Palooza Lympics Games Newspaper Race - Two newspaper sheets required per player. Each player must race to the turning point and back, stepping only on his newspapers. He steps on one, lays the other in front of him steps on it, moves the first forward, and steps on it and so on. Supplies: 5 sheets of newspaper per team. (2 to play with – 3 extras for tears) Hanky Panky – Using only 1 hand, pull all the tissues out of a tissue box (could be modified to tear off pieces of TP from a TP roll). Supplies: 1 box of tissue per team (for relay, 5 boxes per team) (2 tissue boxes, 3 rolls of TP for 10 ppl) Ball of String Relay – Players create a circle. First person (captain) holds a ball of string and the ball is passed rapidly from hand to hand until it is unwound. Then it is passed back and rewound. Supplies: 1 roll/ball of string per team. Tunnel Ball - stand in line with legs apart and roll ball to back – last person becomes first and rolls ball again until you get back to the first person. Supplies: 1 ball per team. Hula Hoop – link arms and work the hoola hoop to the other end. Supplies: 1 hula hoop per team Hut Hut Hike – Bend over and hike toilet paper rolls between your legs an through a hula hoop 15 feet away. Supplies: 1 hula hoop per team and 5 rolls of TP per team. Junk in the Trunk – Wiggle a tissue box (filled with 5 ping pong balls) that is attached to your waist with a belt until the box is empty. Supplies: 1 empty tissue box per team, 1 belt or ribbon or string per team, 5 ping pong balls per team. Backlash - This is a relay race, and the racecourse can extend across a large field or around a building. Mark a start and finish line. Teams of pairs space themselves equally from one end of the racecourse to the other. Pairs stand back to back with elbows linked. Blow up 4 large balloons and give two each to the first pair from each team. One balloon is held in each hand of each player. When the leader says “Go”, the first two pairs make their way to the next pair of linked players. The first pair transfers its balloons to the next pair. The first team to cross the finish line wins. Supplies: 4 balloons per team Human Knot – Teams criss cross arms and then try to untangle themselves. Supplies: No Supplies Needed. Shoe Twister - Everyone takes off one shoe and puts it in the centre of the circle. Everyone joins hands. On “Go”, everyone gets a shoe from centre and finds the person who owns it, and puts it back on that person without letting go of hands of people beside them. Supplies: No supplies needed.


All-a-Aboard-a- Tarp (1 person from each team participates) Whole group must get on it so that no appendages are touching the ground off the blanket. Everyone has to go complete a task and run back to the blanket – which has now been folded in half. If the group completes the stand, have them get off and fold blanket in half. Repeat the above process for as long as possible. Supplies: 1 blanket Pyramid – build a pyramid using all students in your group. Supplies: no supplies needed. Tear it Up - Shooting rubber bands at toilet paper attached to an empty soda can. First team to break the toilet paper wins. Supplies: 20 rubber bands per team, 1 roll of toilet paper per team (reuse from hut hut hike), 1 empty can of soda per team, tape Mega Bubble – must blow a bubble across the room into a hula hoop – blow it then guide with just air across the room. Supplies: 1 bottle of bubbles per team; 1 hula hoop per team Lifesavers & toothpicks – everyone gets a toothpick in mouth and has to move 2 lifesavers around the circle. Supplies: 1 toothpick per PERSON; 2 lifesavers per team Number Games – teams must arrange the numbers 1 to 9 in a square so they add up to 15 (diagonally, vertically and horizontally). Supplies: 9 sheets of paper per team with big numbers 1-9 on them. Ball & Spoon Relay - each contestant must put a ping pong ball (usually egg) on a spoon and carry to the finish line and hand off to the next person. Supplies: 1 spoon per team, 1 ping pong ball per team.
