RATES

Rates fund Mosman Council’s services including road maintenance, parks and sports grounds, community facilities, and resident services. To ensure fairness, these are calculated on land size, value and usage. Land values are supplied to Council by the Valuer-General and revised on average every three years. Rebates are available for eligible pensioners and Council offers a voluntary rebate to Australian Service Veterans who do not qualify for government assistance. Making Payments

Rates can be paid in full annually, or in quarterly instalments which are due on the same dates each year - 31 August, 30 November, 28 February and 31 May. There are various options for payment: ƒ Online – using the Commonwealth

Bank’s secure BPOINT or your banking institution’s B-PAY facility. ƒ In person – at any branch or agency of

Australia Post using cash, cheque or

EFTPOS. ƒ At Mosman Civic Centre, using EFTPOS or a credit card (American Express,

Mastercard or Visa). ƒ Over the telephone – by calling 1300276468 and paying with a credit card (American Express, Mastercard or

Visa). ƒ Direct Debit – by setting up a direct debit with Council from your nominated account.
