Bury Brownies are spending a weekend at Stoke Ash. Rainbows are having outdoor meetings and planning outdoor promise ceremonies.

All of this activity relies on adult volunteers. Being a leader is very rewarding, providing an opportunity to work with girls, develop personal skills and have fun yourself! Maybe you remember being a Brownie or Guide yourself and trying new activities. Perhaps you have been a leader in the past. If so, we’d love to see you back. We particularly need people who would like to work with Brownies (7-10) and Guides (10-14). Both sections have waiting lists and our current units do not have enough space. www.girlguiding.org.uk

The good news is that a new Rainbow unit has just opened in Bury for girls aged 4-7 and Rangers has opened up for 14-18 year olds. Both have vacancies.

If you think you have something to offer why not find out more about volunteering with Girlguiding on the website?
