Hello Race Fans!
Happy New Year everyone and Happy 2005 Race Season, can you believe it? It seems like the season came back just as fast as it went. I guess when you truly love what you do; time is just another number that you keep track of. Anyhow, we're back and it's time to kick off another exciting year of Racing Action here in the region, and what a year I believe it's going to be. Your options are great if you are a motocross or off road racer here in the North East. For you Hare Scramble racers, the season kicks off the first weekend of February with round #1 of the BP Promotions PA State Hare Scramble Series at the Flying Dutchmen Motorcycle Club in Pine Grove, PA. The state series will consist of 12 rounds this year with events being held at various venues around the state. The series is again being sponsored by MSR and Answer Racing with huge end of year payouts and contingencies. If you're a Hare Scrambler, this series is worth checking out. For all you Motocrossers, the season will kick off as it has for the past 27 years at the Motorama Indoor races in Harrisburg, PA the third weekend of February. From there the sky's the limit; you have a ton of options to choose from this year. Of course District 6 will be running their Championship Point Series which consists of 21 rounds divided between all D6 tracks. In addition and partly in conjunction with that you will be able to compete in the new Ultimate MX Series which is being sponsored by Tucker Rocky Distributing. Check their ad elsewhere in MRA, I'm sure this will be a series worth looking in to. Then there is the new Mason Dixon Riding Association which will be hosting a 12 round series being held at various tracks along the Maryland and Pennsylvania border offering great payouts at each event along with some huge year end awards. I told you it was gonna be good !! It is more important now than ever for you to stay tuned to MRA for all of your racing options and of course to keep up with all of the in depth race coverage of all of these great events. Remember, you can find all of the information you need to have a successful race season right here in the pages of MRA. Check out our winter subscription promotion on the inside front cover of this months issue. RRP and MSR have stepped up to make the deal even sweeter in addition to all of the great stuff you'll find right here. Have a great start to the racing season and be sure to read MRA each and every month. And please stay logged on to our website at www.mcracingaction.com for all of your great racing photos. I guess the only other thing you need to do is hold on tight, this season is gonna rock.

Tomahawk MX Park - Centrally located and nestled in the beautiful West Virginia hills, features a 1.3 Mile GP style Motocross Track, a Kids Arenacross Track, and a Hare Scramble Loop. We are currently in the process of adding 2 new Kids Tracks and a new Supercross Track, giving Tomahawk a total of 5 tracks. With our new Kids Tracks you can bring your beginner riders out and feel secure knowing that they'll be safe and having fun, even if they're just learning. These additional tracks will be open for the upcoming season. With our various tracks and layouts, we cater to all skill levels and ages. Tomahawk has open practice year round (weather permitting in winter), and there are no memberships required to practice. Practice days are Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Be sure to check our website at www.tomahawkmx.com for updates on practices and races. For the 2005 season, Tomahawk MX will be part of the new Mason Dixon Riding Association (MDRA). We will host two MDRA races, in addition to our own racing schedule. Bikes and Quads are welcome at Tomahawk on practice days. For this upcoming season, we will split up the race days for bikes and quads, so they do not race on the same days.

Flying Dutchmen hare scramble November 21, 2004
The Flying Dutchmen Motorcycle Club ended their 2004 Hare Scrambles season in the mud as is the tradition at the Dutchmen the day after their year end banquet. Mother Nature dumped a ton of rain on the facility all day Saturday and thru the night to create a very sloppy race course, but that did not discourage the 100's of die hard racers that have come to love the mud here at the Dutchmen. Five foot trophies were offered to the class winners on the day and were sponsored by the Style Studio Hair Salon in Bensalem, PA. The FDMC has a full Hare Scrambles schedule on tap for the 2005 season beginning with Round # 1 of the BP Promotions PA State Hare Scrambles Series in early February. You can get their complete schedule on the web at www.flyingdutchmenmc.net and be sure to check out complete event photos from today at www.mcracingaction.com Results: Motorcycles

Special Thanks to Tim / Bobby Kinsley and Chris / Andrew Kinsley for all of their help and support. To Stonewall Cycles and KTM, To Ephrata Cycle and Sports and to Rod and Jeff Yentzer of Doublin Gap MX.
