Remember Pearl Harbor Airs 7pm Tuesday, December 13 Narrated by veteran Hollywood actor Tom Selleck, this program chronicles the personal stories of veterans and citizens who witnessed the surprise attack by the Japanese on the American Pacific Fleet on December 7, 1941, launching the United States into World War II. Using archival footage and photos and graphics, the documentary shows in detail the bombings on Oahu, along with the fiery explosion of the USS Arizona, the sinking of the USS Oklahoma, and the attacks on Hickam Field, as well as on other parts of the island. Remember Pearl Harbor documents the 75th anniversary, the tragic events and the courageous acts of those who were in or near Pearl Harbor on that day. The film includes first-person accounts from sailors, airmen, soldiers and civilians, including Lou Conter, USS Arizona; James Downing, USS Virginia; Vernon Carter, US Army Air Corps, Hickam Field; and Barbara Kotinek, who was just six years old at the time and lived within eyesight of Pearl Harbor.

L.M. Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables tells the story of Anne Shirley, a precocious young girl taken from an orphanage and placed in the care of the uptight Marilla Cuthbert and her brother, Matthew. Pollyanna
Airs 8pm Friday, December 30 After the death of her father, Pollyanna moves in with her embittered aunt. Soon, she charms everyone in the village she now calls home—except her cold-hearted aunt who refuses to see the brighter side of life. Aunt Polly, despite her vast wealth, treats Pollyanna more like stranger than a relative, but, when tragedy strikes, Pollyanna’s sunny outlook persuades her aunt to confront past ghosts and embrace the promise of happiness.

LEAVE YOUR LEGACY Increase your impact with the Montana Endowment Tax Credit The Montana Endowment Tax Credit (METC) is a special benefit for Montana taxpayers who make a planned gift to a charitable endowment in Montana. Montana PBS donors who qualify for the METC reduce their income tax liability, enabling them to consider larger gifts that leave a lasting impact. With the METC, donors receive a tax credit of 40 percent of the value of the gift, up to $10,000, that will be deducted from their income tax liability. Planned gifts that qualify for the METC include: • Charitable Gift Annuity • Charitable Remainder Trust • Paid-up life insurance policy • Retained life estate For more information, contact Crystal Beaty, Senior Director of Development for MontanaPBS at 406-994-6221 or via email at crystal@montanapbs.org.
