Design award contention

EOI initiative offers housing hope WEST Australians struggling to secure affordable housing will benefit from a new State Government Expression of Interest (EOI) process and an expanded shared equity home loan scheme which will provide up to 2000 shared equity loans over the next two years. Speaking at a Housing Industry Association (HIA) event, Housing Minister Troy Buswell said the EOI scheme, administered through the Department of Housing, would procure housing across a range of areas, including social housing, Government Regional Officers’ Housing and Keystart shared equity home loans. “Linked to an expansion of the Government’s shared equity loan scheme, the EOI will underpin Government and industry efforts to increase the supply of houses at an affordable price,” Mr Buswell said. “With a focus on new construction, the EOI supports the housing industry at a time when new building approvals have declined and allows the Government to maximise its investment in social and affordable housing for West Australians. The EOI will have a