Your cover shot this month is of Kameron Page on the gas hard at Doublin Gap the day after their Annual Fun Day and Family Picnic last fall. Kameron is a local D-6 rider that has impressed us more and more every year and we wanted to just tell you a little about him. Kameron started racing on his Yamaha PW 50 at the age of 5 but quickly progressed to the faster more aggressive Cobra minicycles. Kameron seems to be a natural on a MX bike and has progressed thru the ranks rather fast. He spent a few years on the 50cc machines, and then moved up to the 65cc machines and onto the 85's just last season. I've seen him pull more than one holeshot on his KTM 65 against the larger 85cc machines in the Junior Mini division. I've watched him sail over the Bonzai BIKE SPONSORS at Sleepy Hollow on that 65 of his too, I can only think of one other 65cc racer that I've seen do that. I've watched him climb on the 85 last year at 9 years old and beat everybody to the checkered flag. This young man just seems to do well no matter what he's riding. In speaking with Stonewall Cycles KTM Kameron's father Jerry, he believes that they've been very fortunate with great 705 East Stonewall Dr. bike sponsors, but he believes that Kamerons success comes from the help Front Royal, VA 22630 he's received from Rod and Jeff Yentzers Motocross Schools that they hold at (540) 631-7544 Doublin Gap MX Park. Kameron has been participating in them for years and Ephrata Cycle and Sports Jerry says that "they've made the difference in his riding ability". Kameron has won some track championships over the years. He's also 878 E. Main St. done very well down south in the North Carolina Winter MX Series the last two Ephrata, PA 17522 seasons. In fact he has started 2005 off right with a win on his ECS Honda CR (717) 738-1184 85 in the winter series and looks forward to a big year on the bigger bike. Kameron topped off 2004 with a 6th place finish at Lorettas and two top 5 MX SCHOOL performances at the Mini' Os in November. I'd recommend keeping an eye on Doublin Gap MX School this young man; I believe he has a very bright future in the sport of motocross Rte 696 racing. Any potential sponsors out there, if you're looking for someone that is Shippensburg, PA Kameron holeshots the Junior Mini Class at launching into the future, check out Kameron Page. 2004 BP promotions/fdmc harescramble banquet The fourth annual BP Promotions PA State Hare Scramble Series Banquet was held in late November in conjunction with The Flying Dutchmen Hare Scramble Series Banquet at the FDMC Club House in Pine Grove, PA. Hare Scrambles racing started to become organized in the late 1970's here in District 6 and the Flying Dutchmen Motorcycle Club has been a big supporter ever since. Things have definitely grown over the years for the sport and this last season has been no exception to that rule. BP Promotions took the sport to a whole new level when they created the PA State Championship Series just a few short years ago. They hold rounds at different venues around the state and points are earned toward year end championships. BP Promotions has brought many product manufactures and distributors into the series as well as local dealers and businesses and the rewards for racers are just tremendous. In 2004, MSR and Answer Racing stepped up to the plate and became the major sponsor for the series. Over $ 20,000.00 worth of cash and merchandise was awarded at this year's banquet just from their end alone. Many other companies offered everything from helmets to tires, gear bags and goggles to cash and gift certificates. You almost had to be there to believe it, there was free stuff everywhere. The series is alive and well for 2005, BP Promotions has added an additional two rounds to the series and the sponsors continue to pour in. There will be a Triple Crown series within the series this year, riders who win their respective classes at all three rounds will qualify for additional prizes. You can even win a complete gear sponsorship from MSR and Answer Racing. So don't mess around, if you're a Hare Scramble racer log onto www.bppoints.com for all of the exciting details. Trust me when I say, this is one series you won't want to miss. Jim Bull

MRA: Chip, what are your future goals for racing? CL: Hopefully when I am 16 I will get an offer from a Speedway Team in England to race over there. Also, I would like to get into the Grand Prix Speedway Series that runs all over Europe. MRA: Chip can you tell us about speedway? CL: This summer I am hoping to be back racing speedway full time. I had to sit out the last two years because of my age. They would not let me run my 350 bike until I was 14. A lot of people (adults) have a problem with a 12-13 year old beating them. I decided to race MX and Hare Scrambles during my down time away from speedway to keep my riding skills sharp. MRA: Will you be racing locally again in 2005? CL: Yes, I will still be racing Hare Scrambles and maybe some MX. MRA: Can you tell us about your first race? CL: It was a Flat Track Race in Carnesville, GA in 1996. MRA: How'd you do? CL: I didn't get last place. MRA: Who or what inspired you to start racing? CL: My dad, he raced flat track and speedway. MRA: What keeps you racing? CL: Fun, being with my friends at the track and being with my family. I get to go to a lot of different places to race.
