Hey monsters!! I hope your summer has been great so far... although I've been away all month, the events look so fun and amazing! As school is about to start I'm very excited for club rush at the end of the month and getting new faces to be part of what we do. I look forwards to all the big projects and service events that we can attend as our club starts to expand, so that we can really make a difference! LCKC is capable of great things. Don't be afraid to join us for our Banana Festival on the 17-18th, where we'll be volunteering! Good luck with all your classes as well :)

Welcome, Key Club Monsters! I hope everyone has had an enjoyable summer thus far. Happy first day of school! Don't let this prevent you from working hard and attending the monthly activities that we will provide. It's incredible how quickly the summer has past. This is an excellent time to welcome new members to Key Club and demonstrate what we stand for. It's time to kick off the party for our next big event, Club Rush, at the end of the month. I'm very excited to see fresh faces joining us as a whole and strived for the new school year. Also best of luck with all of your academics :> BAI BAI~

USATF OUTDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP

“On Wednesday, July 17, I volunteered for the USATF Outdoor Championship Event. This was an event that I chaired, as I worked with the Sacramento Sports and Entertainment to recruit volunteers from D7N, D7S, and D7W. This event was quite interesting, as we learned that the USATF is actually an Indiana-based organization that runs track-andfield events for adults across the globe! I was there the first day to set up with a few other Key Club members from my division. We mainly worked to set up banners, construct tri-fold posters, unpack materials, and more. While the sun certainly beat down on the Sacramento Valley, I had a lot of fun getting to know the USATF staff, as they were very friendly and upbeat! I certainly hope that other Key Clubbers enjoyed the event the following days after, as I always feel very fulfilled being able to provide fun community service events to our members and to help serve the people that need it!”

STRAUSS FESTIVAL
July 25, 2024 | Elk Grove
“The Strauss Festival at Elk Grove Regional Park was truly enchanting and romantic. The evening showcased captivating performances, beautifully choreographed to live orchestral music. Festival volunteers were busy distributing programs and overseeing key areas such as the main bridge, back bridge, and orchestra section. The atmosphere was further elevated by a variety of food trucks offering a delightful array of dishes and sweets, adding to the overall charm of the event. The combination of magical performances, live music, and delicious food created a memorable experience that perfectly captured the spirit of the festival. The festival left all attendees in awe.”

DARE TO SERVE + JULY DCM
July 29, 2024 | Elk Grove
“Our monthly July DCM theme was 'Dare to Serve' was held at Elk Grove's Oasis Park. Key club members from various clubs were all welcome to attend. The first thing we did was announce what each club was doing for the coming month and what had happened this month. Then it was time for recognition, and Laguna Creek's dedicated Kiwanis member, Miss. Ireton, received the honor. Later on, we had numerous stations for service events such as dog toy making, color-a-smile, sending Sunshine Cards, and so on. Not only that, but our wonderful DLT were attempting to collect funds for the Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP) by developing a fun little Dare Board for members to enjoy and play. Considering it was summer all members needed to stay hydrated, thus everyone was welcome to enjoy cold water and tasty pop as a refreshment during these events for a wrap up.”
