Las posibilidades del arte cada vez se expanden más, y es por esto que en BOGOSHORTS, año tras año hemos acogido otras expresiones artísticas que amplían la mirada de nuestros asistentes y nos permiten elevar los sentidos a otro nivel. En esta edición de BOGOSHORTS expone retomamos la dinámica híbrida con exposiciones disponibles para todo público en la plataforma digital. De igual manera volveremos a la presencialidad con la séptima versión de la exposición BOGOSHORTS ilustrado, ubicada en nuestra sede principal, CityU, y con BOGOTÁ SABE A CINE, en la galería de la Alianza Francesa, sede Centro. En nuestras exposiciones, el público puede descubrir nuevos universos, disfrutando de diferentes disciplinas artísticas que nos ayudan a transmitir nuestro amor por el cortometraje, el cine y la ciudad. The possibilities of art are expanding more and more, and that is why in BOGOSHORTS, year after year we have welcomed other artistic expressions that broaden the view of our attendees and allow us to elevate the senses to another level. In this edition of BOGOSHORTS exhibits we return to the hybrid dynamic with exhibitions available to the public on our digital platform. Likewise, we will return to the on-site experience with the seventh version of the exhibition BOGOSHORTS illustrated, located in our main venue, CityU, and with ‘Bogotá tasted like cinema’, in the gallery of the Alliance Française. In our exhibitions, the public can discover new universes, enjoying different artistic disciplines that help us transmit our love for short films, cinema and the city.

Los afiches son una pieza clave dentro de las estrategias de distribución de una obra cinematográfica, pues tienen el reto de invitar al espectador a consumir un producto a través de una imagen atractiva que ha logrado rescatar el carácter de la obra. El concepto y las técnicas son infinitas y hay afiches que tienen un lugar memorable en la historia del cine. Es por esto que cada año el Bogotá Short Film Festival / Festival de Cortos de Bogotá - BOGOSHORTS les da un espacio único a los afiches de cortometrajes seleccionados a través de la exposición Cinemato/GRÁFICA, que en su decimoquinta edición se encuentra alojada en nuestro minisite y abierta al público.

Bajo el concepto de montaje de Motiff, empresa de diseño, y la creatividad de los jóvenes diseñadores que acompañan los procesos cinematográficos de los cortos que hacen parte de la Competencia Nacional del #19BOGOSHORTS, es posible esta exposición de afiches que se disputan la Santa Lucía a Mejor Afiche. A partir de la gráfica, la fotografía y la ilustración, estas piezas reflejan las ideas y sueños del acto de creación colectiva que se encuentran en los cortometrajes.

Posters are a key element in the distribution strategies of a film, as they have the challenge of inviting the viewer to consume a product through an attractive image that has managed to rescue the character of the work. The concept and techniques are infinite and there are posters that have a memorable place in the history of cinema. That is why every year the Bogotá Short Film Festival / Festival de Cortos de Bogotá - BOGOSHORTS gives a unique space to the posters of selected short films through the exhibition Cinemato/GRÁFICA, which in its fifteenth edition is housed in our minisite and open to the public.

This exhibition is possible under the montage concept of the design company Motiff, and the creativity of the young designers who accompany the cinematographic processes of the short films that are part of the National Competition of #19BOGOSHORTS, which compete for the Santa Lucía for Best Poster. From graphics, photography and illustration, these pieces reflect the ideas and dreams of the collective creation act found in the short films.

En esta edición del festival, la sección Especiales presenta los programas ‘Cine clase D: Disidencia. Desobediencia. Democracia’, que busca explorar la naturaleza de recientes levantamientos sociales alrededor del mundo y en Colombia, y proponer reflexión sobre la responsabilidad y los retos del activismo, el poder de la protesta y la oportunidad de usar creativamente material audiovisual fruto de la misma. Bajo esta premisa y las preguntas que nos hacemos alrededor de la ciudad y la cartografía, la exposición BOGOTÁ SABE A CINE se concentra en ubicar en el mapa de Bogotá a los personajes y acciones que conformaron las jornadas de activismo social y político en la capital en los últimos años, a través de una mirada cinematográfica.

Esta exposición fotográfica se encontrará disponible en nuestro minisite para todos aquellos interesados que no puedan asistir. También tendrán acceso a las exposiciones pasadas que hacen un recorrido fotográfico de Bogotá, enmarcando la ciudad en diversos géneros cinematográficos. In this edition of the festival, the Specials section presents the programs ‘Class D Films: Dissidence. Disobedience. Democracy’, which seek to explore the nature of recent social uprisings around the world and in Colombia, and propose a reflection on the responsibility and challenges of activism, the power of protest and the opportunity to creatively use audiovisual material resulting from it. Under this premise and the questions we ask ourselves about the city and cartography, the exhibition ‘Bogotá tastes like cinema’ focuses on locating on the map of Bogotá, the characters and actions that shaped the days of social and political activism in the capital in recent years, through a cinematographic gaze.

This photographic exhibition will be available on our minisite for all those interested who are unable to attend. Como ya es tradición, y tras la edición retrospectiva del año pasado, le hemos encomendado a un selecto grupo de ilustradores colombianos la misión de reflexionar e interpretar a través de la ilustración, con sus técnicas y apreciaciones personales, los principios que guían la pasión por lo que hacemos: la fe en el cortometraje, la fe en el cine y la fe en la ciudad. Más de veinte ilustradores acogieron el llamado para esta exposición que propone un diálogo entre la ilustración y la producción audiovisual.

Podrán disfrutar de esta exposición de manera presencial en nuestra sede principal CityU y virtualmente en nuestro minisite. Durante el mes de enero de 2021, se podrá ver en el Centro Cultural Gabriel García Márquez As is now tradition, and after last year’s retrospective edition, we have entrusted a select group of Colombian illustrators with the mission of reflecting and interpreting through illustration, with their techniques and personal appreciations, the principles that guide the passion for what we do: faith in short films, faith in cinema and faith in the city. More than twenty illustrators answered the call for this exhibition that proposes a dialogue between illustration and audiovisual production.