Past Accomplishments: Chip's accomplishments are many, from being a 50cc flat track Champ in Georgia to winning Speedway divisional championships up and down the East Coast and in Canada. Chip was the first Junior Rider from the East Coast to race in the Junior National Championships in Auburn, CA. Most recently, here in D-6, Chip has won track championships in both Hare Scrambles and Motocross Competition. If you see Chip at the track, say Hi. I'm sure he'd love to tell you all about it. I'd like to thank Chip and his dad Damon for helping us out with this Racer Review and we would like to wish the whole Lengle Family the best in their future racing endeavors.

Sean Knoll Does Anaheim 1 The KTM Junior Supercross Challenge, now in its 9th year is a program that lets 15 lucky racers feel like a Factory Pro at each round of the AMA THQ Supercross series. 20,000 youngsters from around the country apply each year for a chance to compete at these prestigious events and thru the luck of the draw a handful get to live out their dreams courtesy of KTM and their sponsors. 7-8 year old racers get to compete on identically prepared KTM Sport Minicycles and get to live the life of a Pro Racer for a day. This year, 7 year old Sean Knoll a local D-6 competitor from Hazlet, NJ chased the dream and applied. On his first attempt ever Sean got picked and he and his family packed their bags and headed for California. Unfortunately the Knolls went to California and so did the rain, truckloads of it. Anybody watch Round 1 on ESPN? The track conditions were so bad the kids were not allowed to compete due to safety concerns. Kudos to the folks that organized this event, 15 kids showed up to compete, and that they could not do. But they were treated like kings no matter the weather. Sean was announced onto the track in front of a stadium full of fans, he got to stand on the podium. He got tons of free stuff and best of all he got to meet some of his heroes. Sean had one on one encounters with Kenny Bartram, Travis Pastrana and Ronnie Renner, he also got to shake hands with James "Bubba" Stewart and Jeremy McGrath. Talking with Sean's dad John, he said "Sean was on top of the world; he was a Factory KTM Pilot for the day and was treated like a star".

Don't think about training as hard work and not much fun – mix it up and try new things. There are a variety of exercises you can do that will benefit you when the season comes along. First you need to determine how long you need to train. This is based on your racing level. If you are an amateur or a vet rider you are only looking for the endurance of four or five laps. The pro riders of course will need more since they will need to last for two - thirty minute motos. A high intensity three-mile run or a one-hour bike ride will be enough for the amateur or vet. While the pro needs to step it up to a couple of hours on the bike and at least an hour run. If you have bum knees like I do then you know that running outdoors or on the treadmill is out all together but I have found a piece of equipment that will help to replace it. An elliptical cross trainer mimics the motion of running without the pounding to your knees. Easier on the knees and yet still an excellent workout. I know some of you are thinking that running indoors is boring. If you go to the gym in the evening like I do, take advantage of the time, put on some tunes and just let it rip for a half an hour or so. I liked this piece of equipment so much that I went out and bought one for home. The best part is now instead of listening to music I can watch my favorite MX DVDs and really get into it. So you are thinking that all of this is great for your endurance but what about strength training? Well you need to do that to. You don't need to lift like a power lifter or a body builder and become a gym rat. You can get away with only two or three days a week on the weights. Also mix it up with one day a week for high reps with 10-12 per set and on the other days you can drop down for more strength with six to eight reps per set. Try to keep your weight workouts to one hour and no longer than one and a half hours. Remember you are not going to bench-press your MX bike anytime soon I hope. Don't forget about training your core, abdominal muscles and lower back muscles. This is one of the most important areas. You use them to support your body while racing. You can do crunches and back extension to work on your core. During weight training your lower body can stay with three basic lifts - squats, leg press, and hamstring curls. For upper body you can do dumbbell bench press, seated rows, seated overhead dumbbell press, hammer curls and also triceps push down. If you really want to help your riding try some of these exercises sitting on a physioball or Swiss ball. It will improve your balance – we do have to do this too to ride a motorcycle. Below is a one-week work out schedule you may want to try. - Bob Schuler

