As I sit down to write this letter for the Faces & Places of Waco issue, I find myself reflecting on my journey to this wonderful city. While I wasn’t born in Waco, this community has truly become my home. Growing up as a college coach’s daughter, I moved state to state with my dad’s job—seven states in total. It was Baylor University that brought me to Waco, and once my husband and I got married, we knew this was where we wanted to plant our roots. Before Waco, home meant wherever my family was. But since moving here, home has taken on a whole new meaning. Now, when I think of home, I think of Waco and our wonderful community. I never truly understood the power of community until I arrived here. It’s something special, and I’m grateful that Waco is the place I call home.
and raised here to feel connected and to thrive. The warmth and support of Waco’s residents make it easy to build a network of friends and trusted local experts.
When you think of “the place you went for birthday dinners,” what comes to mind? What about “your favorite teacher?” These faces and places are what make Waco so special.
From the moment we decided to call Waco home, the connections began to form. After being a part of this community for 20 years and being in this industry, I am often asked, “Who do you recommend for this?” or “Where should I go for that?” This is what is wonderful about a small-town community. You don’t have to be born
This issue of Modern Texas Living is particularly special as it highlights the unique faces and places that make Waco such a special place to live. We also have another exciting first in this issue. We are thrilled to showcase our first annual cover contest, where locals from all over submitted their incredible work. The response was overwhelming, and we are excited to feature some of these talented individuals in this issue. It was hard to narrow it down to our finalists. Their creativity and passion truly capture the essence of our beloved city.
Thank you for being a part of the Modern Texas Living family. Whether you’re a long-time resident or a newcomer like I once was, I hope this issue inspires you to explore and appreciate the wonderful community we share in Waco.

DESIGNER Janice Burkhart of Burkhart Interiors LLC
PHOTOGRAPHER Becca Lea of Becca Lea Photography @beccaleaphoto
Quiet luxury is taking its turn in every corner of this home designed by Janice Burkhart of Burkhart Interiors, LLC, keeping it on trend for this year and years to come. The clients came to Janice with specific details of how they wanted their home to function. They wanted a quiet palette, and a timeless design that they could live in and entertain in for years to come. Incorporating luxury in every room, but with a livable design .
In the family room, a floor to ceiling stone clad fireplace sets a soft mood with “clouds” on the ceiling in a wood to match the flooring. The seating area is cozy and classic, complete with a rug from Ashley Stark Carpet. This starts the theme of a bit of blue throughtout the home.
The kitchen hood is a bespoke design with the right touch of gold. It added a focal point in the kitchen that is adjacent to the fireplace clad in stone. Again, continuity prevails with the same warm, wood tone on the “clouds” in the ceiling as the island.
As a large one-story home, all the rooms needed a certain flow. Family rooms needed to flow into the kitchen, dining needed to flow into secondary bedrooms, and that needed to become a great lead into the media game room. The palette played a roll along with the furnishings.
A great example of how Janice created a connection from the kitchen area to the media/bar area is the hallway connecting these spaces. With plans to entertain in this home, she felt the hallway should be an important, not forgotten area. Afterall, it is the great pass-through to fun! Adding wallpaper in a Phillip Jeffries suiting in deep charcoal, and a bench with enough space to lounge and have a tête-à-tête. The over-scaled ceiling fixture from Visual Comfort adds just enough pop and becomes sculptural. This space then became an additional room in the home. This hallway leads to the media / game room / bar. This space has a large open sliding door that creates the perfect setup for indoor outdoor soirees. Guest can move freely inside, outside with the opening of the wall of glass. The bar and sitting area were showcased with bespoke bar stools by Burkhart Interiors. The black marble mosaic splash and mirrored splashes added the right backdrop for tequila displays.
Dubbing this home “the layover house,” attention to comfort was given in the guest suite. With sweeping views out to the courtyard and a side private patio, this area is meant to be a respite for family and friends to visit.
Clean lines in the white oak cabinetry, and a good-sized vanity top, leave a place for those overnight toiletry bags that we all carry with us. The room is equipped with beautiful sheer drapery by Burkhart Interiors that are floor to ceiling. For the sleeper that needs total darkness, a click of the button brings down shades and you are transported to the scene in the movie “The Holiday” when Kate Winslet melts into the bed from jet lag. Total darkness creates a cozy space.
Directly outside the guest suite is a coffee bar. A bit of whimsy was added with the dandelion wallpaper form Phillip Jeffries. It is in blue and white tones. Adding touches of blue throughout the home is a common theme, creating cohesiveness and a nod to the client’s favorite color. Beautiful butter leather chairs add a layer of texture and a spot for a quiet moment with morning coffee, and possibly good book.
home tour
Details are a favorite theme for Janice. She loves to add just the right number of layers for her interiors to really feel complete. She lets every new client know that a finished room is what they see on Instagram and that is her goal for every home. Incorporating beautiful soft furnishings in the guest suite, the bedding is super soft yet structured, the lamps offer just enough ambient light for late night reading. With convenience in mind, she helps to incorporate those little touches at architecture phase such as a coffee bar in the guest suite, small patios off the guest suite for private moments, windows that capture the light and window treatments to block it out.
“The master bedroom was quite a challenge” according to Janice. It was a rather long, large room and again the homeowner wanted that quiet luxury. Creating a design for a custom upholstered bed over 22 feet long, wall to wall, softened the room and is one of the highlights in the home. The difficult part was making the drawings perfect to work around windowsills, wall plugs and baseboards. This literally involved four artisans to get it perfect. One of the first pieces of furniture is in this space was the solid black marble table in the corner with the caramel leather chairs. It weighed hundreds of pounds and the delivery guys got it in the perfect spot. We added soft sheers again to let the light filter through into the room. Afterall, this view was one of the best in the home overlooking the pool. However, once again, a touch of the button got you right back to a dark cozy room for a good night’s sleep.
Right off this space is the master bath. Its stunning black iron shower enclosure is such a pop with the mosaic marble flooring from Dal Tile.
Connected to the primary suite is an indoor gym complete with a sauna, and if that’s not enough luxury then you can always take a dip in the cold plunge or the pool. With every area leading to the backyard, we have to mention the putting green, beautiful, wooded back yard and the neighbors horses always looking for greener grass, or a bite of apple.

