Que pouvez-vous nous dire sur vous? Je prends des photos depuis des années en tant que photographe, j’ai aussi fait un BTS en publicité, puis une Licence Humanités (Philosophie, Lettres, Histoire, Langues), ainsi qu’un Master en Littérature comparée à l’université Paris X Nanterre. J’ai fait du mannequinat assez tard, comme un job étudiant, mais ça s’est bien passé pour moi, j’apprécie vraiment beaucoup ce travail, que je considère comme une vraie chance, on peut se transformer, jouer, découvrir des lieux incroyables et des gens passionnants. Si vous pouviez changer quelque de vous , qu'est-ce que cela serait? Je m’occuperais mieux de mon instagram, et serais plus régulière dessus, je ne poste pas toujours tout, poste quand j’ai envie, sans cohérence particulière. C’est un outil important, je m’en sers et partage des backstages drôles ou des photos de shootings, mais très spontanément sans vision globale de ma page. Ca me convient plutôt bien mais c’est un outil si important aujourd’hui qu’il faudrait s’en occuper presque à plein temps. Quelles sont vos qualités personnelles qui vous distinguent des autres? Je suis quelqu’un de très spontané, naturel, je ne vais pas hésiter si la situation le permet, à poser des questions, m’intéresser aux gens avec qui je travaille même si je ne les vois qu’une journée, et à communiquer ! Comment avez-vous commencé à être modèle? J’ai envisagé ce travail comme un petit boulot parmi tant d’autres, à l’époque je faisais serveuse, hôtesse, je faisais du télémarketing ou recrutais des donateurs pour des associations afin de payer mes études. J’ai testé le mannequinat presque par hasard, et ça s’est très vite bien passé, j’ai pu abandonner rapidement mes anciens jobs étudiants. Quelles sont vos meilleures expériences jusqu'à présent? Travailler pour des marques de luxe ou internationalement reconnues est agréable, l’organisation est souvent impeccable et le résultat parfait, mais je me suis rendue compte que mes meilleures expériences sont souvent avec des petits créateurs. Des marques jeunes ou indépendantes mettent tout leur coeur dans leur projet, souvent en équipe réduite, et comptent absolument sur vous pour rendre leur produit désirable. Ces shootings, souvent en équipes plus réduites, ont une dimension intéressante et réjouissante car on se sent véritablement acteur du projet, il y a une vraie énergie de groupe et d’équipe, une énergie contagieuse. Que pensez-vous de votre travail en tant que modèle? J’essaie toujours d’être aussi professionnelle que possible, être toujours réactive, à l’heure, savoir se préparer pour un casting ou un shooting est important. Pendant un shooting, essayer de garder la pêche même si les conditions sont difficiles, est important. Mes poses sont souvent en mouvement, la clé c’est de se sentir bien, énergique, naturelle, d’être soi-même ! -4-

Comment voyez-vous la beauté? Comme un espace de liberté, où l’on peut avoir envie de fantaisie certains jours, où l’on a envie de tester de nouvelles choses, mais aussi et de naturel. Au quotidien je ne suis pas souvent maquillée, des soins quotidiens et une alimentation saine peuvent très bien se substituer au maquillage. J’essaie aussi d’avoir des produits avec des ingrédients aussi “clean” que possible, et non testés sur les animaux. Quels sont vos projets pour l'avenir? J’ai fait une école de publicité, et je fais de la photo et de la retouche depuis des années, je souhaite vivre de la photographie sur le long terme. C’est vraiment ce qui me plaît, me passionne, faire la direction artistique d’un projet, la prise de vue, puis la postproduction jusqu’à voir son projet se concrétiser en image est génial, on est beaucoup plus actif et créatif qu’en mannequinat, ça me correspond parfaitement. Avez-vous un conseil à donner aux personnes qui aimeraient commencer dans ce milieu? Frappez à toutes les portes, et ne prenez rien personnellement. Essuyer un refus de la part d’une agence ou en casting est normal, il ne faut pas s’arrêter sur ça et persévérer. Je conseillerais aussi de ne pas se reposer que sur le mannequinat, faire des études ou avoir une activité associative, sportive, artistique peut être intéressant. Il ne faut pas oublier que ce travail est temporaire d’une part, et se donner des clés pour évoluer sereinement lorsque celui-ci se terminera. D’autre part, avoir une autre activité permet de prendre du recul sur les castings qui s’enchaînent et sur l’univers de la mode, qui reste une bulle particulière. www.sophie-be.book.fr - Insta: sophiebergeret

Can you tell us a little about you? Hm, Iâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;m portrait photographer, I live in Odesa, Ukraine and I love people. How and when did you get into photography? In 2013 I was looking for a hobby and remembered that photography was always interesting to me. Since then, photography has pulled me in. What does photography mean to you? Photography is a tool for me. With the help of which I try to express my feelings and share my idea of the beautiful Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. Definitely Portrait! Painterly portrait. I would like to be able to draw, but the universe gave me a camera instead of a brush. By the way, I found the brushes later, in Photoshop. Where do you get inspiration from? Of course music and paintings, I canâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t work without music and painting for me is always an example of form, color and composition. Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? Yes, I always try to plan, but the result primarily depends on the relationship with the person I'm photographing. Studio, on location or both? I love working with light. So there are more opportunities for me in the studio. But on locations I also like to take pictures from time to time. Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? I prefer to be a paid professional. But I would have continued to take photographs knowing that I would not receive a cent for it. For me, money is more of a by-product of what I love to do. What has been your most memorable session and why? It was young girl Lena. On that day, I decided to shoot against the rules. And accidentally found my understanding of light in portrait photography.

