Hi monsters! Hope your summer has been good so far. Although Key Club always tends to slow down during the summer, don't let this stop you all from attending that one DCM, Interclub, or summer social, even if your Key Club buddies are out of town! I say this is the perfect opportunity to bring somebody completely new to Key Club into the mix and let them see all that we do. Don't be afraid to make new friends either! Our Colorsplash event on July 6th will have Key Clubbers from every corner of NorCal, so this is the chance to follow them on Instagram after playing water games! As for our officers, hang tight as while the year begins, because there's a lot in store for club rush that I can't wait to experience with you all. Thank you everyone for attending the summer social and OTC! It's a joy to get closer with you all. Toodles!

Greetings, KC Monster! I hope that everyone has had a wonderful summer thus far. Don't let this discourage you from working hard and showing up to the monthly activities. Happy Fourth of July, too! It's unbelievable how quickly this year has passed. This is the ideal opportunity to welcome a new member to Key Club, demonstrate all we stand for, and encourage them to make new friends along the road! It's time to get the party started for the next big event, the Color Splash event on July 6th, which will bring together Key Clubbers from all across NorCal. Don't forget to wear plenty of sunscreen and sip plenty of water! Before classes start, enjoy your summer to the fullest and be safe. BAI BAI~

LCKC SUMMER BOARD BONDING
June 9, 2024 | Elk Grove
“Our LCKC club bonding this month of June was packed with fun activities, games, delicious foods, and a little splash in the pool. This event occurred on the 28th of June starting at 4 pm and located at the humbly abode of a recently graduated Laguna Creek Key Club Officer. Attendees of this bonding were tasked with presenting a various selection of delectables and sweet treats. Everyone brought a minimum of one food item and together we had an entire dinner! At the table, we had fire wings, chips, cookies, brownies, chow mien, Gatorade, and much more. Members were also accessible to a nice swing set for two, shade under a grand patio, board games, video games, and a clear, mid-sized pool. Many of the attendees were also seen to be engaging in multiple competitive games on the PS5; games such as Fortnite and Overcooked. Things got quite heated during the plays, but members were able to cool off with a refreshing slice of watermelon before heading home.”

FRHS X LCHS X EGHS SUMMER SOCIAL
June 22, 2024 | Elk Grove
“Our summer social with Franklin and Elk Grove this June took place at Elk Grove Regional Park. This event was filled with lots of fun and laughter. During this event, members within our division were able to get to know each other more as well as having fun, enjoying the food, and creating summer memories! There were water balloons, water guns, water guns filled with color to dye our shirts, and an entire tie-dye station. At first, the board members set up everything and once everyone arrived we were able to have lots of fun such as volleyball, water balloon and water gun fights while enjoying pizza and refreshments like cold water and soda. I think this was such a fun event for our members to socialize and enjoy the warm summer day during our summer break! I met lots of new key clubbers from these other schools and it was super fun.”

TROPICO- OTC
June 29, 2024 | West Sacramento
“Our annual officer training conference (OTC) took place at River City High School in Sacramento. Key club members from 3 different divisions such as Division 7 North, South, and West were all gathered to attend. It was a summer getaway featuring different islands (training sessions), our June DCM, and club markets with division merch. Tropicotc was filled with Key Club education for board positions, techniques for things such as fundraising or member growth, and so much more. We also sold our division merch to fundraise for our clubs. I enjoyed this event a lot as we were able to learn so much about serving for KC, ice breakers that allowed us to meet many new people, and we enjoyed gourmet lunch. Overall I think this was such a great experience as it was my first time going to OTC and I was able to take a lot away from the trainings. Meeting new members from different divisions was also great and I had lots of fun. I highly recommend our members to go to this event next year.”