2004 Timonium Indoor Short Track Series 28th ANNUAL INDOOR SHORT TRACK SERIES/ RODNEY FARRIS MEMORIAL: ROUND 1
Johnson Jams at Timonium Indoor ST Opener By Ben Breech Photos by Ben Breech TIMONIUM, MD. DEC. 10 Moroney’s Honda sponsored Jake Johnson scored a pair of wins as the Baltimore County Trail Riders Association/Cockeysville Optimist Club hosted their 28th Annual Indoor Short Track Series in the Cow Palace Building at the Timonium Fairgrounds. Johnson topped one of his mentors, Tom Majeski, for the Adult 50 win and went wire to wire for the Open Pro win. The events are run a little different than other local races with no distinction between A and B riders from the 125 and larger machines. In those classes, time trials determine starting positions for the four heats per class. From there, the riders went to two, eight rider semis. And with the exception of the two crazies class, the Adult 50 and Adult 100, riders are limited to one class. This year the 50 classes were changed to a Beginners for riders who have never won a feature, and Open for the more experienced. The winner of the Beginners class would be moved to the Open the following race. All final winners tonight received special four feet trophies sponsored by C. T. Hoffman & Sons. After being beat by Majeski in both heat and semi, Johnson grabbed the holeshot at the start of the Adult 50 final from Scott Sayers, Roy Miller and Majeski. On the third lap, Majeski shot into second entering the first turn. While Sayers, Miller and Ken Yoder traded third, Johnson pulled away. In the Open Pro final, Johnson again grabbed the lead, this time from Jason Isennock, Donnie Mullen, Raun Wood and Ken Yoder. With lap times around seven seconds, one screw up, is very costly. The tight battle for third claimed Mullen in lap two on the third lap. On the ninth lap, Yoder and Wood also fell in the same spot, letting Chris Klinefelter into third. Todd Stith took the 125 lead from Shawn Rothstein, Joe Schueler and Nicholas Henderson. Schueler took second off four on the fourth lap, with Cory Texter slipping under Rothstein for third entering one, before he regained his rhythm. The front three stayed the same distance tot he end. 2004 Horizon Award winner, John Lewis, used his woods bike to win the 250 class over Bob Sweeten and Brandon Robinson. The youngster Robinson was pounding on wily veteran Sweeten’s rear tire in the closing laps. Dillon Cava grabbed the 450 lead from Rob Smith, Scott Saunders and Tim Bemisderfer. Saunders slipped into second about halfway as they negotiated the lapper minefield. Smith retook second off the fourth turn on the following lap. Klinefelter put his ‘mosquito killer’ Honda in front of Saunders, Jared Mees and Bemisderfer at the start of the Adult 100 final. Mees took second off four on lap three, while Bemisderfer takes second about halfway. With two laps left, Bemisderfer crashes in two, taking Mees with him. Shayna Texter easily won the Women’s class, with Brett Pugh winning the 85 in front of a spirited battle for second between Texter and Tyler Kidwell that went to Texter. OPEN PRO: Start of final; 1st (14) Matthew Langrehr took the 65, with Colton Smith topping Jake Johnson; 2nd (30S) Jason

28TH ANNUAL TIMONIUM INDOOR SHORT TRACK SERIES/RODNEY FARRIS MEMORIAL: ROUND 2
A Timonium Tale By Len & Ben Breech Photos by Len Breech TIMONIUM, MD. DEC. 11 With Christmas only two weeks away, the results at the second round of the Baltimore County Trail Riders Association/Cockeysville Optimist Club sponsored indoor short track series appeared to be visits by a version of racing spirits of past, present and future. Representing the past was 250 and 450 winners, Larry Sweeten and Tom Majeski, who have competed here since the series started twenty eight years ago. The present was Jake Johnson doubling again in the 50 Adult and Open Pro finals, and the future was the Texter siblings; Cory’s surprising holeshot win in the 125s and Shayna’s double in the 85s and another easy Women’s class. The 250 was almost in the future category as Brandon Robinson grabbed the lead from the Sweetens, while Friday’s