BACK TO SCHOOL CHAOS
Practical Tips for Family Organization and Stress Reduction
Back to school season brings a mix of excitement and stress for both parents and kids. The flurry of sports, homework, and meetings can easily overwhelm anyone. Fear not! Here are some practical ideas to help keep your family organized and reduce stress:
1
On The Go Organization
Trunk organizer Look on Amazon for an organizer that will best fit your vehicle. Sports equipment, first aid kit, baby wipes, spare changes of clothes, etc. Having everything in its place and easily accessible will make hustling from one activity to the next less stressful because you know you have everything you need!
2
Command Center
Dry erase calendar for all your family’s events. Check out Etsy for customizable options, or take a quick visit to Home Goods or Target.
Family charging station. Not only does this keep all the loose wires and devices in one central location, but it helps ensure internet safety for kids. When devices are kept out in the open, it discourages overuse and secretive behavior.
3 4
Meal Organization
Sort lunch items into bins based on food groups. Have your kids pack their own lunches by choosing one item from each bin. Examples: dairy, vegetable, fruit, main course, condiment, snack.
Find a good handful of yummy crockpot meals and keep the ingredients on hand. Invest in crockpot liners for easy cleanup!
Paper plates are my go-to! I buy them in bulk. My favorites are Great Value 9” Everyday Plates from Walmart. They aren’t flimsy, and they’re not heavyduty (which I like because I don’t want to pay for heavy duty plates if that’s not what I need most often). I typically get the lowest cost per plate if I buy the 200 packs.
Drop Zone
Hooks. Find a place in a closet, in the hallway, in the garage, anywhere! If your family is anything like mine, we need multiple hooks per person. Backpack, sports equipment bags, coats, purses, work bags, and more. Getting all of these items off the floor looks tidier, gives every item a place, and feels less cluttered.

