to these tiny shifts and developments that can lead the way into a whole new phase. 3 must-haves this season from your collection. The latest must have is our new silhouette called the ‘Action Back Halter’. A wardrobe essential, for any active girl, who dashes from swim to run to coffee without missing a beat. For a fuller cup size, you must have our ‘Full Cup Tri’. Amazing for the ladies who need added support but want to steer away from the nanna styles. To wear over the top, you can’t miss our ‘Silk Friday Dress’! Everyday can feel like a Friday when you wear this gorgeous little silk number. Are there any rules to fashion you live by? Absolutely, my fashion rules are always select clothing that makes me feel good and comfortable. If you feel good, you will look good. Nothing worse that feeling awkward from a bad wardrobe pick. I like adding colour somewhere just to brighten up the day. Usually I wear shoes that I can run in (these include high wedges) because my day is so busy and I NEVER leave home without my lipstick, even on a power walk!

GYPSEA Style Icon? Style Icon, I just can’t go past the magnificent Elle Macpherson. She was, is and will always be the quintessential beach goddess. She needs no more than a string bikini, a straw hat and a smile. Favorite Travel Destination? I love Miami and have been lucky enough to travel there several times. I absolutely loved Hawaii also for the incredible beaches, lovely people, abundance of nature and relaxed vibe. If Robb & Lulu had a Theme Song this very moment, what would it be? Haha .. ok, “Pour some sugar on me” by Def Leppard … big hair, high energy, high sex appeal and a dose of fun will do the job. There are many aspects of the brand that have that raw 80s rock vibe. What we can look forward to with Robb & Lulu in 2016. Designs for 2016 - we are expanding our beachwear offering to include fun loving items like playsuits, boyfriend pants and other cool beach fashion accessories. We are preparing for an event in Sydney, Australia currently and we hope to be present at Swim Week Miami once again. I think 2016 is going to be a BIG and busy year.

As if you needed an excuse to plan another stylish beach getaway, the Australian duo designer Emma Jones and surf photographer Scott Bauer, has brought us one of the sexiest lines of swimwear yet- Gypsea. And, we haven’t been this excited about bikinis in a long time.

Modeliste: Celebrity sightings or fans of the line? Scott: Favourite to date was Rihanna wearing our Karijini Deep V one Piece in Barbados. Emma: Demi Lovato wearing the Bellini Cap Shoulder Top at the Jimmy Kimmel show. Love her curves!

We caught up with these two very talented artists and got the scoop on what makes their line oh so unique and one of the hottest trends to hit the beaches this season.

Modeliste: Tell us about your Artist Program. Scott: The label start back in the day using my images, we then decided to get some more diversity to the label we would invite artists/photographers to do there own collections. It gives artists another medium/outlet that they rarely get access to and also helps support them by paying them for their work. We’re planning in the future to do more work with different mediums away from photography

Modeliste: Describe the overall concept of Gypsea. Create standout/unique pieces of wearable art using photography and nature as our main inspiration. Modeliste: How did Gypsea evolve into the brand it is today? Tell us about your journey. Scott: It initially start out as a bit of fun experimenting how to use wave photographs onto swimwear. With my background as a photographer I just really wanted to find other mediums for my work that were different. I bought the idea to Emma some years ago about the concept and she agreed it was something she wanted to also try. We had a lot of fun sampling and it evolved from there, we created some really cool samples and we got some really good feedback and decided to start the label. The name came from myself being a nomad as a surf photographer, constantly search for perfect waves all around the world. Modeliste: What inspired the creation of your latest collection? Scott: It sounds funny to say this every time I get asked this, but nature is always our main inspiration with everything we do. 66

But more so this collection it’s more about being active, combining cool photo prints with really functional pieces that girls can wear while they are being active in the ocean. Modeliste: How would you describe the Gypsea girl? Emma: Being a Gypsea girls is all about being yourself, having a big appreciation for nature and love of travel and life by the beach. Modeliste: What do you see as the hottest swimwear trends for 2016? Emma: For us it’s all about active functional swimwear that is flattering no matter what shape you may be. Modeliste: Are there any rules to picking out the ultimate swimsuit or bikini you live by? Emma: Generally you should pick the suit you feel most comfortable in. A confident woman is a sexy woman. Other than that there are no rules : ) Modeliste: Beach season is something we all look forward to with equal amounts of excitement and dread. Emma: Clean, crisp, I love matching colourful pieces with whites and blacks. Modeliste: Style Icon? Emma: Iris Apfel. She is an inspiration in style and mindset.

Modeliste: Tell us some of your favorites! Vacation spot: Scott: A place always close to our heart; The Coral Coast, North Western Australia. For a winter escape it’s amazing, 27 degree days, white sandy beached and it’s all about life around the ocean, surf, diving, camping on the beach. Beauty must-have: Emma: Not really one at the moment, very conscious about using natural products that aren’t tested on animals. INSPIRATION. I was first and foremost inspired to make special pieces that women can create memories in. Auguste was created around the idea of “wearing what makes you feel beautiful”… The pieces are designed for those memorable times of our lives – long weekends, days by the sea and the trip abroad you’ve been dreaming about. Our philosophy “She Lives Free” ties in with this – it’s about living a life that feels authentic and wearing pieces that make you feel like yourself. I’ve spent almost ten years as a designer, and two years ago I realized that my designed had progressed to creating more bohemian shapes, as they felt a lot more like “home” to me. It felt only natural to really focus on this, so from there, Auguste was born!

Although each collection is based on a different narrative, there are three aspects that create a synergy between each collection: ethereal silhouettes, bohemian prints, and a definite sense of nostalgia –- paying homage to the late 60s and early 70s. When I’m designing, I have this little line in my head always – “She’s the one with the moon on her mind and salt water in her soul” There’s a quote I love from cultural critic, Virginia Postrel, on the act of putting on clothing; “The outside self projects something on the world and also reflects back to you. The image of you in specific attire helps you imagine yourself as the person you would like to be.” If she feels vibrant, alive and confident in my designs, then she is an Auguste girl.
