New Student Orientation

On-Campus Orientation

On-Campus Orientation is an early summer program that exists to connect new students and their families with members of the campus community, including other incoming students, current students, faculty, and staff. During orientation you will:

• Learn about college policies, procedures, and processes.

• Get introduced to resources that will support your success in your first semester and through graduation.

• Discuss the college transition process.

• Engage with campus life and culture.

Online Supplements

• All new students are enrolled in a Canvas online orientation course after On-Campus Orientation. The purpose of the course is to provide new Mounties with information that they will need in order to successfully make it to the first day of class!

• Students will take required courses relating to alcohol awareness and sexual assault awareness through the online platform. It’s important for all students to engage with this material in order for our campus to be as safe as possible!

• For students who may have missed On-Campus Orientation, a virtual option will be available and announced mid-summer.

Orientation Leaders

Orientation Leaders are current students who are tasked with welcoming and guiding new students. Orientation Leaders guide students during On-Campus Orientation, contact students during the summer months, and assist with move in and Welcome Weekend/Week and ongoing activities!
