FIA3 – Art as Connection Printmaking & Mixed Media Surrealism & Steampunk
Block Printing/Stamp/Mixed media In class we did a case study about Elizabeth Willing and her focus on food in art. I made this press out of a potato to show the art principle of texture.
Gel Print
Surrealism seen in this piece as textures were used to make a random and dream like image
The elements and principles of texture were used in this piece. A cog was made out of a doily as a focal point and emphasis was made on this. The cog relates to the steampunk genre which was our unit in class
Mono Printing
Digital phots were printed and stuck onto an etch paint with ink for this piece. It was then put into a mono print for one press.
The art principle of shape and movement is shown in these pieces because the eye moves between each aspect of the piece
Cyanotype
Negative space
The principle of shape is demonstrated because there is an even amount of objects along the whole cyanotype. For this piece, random objects were placed onto the page and put into the sun to create an image.
