Outdoor Summer Adventure for Teen Girls

What better way to get through the cold, dark days of a Montana winter than to start planning your summer adventures? Alpengirl Camp has been hard at work getting ready for the best summer yet, and is excited to announce more sessions than ever with several brand new itineraries.

Alpengirl endeavors to influence the world just one girl at a time. Each of our unique trips offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for campers to explore new landscapes, exercise her inquisitive mind and develop her physical strength. Alpengirl’s unparalleled programs foster growth through a philosophy of mindbody connection that promotes fitness through adventure. Each camper is encouraged to confidently embrace challenges and to comfortably revel in being her whole goofy, silly, intrepid self. The staff is small and their job is personal, allowing real relationships to blossom.

Alpengirl imparts these ideals through the trials and excitement of adventurous activities and with the emotional nourishment of the natural environment. And, of course, all the classic Alpengirl dancing, games and friendships make the summer even more special.

Here is a closer look at just a few of Alpengirl’s exciting offerings this year:

North Cascades: A 12-day mountain adventure trip for rising 7th to 9th graders through Washington’s “American Alps” –sea kayaking through the San Juan Islands, backpacking in North Cascades National Park, rafting the Sauk River, horseback riding and rock climbing in the Methow Valley and more.

Combining land and sea expeditions, campers on this trip will experience true nature immersion while having the time of their life and finding their inner adventuress.

Montana Wild Explorer: REIMAGINED for 2024! A stunning 12-day adventure for rising 9th to 11th graders through Montana, including a fournight river trip down the wild and scenic Upper Missouri River, rock climbing in Paradise Valley, soaking in natural hot springs, horseback riding under the Big Sky and more.

From peaceful moments on the river to exhilarating slot canyon scrambles, this trip offers water-loving campers the opportunity to leave distractions behind and focus on the simple joys of connecting with friends at camp and the unexpected luxuries of canoe camping.

Yellowstone Horse Mini Adventure: NEW for 2024! An eight-day mini adventure for rising 7th to 9th graders through Yellowstone country, including a three-day wilderness horse-packing trip through the Centennial Valley, along with whitewater rafting on the Gallatin River, swimming in alpine lakes, soaking in natural hot springs and more.

This mini trip is just right for horse lovers who want to explore the beauty and rugged wilderness of the Northern Rockies and have the adventure of

Washington Li’ls (A & B): A one-week introduction to all things Alpengirl for our rising 6th and 7th graders, aka “Li’ls” — backpacking through the beaches and rainforests of Olympic National Park, swimming in mineral hot springs, Alpenolympic games, silly roadside dance parties and friends for life. A perfect fit for the blossoming adventuress, this introductory camp is for our youngest campers who want to try it out and come back for more next year.

It’s a matter of days – eight to 14 days to be exact … the days spent with Alpengirl will encourage, challenge, refresh and excite.