winner, John Lewis, and Crash Hathaway got tangled up in a crash that slid the distance of the back straight. On the fourth lap, Robinson fell off the fourth turn, getting run over in the process. With some confusion over who was where behind second, it was decided to completely restart the final, with Robinson on the penalty line for causing a red flag. Off the official start, Larry grabbed the lead from Bob, with Hathaway, Lewis and Dale Verzi behind. Hathaway fell in two on the fourth lap giving Lewis third. Larry won by several lengths, while Lewis was pounding on Bob’s rear tire at the end. The 450 was very clean as Majeski took the lead from Dillon Cava, Scott Saunders and Rich Mellinger. The order stayed the same as they quickly reeled off the fifteen laps. For the final race, Majeski handed the machine to Johnson, while Cava turned his over to Donnie Mullen. At the start of the Open Pro final, the same machines were in the same order as the 450, with Ken Yoder and Mike Varnes behind. Johnson had a full length on the field off two and gradually pulled away in the early going. On the tenth lap, Yoder slipped under Mullen for second and started to cut into Johnson’s lead. But Johnson held on to win by a length. While not known as a quick starter, Cory Texter nailed the 125 start on his Lancaster Harley Davidson sponsored KTM, leading Todd Stith by a length going into one, with Austin Greenland and Joe Schueler close behind. As Texter pulled away, Schueler took over third on the tenth lap as they were going through the ever present lappers. Friday’s winner, Brett Pugh, jumped into the 85 lead over Tyler Kidwell, Shayna Texter and Frank Valentin. About the seventh lap, Pugh had trouble with a lapper and fell. After several laps of probing, Texter slipped under Kidwell as they came off the fourth turn on lap ten. On the final lap, Cassidy Heiser slipped under Kidwell in lapped traffic as they entered the third turn to take second. Shayna then changed machines and easily won the Womens class over Samantha Resch and Nicole Mester. Scott Saunders was another spirit of the past to win as he took the XR 100 class over Bryan Bemisderfer and Chris Klinefelter in a fairly uneventful final for this class. Brandon Atkinson took the 65 lead from Kyle McKim, Thomas Webb and Matthew Langrehr. Langrehr took second on the eighth lap, and started pressuring Atkinson to the line, but Atkinson held him off. Jahleel Blanton took the beginners final, with Ken Venarchick topping the 50 Open.

Siblings Steal Show at Timonium Indoor Finale By Len & Ben Breech Photos by Len Breech TIMONIUM, MD. DEC. 18 A pair of siblings, Shayna and Cory Texter and brothers Ace Phillips and Donnie Mullen, each took a win at the final round of the Baltimore County Trail Riders Association/ Cockeysville Optimist Club sponsored indoor short track series. Mullen topped the Open Pro, with Phillips taking the 450 final. Shayna remained perfect with her third straight Women's class win, while Cory took the XR 100 class. Both also finished a close second in another class; Shayna in the 85 and Cory in the 125. Chris Klinefelter briefly led the Open Pro final, but Mullen put his Shennadoah Honda sponsored Honda into the lead with Jake Johnson, Klinefelter and Wood followed. With Mullen and Johnson close for first, Wood, Klinefelter, Ken Yoder and Paul Lynch were bumping and banging. After ten laps of trying, Johnson tried to push the issue for the lead, only to fall in turn four and managed to collect Yoder. In the confusion, Lynch took over second. Phillips took the 450 lead and continued uncontested to the end. Ryan Henderson gated second and managed to stay upright for an entire race to claim second. the fun started after that with Scott Saunders, Rich Mellinger and Rob Smith fought over third. On the seventh lap, Smith tried to get under Mellinger only to fall and col50 Adult: Start of final: lecting Tom Majeski. A few laps later, Mellinger got by Saunders for third. 