Estudió Filosofía en la Universidad de Amsterdam y Dirección en la Academia de Cine de los Países Bajos. En sus años en la academia de cine, realizó una película sobre el endiablado dilema de una familia en la Guerra de la independencia holandesa y dirigió y escribió un cortometraje experimental de ciencia ficción. Se gradúa en la academia con la película ‘Harmonia’, de la que es coguionista. He studied Philosophy at the University of Amsterdam and Directing at the Netherlands Film Academy. In his years at the film academy, he made a film about the devilish dilemma of a family in the Dutch War of Independence and directed and wrote an experimental sci-fi short film. He graduated from the academy with the film ‘Harmonia’, for which he is co-screenwriter.

Cuando era niño, Wilnor no se veía a sí mismo como negro, ya que por su piel clara pensaba que era visto como un niño naranja. Hoy en día, como actor, Wilnor sigue teniendo conflictos porque el hecho de ser negro también significa que sólo obtendrá papeles que representan estereotipos raciales negativos de los hombres negros. En una profunda introspección busca alguna respuesta y encuentra el computador de su infancia, y explora un videojuego que empezó a crear cuando tenía 11 años. When he was a child, Wilnor didn’t see himself as being black, because of his light skin he thought that he was seen as an orange child. As an Actor today, Wilnor is still conflicted because being black also means that he will only get roles which portray negative racial stereotypes of black men. In deep introspection he seeks for an answer and finds his childhood computer, and explores a video game he started creating when he was 11 years old.

Alexandre Desane

Actor, fotógrafo y cineasta. Ha participado en varias películas independientes como ‘To Repel Ghosts’ (2013) y ‘Run’ (2014) de Philippe Lacôte y ‘Heis (chroniques)’ (2017) de Anaïs Volpé. En 2015, fue seleccionado por Berlinale Talents en su taller de actores. En 2020, produjo y codirigió una serie documental sobre artistas autodidactas en Francia. ‘El niño naranja’ es su primer cortometraje. Actor, photographer and filmmaker. He has participated in several independent films such as ‘To Repel Ghosts’ (2013) and ‘Run’ (2014) by Philippe Lacôte and ‘Heis (chroniques)’ (2017) by Anaïs Volpé. In 2015, he was selected by Berlinale Talents in its actors’ workshop. In 2020, he produced and co-directed a documentary series on self-taught artists in France. ‘The Orange Child’ is his first short film.

La pareja de ancianos Monika y Werner Baland vive en un apartamento en los suburbios de Múnich. Un día reciben una terminación debido a la intención de ocupación por parte del propietario. One day they get a termination due to intended owner occupation. But the search for a new home is very hard for the elderly couple. When the bailiff conveys the eviction notice, the couple only got two more months to avoid the eviction. While Monika tries everything to find a new housing, Werner fights for his dignity.

Tras formarse en arquitectura y teatro, se gradúa con mención honorífica del Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (México) con su cortometraje ‘Lily ‹3’. Actualmente desarrolla su opera prima ‘The Diver’. Hace parte de las organizaciones NALIP y Freethework U.S.A. After studying architecture and theater, she graduated with honors from Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (México) with her short film ‘Lily ‹3’. She is currently developing her first feature film ‘The Diver’. She is a member of the NALIP and Freethework U.S.A. organization.

Selección oficial - TIFF, 2021, Canadá Rakan Mayasi Cineasta independiente, nacido en Alemania y radicado en Bruselas. Estudió cine, teatro y psicología en el Líbano y luego se formó en la Academia de Cine Asiático de Corea del Sur. Ha escrito y dirigido varios cortometrajes estrenados en el Festival de Cine de Locarno y en TIFF; también ha recibido 29 premios a mejor cortometraje en festivales internacionales de cine. Independent filmmaker, born in Germany and based in Brussels. He studied Film, Theater and Psychology in Lebanon and then received training at the Asian Film Academy in South Korea. He has written and directed several short films premiered at the Locarno Film Festival and TIFF; he has also received 29 best short film awards at international film festivals.