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? Doesn't matter at all. Old lenses with a focal length of at least 85 mm. What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? Do not start if you are not sure if it is yours or just want to make money. Can you tell us a little about you? My name is Irina Dzhul. I am a photographer from Ukraine. I am an architect and artist by education, and photos have been my hobby for many years. It has been for almost 10 years. How and when did you get into photography? Like everybody I began my hobby from small things, but every day absorbed me. Now I can't imagine my life without photography. It all started when I was on maternity leave with my children and wanted to take beautiful pictures of my family. I never thought that it would get me so. What does photography mean to you? Photography for me is a way to tell a story, to raise important questions for me. Create a story in one picture so that the viewer thinks over it and can take people into another world. My credo is the harmony of people and nature. I show what a person should strive for. For harmony with theirself and everything that surrounds them. I try to talk not only about the beautiful form, but also the content. The magical world of a fairy tale, travel in time and space, an exciting dream ... what I live every day. Almost all my works are about the soul ... because in my opinion every object, creature and person has its own story: birth, growth, adventure and death. The soul is the main character and every time it takes on a new look. I have a series of works â&#x20AC;&#x153;Soul of a Treeâ&#x20AC;?, where female models make trees alive through my picture. Because I believe that trees are living beings who see and feel everything. I also have several projects on social important topics: "God is One" about the fact that we all go to one God through different religions "Invisible" about people with disabilities and "Memory of generations" about historical global problems of our world, such as war, famine, catastrophe. Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers? I'm fine art photography, some people call me a fairytale photographer

