Warm memories of Athens When so cold outside, dark and gloomy memories of the fantastic moments that we spent in Athens at the beginning of November last year. Twelve students, including myself, and two teachers from our school ZSP No. 1 in Barlinek, had the pleasure to take part in other exchange students, which was held within the project " We make our dreams come true about education and work in the EU countries" from EU program Eramus+ . It was attended by the 12 students and 2 teachers from the School of Trade in Zagreb, and 26 students and 3 teachers from the 2 nd High School of Vrilissia Athens.
Day one 11.07.2016 (Monday) At 11:30 we set out on a journey by bus, which took us to the airport to Berlin. They did not leave us excited, because most of us have had the opportunity to experience their first airplane flight. It was an amazing experience for us. After the flight from Berlin to Athens boarded the bus that took us to the school Vrilissa 2nd High School in Athens, where the families were waiting for us, who had to stay during the entire stay in Greece. Before the meeting we had the opportunity to get acquainted with their peers through social networking sites and email. To the homes of their "hosts" - our host families, we arrived at about 10p.m. (I might add that Greece is one hour later than us ...). We did not have that day a lot of free time, but it was certainly an eventful day. Although the trip was very exciting, everyone felt fatigue.
Day two 08.11.2016 (Tuesday) The first attraction that was waiting for us on the second day of the exchange was welcome, the presentation and a brief presentation of the partner countries, during which we could see the famous Zorba the Greek or learn a little more about Greece and Croatia. One of the participants exchangeDamian Ladra has prepared a short video showing Poland together and sang the song "Hey hawks" and danced the dance of the Belgian, then we conquered the hearts of our new colleagues, who are willing to join us. We also took part in workshops depicting the education system in the partner countries. After class we went to a restaurant together to enjoy traditional Greek dishes. When our hunger is sated we continued the trip - our next stop was the olive mill, where we could learn and see how it is produced. It was a small factory building, size of our local station Orlen. Inside, however, we observed everything carefully and asked our questions to one of the employees. Busy day ended approx. at 5 p.m. and in the evening all participants exchange met in a pizzeria to eat dinner together and get to know.
Day three 11.09.2016 (Wednesday)
On the third day we all met at 9:00 am at the school, from there to go out to the next point in the program- wine factory, where they were all very curious. Bus journey lasted more than 40 minutes one way, so we were on the spot only approx. 10.00. Wine factory turned out to be a very modern building, which, as we learned later 50% of the energy demand uses of nature. Visiting the factory started with grapes and olive plantations. We saw only a small piece of the whole plant assets, as plantation stretches for miles and also split it up. We were then shown around the factory, and the factory owner showed us and explained the stages of wine production, telling the story of the factory and answered our questions. At the end of the visit, all together we took a group photo and went on our way. The next stop was a restaurant by the sea, where the end of the meal we had an hour to take some commemorative photos of the delights of the Greek landscape, which we all loved. The last point of the day was a diving center, where he welcomed us with two employees. They introduced us to the "underwater world", showing us a colorful presentation and talking about their work. As a result, we were able to learn about diving, not only as a passion, but also how to connect them with career. We saw pictures of animals and plants living under water, as well as photos of wreckage found on the bottom of the sea or ocean (all made by employees of the resort).
The fourth day 11.10.2016 (Thursday) The first point on Thursday's agenda was a visit to the University of Agriculture. We learned a little more about the process of milk production and the conditions that must be met to allow for breeding cows and sheep. In addition, students who guide us through college, showed us the next stages of silk - of breeding insects to the finished product and machine, which for this production are used. We have read also the process of honey production, which we had the opportunity to taste. At the end of the visit we watched a film about the university as well as agriculture in Greece, then continued our journey. After we had a meal the next visit was waiting for us to The American College of Greece. This university has had a great impression on us, because it was made in a very modern style- like the American movies ď Š. In the same university they were held the next succeeding workshops devoted to tourism, the transport, infrastructure and sea industry.
Day five 11.11.2016 (Friday) The attraction, which was waiting for us on Friday was a city game. We were mixed up and divided into groups, we were given maps and tasks, and we started playing. The aim of the game was to find many interesting sights, to get them important information and get acquainted with the culture prevailing in the partner countries. One of the many tasks that we had to do was to learn from each other short songs in a foreign language, which turned out to be more complicated than we imagined. Once all groups reached to set off to see together one of the most beautiful Greek MonumentsAcropolis. We were lucky because the weather that day war superb! In the morning the sun was shining and it was very warm up to 24â ° Celcius. Everyone was very excited, and the view, which can be observed was entering the same top was breathtaking. In the evening all together, along with their teachers, we went to the restaurant to eat a common, farewell dinner. There was dancing, singing, great fun-we used last moment, when we were all together. For dinner, the participants of our group
performed patriotic cotillions, which we distributed to our colleagues, telling them about the Independence Day and the history of our country.
Day six 12.11.2016 (Saturday) All good things come to an extremity packed we went in the morning to collect, to take the bus and end our adventure. These were the last moments spent with the youth of Greece. We thanked them for their hospitality, handing each a modest package Polish sweets, all of us also received a small gift. When the time came to say goodbye, it was a lot of emotion and tears, but also the joy that we could get to know such wonderful people. At the moment, in which we boarded the bus we realized it was time to go home. It was an unforgettable experience and a wonderful experience- we are happy that we could take part in all this. And today, we are looking at the window thermometer remember the sun and warm November days spent there and the friendly relations established with their peers from both countries. Once again we thank our the teachers Mrs. Monica Trif-Jagiełło-Trif and Mrs. Mirosława Korczak, the school management and Erasmus +, we could be a part of this adventure, because it was an amazing experience for us.
