Artist Statement Tracking is a singular piece involving a raised 2D collage, with cut out elements in order for all aspects to be viewed at once. I have explored the concept of a place in which I have presented through various ways such as maps, images and textures using a formal context. Through utilising a variety of materials such as heavy cartridge paper, tissue paper, thread, white gel pen and watercolours, I have abstracted the location chosen in different ways. The location that I have chosen to display within my work is an illustrated map of Carnarvon Gorge which is a place that is both significant to me and my family. I drew inspiration from aspects of Jacqueline Scotcher and John Wolseys, as they explore the concepts of presenting landscape in abstract ways and utilise similar materials and processes. The raised tissue paper on the outer boarder visuals the textured on the rock walls surrounding the gorge, allowing the audience to view the work at different angles displaying each layered element.

Refection for Experiment 4 For my daily routine I have implement the idea of tying my shoelaces each time of the day weather that be in the morning or the evening. There is a sense of routine from Monday through to Thursday in which I go to school each day. However, when the video hits Friday there is a sense of change in which I am tying my hockey shoes, as I have training that morning. Likewise, on Saturday, I am buckling a pair of heels not shoelaces once again that change as it is a weekend. Some days I am seen tying my shoes at school implementing the sense of rush as I did not have time at home to tie them. The footsteps audio over the top may cause discomfort to the audience.

Experiment 6
Refection of Experiment 5 For my Gender specific experiment I focused on the element of wearing pink clothing as a child. I used the same theme of pink in textures as the fabric and the pink stencils. Re – focusing the purpose of pink. It was challenging when I was cutting out the printed images to keep them straight as well as the fabric. However to over come this I ensured I overlapped the elements to make them look straighter. However with the doilies stencil over the top creates an element of not being perfect and cover parts of the images.
Reflection on Resolved Work For my resolved work I included various aspects from different experiments in which I thought worked effectively. Choosing aspects from my semiotics experiment and my abstract land experiment. After some research on artists Jaqueline Scotcher and John Wolseys and I developed my idea of representing Carnarvon Gorge in different ways through maps, photographs and textures. I used orange stitched as it allowed it to be the focal point reseparating the journey along the Gorge.