Where do you get inspiration from? Locations inspire me most of all, so I always travel a lot and come up with an interesting image and idea for each place. I am also inspired by people and beautiful outfits. Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? I try to think over all my works from idea to implementation. I create characters on images, I often make outfits and decor myself. Every my picture has its own story, so mystical and mysterious. All my works were made in different parts of the world. I love when photography tells a story. Studio, on location or both? I always shoot outdoors, very rarely in interiors. Because everything is real in my pictures and I don't replace the background in Photoshop, I have to look a lot for different interesting places for filming. Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? I consider myself a professional What has been your most memorable session and why? Perhaps the most memorable was the shooting at the Trevi Fountain in Rome. That shoot shows how much the photographer is ready to get up at 4 am to take the perfect picture. Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? I prefer Kenon. I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark IV. Mainly on Canon 85mm 1.2 lens.There are also 135mm 2.0 and 35mm 1.4. What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? If you are fascinated by photography and have fun, then develop your skills. Photographer Ewa SzymaĹ&#x201E;ska (Poland) Can you tell us a little about you? I am a photographer and graphic designer from Poland, I have been dealing with photography for 10 years and specialize in sensual, boudoir photography. How and when did you get into photography? I worked as graphic designer in advertising agency and my favorite job was retouching pictures. One day I decided that I would like to retouch my own photos to edit the style of photography that suits me best. First it was my passion and just a pleasant way to spend a free time, but then I started getting paid jobs. What does photography mean to you? It's a job and a hobby for me all rolled into one, so it's probably the best possible combination. Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers, in fact. I don't know if I can clearly describe my style, in fact, it changes all the time. I prefer working in daylight, tight framing, detailed processing and soft shadows. Usually I don't photograph the whole body and the model fills almost the entire frame. Where do you get inspiration from? At the beginning I wanted just create something similar to the photographers whose work I admired. Now anything can inspire me: a beautiful model, interesting location, advertising campaign of a well-known brand. Do you think in advance what you want in the picture ? I usually have some assumptions, what I want to do but it doesn’t mean, that the end result will not be entirely different from the assumed one. Studio, on location or both? Mostly a location, sometimes a studio. Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? Actually both. What has been your most memorable session and why? A session that I will never forget happened at the beginning of my work as a photographer. I had to shoot a few very expensive dresses for a client. When model was ready we started shooting. In the meantime makeup artist started looking at the hanging dresses, suddenly she realized that her hand was stained with lipstick and she left red stain on few dresses. I was terrified! Fortunately, the client was understanding and the photos were great. Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? Definitely Canon and my favorite lenses are: Canon 85mm f/1.4, Sigma A 105mm f/1.4, Canon 70-200 f/4.0. What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? Model Ekaterina Litvinenko (Russia) What can you tell about yourself? I am attracted by the world of beauty, elegance, wellgroomed, blooming women - perhaps that is why I have already mastered several professions in a given direction: Imagemaker, Model,Makeup artist, Hairstyle stylist HOW DOES IT HELP ME IN LIFE? I do not work in all of the areas I have mastered with clients, but I can always apply the knowledge gained to my advantage: I do my own makeup on set and at home. I can choose a style for myself and my children in everyday life or for a photo I know how to use professional cosmetics for the care of face and body skin, hair and nails at home. I know how to pose, feel confident in photos. My principle: "Don't put a frame!" Do not be afraid of mistakes when choosing a direction for self-development or education. It seems to me that any knowledge works for you, provides a foundation, enriches, saturates you as a professional in any field, makes you a versatile, interesting, filled person. If you could change something in yourself, what would it be? Now I accept myself as I am in any period of my life - time changes, fashion changes, I change. And what yesterday seemed to me ugly, upset with its imperfection, tomorrow can only become a fond memory. How did you start modeling? I started working as a model back in Russia. When social networks appeared, I began to upload my personal photos and photographers and brands began to offer me cooperation. Plus I really like taking pictures, this is my love for photography, I gladly accepted various creative projects. This is a good experience for me. What do you think of working as a model? You know that photography is my crazy hobby and now it's work. I feel incredibly happy, because I managed to make what I really like, the work of my life. Therefore, I do not feel at all that I am working - I just do what I love, and I get pleasure and money. What is your beauty regimen? Beauty, of course, comes from the inside, and our appearance is a reflection of the inner world. You need to strive to look the way you want and dream. This is a lot of work on yourself. Daily routines fill me with energy. I have a rough plan for personal care. Monday: facial. Treatment options: peels, masks, eyelashes, eyebrow shaping. Everything a person needs. Tuesday: body care Treatment options: wraps, massages, peels, hydration, nutrition. Wednesday: hand care Manicure, massages, masks, peels Thursday: foot care Pedicure, foot bath, massage, peeling, body wrap, moisturizing with cream. Friday: hair care Treatment options: going to the hairdresser, new hairstyle, painting, restoration, masks. Saturday: bath. Spa, massage. I also do not forget about nutrition and sports. What are your plans for the future? Now one of the main goals for me is the success of my children, development and education. And also my success in modeling. What are your personal qualities that distinguish you from others? I live in Vietnam. There are not many foreigners here now. I look different. I have white skin, blue eyes and blonde hair. This is a plus for Vietnam. Secondly, I am a model over 30. And a mother of two children. What sets me apart from other younger models. However, some people do not understand why famous brands should invite their mother as a model. This is a lot of advantages, primarily for the brand: 1. Audience loyalty: in fact, many clients of famous brands are mothers. And lookbooks in which the model is similar to themselves immediately evoke sympathy and trust in customers. 2. Non-standard approach. Today the trend is towards naturalness and lifestyle format. People are pleased to see not only perfect girls in ads, but also themselves. 3. Relevance. Proactive, fashionable mothers who manage to be both the keeper of the hearth and find time for themselves and their projects are the trend of our time. By inviting such models, brands support women who choose this lifestyle. What are your favorite experiences so far? For example, right now I understand how much I love my age: I am still so young, but already so mature. And I am the mother of two wonderful daughters - it's magical. I thank the Universe for the fact that every year and day I have lived has brought me to where I am. I gained invaluable experience. I now live by the sea, sun, wonderful weather. It's great. What advice would you give to those who want to start modeling? Be yourself. After all, only being himself, a person opens up to 100% and acquires an individuality that attracts. ^ It's never too late to start. I only started modeling when I was 28. I am now 31 years old. And this is just the beginning. ^ Be friendly and tactful, persistent. High motivation is what helps the model to achieve serious success. Photographer Gary McGillivray-Birnie (Norway) Can you tell us a little about you? International photographer, and a Master of Photography, specialises in the genres of beauty and fashion. Based in Stavanger, Norway. I describe myself as a creative visual artist who uses a camera and dramatic lighting, to define a portraiture style recognised and known for intrigue, edgy but authentic feel. My goal to transform light to create powerful emotional images. An endless series of projects, inspired by black and white photography. Focusing on aesthetics of visual storytelling, quickly led to commissions and steadily in demand. My creativity has been published in leading magazines and numerous images awarded in the vibrant creative community. I’m always excited when projects allow me to meet new people and travel to new places. Recent locations include UK, Norway, New York, Florida, Los Angeles, Kazakhstan, Dubai, and Australia. I’ve also have earned the title Master Photographer in Portrait (MPP) from MPI. How and when did you get into photography? We all start out saying, well as a kid……but more recently in 2015 I got the drive and passion, to bring this hobby to fruition. A little funding from my day job helped. Ever since, I’ve been on this journey and continuously improving. What does photography mean to you? Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. I like to think I have my own unique style. It’s always difficult to say if your images stand out from a crowd. I love black and white, and I use this in a visual way, through my viewfinder. Viewing how much contrast I want prior to pressing the shutter. I strongly believe the way I shoot, combined with the attraction to portraiture, especially tight shots, is one specific attribute to my style. Where do you get inspiration from? I’m a huge fan of Peter Coulson, therefore his work has been my starting point in my own development. Many references for inspiration come from viewing many images I have collected over the years, or from things I see looking out the window or from others I checkout on social media. I’m always trying to recreate lighting and put my own spin on things. This something I love to do. Studio, on location or both? Either on location or in the studio, my subject and lighting are my priorities. Location isn’t. What has been your most memorable session and why? Attending a photographic workshop with Peter Coulson on location in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This is was a 5-day workshop, where Peter explained how to use lighting, from the street in a midday sun, night-time and in the studio too. Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? My Hasselblad medium format camera, my Sony mirrorless A7riv. Favourite lens on my Hasselblad is 150mm lens and on the Sony an 85mm. Combined with my Profoto lighting equipment and my editing Eizo display. These are my main creative tools. What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? I would love to know the answer to this question. Can you tell us a little about you? I am a graphic designer by profession, and photography is my hobby which allows me to realize myself. I also run Photoshop and lighting courses in my studio. Many years of experience allows me to achieve an effect in photos that is a problem for someone. How and when did you get into photography? In 2014 I bought my first professional camera and went to my first photography workshop. This is where my adventure with photography began. What does photography mean to you? Meeting new people with whom I have a great time. With the help of photography, I am able to implement my ideas by giving them colors that suits me. I can create reality and that's the coolest thing about it. Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. I like portrait art in studio the most. Flash light gives me many possibilities. I go outdoors less frequently, but sometimes I have to when I see beautiful flowers or meadow, I know that I want to do a session there. Where do you get inspiration from? I make up most of it myself, sometimes at night when I can't fall asleep, the best ideas come to my mind. Sometimes I look at Pinterest and sometimes I’m inspired by music video or film. Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? Yes, my photo is planned from the beginning to the end. Creation, makeup and place are always selected in advance and matched to the model. Studio, on location or both? I like both the outdoors and the studio, but I still prefer the studio because I have everything at hand. What has been your most memorable session and why? Photographer Krzysztof Piwowarek (Poland) Winner Of The Month Can you tell us a little about you? Photography has always appeared in my life, although only in an amateur way. I wasn't using the camera properly, playing with it only in the automatic functions. Doipier, being a group of photography enthusiasts for 4 years, I noticed that I can do nothing and that what I do is a simple amateur who has little to do with being a person who can even be called a pseudo-photographer. I have completed a series of personal group trainings which have opened my eyes what it means to work with light, lamps, light modifiers, lenses how to use them, manual work with a camera and many other interesting facts for me. So I started to invest in equipment, when I set up my premises, I made my own studio where I could slowly enter the world of more interesting photography which started to bring me great satisfaction. So, for 4 years until today, I develop my interests from occasional, wedding, portrait, sensual, female and fashion photography. As a matter of fact, I like to take various photographic styles, which can be seen in my works, and to this day I am not sure what is the best for me :) That's the truth How and when did you get into photography? As I mentioned, since 2016 I have been dealing with photography, i.e. 4 years, Yes, I am a very young photographer, not necessarily age because I am 47 years old hahaha :) Everything is still ahead of me. :)

