Resident Card* Information Resident Cards enable Wentzville residents to access recreation facilities, recreation programs and classes at discounted resident prices. Cards can be obtained at Progress Park Recreation Center, Wentzville Ice Arena and Splash Station (during the season). Each resident, age 2 and up, must have a Resident Card in order to access the facilities at the resident rate.

Parks and Recreation Board This volunteer advisory group to the Board of Aldermen, Mayor and Director of Parks and Recreation, serves as a sounding board by holding public meetings and exercising influence throughout the City to improve and expand recreational opportunities. Members are appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Board of Aldermen for a three-year term. The Parks and Recreation Board (PARB) meets at 6:30P on the first Monday of each month at Wentzville City Hall (1001 Schroeder Creek Blvd.). The meetings are open to the public. Tree Committee Wentzville has been recognized for 11 consecutive years as a "Tree City USA" recipient. In the fall of 2014, Wentzville's Parks and Recreation Board created the Tree Committee, which reviews the City's tree and landscape ordinances. Art and Programs Committee The Arts and Programs Committee of Wentzville, Missouri, is a volunteer nonprofit committee of the City’s Parks and Recreation Board. Your Satisfaction Is Important
All programs must meet minimum enrollment in order to be offered. If there are not enough registrants, a course must be canceled. Unless otherwise noted, all registrations must be received a minimum of one week prior to the start of the first class. Wentzville Parks and Recreation reserves the right to cancel, postpone, combine classes or change instructors as needed. If a class is canceled due to lack of enrollment, registered class participants will be notified of an alternate class or program if one is available or a full refund check or credit slip will be processed within four weeks.

Field and Facility Rentals Whether it's a family outing, corporate picnic, wedding or other special event, we make it easy for you to host your event. We have athletic fields, ice rinks, a banquet hall, pavilions, pools and more to meet your needs. Reservations are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Refund Guidelines • A full (100%) refund, credit or transfer will be given if Wentzville Parks and Recreation cancels the program or rental.
• A cancellation for a Progress Park Center reservation will forfeit the deposit.
• If the participant withdraws from the program before the first class or game,* the Department must receive a request and a full refund will be given, less a $10 administrative fee. The refund will be processed as a credit to the household account.** Credit can be used on future programs. A credit may be used by any member on the same household account.
• A gym or pavilion cancellation must be submitted at least thirty days prior to the reservation. A full refund will be issued minus a $10 administrative fee. Reservation cancellations submitted less than 30 days, but more than 14 days prior to the reservation will be refunded at 50% of the rental fee or the reservation can be rescheduled minus a $10 administrative fee. Reservation cancellations submitted less than 14 days prior to the reservation will forfeit the rental fee or the reservation can be rescheduled minus a $10 administrative fee.
• If the participant withdraws from the program any time after the first class or game, the Department requires a request and a prorated credit to the account will be given, less a $10 administrative fee.** No refunds will be issued after the program or session is half over. • Refunds for medical reasons, requested prior to the start date of the program, will be granted a full refund** subject to verification. • Any refunds processed for volunteer coaching will be applied to the household account for future purchases.
• If a participant withdraws from a program after supplies or tickets have been purchased, the refund will be pro-rated minus these expenses. *No refunds will be issued for adult leagues after the registration deadline. **All youth league refunds will be less the cost of uniforms
• An administrative cancellation fee of $10 will apply to all field rentals.
WE P.L.A.Y. Scholarship (Wentzville Residents Only)
The WE P.L.A.Y. Scholarship program (WEntzville Providing Leisure Assistance for Youth) is designed to provide youth access to recreation and leisure activities ― regardless of their ability to pay. Resident and Nonresident Definitions Wentzville residents are those living within the city limits of the City of Wentzville. City limits and Post Office boundaries are not the same, so it’s possible to have a Wentzville address yet live outside the city. A Household Annual Pass consists of two adults and three children, 22 years of age or younger, living in the same household. More children may be added to a membership for an additional fee.

Holiday Night Lights HOLIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS DRIVE-THRU Rotary Park

The annual Wentzville Holiday Night Lights display at Rotary Park is open on Friday, NOV 25 through Friday, DEC 30. Enjoy a one-mile light display that features large, illuminated commercial scenes and tunnels of twinkling lights. This holiday display is a great way to experience the magic and joy of the season close to home. Drive-thru admission is $10 for vehicles holding up to six passengers; $1 per additional person after the sixth. On Saturdays you can enjoy a visit with Santa inside the Kolb Building, which has been transformed into a winter wonderland! The Drive-Thru will not be open on DEC 4 due to the Holiday Night Lights 5K and Fun Run.
HOLIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS 5K AND FUN RUN Rotary Park
Ages: All
The Holiday Night Lights 5K and Fun Run will take you through our amazing light display at Rotary Park just in time for the holiday season! Runners in the 5K will race through the Stonemoor subdivision and into the rolling hills of Rotary Park. For competitive racers, the top three overall male and female 5K finishers will each win a gift card! All racers will receive a unisex, fleece-blend, crew sweatshirt*, finisher medal and post-race snacks. This race will be chip-timed. Packet pickup is DEC 1 from 3-5P and DEC 2 from 5-7:30P at the Wentzville Ice Arena. Day-of-race packet pickup and registration starts at 3P. At 4:30P, packet pickup will end and the course will be closed to street traffic. The 5K race starts at 5P. The one-mile Fun Run will begin once the 5K route is clear. 5K medals will be awarded after the last runner has completed the course. First place winners of the 5K will receive age group awards for top male and female in each of the following age groups: 10 and under; 11-14; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and older. The top three overall male and female competitors will not be awarded for winning their age group. If you are unable to stay for awards, you may pick up your award at the Wentzville Ice Arena up to two weeks after the event. Medals will not be mailed. No refunds after NOV 13. (Min 100/Max 300)
SLEIGH HAYRIDES Rotary Park

