The results from our reader survey are in and the majority of you said you want to see more race results and more photos.Watch in the coming months we are going to do our best to accomodate you !! At this point in time MRA is obviously not big enough to list all of the race results in the district, but keep those subscriptions coming and one day soon our paper should be able to cover all of your district events. There were also some requests for old race results and statistics, unfortunately there are not a lot of resources available for that type of information - if there is anyone out there with access to stats and records we would love to hear from you. This years race season has started off great. The weather has been fantastic and the local tracks are getting great turnouts. Let's all help to keep our sport strong by racing responsibly,by joining your local district and by supporting your local dealers and track owners. Again please send us your comments and suggestions and we'll see you at the races.

Sleepy Hollow, March 30, 2002 50 cc Oil Injection Class My dad got me my dirt bike in the begining of march. I wanted to race my dirt bike. my dad and mom took me to sleepy hollow. It was Cool, I placed 5 - 6 took 5th overall. Can't wait to do it again.

It’s a great time to pick up a 2002 KX!

For 2002, both the KX125 and 250 have been further refined with changes to the engines to increase power and revised suspension to dial in the ride.
Also the KX85 returns after an incredible debut year in 2001 where is won it’s share of amateur championships and was named Best Mini-Motocrosser by Motocross Action magazine. This mighty motocrosser is the answer to championship dreams. Followed by the mid-sized KX100 which incorporates many of the KX85 improvements. They will definitely be front runners on the amateur scene.
The mightiest of minis is the full-featured KX65 for those who want to eventually make the transition to the bigger minis. It has revisions to the frame and suspension for improved performance. Having the KX60, KX65, KX85, and KX100 to choose from, the future stars of the sport can graduate to each level as they develop their skills and ambitions.

Plotts was flying out front on the thumper and had a 10-second lead by the last lap. Plotts managed to add another second to his lead by the checkered flag. Rounding out the top five were Mowry, Stull, Carsten and Welch.

Plotts topped the 250 Open A class podium via his perfect 1-1 score while Stull’s consistent 3-3 rides earned him the runner-up spot of the podium. Mowry rounded out the podium by virtue of his 2-4 score. Nick Mowry (127) who moved up to the expert ranks for the 2002 season, battles with Bromley Suzuki’s Barry Carsten (66) for the lead in the second 125 A class qualifier at the Northeast Classic on March 24th in Newburg, PA.

Colton Bailey from Woodbine, MD is our Holeshot Hotshot for the month of April. Colton pulled the holeshot in both motos in the 65 cc 10 - 11 class on a beautiful spring day at Happy Ramblers M/C Club in late March. Colton took both moto wins for the overall in the 65 cc class, he also placed second in the 85cc 7 - 11 class. Colton is a 13 time National Mini Champion, and will be competing in all the big races again this year. Watch out next month, maybe you'll be the next MRA Hotshot.

Pickerton, Ohio – AMA Pro Racing and Clear Channel Entertainment's Motor Sports division today announced a new, seven year agreement for the 2003-2009 AMA Supercross seasons... ... extending the 28-year relationship between the two organizations. The agreement provides that AMA Pro Racing will continue to sanction all supercross motorcycle races produced and promoted by Clear Channel Entertainment in the United States. After lengthy discussions, both groups concluded that working together was in the best interest of supercross riders, fans, sponsors, television viewers, race teams, AMA Pro Racing and Clear Channel Entertainment, and positions supercross for significant future growth. Charlie Mancuso, president of Clear Channel Entertainment's Motor Sports division, said, "We are proud to announce the continuation of our long-standing relationship with AMA Pro Racing, and are thrilled to focus all of our efforts on taking the sport of supercross to the next level and beyond. Our job is to work hand-in-hand with AMA Pro Racing to continue the rapid growth and development of the most successful motorcycle racing series in the world. We want to thank the riders, fans, race teams and sponsors for all of their patience and support during the past few months." PJ Harvey, chairman of AMA Pro Racing, said, "The last few months have felt a bit like a lap around a supercross track - fast, furious and with its fair share of bumps. But in the end, we have come to realize that continuing our relationship with Clear Channel Entertainment most effectively meets the needs of AMA Pro Racing to continue growing the sport. was the clutch, some of us said the brake, or the lever was the front brake, some said the clutch or gear shifter was the throttle, some said the gas, (which is right), some also said the hand grip. was the kill switch, some said the start button, someone else thought it was the turn signals, (good try) was the fuel petcock, what is that anyway? some of us thought it was the oil gauge and gas switch. was the choke/carburetor, isn't that the off switch? some said the ignition was the front brake hub, any one who said it was anything with the brake, that sounded good to me. was the exhaust, OK, muffler and tail pipe sounds close enough. was the gear shifter, any one who said brake or foot peg would definitely be going no where fast, and was the kick stand and we ALL got that one right.
I hope you enjoyed the survey, it was a lot of fun trying to name those parts. I'm really looking forward to getting out there and meeting and talking to you gals who trek to the track each week. What I'd like to hear are your stories about your guy, and how well, or, how poor his racing season is going so far this year. Like maybe his "bloopers", and of course I'm gonna keep everything confidential, so you don't even have to sign your name.