DOWNTOWN
Downtown Waco has something to offer everyone. While we love a good date night, there is so much to explore during those beautiful, sunny weekends. Start off your morning or early afternoon with brunch downtown. One of our favorite Sunday brunch spots is Barnett’s Whiskey House! They make a great, spicy bloody mary. Afterwards, grab a coffee and check out some of the cute shops downtown. Ramble & Co. has the cutest gifts, and I love browsing their unique finds.
For the more outdoorsy, there are lots of fun things to do in and around downtown Waco. Rent a scooter or take a stroll down to the suspension bridge. Afterwards, treat yourself to a juice at Oh My Juice; that Texas heat is no joke! For the coffee lovers, get an iced coffee at Dichotomy or at any of the fantastic coffee shops downtown.
FOR OUR PATIO LOVERS
As we move from summer to early fall, I love to start venturing back out to our favorite patios around Waco. Grab a great margarita near the Silo District at Hecho en Waco or check out the rooftop bar, Lucky Buck’s, at the Hotel Herringbone
You can never go wrong with Italian food for date night, so be sure to check out the patio options at Pignetti’s as well as DiCampli’s in Woodway for some great Italian fare along with a great atmosphere.
VENTURING OUT OF WACO
Willing to go outside of Waco and explore other places in central Texas for the evening? Salado is great for some small town charm with a great date night feel. Check out Alexander’s Craft Cocktails & Kitchen for dinner before wrapping up the evening with some live music or karaoke at Chupacabra

Lasting Lessons of Nannie Callie
A Grandchild’s Reflection on Love and Memory. By Julie Hays
visited my grandma on her 95th birthday recently, and something about that encounter will stick with me for the rest of my life. I grew up a few streets away from “Nannie Callie,” as we affectionately call her, in the small Northeast Texas town of Paris. She’s my dad’s mom, the wife of a World War II veteran, and a former longtime secretary of Paris High School. She raised three daughters and my dad in a home that didn’t have enough bedrooms for everyone, but it was never short on love.
She raised three daughters and my dad in a home that didn’t have enough bedrooms for everyone, but it was never short on love.
Nannie Callie is a strong woman, a devoted Catholic. She was always the life of the party in our family, but aging is now taking a toll. My sharp and witty grandmother now suffers from dementia, as many people approaching a century old do. It’s the first time I’ve been around her when the confusion and memory loss are so evident, but it’s what she can remember that struck me. While she pondered where she was and what was happening around her, I reached for the mostly black and white photos framed and hanging on the wall of her assisted living room and handed them to her. “Do you know who this is?” I’d ask. She lit up when
she saw the picture of her mom and dad on what looked like a date and clearly in love in 1944.
“What about him?” I showed her a picture of my late grandpa, Joe, who she was married to for 56 years before his death in 2007. “Oh, Joe,” she said with a deep breath and the sincerest smile as she clutched the frame. I handed her another one of her sisters and brother, who have all passed away, and got the same reaction. She not only recognized them, she spoke fondly of them, and for a few seconds, my grandma was back. It occurred to me that when life is coming to an end, the things that matter aren’t the things that often consume our day-to-day. I promise you Nannie Callie doesn’t remember her former job or bank account. She has no idea about the accomplishments the world told her were important. She doesn’t remember rushing here or there or the days she felt like she succeeded or failed. But somewhere deep down in an unexplainable phenomenon, Nannie Callie knows who she’s loved and who loved her. She is approaching 100, but I’m thankful she taught me such a valuable lesson at 43. And that’s something I’ll never forget.

IP FILLER?
Lip filler is a cosmetic procedure designed to enhance the volume and shape of your lips. This treatment involves the injection of a substance called hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring compound in the body known for its ability to retain moisture and create a plumping effect. The use of hyaluronic acid in lip fillers ensures a hydrated and natural-looking enhancement that is both safe and effective. Whether you’re looking to subtly enhance your lip shape or achieve a fuller pout, lip fillers provide a versatile solution tailored to your aesthetic goals.
REPARATION
At Waco Medical Laser, we prioritize personalized care and ensure that each client receives a thorough consultation before proceeding with lip fillers. During your consultation, you will meet with Rhonda Schaeper, our expert injector, to discuss your desired outcomes and address any questions or concerns you may have. This initial meeting is crucial for understanding your aesthetic goals and assessing your suitability for the procedure. Rhonda will explain the different types of fillers available, the expected duration of results, and the costs involved, which typically range from $250 to $700 depending on your specific needs.
NJECTION
Proper preparation is key to achieving optimal results from your lip filler treatment. Prior to your appointment, it is advisable to avoid blood-thinning medications such as aspirin and certain supplements that can increase bruising and swelling. Rhonda will provide detailed instructions on how to prepare for your treatment during your consultation. Additionally, a topical numbing cream is applied to the lips before the procedure to minimize discomfort. For those who are particularly sensitive, a dental block can also be administered to ensure maximum comfort during the injection process.
L P I R
ESULTS
The injection process at Waco Medical Laser is performed with the utmost care and precision to ensure natural-looking results. Using hyaluronic acid fillers that often contain lidocaine, a numbing agent, Rhonda Schaeper will expertly inject the filler into the targeted areas of your lips. This process is typically quick, and most clients report that the sensation is less painful than anticipated due to the effective numbing measures. The procedure usually takes about 30 minutes, and Rhonda will continuously assess the symmetry and volume of your lips to achieve the desired outcome.

