ADULT FISHING DERBY Heartland Park Ages: 14+
Rig your rods and register for this exciting fishing competition. Anglers will fish at Heartland Park Lake and compete to catch the most total weight. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top two winners. Registration will start at 6:30A and the derby will run from 7-9A. Participants have a two-rod limit at $6/7 per rod. Live bait is not permitted. Spring into a day full of flowers and gardening as we immerse ourselves in the beauty of spring. First, we will have a self-guided tour at the Missouri Botanical Gardens learning and viewing much of the 79 acres of bright buds and blossoms. We will then enjoy some exquisite American cuisine at The Piccadilly at Manhattan. After lunch, we will head over to Frisella Nursery and explore their many rows of bright blooms! Be prepared to get your hands dirty and create your own flower container to take home! Trip includes transportation to and from the Missouri Botanical Gardens, lunch and Frisella Nursery. There’s something peculiar going on in southern Missouri! Watch the betrayal as we head to Jackson, Missouri, for a Murder Mystery Dinner along the Iron Mountain Railway. We will begin our trip with a quick jaunt through the historic district of Jackson with a brief history tour and some local boutique shopping. Then we will head over to the St. Louis Iron Mountain and Southern Railway for a quick wine tasting, live show and dinner on a moving train! Join us as we tour the recently renovated Museum of Westward Expansion at the Gateway Arch. The museum now features six new galleries that highlight the history of the West. Once we finish exploring the museum, we will take the tram to the top of the 630-foot-tall monument. After the museum, we will board a riverboat for an adventure down the Mighty Mississippi on the Skyline Dinner Cruise. The view of the St. Louis skyline in the evening features the illuminated Gateway Arch and silhouettes of the city’s vibrant nightlife. Listen to live music while indulging in a delicious dinner menu. Trip includes transportation, museum, tram to the top of Arch and admission on the dinner cruise (dinner and non-alcoholic beverages also included). This is a three-hour class focusing on different art forms including water colors, acrylic paint and more. Each class will be led by an experienced instructor who will walk you through achieving a certain painting. Supplies and snacks will be provided, but you are also able to bring your own drinks to enjoy during the program. The program will run 5-8P.
