Discover the origin story of American horses, which can be traced all the way back to the 50-million-year-old fossil beds of Polecat Bench, Wyoming. From these ancient beginnings, Equus spread around the globe, but mysteriously went extinct in North America. Arriving aboard ships of Spanish explorers, horses reclaimed the continent after a 10,000-year absence. With their return, the stage was set for a new generation of American breeds and a lifelong partnership with humans.

They threatened to hang local sheriffs, attorneys and judges. They turned against their own friends and families. They wrote hundreds of millions of dollars in bad checks. How did a group of longtime Montana farmers and ranchers turn into a seething anti-government movement, intent on overthrowing the status quo and starting their own country? “Rise of the Freemen” explores the anger, desperation, and ideology of the Montana Freemen. Archival footage and exclusive FBI photos and documents trace a rapid escalation of threats against elected officials and the media, the sprawling bank fraud case, and the dramatic undercover arrest of Freemen leaders that sparked the longest armed standoff in FBI history.

Sparks are flying in “Urban Forge: Ozark Artistry” as the first-hand process of taking raw materials from conception to completion comes to life on-screen. The film highlights tools and techniques dating back centuries, and the craftsmanship it takes to produce functional works of art. Experience the pride of craftsmanship while gaining an appreciation of metalsmithing, and passing the tradition down through generations in both skills and heirlooms.
