New Student Experience Checklist
See what steps you’ve already taken and what your next steps might be to stay on track for your New Student Experience.
Get Started 0n Your Mountie Status Page
☐ Complete Intent to Enroll.
☐ Sign up for an On-Campus Orientation.
• When signing up, choose a date to attend.
• You are encouraged to bring your support network with you (mom, dad, grandma, etc.).
• You can add their names and contact information for any members who want to receive communications about Orientation or the New Student Experience.
☐ Talk with an Orientation Leader (they will call you in June).
Register For Fall Classes
☐ Meet with your academic advisor to register for classes.
• Watch for an email to schedule a registration and advising appointment with your academic advisor.
• You will meet with your advisor either in person or virtually, where the two of you will create your student schedule.
• Your advisor can provide you with a mapping of your academic journey for the upcoming semester and for your complete course program (these are called course sequencing sheets). Just ask!
ATTEND ON-CAMPUS ORIENTATION
☐ Enjoy your time on campus.
• Meet new friends.
• Learn about campus resources and student involvement.
• Participate in interactive sessions about student experiences and academics.
• Parents and guests will also have a full day of activities.

Stay Informed
☐ Access your MyMAC email.
☐ Follow us on Instagram @MountAloysiusCollege and @MountAloysiusStudentLife for updates and the chance to win cool giveaways.

WHAT’S NEXT
☐ Register Your Car On Campus
Parking permits are available on the MyMAC Portal. Log in, click on the Students tab, then on the right side under “Common Tasks,” look for the “Parking Permits & Info” and follow the prompts. You will be able to apply for a permit beginning August 1. Student parking permits are $45.
☐ Apply for Your Student I.D.
Campus IDs will now be virtual. You will use your phone for building access and meal plans. To set up and obtain your virtual Campus ID, log into the MyMAC Portal with your credentials. Afterwards, select the IT Helpdesk tab at the top, and scroll to the MAC ID eAccounts section, where there will be a link and further instructions.
☐ Textbooks
After you get your class schedule, you can generate a book list through a link on the MyMAC Portal. Log in, then on the left side under “Quick Links,” look for “Textbook Lookup (Bookstore)” and follow the prompts. Starting in August, you can purchase your books from the campus bookstore. Students may purchase textbooks through the first week of classes.

JOIN US FOR WELCOME WEEKEND – August 25-27, 2023
Move in to your residence hall and get to know your new community.
Participate in fun activities to help you meet other students and learn about your campus. Are you a commuter? Welcome Weekend activities are for everyone-we encourage you to join us for all or some events.
If you are unable to join us for the line-up of events for the kick-off weekend, that’s okay! We have a full week of events planned to welcome new and returning students to (and back to) the Mount!
