The goal of the gallery will be to permanently exhibit the 56” wide STEP watercolors created by John Cage. A set of two gallery spaces are offsetted to form a parallelogram. The space between the two is a transitional pathway open to the lanscape on both ends. In the gallery space, alternating concrete and glass walls display most of John Cage’s smaller sized work; and on the other side, the continuous horizontal concrete wall will hold his 56’’wide STEP watercolor painting. The zigzag form gives people a more completeperspective of paintings at almost everywhere in the gallery.
