Seabourn has announced details on the spa and wellness offering aboard two of its new ultraluxury expedition ships, including the 132-cabin Seabourn Venture. Designed by Adam D. Tihany, who is conceiving the interior and exterior guest areas across both vessels, the spaces will be located on deck 7 and invite passengers to enhance their physical, social, environmental and spiritual wellbeing through a Mindful Living Programme developed in collaboration with Doctor Andrew Weil.
“Over the past year, wellness has grown in importance in many people’s lives, and our staff will be devoted to providing a series of treatments that ensure travellers can relax, reconnect and recharge during their time on board,” says Seabourn President Josh Leibowitz.
The 3,700ft2 spas will be centred around the idea of a floating forest, with a tree-inspired art mural and live wood features ushering guests into the reception area. From here, natural stone flooring will give way to a palette of muted sage and orange shades, while four treatments rooms – each fusing light woods, textured wallcoverings and bronze accents – will act as ‘branches’ of the biophilic concept, and the sauna will provide views of the ocean and coastline through floor-to-ceiling windows.
Currently available across the Seabourn fleet, Weil’s programme will be led by a Mindful Living Coach and champions a holistic mindand-body approach to wellbeing, offering complimentary yoga and guided meditation sessions, as well as seminars on integrative medicine, nutrition, pain management and creative ageing. Therapists will also deliver massages for the face and body, together with detox, cleansing and wrap services, while a Fitness Director will be on hand in the gym.
Seabourn Venture is set to make its maiden voyage in December 2021, with its yet-to-benamed sister ship debuting the following year.