The Sugar Doodles story started nearly 25 years ago when owner, Lauren Payne, was a young girl. Raised in a family of great cooks, Lauren quickly learned her way around the kitchen.

Sugar Doodles is now a destination for locals and tourists alike.
Over the last six years, Sugar Doodles has helped people all over celebrate their most important moments. And while they have grown, a few things will always remain: treat people like family, use real ingredients, and their mission—bake the world a better place...one cookie at a time!

THE Discovering Heart of Home
The Journey of James & Reid
Melissa Hoekstra, the visionary behind James & Reid Home | Antiquities, embodies the essence of creativity, community, and Southern charm. Her journey from a stay-at-home mom to the owner of a curated home and gift store in Waco is a testament to her passion for design and her unwavering commitment to serving her community. With a keen eye for unique pieces and a heart for hospitality, Melissa has transformed her love for European antiques into a thriving business that offers more than home décor and design services—it offers an experience.
The decision to venture into the world of brick and mortar was not taken lightly. After years of supporting her husband Jonathan’s career and finding fulfillment in serving her church and Bible study fellowship, Melissa found herself drawn to the world of design through flipping houses. As she breathed new life into tired spaces, people began seeking her expertise, and a gap in the market became glaringly evident— the need for a one-stop shop for highend design elements and European antiques in Waco. With Jonathan’s ’s encouragement and a leap of faith, Melissa embarked on the journey to bring her vision to life.
What sets James & Reid apart is not just the carefully curated collection of vintage pieces but the welcoming atmosphere that greets every visitor. Melissa’s upbringing, surrounded by the warmth of her grandmothers’ homes,
serves as the inspiration for the store’s ethos of hospitality. Walking into James & Reid feels like stepping into a friend’s living room – a place where you’re encouraged to sit, relax, and imagine the possibilities for your own space.
Melissa’s travels to Europe, particularly England and France, have become a cornerstone of her sourcing process. These countries, steeped in history and tradition, provide the perfect backdrop for uncovering hidden gems that carry centuries of stories within their worn surfaces. Each piece in the store (whether it’s a custom piece of furniture, designer lighting, art, or antiques) has been handpicked by Melissa, who adheres to a simple rule—if she wouldn’t put it in her own home, it doesn’t belong in the store.
One of the most exciting aspects of Melissa’s job is the element of surprise that comes with every buying trip. Whether it’s stumbling upon a set of Chippendale iron chairs in an English estate or discovering an unexpected treasure in a French market, each find adds a layer of excitement to Melissa’s journey.
But James & Reid is more than just a store —it’s a hub for community engagement and support. Melissa and her team call their customers their friends and they support various schools, causes and community groups within the Waco community. Their commitment to making a difference extends beyond the walls of the store and into the heart of Waco.
As James & Reid continues to evolve, Melissa remains focused on creating a space that reflects her passion for design and her love for people. Whether you’re in search of a signature piece for your home or simply browsing for inspiration, James & Reid offers a welcoming haven where creativity knows no bounds. With Melissa at the helm, the journey is as exciting as the destination, and every visit is an opportunity to discover something new both in the store and within yourself.

Mr. Electric
In 1994, Mike and Donna Muhlman embarked on a journey that would redefine their lives. With a dream in their hearts and a determination to succeed, they purchased the Mr. Electric franchise in Waco. What started as a leap of faith in December blossomed into reality by February 1995.
For Mike, the decision wasn’t just about business; it was about family. Years of working for others meant missing out on precious moments with their daughters. They wanted more—more time together, more control over their destiny. From its humble beginnings with Mike as the sole technician, Mr. Electric has evolved into a family affair. Donna joined soon after, and together, they’ve nurtured the business with love and dedication. With Pat, Mike’s brother, and their nephew on board, the business truly embodies the essence of family.

