CAPSTONE PROJECT
ART CONNECTIONS | ART CONNECTIONS
YEAR: SPRING 2023
LOCATION: CHERRY STREET PIER
PROJECT GOALS + DESCRIPTION
The research conducted focuses on how the built environment could shape and influence the lives of adolescents who suffer from social anxiety disorders through the implementation of art therapy.
Social anxiety is on the rise due to increased exposure to media and altered ways of life. Non-face-to-face communication limits adolescents’ ability to be able to work together and respond to social situations. Real connections have been lost in modernday society which leads to feelings of loneliness, anxiety, and depression It is important to repair relationships and reduce the overwhelming feeling of anxiety individuals face when entering a new, unfamiliar space.
ART GALLERY PERSPECTIVE
CONCEPT
The center for art therapy provides a sanctuary for individuals to disconnect from technology and connect with their emotions and inner selves through creative self-expression and fostering deeper connections with themselves and others.
This concept statement highlights the idea that the center is a peaceful and safe space for individuals to disconnect from technology and focus on connecting with oneself and others.

COLLABORATION
GREENLAND RESEARCH STATION
YEAR: SPRING 2022, COLLABORATION WITH ZACH WINTON AND ALEXA CACCIOLA LOCATION: GREENLAND
PROJECT GOALS + DESCRIPTION
This project was a collaborative effort between architects and interior designers. Our topic of research was climate change in Greenland. My team’s goal was to design a new research facility near the previous Swiss camp location that ultimately failed due to the rapidly changing conditions of Greenland’s ice sheet This new facility had to stand up to forces the original station succumbed to while pursuing research around the rapidly changing environmental landscape. The facility is planned to be active for a minimum 10-year period.
ENTRY POD PERSPECTIVE
CONCEPT
The concept behind the research center is to go deeper, beyond the surface of the ice sheet to collect data on the melting rates occuring below ground. Both the research conducted as well as the structure itself makes an attempt to break boundaries to further understand how climate change is impacting global sea levels. The station carries out extensive research on ice temperatures and thicknesses while considering the possibility to take an inevitable problem and turn it into a sustainable energy source.

YEAR: AUGUST 2022- MARCH 2023
LOCATION: HOK PHILADELPHIA
PROJECT GOALS + DESCRIPTION
During my internship, I was asked to develop a conceptual palette for a confidential project. the goal was to create a materials palette that followed the concepts displayed within the mood boards provided to me. To create these I analyzed the textures, colors, and design elements within the images and translated them to physical materials. This project gave me the opportunity to show my passion towards working with materials and textures.