What does photography mean to you? Photography is my horse. Do you think in advance what you want in the picture -? Yes, I always try to prepare for sessions, photos. I always plan how to create a given person, in a given clothes, styling, hair, makeup. I care about preparing both sides for photos so that my work communicates the beauty and the best that a given person has. Of course I plan very often and something better will come out in the process, which I am proud of. What has been your most memorable session and why? Honestly, I don't have the best or worst session, each of them is different and brings something to my life. I did about 200 commercial photoshoots and I mark TFP within 4 years. Sometimes I had 3 sessions and occasional events during the day and if you want, you can :) Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? I started my adventure with Canon, currently I am taking photos of Cano Eos 5d mark IV and Sony Alfa7 III. These two cameras are enough for me at the moment and I personally think that with worse equipment you can make a great photo, of course, with good post-production. The lenses that I use are a wide range of 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, 105mm, 130mm, 75-200mm light from f1.4 to f2.8. Of course, for events I use 24-70mm f2.7 or 16-35mm f2.8, I like to have the equipment I need for various occasions, so I have what is necessary in my work. What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer? I myself am at the beginning of my photographic path, because as I mentioned, I have been dealing with photography for 4 yearsI think that what but I can recommend is to try to develop your style, taste and work hard to make the photo as interesting as possible. Photographer Marketa Novak (Czech republic) Can you tell us a little about you? I am photographer from Prague. My portfolio was created and shaped by the influence of the environment I live in. I grew up on a housing estate in the capital, and to me, trips to nature were a part of the fairy-tale present in this world. Later, I started to connect these themes with people who fascinated me by the breadth of their feelings and expressions. Over time, I started to enrich these tales of peopleâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s connection to nature. How and when did you get into photography? I started dedicate to photography when I was young. The impulse was my father. His hobby was photoshooting and creatings photos. I always used to take his photoaparate. I started take photos of animals and nature What does photography mean to you? Shooting is a relaxation for me. I take photos full of calmness and love. Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. My work is based on admiration and love to nature. I really love fairytales topics, because always there is happy ending. The meaning and motto of my work became the words of the impressionist painter Renoir "there are enough inconsolable things in the world than we have to produce more" my work desire to create a space for people to stop, relax and dream in the everyday hustle and bustle of life. Where do you get inspiration from? My greatest inspiration is for me love and admiration for nature. Very often I create the photographs with desire to show my audience that we are inseparable part of nature around us. Writers are another important inspiration for me. I'm a big lover of Tolkien's stories. I have a romantic personality and I like to believe in happy endings, honesty and character, that's why I often work with fairy-tale themes that awaken this in me. Model Alex Yun (Belarus) Can you tell us a little about you? My name is Alex. I was born in Belarus but have a mixed heritage of Russian and Korean. This is reflected in how I look and represent the cultures I very much enjoy. I would say Iâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;m a creature with a mind of my own and a wish to present an artistic vision of it to the world.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be? I don't think I can find something that I would want to change right now. How did you start modelling? I started modeling many years back when one of my friends suggested trying to take some pictures. Later on, we created my first portfolio on Model Mayhem. I have my new account there started not long time back: MM# 4573843. What do you think of the work as a model? Working as a model is something that I enjoy a lot. Usually, I'm taking photoshoots very seriously and trying to look my best. I think communication and a certain level of empathy with the photographer are vital for achieving the best results. What is your beauty regimen? I appreciate quality sleeping. There is nothing that can make me look better than consistent, long sleep. I like to wake up as early as possible. Somewhere between 5 and 7 a.m. is the best for me. Exercising few times a week, extra stretching here and there. I can spend hours just walking in Nature since that's what gives me energy. What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others? I think I am good at being honest, not judging, understanding, and accepting others' weaknesses. What are your plans for the future? Future has a connection with everything I do today. Let's say, in 10 years would love to see me as a model and successful artist. Verder heb ik enkele eigen zaken zoals A.I.D.bv, Full Support & Services en A.I.D.Outdoor. Hoe en wanneer ben je begonnen met fotografie? Fotografie heeft altijd mijn interesse gehad, maar de doorbraak is gekomen een jaar of 5 geleden toen mijn vriendin mij meevroeg voor modellen te fotograferen voor een videoclip waar zij als styliste werkte. Wat is je juiste doel? Mensen gelukkige maken met mijn foto's, ik werk veel met jonge modellen, zij worden ook zelfzekerder als ze enkele malen voor de lens hebben gestaan en dan zeggen, waw ben ik dat ? Het is altijd fijn dat je modellen ziet groeien en wij begeleiden hun daarin in de mate van de mogelijkheden. Wat betekent fotografie voor jou? Voor mij is fotografie een vorm van kunst, creatief bezig zijn met licht,props en styling en het beste bovenhalen uit de modellen om mooie foto's te maken. Waarin vind je dat jouw werk zich van anderen onderscheid? Wij werken steeds in teamverband, dus mijn vriendin zorgt voor de styling en de props, vaak ook als mua, in sommige gevallen zorgen wij ook voor een hairstylist. Omdat wij 1 studio ingericht hebben met een bed kunnen buitenlandse modellen ook overnachten, zij worden echt in de watten gelegd, dat maakt dat zij graag terugkomen naar ons voor een shoot. Een model moet zich op haar gemak voelen bij een fotograaf en dat zie je vaak ook in de foto's. Waar haal je inspiratie vandaan? Vaak uit het dagelijks leven, films, magazines, locaties en licht spelen ook een grote rol.

