From the editor Editorial issue 24 - August 2018 Modellenland Magazine is a fresh, new submissionbased editorial publication that celebrates the true art of fashion and the emerging artists behind it.

Modellenland is a Free Belgian magazine but we accept also entries from other countries. Everybody can publish for free ,photographers, MUA, stylists, models, good amateur, students, semiprofessional, professional etc... The focus will not only be on fashion, but food, lifestyle, animals, landscapes, are also welkom.

Modellenland Magazine is a fashion, beauty, editorial and conceptual art magazine and will be published monthly. The goal is to show our submitters their portfolio worldwide to model and PR-agencies, and brand labels.

This wedding makeup editorial is inspired by the gothic fiction of romanticism era popular stories about a young, naive girl who falls in love with a deceitful lover, lose her mind and life, finally coming back as a ghost. She starts as an innocent, romantic soul, then turns into a more mature female figure - a lover and wife. At the end we observe her descent into madness and transformation into a ghost from a Victorian haunted house. The title is taken from “Songs of Innocence and of Experience” by William Blake. For most of this team, this was the second time we did something with color. The last time we were so pleased with the images we decided to do two more. Last time we did a summer edition and this is our autumn one. We asked Valariya to model for us so we have a different model on all of the series. That day we would start at 11.30 hour. This was due of the fact the stylist cloud not make it before 13.00 hours and she had all of the wardrobe. I figured out this is plenty of time to build -up the set and do the make-up. We can start shooting as soon as Fransisca (Miss Nerdy Flirty, our stylist) arrives on set. Normally this is not a problem. We have plenty of time to do this production. This day turned out to be different. Murphy would be proud. I hire a studio space in a theater building which is located near Amsterdam. Unfortunately the building management forgot to mention the space was not available for after 14.00 hours due off maintenance and upgrades to the spaces. So there I was laying on the coach in the studio evaluating my options. My stylist could not be there before 13.00 hours. We want to do six look witch take at least 15 minutes each and the changing of the set also takes 10-15 minutes. Also the Make-up needs to be changed witch will take approximately 1 hour.

Should I cancel this production knowing my team is already on route? After laying there on the studio coach It occurs to me. We can have a day off. All of us but leave empty handed. Or,â&#x20AC;Ś. We can make lemonade. We ended up taking the whole set whit us into a public parking garage. Two roles of seamless, studio strobes, a mobile background system, the whole wardrobe (six different looks plus extra). We even took the music so we can have those positive vibes on our improvised set. I became really funny. All the shopping people who parked in the garage came to see what the music and the colorful background was for. In retrospect it was great fun making these images. I love the professionalism of my team who all showed great flexibility and never hesitated for a second two cannel. I think they all did a wonderful job.

In today's world, we find a lot of inspiration on the Internet, nature, television, books and movies. Today I will show my inspirations based on the classic movie "American Beauty". For those who do not associate the film. I will say that it refers to the scene where actor Kevin Spacey fantasizes about his teenage daughter's friend on a bed full of red rose petals. "American Beauty " is a series of photos with the same name, which is to show women in all ranges posing (fashion, naked glamor). I am very pleased with the results of these photos. I always want to combine my passions with challenge and always want to improve my skills as a photographer and visual artist All the rose petals are real.