Carol Weaver & Alec Weaver Waco Mattress Company
Waco Mattress Company has been a Waco staple since April of 1999. Founded by Billy Weaver and his wife Carol, the store was born from Billy’s desire to leave the corporate grind and create something of their own. A venture that allowed them more quality time with their two boys as they grew up. Both Billy and Carol brought over 15 years of retail experience to their new business, driven by a passion to offer something unique to their customers. From its inception, Waco Mattress Company has been a first-generation, family-owned business that emphasizes personal customer service and quality products.
The Weaver family’s commitment to their business is evident in their hands-on approach. Their youngest son, Alec, who started working weekends during high school, remains a key part of the store’s operations. This close-knit family dynamic extends to their long-term employees, fostering a genuine sense of community and personal investment in the company’s success. Carol now leads the business, making all the decisions with Alec’s help, continuing the legacy Billy left behind. Their dedication to the business and to their customers has remained unwavering, focusing on understanding and meeting individual customer needs rather than just making sales.
What sets Waco Mattress Company apart is their deep knowledge and commitment to customer care. They understand that buying a mattress is not just about the product but about improving their customers’ quality of sleep and overall health. The team at Waco Mattress Company takes the time to learn about their customers’ sleeping habits, whether they have specific issues like sleep apnea or chronic pain, and uses this information to recommend the best mattress options. With a diverse selection of products from various manufacturers, they ensure that each customer finds the perfect fit. Additionally, their services go beyond just selling mattresses— they offer delivery, setup, and removal of old mattresses, often on the same day, underscoring their dedication to customer satisfaction.

Jeanna & John Kish
Kish Complete Car Care Center
Kish Complete Car Care Center, a family-owned business founded by Jeanna Kish, opened its doors on December 10, 1998, after a three-year journey. The inspiration for starting the business came in the spring of 1995, when Jeanna experienced poor treatment at a local auto shop. Determined to change the auto industry, especially for women, she sought the help of a knowledgeable partner who had grown up in the automotive industry. Together, they aimed to create a different kind of auto shop, one that was honest, transparent, and respectful to all customers.
Jeanna’s passion for creating a welcoming environment for women in the automotive industry was a driving force behind Kish Complete Car Care Center. After graduating from Baylor, she channeled her entrepreneurial spirit into this mission. In an industry dominated by men, she wanted women to feel comfortable and understood when discussing their car repairs. The shop trained its staff to communicate in layman’s terms and used photos, videos, or in-person demonstrations to explain needed repairs. The waiting area was designed to be woman-friendly, with magazines and a TV for entertainment, ensuring a pleasant experience for all customers. Jeanna’s goal was to have a clean, honest shop that provided facts without using scare tactics.
Kish Complete Car Care Center started as a self-initiated business with Jeanna, a partner, and one employee. They began in a 5,000 sq. ft. rented building, eventually moving to their current 16,000 sq. ft. location at 5300 Franklin Ave. Jeanna’s son, John, now manages the business operations and is set to take full ownership in the future. They pride themselves on being the cleanest shop in town, with a reputation for honesty and transparency. They offer complimentary digital inspections, providing customers with a proactive look at their vehicles and future repair needs. Additionally, they have introduced a mobile service for flat tire repairs, new tire installations, battery replacements, and jump starts, catering to all makes and models, both foreign and domestic, including fleet services.

SPARKLING PEACH WHITE WINE SANGRIA
PREP TIME 5 min REST TIME 1 hour
SERVING SIZE
Serves 4
Something about a chilled glass of sangria that is just so refreshing. And this sparkling peach Sangria highlights fresh fruity flavors that you’ll want to sip on all day long.
NOTES
This cocktail can be made up to 6 hours in advance. Add the club soda right before serving as it will lose its fizz. The longer it sits the more time the fruit has to infuse the drink. For less sweetness, use a dry wine and unflavored vodka. For more sweetness, use Sprite instead of club soda!
In a pitcher, pour peach wine, triple sec, and vodka together. It’s best to chill the peach wine prior to serving. This will create a refreshing cocktail!
Stir with a wooden spoon.
Wash and cut strawberries and peaches into thin slices. Peel the mango and cut into thin slices as well.
Dump the cut fruit into the pitcher.
Then, top the pitcher with the club soda.
Let sit for one hour for fruit to infuse into the drink.
Pour into cocktail glasses, garnish with fresh mint, and enjoy!