Stephanie Bedenk je van te voren wat je op de foto wilt hebben? Meestal wel, maar ik durf geregeld afwijken eens ik aan het shooten ben, het hangt ook af van de expressie van het model, de input die ik krijg tijdens de shoot van de mua of het model. Bewerk je je foto’s en wat doe je eraan? De bewerking van de foto's in photoshop is vaak huidonzuiverheden en een bepaalde sfeer accentueren door te spelen met de kleuren. Naar waar gaat je voorkeur, Locatie of studio? Mijn voorkeur gaat uit naar locatie shoot met daglicht, alhoewel ik studio ook graag doe. Wat of waar wil je absoluut nog eens een keer fotograferen? De rijstvelden in Bali met een mooi model. Wat is het belangrijkste wat je de afgelopen jaren geleerd hebt? Dat je moet genieten van het leven, en dat je iedere dag nog kan bijleren. Wat zoek je in de modellen waar je met samen werkt? Ik zoek een bepaalde uitstraling, vaak is dat gerelateerd aan een bepaald concept waar het model in dient te passen.

Wat zijn je toekomstplannen of wat kunnen we binnenkort van je verwachten? Ik hoop binnen de 5 à 6 jaar mij fulltime te kunnen bezighouden met fotografie en binnenkort mogen jullie een excusieve shoot in jullie magazine verwachten :-) Wat vind je van ons nieuwe magazine? De online magazines zitten echt in een opmars, via de sociale media komen er veel nieuwe magazines. Modellenland is echt wel een top magazine dat zijn naam waardig is en kansen creeërt voor mensen, ik wil jullie ook bedanken voor het interview. Heb je nog een boodschap naar de modellenwereld? Model Jurate Stasiunaite (Lithuania) Can you tell us a little about you? I started working at 19. My goal was to travel extensively and become independent from my parents. I have realized those goals already. Japan was my dream land and I always wanted to stay there. I did that too for 8 years. I started my own brand of high-end leather goods which saw reasonable success. Now I’m at the point in my life where I want to follow my next passion, interior designing and currently focusing on it. If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be? It’s so easy to sit and look at yourself and pick out flaws, especially being a model and having to see yourself in photos regularly. With social media having such a huge impact on our generation, it’s very hard for young people to not have insecurities when seeing influencers and models on their screens, daily. I think there is a misconception that models are very confident within their own skin, I for one am not and I know so many fellow models who have self confidence issues. My main aim is to use my platforms in a positive way to ensure others feel confident and happy with who they are. How did you start modelling? I have been modelling for 10 years since being scouted in Vilnius main street, when I was age 19. I have modelled in Lithuania as well as abroad for editorial, print, look books, artistic fashion, fashion shows and commercials. I have modelled in Japan, Malaysia, Italy, India, S.Korea, France. Modelling also got me into Beauty pageants. What do you think of the work as a model? I think it is a demanding but also very rewarding job. It requires a lot of self-discipline both in terms of body and mind. You need to always believe in yourself in a very competitive industry. Modelling helped me with personality development, gave me confidence in myself and in this process, indirectly prepared me for the corporate world. What is your beauty regimen? Every morning I’m drinking warm water. Warm water flushes out the toxins, including fat deposits. Also I like to walk a long distance. Sometimes I’m walking more then 10 kilometers for day. But the most most important is balance in everything! A good amount of sleep, healthy food, peace of mind and right people around you. What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others? I believe everyone is different and beautiful in their own way.Im competitive with myself and never with others.I love to teach and learn from the others. Always calm and I do have good patience. What are your plans for the future? I hope to leave my mark on the world in the minds of the people around me. I want to help as many people as possible. What are some of your favorite experiences so far? My favourite experience is that I could participate in the most popular beauty pageants around the globe! I didn't think I could ever have enough confidence in myself to be a beauty pageant contestant, but it happened. Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling? Be ambitious, but in same time stay humble, be bold, be yourself, be respectful, never be late, never flake, don’t take rejection personally.… Don’t take no for an answer, go for the casting you think you won’t get, and meet new people. You never know where the breakthrough is going to come from, you can only trust that if you keep on trying, things will come your way. Can you tell us a little about you? Pleasure, i am Aldo, a 65 year - old man, born in Montalto Uffugo ( CS ). How and when did you get into photography? In 1980 I left painting to devote myself to the so-called "new art". What does photography mean to you? Photography for me is a tool to externalize the art that is inside me, to photograph the moment, to take back a mood, to photograph an outfit to make it eternal. Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. My style is simplicity! I love shooting mainly outdoors and shooting my subjects set in nature and in old buildings such as castles, villas, abandoned artifacts or on the beach. Where do you get inspiration from? I take inspiration from nature and painting. Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? I think the photo first, as well as the location based on the project I have in mind. Studio, on location or both? I mainly prefer to shoot outdoors, but when needed also indoors, preferring natural light, and limiting artificial light to a minimum. Model Nuccia Federico