1st (14) Jake Johnson; The Texter's wins on their Lancaster Harley Davidson sponsored machines were very similar wire to wire affairs. Shayna finished over half a lap in front of 3rd (56) Roy Miller; 4th (57) Ken Yoder Samantha Resch and lapped the rest, while Cory's XR 100 win used his newly found holeshot ability to leave Bryan Douglas, Dale Verzi and Chris Carr fighting for second. The only change was Douglas dropped back to fourth. In the 85 final, Brett Pugh took the lead from Cassidy Heiser, Texter and Frank Valentin. Texter took second entering three on the sixth lap and started closing on Pugh. About the tenth lap, a lapper fell behind Pugh. Texter used his bike as an impromtu jump, but Heiser got tangled up. This gave Pugh the breathing room he needed. After having engine problems last week, Shane Rothstein had the fire in his eye tonight in the 125 class, winning his heat and semi. At the start of the final, he quickly pulled several lengths in front of Cory, Todd Stith and Joey Parks. Parks takes over third on the second lap. About mid-point, Texter unleashed some quick laps that cut into Rothstein's lead. He took the lead entering three on lap ten, but Rothstein retook it two laps later. A lap later, the race was red flagged when Parks plowed into a downed rider off turn four almost blocking the track. John Lewis returned to his opening race form, grabbing the 250 lead from Dale Verzi, Chris Hathaway, Bob Sweeten and Brandon Robinson. On the eighth lap, Hathaway slipped under Verzi off four for second. Two laps later, Verzi and Sweeten collided and fell. In the late laps, Robinson pressured Hathaway for second, but came up short. Roy Miller took a surprise 50 Adult lead from Johnson, Majeski and Cory Hormes. Johnson took the lead at the end of the fourth lap, while Majeski got by before the next turn. Over the rest of the race, the front trio stayed close. Colton Smith looked like he was going to repeat his opening night victory in the 50 Open class as he grabbed the lead from Ken Venarchick, Tyler Stacey and Ryan Varnes. About halfway, Smith got tangled with a lapper and went down, giving Venarchick the win. Colin Webb took the 65 final, with William Byler taking the 50 Beginner class.

Well another season is behind us and the new one will be here before you can say "is that smell coming from my gear bag"? So are you ready? If you bought a new bike for the coming season you are probably a bit more prepared but don't kid yourself you still have some work to do. Very few if any dealers will go to the trouble of race prepping a new bike. Its up to you to make sure that everything is ready to go. First thing first, the suspension linkage and swingarm bearings will need to be greased. I know I know, you hate this job at any time of the year but trust me you at least want to check and make sure other wise you'll have problems before the season is fully underway, and hey it's better to do it now while the bike is beautifully pristine than later when you got it all mudded up. Japanese bikes are notorious for only having a thin film of assembly lube in their bearings, this is basically the lube that the bearing manufacturer put on the bearing to prevent corrosion. It's not enough though. We need a good waterproof grease liberally applied to all the bearings to keep them functioning throughout the season. I was always curious why the bike manufacturer didn't grease them up when they assembled the bikes, the story I heard is that there are limits on the amounts of chemicals (oil and grease) that can be imported as part of any unit. True? It sounds like a load to me but I've had dealings with U.S. customs over the years and I wouldn't be surprised if it was true, or maybe the bike manufacturers started the rumour so we wouldn't think they were a bunch of lazy gits. Anyway, after doing this little job move on to the steering head bearings, I find this to be a 50/50 kind of thing as I have seen some that are well greased and others that are bone dry. Check 'em. Now oil your air filter. Thats right there is usually no where near enough filter oil on the filter. Run it like this and you are taking a big risk. So whats left? Personal detailing. Handlebars, Grips, Tires, Numberplate backgrounds that are the correct colour for your class with numbers installed centered and straight, remember nothing makes you look more like a beginner than crooked numbers. Now what if you didn't get a new bike but have decided to run the old bike one more year. Nothing wrong with that. A one or two year old bike is still competitive as long as its been well maintained. To prep it for the coming season I suggest tearing it down to the frame, this will give you the opportunity to inspect everything as it comes apart and goes back together as well as meticulously clean and grease it. I used to do this every couple of weeks when I was racing, I eventually sought counciling and am now down to just once every couple of months. If you have some new goodies like frame guards or fancy anodized doodads then now is the time to install them. A new set of plastic and graphics will go a long way to making the bike look like all the new ones on the track, and I can't explain why but it will run better because of it. If the suspension hasn't been serviced since the end of last season get it done. Forks can sit all winter with fresh oil and be ready to go come spring provided they aren't leaking which

