Q&A with JEAN WATTS
Tell us how you began your music career? Well, I was working on music in Chicago for a while until I moved to LA alone. Moving to LA was the best decision I've made, but I definitely went through it all. Lots of ups and downs. It was really hard. Eventually, I made some right decisions and now my team is more amazing than I could ever ask for. I am very grateful.
Current beauty obsession? Skin care was always a big thing for me, but I feel like it is even more, currently. Probably because we are doing more video stuff lately.
What’s next for you? Upcoming projects? Oh yeah, baby! I’m releasing my first single for radio from the EP called Blow, which is a track that I feel people will really like. And then after that I What do you love about Fall fashion? release the EP and my favorite songs! I am so excited! I’ve also, started Ugh, everything! That decision changed my life. So I live to create art and to really inspire people that a healthy change no matter what the situation is, is possible. I hope to make some type of difference in the world and beat out the stereotype. Most played song on your iTunes? Any song from the album, 'Hurry Up, We're Dreaming' by M83. Favorite look from your Modeliste Cover shoot? I will always have a personal attachment to the one in the water with the abandoned boat because the photographer, Dominic Petruzzi and I swam out there, mind you this boat was pure rust and jagged. So there was no safe place to stand and with the waves crashing, it was hard not to get sucked in and out and step on something sharp. So while trying to balance on the impossible, I tried posing and looking calm in the shots. So it was a lot of fun and definitely challenging, which I love.

What did you love most about your Cover shoot in Aruba? The location! It didn't feel like work at all. And the Marriott Hotel was so beautiful and I loved my room. Shooting in the water was magical. The water felt like bath water, the stars, the music, the beach... breathtaking.