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? I am an advanced amateur photographer. What has been your most memorable session and why? One of the most beautiful sessions I made was a few years ago, when during the Cosenza Fashion Week, I photographed the creations of Sladana Krstic and Giuseppe Fata, two great artists! Can you tell us a little about you? My name is Aron and I live in Wrocław. It is one of the biggest cities in Poland with a beautiful river, interesting architecture and worth seeing monuments. But I haven’t always lived here. I used two live in Germany for eight years. That’s where I accidentally find my biggest hobby – photography. How and when did you get into photography? My first thought of becoming a photographer appeared in a very strange situation, when a famous Polish war correspondent Waldemar Milewicz was killed in Iraq. Instead of being afraid and anxious, I told myself that the work of a photographer must be very interesting. But I gave up that idea. I came back to it years later- in September 2019. There is a very interesting story connected with the start of my job. When I moved to Berlin, I was feeling very bored. I came up with an idea of photographing homeless people. I found out that taking photos was the thing that gave me happiness. Furthermore, I really liked my photos and other people did, too. Then, I bought my first professional camera and I started making photoshoots. What does photography mean to you? Photography is primarily fun for me. It makes me happy and relaxes me at the same time. It is an escape from problems and every day life. Catching a second that will never happen again is just incredible. Photoshoots are also an opportunity for meeting new, interesting people. Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. I photograph mainly portrets, but I’m not limiting myself only for this. I love showing the indyvidual history of every person and I try to demonstrate the most beautiful side of them. In photography, I can notice something that no one else will see. I like natural photos, without over editing. As they say, if you don’t feel anything in what you are looking at, you will never manage to make other people feel something when they are looking at your photos. I think that model shouldn’t look like a whole different person on a photo of her. When my model feels satisfied, I feel the same way. Studio, on location or both? I can’t choose only one. My only condition is a sufficient amount of light. The play of light is the most important thing in photography for me. - 218 -

Where do you get inspiration from? Ideas for photos are born in my own head. Really small things can inspire me. One time, I was walking with a model in a tunnel under the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw and I saw a flare of light. I asked her to stand in that place and I accidentally shot her best photo. It always happens like this. Impulse, idea and shot. Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? The only thing I plan is a model’s outfit. I never search for inspirations earlier because the best ideas come in one moment. Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? I would call myself a hobbyist with a dream of becoming a professionalist. I can’t declare myself as a professional photographer because I don’t have enough job for me to be satisfied. What has been your most memorable session and why? I took part in a lot of great photoshoots with very beautiful models. Besides taking photos, I also spend much time on editing them, so I think about photoshoots over and over. Every photoshoot stays in my mind. But the one I admire the most took place on the yacht in the Gulf of Szczecin. The lights were spectacular, so the photos came out really extraordinary. Everything was perfect – models, scenery and climate. It was awesome.