If you have an event that you would like promoted please mail it to MRA. can happen from sitting. But a shock that was serviced and then put away for three months needs attention. This may sound a bit drastic but bear with me and I'll explain. Kayaba and Showa shocks use a rubber bladder to seperate the oil and nitrogen. Pressurized at 150 psi the nitrogen will permeate the bladder and get into the oil due to a process called osmosis. They taught us about this in High School, of course I wasn't paying attention then because my science teacher neglected to correlate it to dirt bikes but rather to some bodily function that I had no control over or interest in. If he had, maybe I would have looked up from my issue of Crash and Burn and paid attention. Once the nitrogen is in the oil they will mix and form an emulsion which makes a lousy damping medium in a shock valved for a specific viscosity of oil. We charge $45. for a service it's cheap and well worth it. Ultimate Motocross Championship Series Dear Motocross Racer, The promoters of a great, new motocross series in District 6 are excited to announce the Ultimate Motocross Championship Series, sponsored by MSR, ANSWER, and PRO TAPER. The Ultimate Motocross Series will run in conjunction with the District 6 Series on the same day. Any rider participating in the District 6 Series could also win the Ultimate Motocross series by riding the same races. Eight of the best tracks in our area have been brought together to host the Ultimate Motocross Series with MSR, ANSWER, and PRO TAPER agreeing to add their contingency program to the races. (see Details below). This series will hold a Fun Day and Awards Banquet on November 5, 2005, at Doublin Gap. A free ride is planned for all of our registered riders with the awards being handed out afterwards. On hand that day will be reps from Tucker Rocky, MSR, Answer, Pro Taper, RRP, and all other sponsors involved in the series. All participating Ultimate Series riders who want their points kept towards year-end awards, must purchase an Ultimate Motocross Rider Club Discount Card. The cost of this discount card is only $15.00. Discount card benefits include discounts at local shops, a free ride day at Doublin Gap for the awards banquet, and a chance to win all of the products listed below. We are offering a one-time opportunity for you to ride 5 rounds of this great series before you have to buy the card, because we are so sure that it will be a success. Any rider is welcome to ride 5 rounds, but if a card is not purchased rider points will not be recorded and there is no eligibility for the awards at the end of the year. We are very proud to join forces with these sponsors to bring you what could be the biggest and the best series in the Northeast! All we need is your participation to make this series a great success. Please mark your calendars for the ULTIMATE MOTOCROSS SERIES!! Additional Information: Ultimate Championship Series, Promo-tech, P.O. Box 207, Hazelton, PA 18201 570-454-1973 Visit our website at www.ultimatemotocrosschampionship.com "The Ultimate Motocross Championship Series has been a long time coming. I wouldn't be surprised if this attracts the very best riders from every track during every round." -- Tom Welch "This series will bring the best of the best together to settle the score of who really are the fastest D-6 racers." -- Ty Wallace "Finally a series that promises to deliver great prizes, manufacturer's contingency, good series cash payouts, and; most of all - good, fast competition. I'll be there." -- Damion Plotts "I've raced in the district for years and the Ultimate Series will be the events that I will follow because it will be the best - much better than just a local track series that offers a trophy and a jacket." -- Jim McIlvaine "MSR and Tucker Rocky have raised the bar of a district race series with the 2005 Ultimate Motocross Championship Series. When I'm not at a national, I'll be at an Ultimate MX Series event, for sure." -- Barry Carston "The competition will be unbelievable, I live for that" -- Jeremy Cook "All the big names in the District, the best tracks in the District, on the best bikes... what else can you ask for?" -- Casey Clack
