22 Pray that our church would be filled with people old and young, who read the Word, heed the Word and speak the Word to each other with joyful speech and sincere love.

23 Pray for the Alpha course beginning this evening.

29 Pray for our brothers and sisters who

today face harassment, discrimination, violence and persecution, that they will hold firm in the assurance of that living hope and be sustained through the comfort and power of the Holy Spirit.

30 Mindful God, thank you that we are

24 Praise God for the hope we have, that all who are in Christ have already been made alive with Him (Ephesians 2:5) and will one day be with Him in glory.

25 God our Father, help us to see other

people from different faiths and backgrounds as our brothers and sisters. Encourage us to invite all people to our tables.

26 Pray for European member states to

focus on how best to share responsibility for the migrants who try to reach its shores.

27 Pray for the Guild as it starts it’s new

session. Encourage more people to become members to enjoy the fun, laughter, fellowship and varied speakers.

28 Love the Lord your God with all your

heart, soul, strength and mind and love your neighbour as yourself. Luke 10:27.

1 As we enjoy the last days of summer we

give thanks for the wonders of creation that we see all around us. Help us to care for our environment and to be aware of the responsibility we have been given by God to be stewards of the planet.

2 Lord, we ask that we would find time each day to spend time in your presence, listening for your voice instead of coming before you with our wish lists. May our hearts and minds be open to your Spirit.

3 Pray for the organisations in our church

which start back this week that they will attract new members and that everyone who attends will find friendship, fun and challenges in the year ahead.

4 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17: 7-8

5 “Give thanks to the Lord for he is good; his love endures forever.” Psalm 118:1

6 Pray for the afternoon tea group as they

meet this month that they will enjoy friendship as they share and chat together.

7 Pray for each boy and leader who attends Boys Brigade tonight. Pray that they will come to know Jesus their saviour and friend.

8 “How precious is your steadfast love, O God, The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings” Psalm 36:7

9 As we approach worship this morning

pray that God’s word will speak into our hearts. Pray that we will keep growing in our faith and share the joy we have with others

10 Pray for all the children who come into

our church building today at Kiddiewinkles & Girls Brigade. Pray that they will sense Your presence Lord.

11 “The Lord is my shepherd I shall not

want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters” Psalm 23:1,2 Take time to be still and enjoy the presence of God .

12 Pray for the Bible Study group that meet

this morning. As they grow in their knowledge may they grow Lord to love & serve You more.

13 “The Lord your God will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing” Zephaniah 3:17

14 After Jesus died, He sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in his followers (John 14:16-17) so as we love and serve Jesus, we see Him active in our lives.

15 Pray that as we read God’s Word we will understand it and take it in.

16 Father God help us to discipline

ourselves for Sabbath rest. Our lives are so busy and sometimes we forget we need to rest. Amen.

17 Praise the Lord and pray in his name.

Tell everyone what He has done. Sing praises to the Lord! Tell about His miracles. Celebrate and worship His Holy Name with all your heart. Psalm 105:1-3

18 For I can do everything with the help of Christ who gives me the strength I need. Philippians 4:13

19 “I wait for the Lord, my whole being

waits, and in his word I put my hope” Psalm 130:5 Patient God, for sisters and brothers waiting for justice, waiting to be heard, waiting for freedom, grant tenacity, empowerment and the liberation they need. Amen.

20 As our Alpha course approaches pray that God would move the hearts of people to attend.

21 Pray for Andrew and the Fraser family as he begins his gap year with Youth for Christ.
