The Smiths’ Devotion to Moeller Continues Beyond Graduation When we decided that Moeller was the best high school for our boys (Andrew, Class of 2015 and Kyle, Class of 2019), we did so because of its rigorous academics, numerous leadership opportunities, incredible school spirit, Catholic faith, and national reputation. After being a part of the Moeller community for 8+ years, we now know it’s that and so much more. It’s the House System, the brotherhood, the devoted teachers and staff, the Marianist inclusivity, multiple student activity opportunities, retreats (Kairos), state championships, community outreach, size of student body, and more. Watching our young boys nervously walk into Moeller on the first day of their freshmen years, and then to graduate as confident and mature Men of Moeller, exceeded our expectations. It’s for these reasons that we continue to stay involved at Moeller. We love the camaraderie with other Moeller families. We still attend games and other school events like the Improv (another hidden gem at Moeller), seeing Diane at the Spirit Shop, and volunteering our time on specific committees. It’s an exciting time to be part of Moeller now, with the Raise the Shield campaign well underway, which will result in amazing changes to the physical structure of the school in addition to growing the endowment for future generations to come. For current and future students, the changes will directly impact their academic and social experience. For alumni and parents like us whose young men have graduated, the changes will strengthen the Moeller brand and reputation for years to come. Go Big Moe! Darrin and Lori Smith are loyal supporters and true partners in the Mission of Moeller High School. Through their leadership and support, their impact will continue to take Moeller to new heights.