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? Nikon or Canon? From the two of them I definitely choose Sony. Its focus is outstanding and it just crashes competitors. I used to be Canonâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s maniac but when I first had Sony in my hand and started my adventure with it, I just feel in love. Sigma 105 mm 1.4 art is my favourite lens which I use daily but every single lens from Sigma from series Art are worth recommendation. What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer? The most important advice is not to give up and practice a lot. Beginners should use every opportunity for taking photos, try new things, places and experiment with light. The other, very important thing is not to regret money for self development and new equipment. Young photographers should wisely choose the hardware and tuitons they participate. Can you tell us a little about you? Well, I'm 32 yo sarcastic enthusiast of coffee & cigarettes who is crazy bout Salvador's Dali art, and David Bowie music. I'm a bookworm and enthusiast of british sense of humor working as chef and model by accident ( I know this is extraoridynary compilation, but it's true) If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be? My look, my body and face are quite nice genetic mix, so I think that they're are great the way they're and I'm proud of it. If I could change anything in myself I would rather work on my personality, and character. It's as much important as workin on your body, and inner balance is a key to fortunate life I think. How did you start modelling? By accident, really! I was about 17 and my mother's friend daugther needed tall and skinny girls to her gratudation fashion show. I've never thought about modeling before, and was pretty sure that this fashion show is one day adventure. Well, It wasn't....Modeling stole my heart and started very important part of my life, my job and also my passion, from almost 15 years. What do you think of the work as a model? It's not as easy as people think that it is. You have to be self confident, disciplined and open minded. You meet a lot of people almost every single day, and have to learn how to cooperate with them, how to be kind and respectful fore everyone. Face and body are important for sure, but attitude and being ready to hard work are important as well. What is your beauty regimen? Well actually I don't do anything special. I walk a lot, sometimes practise yoga and care about my diet. Easy natural food it's important to make my body fit and good looking. I don't use so much cosmetics in my daily routine, and rather choose a coffee peeling that ''very expensive and popular'' one from the drugstore. What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others? My ''Merida'' look for sure. I have about 18 tattoos, pale skin and freckled face. What are your plans for the future? Let's face the true. In models reality I'm not young, 32 it's sometimes to much, but I don't care! I'm gonna posing as long as it would be possible, without being sorry for my age. What are some of your favorite experiences so far? One of the most incerdible project was videoclip of Hedone ( alternative rock band from my country) I was walking through the night, through empty streets with cigarette in my hand, plume on my head and I was pretty sure that I'm in another dimension. Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling? Work girl! Every single day! Develop your skills, be respectful for the others and belive that you're good enough to concqure the Universe! What do you think of the magazine? Can you tell us a little about you? I was born and grew up in Poland. I studied and lived in Berlin, where I did my master degree in New German Literature, Spanish Literature and General And Comparative Literature Studies. At the same time I did my master degree in German studies in Szczecin, Poland. When my father fell seriously ill, I returned home and started working in a family business. To this day, I work and live here, with my husband and our two wonderful children. How and when did you get into photography? It was shortly after the birth of my second child, almost five years ago. I wanted to be able to photograph my children beautifully so I started to learn how :) What does photography mean to you? Photography is my passion, way of catching my breath. It is a part of me, which I love to get lost in, be surprised by, part, where I do get to create versions of realities that resonate with my sensitivity, most. It is precisely when I enter this sphere, I rest the most. It’s always the photos, I am in a process of creating that are the last thing on my mind, just before I fall asleep. Being “in the moment”; observing the nature and all that is around me, seems to be an endless source of an inspiration. Little details I focus on, somehow end up being a content of picture growing and maturing within me, I will pain one day. Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. I have been struggling with depression for several years and photography is a kind of therapy for me. I pour out the feelings that I have inside me on pictures, creating stories that allow me to work through the emotions that torment me. I try to play with photography, often giving another dimension to normal scenes. Sometimes they are colourful like in fairy tales and sometimes very dark and whimsical like in Pan’s Labyrinth. Photography opened my eyes and allowed me to see more of the world around us but also inside us . Through the photos, I also express my dissatisfaction and disagreement with the actions of the current government in Poland. For Example with the picture ´Ophelia 2020´ (Model: Nadia Krawczyk) I tell the story about LGBT+ youth in Poland. In a country where, according to President Duda, LGBT+ persons are not people but ideology, in a country where LGBT free zones are created. In my beautiful Poland, the hatred fueled by the Catholic church and PIS government pours into the lives of these kids and they drown in it. This picture is a hommage to Michał, Kacper, Wiktor, Zuzia, Milo, children who have committed suicide. Two other pictures ´Committee for Perinatal Care I´ and ´Saturn´ (Committee for Perinatal Care II) concern the situation in the Polish health care and the ban on abortion, which was introduced despite the protests of the majority of the society and with the support of the Catholic Church. Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? It can really be different. Sometimes I photograph an idea that I've had in mind for a long time. I know exactly what the final photo should look like and that is my goal. It also happens that the photo I take doesn't come to life until post-production. Suddenly an idea comes up and all previous plans go to hell ;).

Studio, on location or both? At the beginning of my photographic journey, I took pictures wherever I could, but lately it's only a studio. I am slowly beginning to miss the space in my photos, so I may be leaving my four walls again. Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? Hobbyist. What has been your most memorable session and why? The session at the children's oncology ward was the most memorable and emotional. My cousin's little daughter was also at this station, so together with another photographer Kamila Celary we decided to give the warriors a day of relaxation so that they can forget their struggle with the disease for a while and have a nice souvenir. On my way out of the hospital, I peered into the room and saw tiny feet on the hospital bed. To this day I have this image in my head and I think it will stay there forever. What is your proudest moment as a photographer/artist? Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? Canon 5D Mark III, sigma art 50 1.4, but I dream about sigma art 24 1.4 for portraits. What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? I believe, the most important thing is, to analyze both, your own work and work of others… Testing what does work? What doesn’t? Where can the improvements be made? Without analysis, it is hard to grow, learn and move forward. I spent a lot of time contemplating, studying, analyzing the details of work, of the photographers whos work I love. I analyze possible reasons and aims of technics used, wanting to get to the bottom of the way they think and conclude. I wonder what light they have used and why? The same applies to accessories, clothes, hairstyles, backgrounds and colors. Photography shows me a piece of the soul of a photographer. Kind of a fingerprint that cannot and should not be copied but used as a pointer, directing towards a source of an inspiration of the particular author and source of a beauty, one can feed their wondering soul off. I’m a photographer and also a mother and a wife. How and when did you get into photography? I became interested in photography as a teenager over 20 years ago. I started taking analog photos, spending long hours in the darkroom. Over time, this passion turned into a profession. Currently, I run my own company offering photography services. What does photography mean to you? Photography as an opportunity to create is a great value in my life. I still have a head full of new ideas that are reflected in photography. Besides, thanks to photography, I can run my own business and be my own boss;) Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. I deal with artistic photography to a large extent. I make fine art portraits. Where do you get inspiration from? I find inspiration everywhere: painting, films, books, pop culture icons, but also in nature and people. Model: Julia Tąpała Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? Yes, each of my sessions is planned and thoughtful, although I am flexible. If something doesn't go as planned, I can easily change the concept. What do you think of the work as a model? I think that through photography you Can express the world and if you are a model with passion and love, then you are Making art. And I love art. What is your beauty regimen? For me, its all starts with a good varied diet, sport and Care for your body and face. Make-up and every thing else comes later.