Book a wintertime, tractor-pulled hayride through beautiful Rotary Park to tour the breathtaking Holiday Night Lights. Rides are available on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6P, 6:45P, 7:30P, 8:15P and 9P.* Sleigh Hayrides are perfect for scouts, church groups, picnics, company parties or family/ neighborhood get-togethers. Sip hot chocolate, munch on cookies and listen to holiday music while sitting around the bonfire. The hayride will hold a maximum of 25 people, including lap children. Rides are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. A two-week notice is required; no refunds will be given unless the display is closed. You can pay ahead of time for an additional lap around the park for an extra $25. Rides will not be available DEC 12. DAY

This three-hour walk-thru event allows participants to enjoy the Holiday Night Lights display at a slower, more intimate pace. Attendees will stroll through the one-mile light display and experience enchanted scenes, twinkling lights and joyful carolers. After walking the illuminated route, come inside the Kolb Building which has been transformed into a winter wonderland with decorated trees from local businesses and organizations and get your picture taken with Santa! Special Events CROSSROADS BEER RUN Heartland Park
Ages: All
Join us at Heartland Park for our Crossroads Beer Run. This exciting event includes an evening 5K race followed by a night of sipping craft beer. The Crossroads Beer Run is a beautiful, flat course with paved sidewalks in Heartland Park, the surrounding streets and loop around the lake. All racers will receive a custom short-sleeve T-shirt*, custom glass, a post-race craft beer and a post-race Bavarian pretzel with cheese. Racers under the age of 21 will receive two root beers from our root beer kegs! Interested in bringing the whole family? Kids 10 and under can participate in our FREE ¼-mile Kids Dash. We are also offering a Kids Package for ages 10 and under that includes a custom glass, T-shirt, two root beers and one pretzel for $15. This race will be chip timed. Awards will be given to the top overall male and female only. Packet pickup is SEP 14 from 3-5P and SEP 15 from 5-7:30P at the Wentzville Ice Arena. LEARN-TO-SKATE
Wentzville Ice Arena
Ages: 3+
There 30-minute classes will build confidence on and off the ice and teach balance, coordination and the fundamentals of skating. Classes are held Thursdays at 4:50P or 5:20P and Saturdays at 10:20A or 11A, depending on age. Registration includes skate rental and a punch card for admission to eight public skate sessions. No class on OCT 8, NOV 5, NOV 24 and NOV 26.

Snowflake 1
This class teaches the basics of skating including how to fall down and get up off and on the ice as well as how to march forward. (Min 4/Max 15)
Snowflake 2
Snowflake 2 teaches building block skating skills forward and backward as well as how to glide forward and builds confidence. (Min 2/Max 10)
Snowflake 3
Snowflake 3 students will get more involved in skating forward and backward and begin edge work of the skate blades with an introduction to stopping. (Min 2/Max 10)
Snowflake 4

Does you child dream of playing hockey competitively? It all starts here at our Learn-to-Skate Classes. These classes will teach you the basics of skating geared to children who want to play hockey. Registration includes a jersey and a punch card for a free public session or Stick ‘N’ Puck. Equipment fitting will be on SEP 1 and OCT 27 from 5-7P.
Level 1
Learn the basics from falling and recovery to basic hockey stance. Your skater will learn how to stand and march on their own without assistance. (Min 10/Max 25)
Level 2
Skaters who can stand and move on their own are ready for this level. They will learn basic forward skating strides, stopping (snow plow) and backward skating is introduced. (Min 5/Max 20)
Level 3

LEARN-TO-PLAY HOCKEY Wentzville Ice Arena

Check out these classes designed to teach the basics of hockey skills (stick handling, shooting, skating and passing). In order to enroll in this class, your player must know how to skate backward, crossover and stop without running into the boards. They must also be able to skate from one side of the rink to the other and be able to turn in both directions, all without falling. Skaters will be broken into groups on the first day based on age, size and skill level. A report card will be given at the conclusion of the session to show you where your skater excels or needs improvement and will also tell you if your skater needs to enroll again or graduates the program. Registration includes a jersey and a punch card for a free public skate or Stick ‘N’ Puck session. Equipment fitting night will be on SEP 1 and OCT 27 from 5-7P. (Min 10/Max 30)

While school is out for winter break, the fun of summer camp comes indoors! Campers will make new friends and participate in games, crafts, cooking and a field trip to the Wentzville Ice Arena. You may purchase individual days for $30/38 per day. Day camp will run 9A-4P. Sunrise and Sunset Camps provide care before and after regular camp hours.