CILANTRO LIME PASTA SALAD
PREP TIME 20 min
Fresh tomatoes, crunch cucumbers, and sweet corn mixed with farfalle noodles and coated with a creamy, homemade Green Goddess dressing makes for an amazing lunch, meal prep staple, or barbecue side dish.
NOTES
Store in an air-tight container for up to 5 days. This pasta salad holds up fabulously for meal prep!
This Cilantro Lime Pasta Salad is meant to be served cold. The Green Goddess Dressing isn’t great when heated and the fresh veggies are also best chilled.
First, prepare the noodles according to the box instructions. Once they are cooked, drain and rinse. Allow them to cool. Add them to the large mixing/serving bowl. While the noodles are cooking, prepare the vegetables. Cook the frozen corn (microwave or stove top), chop the cherry tomatoes into quarters, use a vegetable chopper to evenly chop the cucumber and red onion. Use a pizza cutter to finely dice cilantro. Add all of the chopped vegetables to the mixing bowl with the noodles. Add the lime zest over top. Lastly, make the dressing. A blender or food processor is going to work best. You could use an immersion blender as well if needed.
In the blender, add cilantro stems and all (secret: the stem has the most flavor), along with the olive oil and lime juice. Blend it together until most of the cilantro is completely blended - it will look like green juice. If needed, add 1-2 tablespoons of water to help thin it out.
Add avocado, plain Greek yogurt, shaved Parmesan and seasonings. Blend again until completely smooth.
Pour dressing over top of the vegetables and noodles.
Toss to coat all of the ingredients with dressing. Serve and enjoy!

EXPLORING WACO’S
VIBRANT MUSIC SCENE
Waco is thriving and growing every single day. There is something new popping up every time you blink. The one thing I am most proud to see grow in Waco is the live music scene. Music venues are exploding all over Waco and you can find a medley of styles at each one. I want to take you on a journey of music in Waco and mention some of the amazing special events coming up. By Danielle Stone
+ Whiskey House
BARN E T T’S
There is no shortage of music at this location. They do themed music on holidays as well as having regularly scheduled music from Thursday-Sunday. Thursdays are acoustic sets, Fridays are dedicated to country, and the weekends are different as they welcome all genres.
The daytime shows on the patio are kid friendly and there are several fun outdoor patio games.
SLOW RISE
There are two Slow Rise locations, and both have live music often. They highlight Waco locals. You will see a mix of music here. *Extremely kid friendly! No age limits.
MELODY RANCH
Dance & Night Club
This place has all the honky tonk vibes and is still close to downtown. You will mainly see country music here. Very popular venue for locals. *18 and up only.
TEXAS MUSIC CAFE
They have been around a long time, but they just got back to a physical location in Waco in 2022. Their support of the songwriter and performer community is amazing. They support ALL styles of music.
*All ages welcome as long as minors are accompanied by an adult.
Once you head out of the main downtown area, you can find so many hidden gems.
LAKESIDE
THE BACKYARD
Stage & Grill
Yes, they are known for the big names they bring to Waco, but a good portion of their opening acts are often locals of Waco and surrounding areas. When there aren’t big name concerts in town, they do have regularly booked bands that they feature as well. They are known for bringing in country music but they’ve had acts like Snoop Dog and a ton of tribute bands from different genres so you never know what might pop up here.
*During the day The Backyard is completely kid and dog friendly! For evening concerts, check the age restrictions before purchasing tickets as they vary by show.
I would refer to this venue as “off the beaten path.” When you first walk in it might not look like much, but once you get outside it has a huge back area with stages and games, etc. This is another popular spot for locals, and you can find several local Waco musicians here; sometimes they even combine for music swaps. *Age limits depend on event.
FREIGHT
What a fun and unique environment! They regularly have theme nights and a variety of music.
AUGUST:
They often have specials going on anytime live music is scheduled.
*Family-friendly with yard games and occasionally food trucks. It is also dog friendly.
The beautiful thing is this list doesn’t even make a dent in the Waco music scene. You also have the Hippodrome, Extraco Event Center, Marie’s, Twisted Sister, Blue Pup, The Grape, Kissing Tree Vineyard, Segovia and so many more! You will see weekly music lineups at so many of our local music venues. Each typically has their own calendar on their website or Facebook page. There are also so many unique events coming to Waco. Be sure to always check out event calendars for more events being added every day!
