There’s something peculiar going on in southern Missouri! Watch the betrayal as we head to Jackson, Missouri, for a Murder Mystery Dinner along the Iron Mountain Railway. We will begin our trip with a quick jaunt through the historic district of Jackson with a brief history tour and some local boutique shopping. Then we will head over to the St. Louis Iron Mountain and Southern Railway for a quick wine tasting, live show and dinner on a moving train! Join us as we tour the recently renovated Museum of Westward Expansion at the Gateway Arch. The museum now features six new galleries that highlight the history of the West. We will also take the tram to the top of the 630-foot-tall monument! After the museum, we will board a riverboat for an adventure down the Mighty Mississippi on the Skyline Dinner Cruise. The view of the St. Louis skyline in the evening features the illuminated Gateway Arch and silhouettes of the city’s vibrant nightlife. Listen to live music while indulging in a delicious dinner menu. Trip includes transportation, museum, tram to the top of Arch and admission on the dinner cruise (dinner and non‐alcoholic beverages also included). Take a trip down south to Wild Animal Adventures in Stanton, Missouri. Here you will see lions, reptiles, emus, a white tiger and more. You will be able to feed animals, play with the dingoes and hold a reptile or two. Afterward, we will have a buffet lunch and guided tour at Meramec Caverns, where we can keep cool from the summer heat! Come visit the oldest and most well-established winery in the Augusta Appellation. This winery saw many years of prosperity before it was forced to close during prohibition in 1920. Since its restoration in 1966, visitors have enjoyed prestigious, award-winning wines and spectacular views of the Missouri River Valley. A guide will take us on a tour of Mount Pleasant Estates and their many historic buildings as we learn about the early winemaking techniques. After the tour, we will enjoy lunch. ALL ABOUT HERMANN DAY TRIP Progress Park Recreation Center

Our trip to Hermann, Missouri begins with a tour of the Living History Farm and Museum. Located on 200 acres, this living history farm tour will guide you through the first settlement village area including the Schuetzenhalle, Four-Square Garden, 1790s trading post, Tradesmen Barn, Riverboat Captain’s House and the Mercantile (gift shop) as well as an open-air tram tour. Afterward, a delicious Deluxe German lunch will be served at the famous Wurst Haus, including a spread of German brats with house-made rustic German potato salad, braised red cabbage and more. After lunch, enjoy a guided tour of the underground cellars at Stone Hill Winery and a tasting of award-winning wines. Experience the history of Hermann from the comfort of your motor coach as your guide from the Chamber of Commerce entertains you with stories of the history of the early days of Hermann.