Photographer Artur Artistically (Poland) Can you tell us a little about you? I'm 47 years old. I was born in Poland. I have been living in Germany for 8 years. I am a construction expert, PMI project manager, and photographer. I don't like to submit to standards or think in the standard. It bothers me when things go too easily. I like to break down doors, look for new solutions. Sport shooting was my hobby, especially in the Trapshooting competition. During my student days, I worked extensively in the community. I love nature and hiking in the mountains. I like meeting new, often amazing, creative, and inspiring people and their stories. I consider myself a fairly calm person, but sometimes I can explode and surprise myself. How and when did you get into photography? I took up photography in 2015. I was looking for a job, a hobby, knowing that I would stay home for many months due to illness. I photographed as a teenager and decided to return to my old hobby. Having spent a lot of time, I tested individual systems in full-frame and APS-C, Nikon, Canon, Fujifilm, and Sony as well as dozens of lenses, mostly manual. I was also interested in photo printing and color management. However, all this time I felt I was not ready. There was always something wrong and I didn't accept the effect. I have been professionally involved in photography for half a year. What does photography mean to you? Photography frees me. It gives me confidence. Even during commercial sessions, I feel free, I feel in control of everything. It allows me to bring out what, while working in my other professions, had to be squashed and stored inside me. Photography added flavor to my life and it is what I missed. Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. Technically, my photography style depends on the quality of printing in a larger format. I love sharpness in photos, even sensual ones. I have my printer and I usually print portraits in the 90x60cm format. I don't take pictures for the screen. This requires a picture with a large number of pixels, as sharp as possible. Wherever I wish there was a blur, I have to achieve it only through the plasticity of the lens. Also, work in post-production is focused on the quality of details and the exclusive use of non-destructive techniques. Artistically, I would like the people or objects presented in the photos to be simply beautiful and perfectly suited to the needs for which they were made. - 292 -

Where do you get inspiration from? I think it is from everything my eyes see and probably from what I have experienced so far. I cannot answer this unequivocally because I do not believe that I have any direct influence on it. However, it is never the case that I save a photo and find that I will take an identical one. Of course, I could, but it doesn't make sense to me. What has been your most memorable session and why? Definitely the story. Taking advantage of the break in the restrictions related to the Coronavirus, between November 23 and December 5 (12 full days) I went to Poland, traveled 3500 km, and organized 26 sessions. Just me and models. Only sessions, protection of photos, and their selection. It was a really crazy time.

Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? In professional commercial photography, there are no photos without a preliminary plan. Since the client has plans for the effects of the session, it should be considered. By analyzing this, I am convinced that what I am planning will bring out exactly what the client wants in the pictures. A close-up and a panoramic shot are not the same and will have a different effect. The composition, place, light, interior design or background texture, the choice of clothes, and even the model's mood influencing the possibility of expressing emotions. Planning for this is fairly easy for me and more instinctive than taught. Another issue is the creative spontaneity in the session itself, but it depends on the people who co-create the session and not on the previous plan.

Studio, on location, or both? These are just tools on the way to your goal. Only the effect and therefore the photos are important. If the studio is better, it is ok, if outdoor photos are necessary, they will be there. A winding staircase, an abandoned factory, or the interior of a vintage car? It has to be, so it will be. A beach with scorching sun and the need for a diffused panel for better light control? It has to be, so it will be. I also often take photos in apartments and here, too, the location will not be accidental. I just need to be in control of what should or may affect the final expression of my photo. Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? Only for a paid professional. I am a construction expert and photographer. I have to divide my time solely into these two passions. Accuracy is my real obsession, but it's natural. It comes right out of me. Everything I do professionally, I do the best I can at the moment. The work I do provides me with professional fulfillment, a lot of satisfaction, and does not interfere with my private life. I am really lucky in this regard.

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? Neither Nikon. Neither can Canon. I do not stand on either side in the age-old discussion. Technically, I am completely familiar. I am currently photographing on a 42 megapixel Sony A7RII and mainly Sigma 35mm 1.4 Art, 85mm 1.4 Art, and 70-200 2.8 Sports lenses. These are my favorite lenses and VoigtlĂ¤nder Macro APO-Lanthar 110mm 2.5. The hardware must only help me do what I want to achieve. However, my dream is the mirrorless large format Fujifilm 100 GFX. What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? To think carefully about what type of photography he would like to take, what he would like to photograph the most. Photography is an art but it is also a business and it should be innovative and fresh. You should be fully aware of the technical issues: camera, lens, lighting, and color management. It's worth taking the risk and showing your style. It's worth being original and not copying others to become their next clone. It is worth opening up and shouting only the truth. Absolutely not to judge yourself and let others judge you. What do you think of our new magazine? I confess I didn't know this magazine before. It's great and I like it very much. It is important for me that it is an independent title. The presented photos are of a very high standard. It is an interesting source of inspiration. You show photography and modeling from their best side and effects.
